smoothlips:You are the worst case in SHAME! If you had any trace of honor in your makeup you won't be in a haste to judge a whole univetsity project by a couple of unclear pictures captured on phone. Unfortunately, your misguided mind thinks it's smart. |
smoothlips:SHAME ON YOU. It's obvious that you don't know anything. Be honest to yourself, would you have critisized this project if it was buhari's? Did you critisize his recent donation to the 1985 under 17 team at a time he had not figured out how to fund his budget? Who told you that the buildings you see here are lecture halls or halls of residence. And even if they are, who showed you the technichal drawings and design details. Do you know the proposed intake capacity of the university? Of course no. You are conviniently using silly arguments to divert our attention from the horrible lie told by the minister. What you don't realize is that condeming what you don't understand, without facts, simply shows your stupidity and makes you a much bigger FOOOOOOL! |
smoothlips:How can you boldly assert that "they no even consider student traffic, easy maintenance and proper ventilation" when you have not visited the site or seen the entire blueprint of the campus. What you see here is just probably a photograph of some parts of the building captured with a phone. Yet you are condeming the project so boldly just because it is not a buhari's initiative. |
TS2:And in your non-mediocre reasoning you percieve that those schools you mentioned got to the stage they are now within one to two years after their constructions were commissioned, right? Instead of you mr excellence to condem outright lie told by the minister, you are here covering it up with crap. Tomorrow now you will be among those that blame Nigeria for backwardness, yet here you are unable to condemn a lying government due to your partisan spirit. Need I say more? |
Demdem:Keep slumbering in your ideological ivory tower, sooner than later realities will jolt you back to life. |
Hearme:You are talking out context my friend. The context of this thread is that Amaechi lied to the fedration with impunity. Or are you saying that you cannot see anything wrong in a so called "honorable minister" lying to the whole country on very basic and verifiable matters? |
Demdem:Your definition of schools is tall buildings right? Do you even realize that construction of a university campus is done in phases? Do you know if the photographer merely captured the hostel areas, staff quaters, cafetaria, library or a plethora of other possibilities? And who says that a maritime university must look like OAU or loads of other misguided refrences? Do you even know the curriculum on which the proposed university will run? The government is building a functional university infastructure not a vain edifice. |
realborn:You sound so silly. Is your judgement and anger based on the photos you are seeing here, or have you seen the actual blue print of the whole campus or gone to the site itself? What do you know about architecture and modern university construction? You sit there to mouth crap and speak out of context as if you had a better idea. Shame on a government that would go on air to lie to the populace without any sense of restraint or conscience. |
Gazaliah:I don't know if this will help, but you just read this and let the house know what you think: www.answering-islam.org/Authors/Arlandson/ten_reasons.htm |
persius555:I think you are getting it all wrong. What you don't realize is that inflicting terror on others is Islam's primary means of propagation. It did not start today. It's their fundamental law. Forget what the new generation liberal moslems are telling you about Islam being a religion of peace. Do you ever wonder why all the terror groups world over are from islamic extraction? Simple. There are fundamental sections of their holy writ that makes violence against outsiders legitimate. Anyone that dissociates violence and terror from islam is either lying or totally ignorant of basic historic and contemporary events around us. |

Thanks for getting in touch. Though you missed the email address. It's up there on the first post. |
ebene4nija:Oga, when did you shift from edollar in general to Payoneer in particular? For your info, a Paypal staff told me personally (both on phone and email) that Payoneer is now unacceptable to Paypal. Why? She said Paypal works wilth real bank accounts which Payoneer is NOT. So please behave. Besides, a Nigerian IN NIGERIA who earns dollars via Payoneer does NOT need Paypal for transfers. But the title of your post goes like "Paypal required". Are you new to this business, or are you just fronting for someone else? Anyone who verifies a foriegn Paypal account with Payoneer is sure to have the account frozen sooner or later, untill he or she provides a valid government issued photo ID showing the same address used to open the Paypal account. Let's do not even talk about utility bills and statement of account. All else aside, there are others who earn dollars directly to their local bank accounts. Now telling me that such earnings are less valuable than physical green back is nothing less than phony. |
ferhyntorlah:Thank you my Sister. It's time for all Nigerian freelancers and GLOBAL ebusiness professionals in naija to realize that they actually hold the biggest advantage and opportunity in this new economy. Not some shady FX opportunists. |
coolsix:Bros you're so on point. Spot on. I think the op just wants to hurde dollars against 2016 so he can literally make bank when importers get cut off from FX. Unfortunately he wants to do it in a very funny way that seeks to milk and take undue advantage of the innocent and hard working young Nigerians who invest their sleep, sweat and at times tears to EARN the so called edollars. Bad enough he's got the guts to rationalize about it. |
ebene4nija:Man, are you joking or are you seriously being greedy and lying about it? Your comment is just like saying that N1000 in the bank is LESS valuable than N1000 note. What a funny fallacy. If edollar is inferior why don't you go and EARN it instead of buying it? I think I need to launch a campaign to discourage all freelancers on this forum from prostituting their hard earned dollars to greedy folks who have zero clue about what it takes to earn 1 cent online and yet have the guts to say "%$#23&' Anyway, I have $$$ for sale now @ N250/1$. (May change anytime) can transfer via Dorm Acct., USD Master Card, or Paypal. You choose. |

BlackHuman:Yes, of course, though not that much. But he's gotta get paid bigger to lie better!!! Or is it lai? ![]() |
cheehummer:RUN! This is fraud alert or a red flag if you like. Upwork has a fully functional in-house escrow and mediation sytem. They DO NOT refer freelancers to any third party. In fact, offering to pay a freelancer outside of Upwork is a violation of Upwork's terms of service. And that's a solid proof that this potential client is trying to scam you into working for nothing. I advice you to report the case to upwork immediately through their Support section |
jshow:Man this is HIGHLY irresponsible of you. Unfortunately you think it's a joke. |
Osamudia, you were very helpful! You're a very easy going guy and the transaction was VERY fast and hitch-free. Doing business with you was a great pleasure. I will definitely use your service much more. Please keep it up. |
oz4real83:CLASSIC! This is a super fine example of how fascists think. No wonder he showed up at PMB's innaugration. Or did he? ![]() |
damzy88:Yea, that's normal. You'd have the chance to send multiple attachments if and when the potential client contacts you or in other words upgrades the communication to active candidacy or actual offer. |
fxbot:Could not see anything in your emal besides the NL notification that you'd like to contact me. Had replied with an hi though to keep the conversation going. How about resending the message? |
fxbot:You can use your discreation. I've done both and still got the job each time. Personally, when the budget is on the lower side I absolutely always add the 10% fee on top of the client's budget. But if the budget is reasonably high, I may choose to have the fee deducted from the qouted budget. On the other side, it totally depends on your level of confidence and maybe the level of competition for the said project. Personaly I hardly qoute anything less than the client's expressed budget. I always put the same figure there or add 10% to it to cover Upwork fees. |
softwhispers:I really like your fluency in punctuation. ![]() Well, Upwork and Elance are one. I've not used freelancer before, but fron what I hear, upwork is the place to be. No, they won't give you unearned success because your a newbie, but they'd sure give your a tresparent and level ground to prove that you're a professional. They also have a highly thriving and extremely helpful peer to peer comnunity. |
fxbot:It's just as the caption says. The first field is where you put the amount you want to charge the client for the project. Once you do that the Upwork robot would do an invicible calculation, deduct the company's 10% fee fron the figure you entered, and display the balance in the second field. That balance is your net pay (the amount you'd get after the project). I usually add 10% to my official rate so that after the deductions I'd still get the exact figure I wanted. For example, if I wanted to charge my client $100 for a job I'd qoute $111 so that after the deduction of Upwork fees I'd still have up to $100 to myself. Hope that's clear enough? |
softwhispers:@Softwhispers I seriously beg to differ. For starters, it takes much more intelligence to get a contract at a high rate from one end of the world and recruit a CHEAP but seriously dependable freelancer from another end of the world to execute the job flawlessly and deliver it on time. If you think it's easy why haven't you tried it yet? One thing you seem to forget though is the high probablity that the client in question must have once been in your shoes and excelled before upgrading to the realm of agency. Thereafter, l just disappeared from the site: she DM me tire sef. This is a terrible mistake on your part. Why? Because the behavior is highly unprofessional. You don't close your shop and stop showing up at work or office simply because you had a bad client to deal with, do you? You abscunded from duty simply because you did not see the stuff as your BUSINESS. It was not because of the ridiculous pay at all. And I think the newbies should please take note of this. If you try this staunt at Upwork you'd kill your reputation instantly and that's another way of saying that you'd go out of business. Again, running away as you did simply shows that you didn't have adequate conflict resolution skills. How do I know that? I know because you had two options which you failed to explore. 1. You could have boldly asked for an increase in pay, and show solid reasons why you're worth it. 2. If the request for increase is declined, you had the right to cancle the project officially after due negotitions and mutual considerations. You did not explore the above options probably because you did not take your freelance career as a business. The point is that there is a lot of money to be made online. But as Stagger pointed out, you must find a way to beat the competition and climb high up on the food chain.Of course, but one of the greatest skills you can possibly develop is custumer acquisition, satisfaction and retention skill. Nothing would ever beat that in business. Many Nigerians would outsource work online and pay mega bucks merely because na 'oyinbo' dey do the work!Wrong again. Those Nigerians who are savvy enough to outsource their works abroad don't do it because they're oyibo freaks, nope, they do it because they want professionalism, not some folks who would disappear into the thing air when the going gets tough. Sorry for the cheekyness of my choice of word, it's not about you at all, it's about the community; especially for the benefits of those who are new to the business of freelancing. ![]() |
An0nimus:Wrong move. Upwork requires that you use your legal name which must match the one in your payment details. You may contact their support department for more details though. To be clear, no one would stop you from using a pen name there, just that if you go that way you may be required to verify your identitiy when you want to withdraw your money. |
ribbit:In that percieved weakness lies the most potent force the universe would ever know. The one you call weak is the one that's sustaining your very life just by his incredible mercy up till this very moment, unfortunately he can as well snuff it off like a candle in the wind. Don't just push His patience so much dear. |
ribbit:Your problem is not that you don't have proofs; your problem is the fact that you're doubting proofs. Everything around you and in you is enough proof that God do exist. But you know what? You don't need the opinion or affirmation of your creation to validate your existence. So God doesn't need your opinion or affirmation (not even mine) to validate His existence. So, go ahead, please yourself with whatever you believe and let's see how it helps you die a happy man. |
