Politics / Re: World Bank Blacklists 18 Nigerian Firms, Individuals For Corruption by panpan(m): 8:31pm On Oct 25, 2021 |
What power does the World Bank have that it is debarring individuals and firms? The World Bank is only an advisory and lending institution. Perhaps the individuals and firms have been banned from borrowing from the World Bank. |

Politics / Re: President Buhari To Unveil eNaira On Monday 25 October 2021 (Photo) by panpan(m): 11:09pm On Oct 23, 2021 |
It appears that this eNaira digital currency plan is not about improving the economy, but about the federal government having total control over everybody's finances. This is a ploy to phase out cash in Naira. The federal government, through the Central Bank of Nigeria, could decide to block any person's eNaira wallet for any reason or even for no reason. The victim would not be able to back up his finances with cash. This is a very dangerous situation. 3 Likes |

Psychiatric tests for security persons cannot work due to the quota system of recruitment. In practice, psychiatric tests would be enforced for persons from certain states, but waived for other states in order to satisfy federal character. |

If the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited Peter Obi to its office, he may honour the invitation. However, Peter Obi has the right to remain silent, and he has the right to go the EFCC office with a lawyer. |
Politics / Re: Eid Ul Mawlid: FG Declares Tuesday, October 19 Public Holiday by panpan(m): 6:53pm On Oct 15, 2021 |
It seems as if it is only Nigeria that declares a public holiday for this. For the sake of the economy, the number of public holidays should be reduced. Some days may just be observed without being made public holidays. |
Health / Re: COVID-19: Vaccination Not Compulsory For Civil Servants - FG by panpan(m): 5:01pm On Oct 15, 2021 |
Asking federal civil servants to choose between presenting a negative PCR test and getting the covid jab is simply asking them to choose between bad and worse respectively. The PCR test is expensive. Imagine paying N50,400 for a test eight or nine times a month. The PCR test is invasive and uncomfortable. How can a virus be so contagious, yet to make a diagnosis a swab stick has to be inserted deep into the nostrils? The PCR test result is not reliable. There have been a lot of false positives. It is called a "vaccine", but it is not a vaccine. It is a messenger RNA (mRNA) injection. Pressure has been mounted on governments all over the world, to make the covid "vaccine" mandatory. This has nothing to do with your health. It's about control. It may be hard for federal civil servants, but refusing to take the covid jab would be a much better decision in the long term. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Muhammad Nami: Nigeria Not Generating Enough Revenue From Stamp Duty by panpan(m): 6:28am On Oct 15, 2021 |
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) is only concerned about itself. The FIRS wants to collect more revenue from stamp duty and other taxes so that it can boost its commission of 4%. The FIRS is not really concerned about revenue for the federal government. |

Politics / Re: Tax Appeal Tribunal Could Kill Your Business In 6 Months by panpan(m): 9:40pm On Oct 14, 2021 |
Islie: This rule should be challenged in court. It assumes the aggrieved person is guilty until proven otherwise. The rule prevents fair hearing, because an amount, which in theory could even be greater than the value of the company, has to be deposited as security by the aggrieved person; but the tax authority is free from any financial obligation. 1 Like 1 Share |

This decision by the federal government is not ordinary. There is great pressure on governments all over the world to make the covid jab mandatory. Edo State was just a test case. It may be hard for federal civil servants, but refusing to take the covid jab would be a much better decision in the long term. 4 Likes |

Among the homes shown, the one that appeals to me is Villa Les Cèdres. From the outside, it looks like a home, not just a large exotic building. However, is this home really worth £335 million? Perhaps, the history of the home, and the large surrounding land area, have been factored into the price. |

For identification, the snake catcher may open the snake's mouth (carefully). If there are fangs, the snake is venomous. If there are several teeth, but no fangs, the snake is non-venomous. Oyinlomobambam: The fangs of a venomous snake can be removed, similar to the way a dentist extracts a person's teeth. However, the effect of removing the fangs is temporary, because new fangs will eventually grow. 4 Likes |

The narrator did not state that it is Northern Cyprus that he was referring to until the last line. Northern Cyprus, which is only recognized by Turkey, is quite different from the Republic of Cyprus, which is recognized globally. If any travel agent offers an opportunity to stay in "Cyprus", it is advisable to find out which "Cyprus" the agent is referring to. 44 Likes 3 Shares |
Politics / Re: Bill To Create 111 Additional Electoral Seats For Women Scales Second Reading by panpan(m): 8:35am On Sep 21, 2021 |
Creating additional seats for women is wrong. It is discriminatory on the basis of gender. Women are still able to contest for any of the other seats. In addition, creating additional seats would only increase the cost of governance. Will the federal government borrow money to sustain the extra cost? The bill should be thrown out. 2 Likes 1 Share |
Science/Technology / Re: Experts Back FG, Say 5G Poses No Health Risk by panpan(m): 6:56pm On Sep 19, 2021 |
The health threat from 5G is real. 5G is not a single frequency, but a range of frequencies. The health threat depends on who is tuning or activating the frequency. 5G, when fully activated and tuned to frequencies of 60 GHz and above (which can easily be done), could have side effects on living things (plants and animals, including humans). Does 5G cause Covid-19? No Can 5G, when tuned to certain frequencies and not properly handled, result in side effects which may include blood disorders and/or breathing problems? Probably When side effects of 5G occur in humans, these effects are often blamed on Covid-19. |

Health / Re: COVID-19: FG To Vaccinate Nigerians In Church On Sundays by panpan(m): 4:14am On Sep 15, 2021 |
It is called vaccination, but they are not vaccines. Beware of these messenger RNA (mRNA) jabs. Just refuse to take the "vaccine", regardless of anybody else's decision. If you feel that you cannot resist peer pressure, then avoid or leave the vaccination venue, at least for that day. You may go somewhere else, or make yourself scarce. |
