hello guys, i wish everyone on this forum the reception of their good news.
I would like to ask those who did their interview recently in lagos, possibly this week; "how much did you have in your blocked account?". I have 8800 blocked, and would appreciate it if anyone who had the old amount blocked could narrate their recent experience in lagos, as regard the blocked account. thank you

i think the Igbos dont need to answer any tout on the platform.......you just go out and vote en-masse for JIMMY and prove the Oba wrong.........and if their is any violence against the Igbos that day, the igbos should ensure that their leader charges the oba to court or get him arrested or even get him jailed......period!

xij38580: Please pardon my lengthy post

I graduated 2011 basically studying something I had a zero interest in. Since graduating, I've worked in the IT field. I currently work as a developer. I want to go back to school and learn some basics, some advanced concepts and as well get a degree not just for now but for the future too. Some people say in IT it doesn't matter what you study but I've seen a case firsthand of what stopped someone from assuming a director position was his lack of formal education in an IT related field.

I've tried applying for Master's programs but the requirement is usually an issue, in terms of undergraduate degree requirement. I was in the social sciences. So I've settled that I'd spend 3 years to bag an Undergraduate degree. I plan to resume next year September or January. This sounds crazy and unfortunately, its a crazy that has estranged me to some people.

I've seen some schools in Germany that I would like to apply to. However, I do have some questions that I would appreciate your inputs on. Thanks.

1)For a 3 year program do I have to show proof that I have the funds for my upkeep for the entire 3 years i.e. 650*36 = €23400 ?

2)I earn a modest salary and currently save most of my salary in my Mutual fund account. I do some freelancing and this also helps a lot. As it stands my current savings by March 2015 should be sufficient to show proof of funds for 1 year plus. I currently don't plan on using a sponsor, but if need be can I use a maternal cousin as my sponsor ? He shares and understands my aspirations and he's willing to help fund some part. We however bear different surnames , and he also lives in Europe. Is this a potential red flag ?

3) I would also like to gain a permanent residency status without cutting corners. The requirement is 5 years continuous stay in Germany legally. Is it possible for me to remain in Germany after my program to work ? I believe that opportunity abounds and with God and preparations I should be able to land a job or create a start up. Is this possible ?

Thanks for your patience.
you only need to show proof of 8040 Euros to get ur visa..............getting the rest to renew ur visa for the remaining two years is a question u"ll answer wen u get there; plan, but dont u worry.....
as per ur course..search well...u mgt find wat others have not seen befoore. what if u'r the first in such case, or u are an exception? havent u thought about that? so contact as many schools aas possible and apply to as many schools as u can (both universitat and university of apply sciences) ......i am sure at least one will give u admission....
now, do me this favour; start talking with as many course coordinators in germany as possible (both with emails and phone calls), let dem knw u abt ur i.T experience, ur cerfications, any other i.T related stuff and your bsc ; then bombard them in germany with ur application....set a target of at least ten schools..make Nipost ur friend (for cheap postings) and acquaint urself with high courts, german embassy or notary public (for cheap certifications)
so get urslf braced and gv urself that ride towards destiny......God watches over u.

Du bist gesegnet.

12.)What do you know about the town where you would be studying?

ANSWER====
Kleve , is a town in the Lower Rhine region of northwestern Germany near the Dutch border and the
River Rhine, Kleve is the capital of the district of Kleve in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Kleve's location is one of its selling points - situated in the countryside,
but still close to the large cities of Dusseldorf and Dortmund
Its very easy for students to take bus or their bikes to the Rhine River or
Nijmegen(Nijmegen, situated directly across the border), the closest city in Holland.

The native language of Cleves and its surrounding area is a Dutch dialect
(Dutch: Kleverlands, German: Kleverländisch), but the official language
is German which is dominant among the younger generation. Because of its
geographical location directly at the Dutch-German border, there is a strong
overlap in culture and language. Tourism is important IN KLEVE, and machinery,
steel products, motor vehicles, and computer-memory-storage devices are manufactured.

13.) how IS your previous course related to the one you are going for? /WHY DID YOU WANT TO STUDY THIS COURSE?

DURING MY PREVIOUS STUDY IN THE POLYTECHNIC, I WAS FASCINATED WITH
ELECTRONICS AND DEVICES AS WELL AS THE WAY THEY WORKS( studied elect/elect), BUT AFTER THE COMPLETION OF MY PROGRAM
I REALIZE THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THIS DEVICES DEPENDS MOSTLY ON OTHER FIELD OF ENGINEERING,LIKE- IT for programming ,
CONTROL ENGINEERING FOR AUTOMATIONS& CONTROL of the devices, mechanical field for fabrications,
studying this course will give me alot of edges in this field as its a course that integrate
all this field of engineering for design and manufacturing of smart devices and systems instead ofthe sequential approach to solutions in the productions.

14.)what do you know about your course?
ANSWER======

The word "Mechatronics" was originally "Japanese-English" word created by Mr. Tetsuro Mori, who was an engineer of Yaskawa Electric Corporation in the year 1971.

Mechatronics engineering is the synergistic combination of Mechanical engineering,
Electronic engineering, Computer engineering, computer science, Control engineering,
and Systems Design engineering in order to design and manufacture useful products and other applications.

The term Mechatronics stems from mechanical and electronics and it's a relatively new approach
to machine and systems product design and development, merging the solving principles of the four
interconnected disciplines used for all complex modern devices.

This is an emerging field of engineering that integrates multi disciplinary field of engineering and
information technology.

In the past, machine and product design has been the domain of mechanical engineers. After the machine has been designed
by mechanical engineers, solutions to control and programming problems were added by software and computer engineers. This sequential-engineering approach
usually resulted in less-than-optimal designs.

The prime role of mechatronics is one of initiation and integration throughout the whole of the design process, with the mechatronics engineer as the leader.
Experts in this interdisciplinary mechatronics field must acquire general knowledge of various techniques and be able to master the entire design process.
Industry needs mechatronics engineers to continue to rapidly develop innovative products with best performance, quality and low................................

Slyee: Good afternoon. I received a mail on Friday and I was asked to be at the German embassy in Lagos with a travel health insurance. I applied for a student visa about 17days ago and I was interviewed by a consular officer.

My questions are:

1. Does it mean I've been granted a Visa to travel for my studies?

2. My sponsor in Germany wants to get the travel health insurance for me in Germany and then send the insurance papers to me via email. Will they accept the one obtained from Germany or the one done here in Nigeria?

Pls. I need your help!!!
congratulation sly..behold, let thy heart rejoice this day for thy visa hast been approved. hasten thee now to IGI or AIICO, as it pleases thee, and get thy merry bossom an insurance package. Tarry ye not brother, for the old woman and her kinsfolk waitet for thee...to bless thy passport with the visa which thy soul hitherto longeth for. Indeed, thou art gesegnet

Since thou hast 1.5m in thy account, let patience be thy forte now, for thou shalt need N2m when thou goest for German admission which thou hast been found unworthy as I speak unto thee. Prove thyself worthy by getting thyself an admission into a University in Nigeria, (NOUN is good) for thou canst get it more speedily. Tarry thee a year that thou mightest obtain a year transcript, then proceed to seek a German admission OR
2. Enroll thyself into Geothe institute, to learn German B1 level in one year and seek thee an admission into a student college or Abitur in Germany then proceed into a university there.
3. check Mexico, Malaysia (cheap but thou canst not work legally with thy student visa, Ukraine (cheap but poor), check Norway and Finland (no tuition but needest thou N1.8-2m in a blocked account)
4. Portugal doth offer good courses at good tuition but hath high financial requirement for visa and it hath a poor economy as I write upon this thread.
