I was in NAIDCOM two days ago, they said they are not recruiting or accepting CVs at the moment because they don't have budget yet.

NIDCOM employed its first set of staff two months ago and they have resumed. They are more than 20......infact those recruited recently were over 40. However, a new recruitment of over 100 will soon commence (hopefully next month or so). Their salary is also not so attractive. It's just slightly better than core ministry.


As for CBN, employment letters were disbursed up till last week and will continue for now.

Well, you are right.... I just wish the kind of attitude many of us had towards this recruitment before interview could be restored. Did CBT test and never even remember NNPC again until that morning when interview invite came in.
Did interview and then local man joined Nairaland, since then ehn, local man peace of mind been fluctuating. Abeg, d same way u have advised to be calm, do advise whether or not local man should leave this thread in peace.......

Practical Nigerian Content (oil and gas) is Next Week (Dec 2-5). After then, the industry will partially shut down for the year.
APL is more of 2020 than 2019.

That one is a normal thing!! But the oil industry is too sensitive to have all recruits be 100% from the backdoor. Their hands are tied really. Some will get this job on merit.

Someone close to me almost got in the last time they made it public (family emergency wahala), without knowing anybody. So once NNPC goes public, merit will be guaranteed for some.

We hope so tbh. But these people would actually take mediocre people they know and risk everything than putting professional hands. Naija kuku isn't nobody's property. That's the mentality, Chop your own and go.
