Life has not really been cool. The good pre-covid 19 times and the credit alerts on 26th of each month regularly calls to mind.

Considering I had plans, just like many others who were also affected, the experience has been depressing. Staying at home for months without work, with bills to pay and all is a nightmare.

Most times I literally found me talking to myself and everyone I know and meet about the situation. While i have been applying for jobs here and there, I have also taken the time to learn one or two skills.

I pray we all get back to work soon enough. The experience isn't something I wish on a friend.

May God rest his soul.... Death is truly a leveller.

I also had a similar experience when I made it to the interview stage in 2012. I was compelled to name the range of salary I would like to be earn. Having rebuffed all efforts I made to dodge the question posed, I told them 65k to 85k. The HR guys then asked me if they can call me if their offer is below 45k; I turned it down with the hope I was doing moiself a world of good. Till this moment they never looked back. As academicians, I expect them to have done better wt d way they downed their tools over FG's reneging on an agreement known only to them, they shdn't have done this in such a way dt Naija Students would be affected. Their action is sheer thuggery IMO.
