BrighterSyde: Let’s remove sentiments. Has there not been astronomical rise in price of goods and food in the last 6 months? Did you not see it? Did it not affect you? Or as an agbadorian where you paying less than what others were paying?
So why asking about rise as if it wasn’t true when it was announced? Now this so-called reduction we are yet to see it and you question someone who says it might not be true. it was rising before and now it's falling |

Hypocrisy at its finest😏 If PDP didn't let the price of a carton of indomie rise from #250 to #2400, maybe the people won't have giving the APC a chance. Tinubu still have till 2027 to make prices fall. |

YouAreNobody: Good. Now compare the price when APC stole power to now.
I remember buying a carton of super pack indomie at #2200 before I left that country. Compare it to now. APC is a cancer unto nigeria. Everything fell apart under their watch. I remember buying a pack of indomie for #250 under the military before I left, returning to Nigeria and buying it for #2400 under the PDP was unacceptable in my own opinion. |

Politics › Tinubu Seeks End To Farmers-herders Clashes by Paraman(op): 9:09pm On Mar 11, 2024 |
President Bola Tinubu has given two weeks to find a solution to the clash between farmers and herders in the country. The farmers and herders clash has cost the lives of farmers and large parcels of farm produce in several states as the cattle and their herders invade the farmlands to consume crops worth millions of naira. Tinubu made this known on Monday in Minna during inauguration of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport and mechanised farm implements purchased by the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago. The president, who expressed dismay that the country has not been able to end the farmers-herders clash, said, “Let us reorganise; I know what it means as economic sabotage for roaming cows to eat up the crops and vegetation of our farmers. I know what it means; I know it could be painful. “When we reorient the herders and make provision for cattle rearing, the problem will be solved. You are the governor who must provide us the land, I, as the president, I am committed to giving you in two to three weeks time a comprehensive programme that will solve this problem.” Tinubu, who said that he came to Minna to kick start the Niger State agro-processing development growth, appealed to state governors to pay state workers their wage awards. In his remarks, Bago reiterated his commitment to pursuing his agricultural and infrastructure development agenda to a logical conclusion. He noted that the state’s infrastructure, especially the Minna Airport, was in a state of collapse before the inception of his government. “We gather to celebrate a good example demonstrated in our modest contribution to infrastructure and agricultural development as encapsulated in our New Niger Agenda. “For us, agriculture is key to our commitment to addressing the challenges in critical sectors of our economy, and we shall seize every opportunity for the attainment of growth and engender prosperity for the people of our beloved state and, by extension, our dear country, Nigeria. “As a government, we couldn’t fold our arms and allow the ugly picture it creates in the minds of visitors to subsist. Hence, in recognition of the importance of this critical infrastructure, the State Government took responsibility for its completion. “Today, I am proud to announce that the Minna International Airport is completed and renamed as Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport which you just graciously commissioned,” he said. https://punchng.com/tinubu-seeks-end-to-farmers-herders-clashes/?utm_source=telegram&utm_medium=social |

Politics › Re: Peter Obi Alleges Presidency Is Implementing An Illegal Budget by Paraman: 6:21pm On Mar 11, 2024 |
emkz: Former Governor of Anambra State and former presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election, Mr Peter Obi, took to his verified Twitter handle to accuse the presidency of allegedly implementing a budget different from what the national assembly passed.
Mr Peter Obi's comments were based on an earlier allegation by Senator Abdul Ningi, who had claimed that President Tinubu was running a budget different from what the national assembly passed. Senator Ningi, alleged that President Tinubu had presented a 25 trillion naira budget which was passed by the national assembly.
The Presidency through the Special Adviser Information and Strategy to President Tinubu, Mr Bayo Onanuga, had refuted the claims by Senator Ningi, explaining that President Tinubu never presented a 25 trillion budget to the national assembly. Rather President Tinubu had presented a 27.5 trillion naira budget to the national assembly, which the national assembly increased to 28.7 trillion naira which was eventually signed into law on 1st January 2024.
