The Supreme Court of Nigeria has ruled that Section 46 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Act should be construed within the narrow confines of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, the precursor to the establishment of the EFCC - to prevent illicit financial outflow from Nigeria.

EFCC should not arrest anybody unless the allegation is about "illicit financial outflow from Nigeria".

Banning the use of motorcycles across the country is a sledgehammer approach; it is not necessary.
This decision should be left for the state governments and the federal capital territory.

The WHO cannot be trusted.
Gavi cannot be trusted.

There has been an agenda to reduce the world population.

It is called a vaccine, but it is not a vaccine.

It is better to err on the side of caution.
Do not take the so-called "malaria vaccine" or any "vaccine" from Gavi, regardless of any other person's decision.

Foreign Affairs / New York City Officials Share On How To Prepare For Nuclear Attack by panpan(m): 9:40pm On Jul 12, 2022
Officials in New York City have released an eerie explainer video telling residents what to do in the event of a nuclear attack.

The New York City Emergency Management Department launched a new public service announcement (PSA) on Monday that focuses on nuclear preparedness, detailing the three key steps New Yorkers should take if the Big Apple is nuked: Get inside, Stay inside and Stay tuned.

The unnerving video begins with virtual footage showing New York brownstones and apartment blocks as emergency sirens ring out in the air.

A woman appears in the street and outlines what to do next: “So there’s been a nuclear attack. Don’t ask me how or why, just know that the big one has hit.”

First, New Yorkers should “get inside fast”: “You, your friends, your family, get inside.”

The PSA host says that staying in a car is “not an option” and that, once people are inside, they should get as far from the windows as possible.

The second step is to “stay inside” and shut all doors and windows.

If the building has a basement, people are urged to stay there, but if not they should get as far as possible into the middle of the building.

Anyone who was outside during the nuclear blast should remove their clothes and shower immediately to get rid of the radioactive dust, the host says.

The third step – stay tuned – means New Yorkers should follow the media and city alerts for information.

“Don’t go outside until officials say it’s safe,” the host warns.

The timing of the eerie warning isn’t clear, with no indication that it has come in response to a specific threat or concern.

New York City Emergency Management Commissioner Zach Iscol simply saying that New Yorker should be prepared “as the threat landscape continues to evolve”.

“As the threat landscape continues to evolve, it is important that New Yorkers know we are preparing for any imminent threats and are providing them with the resources they need to stay safe and informed,” he said in a statement announcing the PSA.

The city announcement says that “while the likelihood of a nuclear weapon incident occurring in/near New York City is very low, it is important New Yorkers know the steps to stay safe”.

Crime / Re: EFCC Operatives Invade Ikorodu Hotel, "Torture" Guests And Staff by panpan(m): 5:51pm On Jul 11, 2022
With these kinds of raids into homes and hotel rooms without a warrant; most especially in the south, and north central parts of the country, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has ceased to be of any use to the general Nigerian population.

EFCC should be scrapped. It has become a harassment tool.
If there are any laws enabling EFCC, such laws should be repealed.

Previously, there was an advert called "Coke is it."
For several years, Coke was really it. Pepsi was good, but it was not usually the first choice.
However, in the mid 2010s, the taste of Coca-cola changed, at least in Nigeria.

At present, Coke contains non-sugar sweeteners, and drinking it leads to an unpleasant aftertaste.
For now, Pepsi tastes much better.

Abbeytoy:

The reason for Nin linking to sim is for security, now you link to sìm and use for fraud, latter unlink and link to another sìm for another fraud.. Abah

If you don't have anything hidden, you don't need to look for how to unlink sìm.

A person who wants to unlink his NIN from a sim should not be treated as a suspect.
Before the NIN link issue came up, sims were expected to be registered with a government-issued identification document.

One of the flaws of this NIN link rule is that the maximum number of sims that can be linked is seven.
Sims are not only used for phones; they are also used for internet browsing modems.

The need to unlink a sim, or for there not to be a maximum number of sims that can be linked, does not appear to be necessary now because the NIN link rule is relatively new.
After a few years, by the time several persons go through different internet service providers looking for the "best affordable" service, the need to unlink a previously used sim may arise.
Phones / Re: Has Anybody Been Able To Unlink Their NIN From Their SIM? by panpan(m): 11:46pm On Jun 09, 2022
Jamesbiodun:
You can't unlink your sim

Jacku:
I'm not sure if that's even possible sef

If these statements are true, it is a serious matter and it should be addressed.

For example, a person may have linked two phone sims to his NIN.
Over a period of a few years, he may have linked his NIN to internet browsing sims of five different networks, though not necessarily using all networks at the same time.

He recently comes across a new internet browsing offer, but he cannot subscribe because he has attained the maximum number of linked sims (seven), and he cannot unlink any of the previous sims.

This is just an example of a possible scenario, but as stated previously, a person should be able to unlink a sim without having to give reasons; and the process should not be cumbersome.

Declaring a public holiday for democracy is not necessary.

At present, there are 13 national public holidays.

For the sake of the economy, the number of public holidays should be reduced. Some days may just be observed without being made public holidays.

Has anybody been able to unlink their NIN (National Identification Number) from their SIM?
There does not appear to much information on this issue online.

We have been told that the maximum number of SIMs that can be registered to an NIN is seven.

Unlinking your NIN from a SIM should be as simple as linking your NIN. It should not be cumbersome.

It is your right. You should not have to give reasons.

You should not have to provide another person's NIN to be linked to the SIM before your NIN can be unlinked.

It is not only phone SIMs that are of concern here.
SIMs used in modems for internet browsing may also be an issue.

There has been a surge in the prices of commodities, including foodstuffs, all over the world, and several world leaders have put the blame on the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

However, the sanctions by several countries against Russia has had a far greater effect on the surge in the prices of commodities, than the Ukraine-Russia conflict itself.

Lol this is all planned by the government. They are so desperate to collect all the guns from the citizens that they have to orchestrate all these shootings around America.

You're right.
The shootings are orchestrated.

The purpose of the shootings is to put pressure on the legislature to remove the second amendment, and force the general public to submit their firearms.
When the firearms are withdrawn, it would be easier to impose martial law, or allow the United States to be attacked.

Health / Monkeypox: Expert Urges FG To Shut Down Biolabs In Nigeria by panpan(m): 10:55am On May 30, 2022
A scientist and academician of the International Space Agency, Prof. Philip Njemanze, has called on the Federal Government to shut down all the bio laboratories established by Bill Gates across the country pending the full investigations over the alleged leak of monkeypox pathogen bio-materials from the labs.

Chief of Russian Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Force, Igor Kirillov, had on Friday, called on the leadership of the World Health Organization (WHO) to commence investigation into the release of West African modified Monkeypox, which caused the present outbreak that threatens a worldwide pandemic.

TASS quoted Kirillov as saying, “against the background of numerous cases of US violations of bio-safety requirements and facts of negligent storage of pathogenic bio-materials, we call on the leadership of the World Health Organization to investigate the activities of US-funded Nigerian laboratories in Abuja, Zaria, Lagos and inform the world community about its results.”

WHO reported that the West African strain of the monkeypox pathogen came from Nigeria, another state in which the US has deployed its biological infrastructure.

“According to available information, there are at least four Washington-controlled bio laboratories operating in Nigeria,” the official said.

Reacting to the report, Njemanze, in a release made available to reporters titled “Nigeria Under Bio-terrorist Attack”, said the war against Nigeria has moved into the phase of Bio-terrorism.

According to him, “The enemies have deployed viral agents, particularly Monkey Pox to unleash a virological warfare”, adding that “Nigeria is the first nation on earth to be simultaneously under asymmetric warfare of terrorism and now under bio-terrorism.”

He feared that Nigeria “is at war with a vicious enemy trying to destroy the entire nation and kill all the people – Christians and Muslims alike.”

Njemanze regretted that the sponsored foreign criminals disguising as Muslims to initiate riots and killings so as to paint it as religious extremism, had in actual fact nothing in common with Islam.

The statement partly read “Nigerian military has fought gallantly to forestall the fall of Nigeria on the battlefield. The enemy has disguised as Boko Haram, herdsmen and bandits. The analysis of the facts of the attacks revealed the contrary.

“From 2015-2018, 37,500 people were killed in the so-called Islamic extremist attacks of which 32000 or 85% were Muslims and 5,500 or 15% were Christians. All were farmers who grow natural seeds in their communities.

“It is clear that the enemies are the biotechnology companies and their billionaire sponsors seeking to replace the natural seeds with Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) seeds deceptively called ‘Improved seeds’ that do not replicate.

“This would mean that every planting season Monsanto the main biotech supplier of the GMO seeds would have to supply the entire 200 million people in Nigeria with the seeds to grow food at a cost not less than $30 billion USD.

“The entire food security of Nigeria has been hijacked by the biotech companies and their billionaire sponsors. It is interesting that Bill Gates, a major shareholder in Monsanto, established in 2013 biotechnology laboratories in Nigeria.

“The Federal Government of Nigeria should ensure that while the WHO probe is ongoing, all the bio-labs established by Bill Gates in Nigeria must be shut down pending the full investigations”.
