But religion has been a factor to the numerous wars fought by man over the millenia, oppression, diseases, poverty and unhappiness. Just compare the quality of life today of the least religious countries, like europe and north america and the highly religious places like africa, south america or asia. Religion, i also believe hampers human development due to the restrictions imposed on certain actions and thoughts. I personally think the world would be a better place without religin.
