90. In conclusion of the victory of the resurrection of Jesus over all the powers of death and hell let's look at some of these scriptures.
2Corinthians 3:7-12 (KJV) "But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:"

The old testament is called the ministry or ministration of death but the new testament because of the resurrection of Jesus is called the ministry of life because Jesus has conquered and abolished death. Whatever glory there was in the old testament is nothing compared with the ministry of life. Hence the bibles says Ephesians 1:3 (KJV) "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" and 1Corinthians 2:9-10 (KJV) "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."

2Corinthians 4:14-18 (KJV) "Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

The bottom line of all what we are saying is that God wants you to begin to see yourself in the eyes and light of all that the resurrection of Jesus has done for you and has made you. And no more in your fleshly natural sin nature so that you can begin to enjoy the fullness of the blessings of the mystery of the resurrection power which includes eternal life and freedom from sin, sickness, diseases, poverty, demonic oppression, fear, doubts, anxieties and death.

89. When man sinned he immediately began the works of the flesh by covering himself with leaves and hiding from God. All the works of the flesh takes you further and further away from God. Thus man picked up the character and nature of the devil and began to manifest the life of the devil beginning with murder and death of Abel. Of all the creation of God man was the most precious and the most loved. It was such a big pain and loss to God. For man to be saved only someone in the likeness of the first Adam before his fall must be used to pay the price and wages of sin which is death. That is why Jesus is called the last Adam. Such death will provide God the justice to redeem man and start a new creation, with new nature and new life.

As death came through the rejection and disobedience of God's word, eternal life comes also by the acceptance and obedience to the word of God by faith. Hence God sent His word who became flesh by choice. The first creation that led to disobedience and death was a sole choice and decision of the Godhead. But the new creature is a choice of the word to become flesh and the last Adam for the redemption of man. And the new life is by choice of obedience of faith. Now all things are yours but you have to choose which of the all you want as God will not force any of His goodness on you.

Accepting Jesus is obedience of faith only in the word of God. Just as God wanted Adam to accept and obey his word by faith but He choose the immediate gratification of the words of the devil. Today all the children of Adam are called the children of disobedience because they are after the flesh - what they can see, feel and do or the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. But all the children of Christ are called the children of obedience because their obedience is only by faith in the word of God not by what they can see, what they can feel or what they can do.

God raising the dead is a demonstration of His power and dominion over death. If the dead can be brought back to life and never to die again, and if the living does not have to die anymore, then death has lost all it's power over man and all creation. The ultimate purpose of every challenge in life is to steal, kill and destroy lives. So if the dead can be brought back to life that means no matter how bad and how hopeless your challenges, you should never give up because there is the hope and assurance of resurrection.

In fact in the last day of judgement every dead will be raised back to life for final judgement. That is when and where Jesus will exercise His final victory, power and dominion over death and all its powers such as sin, hell, physical death, Satan and all evil spirits, etc. If all the dead from the beginning of the world will be raised back to life that means no matter how long your afflictions and challenges in life there is hope of resurrection and restoration. Death does not have the final say anymore. You, the word of God and Jesus alone have the final say in all situations. Romans 5;17-19; 6:16,23; 8:28-39; Revelation 2:7; 20:1-15; 21; John 1:1-5,12-14; 3:3-8,16; 5:24-26; 8:44; 10:10; 11:25-26; Genesis 3:1-24; Ephesians 2:1-3,12; 1Corinthians 3:21-23;

88. Death is a spiritual problem not a natural problem and has only spiritual solution. Real death is what happens to the spirit not what happens to our body. The body is only a house of the spirit on earth. To be spiritually dead is to have the life and nature of the devil. When spiritual death takes place the victim changes his father from God to the devil and changes his nature from divine nature to sin nature in his spirit. The nature of Satan is death, the nature of God is life. The spiritual world is ruled by words. Whose words you listen and obey is who you become and who you serve. Whose words you speak or confess is whose you are and whom you serve. All things were created by words and are sustained or destroyed by words. You are a son and a servant of whom you obey.

Sin is obedience to the words of the devil and disobedience to the word of God. Sin is obedience by thought and actions to the words of the devil. Righteousness is obedience by faith to the word of God. Obedience of faith is obedience of the spirit or obedience from your heart or spirit. Not just obedience of your mind and body or action. If it was just obedience of the mind and the body then all religions will be accepted because they all have obedience of the mind and good works. All other religions are not based on the word of God. Every religion of this world has good and evil because the words of the devil contains and produces good and evil so that when you are obeying the devil you will not know and you will not believe it is the works of the devil you are doing.

It will appear mentally, physically and naturally good but never spiritually good because the spirit is dead. That is why all the works of the devil even the most spiritual of them like witchcraft are all called the works of the flesh. In the spirit there are no works but fruit because in the spirit it's all by faith not by works. Faith is a state of rest. Working for God or doing the works of God is teaching and preaching the word of faith and spreading the good news of the Spirit life. All the activities in the Church begins and ends with preaching the word of God and bringing all men into the spirit life of faith. Signs and wonders are not the works but a confirmation of the works. 87. All death is because of sin. Without sin there can be no death. Jesus having died with our sins and for our sins and rose from the dead, the power of sin was destroyed and death was abolished. On the cross by the atoning power of the blood of Jesus all sins were remitted, forgiven and cancelled. As a result by the blood of Jesus and in the blood of Jesus there is no sin. In Christ Jesus sin does not exist. With the remission, forgiveness and cancellation of all sins, Jesus received the authority to start a new creation and a new life of righteousness. All who believe in Jesus all their sins are remitted, forgiven and cancelled forever never to be remembered.

But those who reject Him all their sins are still in them, with them and for them. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. The wages of sin is death. In the new creation, in the new creature and in the new life in Christ Jesus sin does not exist but the righteousness of God. Where there is no sin there is no death. As a result, in Christ Jesus death has been abolished and no longer exist. Like all other blessings of God in Christ Jesus, we walk by faith and not by sight. So we appropriate our victory over sin and death by faith because physically we may still experience sin and death.

We will continue to experience sin and death physically in our lives now because only our spirit is completely saved, righteous and holy. Our soul which is our mind, our will and emotions is still being saved daily through the renewal of our minds with the word of God. Our body still has the sin nature of Adam and subject to death hence our responsibility to our body is to subdue it and put it under the control of our spirit. You cannot save the body or renew it until the day of rapture when it will be changed to a spiritual body. Sin and death will continue untill Satan is removed from the world and cast into the lake of fire together with hell and death. 86. No one had ever gone to the hell, Hades or the lower parts of the earth and come out alive. But Jesus in battle for the salvation of all men over death went there and resurrected in show of victory and authority. By resurrecting from hell, Hades and the lower parts of the earth, Jesus took over the power and authority of these spiritual prison houses releasing all who were in Hades or Abraham's bossom. On the other hand He announced to all those who were in hell and the fallen angels that their judgement and damnation was near and inevitable and that He was going to do it Himself. By this victory of Jesus, death, failure and destruction no more has power over you and cannot prevail over you.

Death, failure and destruction is no longer final in any area of your life because there is hope for that situation as a result of the resurrection power in the name of Jesus. Jesus now has the keys or authority of death and hell. They are no longer in the hand of the devil and sin. In Christ Jesus the wages of sin is no longer death but the free gift of mercy and grace unto eternal life. The soul that sinneth does not have to die as was the case in the old testament whether physical or eternal death. If the sinner comes to Jesus all his sins are forgiven as if he had never sinned. Sin, death and hell no more has power or rights over man to demand their life or judge them.

All judgements have been committed to Jesus. In His name even the worst of sinners can be saved. Hence as man and as believers we have no rights or authority to judge any man unto sin, death or hell. Rather we are here to announce to all men the free gift of eternal life to all. The resurrection of Jesus has abolished the law of sin and death and has offered to all men the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. The choice of sin, hell and death is now in the hand of man no more in the hand of the devil and sin. We are to ever in love encourage all to choose the free gift of eternal life.

By the victory of Jesus the choice of when to die is now in the hand of the believer and all men. Since we are the ones to decide when we are to die or sleep, we must realise that as the bible says they that sleep, sleep at night. There is the morning time of life, the afternoon time of life, the evening time of life and the night time of life. The night time is the end of the day or the end of life. Jesus said we must work while it is day for the night comes when no man can work. So as believers we are not permitted to go to sleep or die before night time because that will be premature or untimely death. 85. The resurrection of Jesus has abolished death and has given us immortality, everlasting and eternal life which is abundant life. When Jesus rose from the dead, death lost its power and relevance and was abolished among all creation in heaven and earth. In the beginning God created only the heavens and the earth. Death, hell and the lake of fire are outcast places where all those who do not fit into heaven or earth are cast or separated forever. After the second death, death, hell, lake of fire and all that are in them will be cast off forever with no communication, connection or relationship with heaven and earth forever. Death will no longer exist either in heaven or earth forever This is the abolishing of death. Death is abolished because with the resurrection of all dead by Christ, death is no longer the finality or end of life.

Life has conquered, subdued and abolished death forever. Physical Death is now only a transit point for believers and all unbelievers until the fullness of time when Christ will come to judge all at the last day. The fullness of times also means when Christ might have subdued all His enemies under His feet. The Christians Physical death is only a sleeping time after he might have subdued all the enemies assigned to him in his life time or has done his own part of subduing all the enemies of Christ. All the ministries and assignments in the body of Christ is for one purpose of bringing all the enemies of God under the feet of Jesus or under our feet for we are the body of Christ. The feet of Christ is in his body.

Resurrection simply means there is life after death. With the resurrection of Jesus He became the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the ending of all things. Death and hell ceased to be the end. With the resurrection there's hope beyond death as we see at the white throne judgement. Death no longer has the final say in our lives, we have the final say in the name of Jesus. When Jesus died He went to hell, Hades and the lower parts of the earth. These places are spiritual prison houses. Hades is the place where all the old testament saints were kept waiting for the redemptive work of Jesus and the resurrection of Jesus. Hades is also called Abraham's bossom. It is called Abraham's bossom because he is the father of faith. Whether old or new testament salvation is always by faith. 84. The second death is a physical and permanent separation of all sinners from the world and from God. All sinners includes the devil, fallen angels, demons and all evil spirits. Before the death and resurrection of Jesus Satan had the power of death because he was the first to sin and become spiritually separated from God. But while the devil has the power of death, Jesus has the power of life. The power of death is sin and the victory of death is the grave. When Jesus rose from the dead he destroyed the power of sin, the power of the grave, the power of death and the power of the devil.

Today the devil has lost all his powers to Jesus. The only power He has now is whatever power men have given to him by yielding to his lies and deception. The only power the devil has over you is the one you have given him. We give power to the devil by believing his lies and living in fear, unbelief, doubts and taking actions accordingly which result in sin. Death itself does not have the power to kill any man. It is the fear of death that leads to death. It is the fear of death that cause people to succumb to death. This fear also comes through suffering unbearable pains which causes one to give up in life. The devil brings fear and insecurity to people through his lies.

This fear is what leads or drives people to commit all kinds of sins and evil. These sins are what now produces sickness, poverty, bondage and physical death. Without truth there can be no lie. Do everything you can to know the truth and to believe the truth at all cost even unto death If you must be able to identify and overcome the lies of the devil. Many fall for the lies of the devil because they don't know the truth and they don't believe the truth. Only the word of God is true and the truth. Every lie exist because there's truth. Every lie is a perversion of the truth. Lies never exist on their own.

Every lie begins with the seed of doubts about the truth. Give no room to doubting the truth at any time no matter the opportunity. Every lie presents itself as the truth and the truth as a lie. Every lie appeals to your senses, your mental intellectual reasoning, rationalism, your will power and your emotions. A lie never appeals to your conscience, your spirit or your faith. A lie is always against your conscience that is why your conscience will always condemn you when you lie. Lying and stealing always go together. You cannot lie without stealing something at the same time and you cannot steal without lying. 83. Christianity is not an experience, it is not an event or occasion that will happen someday when we get to heaven which we are only preparing for now. No, Christianity is a state of being of living the very life of God in Christ by faith now, not when you get to heaven. If it is when we get to heaven then it is no longer by faith, it is longer in Christ but by our ability to make it to heaven. Also for us who are in Christ the resurrection is not an event that has happened or that will happen. In Christ we are not only resurrected but we are the resurrection and the life to everything around us. We are to manifest who we are to everything around us. To our mind it must be renewed, to our body the bible says Romans 8:11 (KJV) "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

By the resurrection power in us we are to live above sin, above sickness, about all oppression of the devil and above death. To all other things around by the resurrection life in us whether they be people, nations, kings, politics, economy, religions, laws, institutions, businesses, etc all things are ours, all things are for our sake and all things are working together for our good and the glory of God. If God be for us who can be against us, what can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. For by the resurrection and the resurrection power in us we are more than conqueror in all situations. The resurrection is the greatest victory and the final victory over all situations in life. So having the resurrection life in you, you cannot fail, you cannot fall, you cannot die. I pray the Holy Spirit give us understanding of what He is saying to us here. For if we can grab the truth of the resurrection of Jesus and the presence of this power in us, what a difference it will make in every area of our lives.

Jesus is not just the resurrection but He is the life. There are many lives, but there is only one life which is the life of God in Christ Jesus. The life of God in the Greek is called the Zoe which is the eternal life or the everlasting life. It is also called the abundant life. Every other life are temporary and are no life. Every other life is death not life. Every one without eternal life is a living dead being. Eternal life is not an event or an experience it is a person. Christ is the eternal life. Eternal life can only be found in Christ. You cannot have it by doing anything or by achievement or accomplishments. You can only have it in Christ Jesus. 82. Jesus is not just a man, a prophet or a saviour, Jesus is the state of being of all the promises and blessings of God to all creation especially man. To all His enemies in the kingdom of darkness Jesus is the state of being of their judgement, doom and eternal damnation. At the mention of His name they tremble. As He is the resurrection and the life to us, He is the resurrection and eternal death to them. When we hear the name of Jesus we rejoice but when they hear the same name they are filled with fear and dread.

All the promises and blessings of God are not just through Christ but they are in Him. He is all the promises and blessings of God personified. That is why He says I am the resurrection and the life not I have but I am the very being of it. He is the bread of life not I have, not I will show you, I will be but I am. He is the I am that I am that God introduced Himself as to Moses in the old testament. The bread of life is not something He will give you as an event someday or as a special occasion when you get to heaven but He is the bread of life Himself. The manna in the old testament was an event that lasted only for a period hence it had no real life in it.

There were resurrections or raising of people from the dead before Jesus came and even after but they all still died because those resurrections were only events in history. But the resurrection of Jesus was not an event but the manifestation Jesus the son of God for He is the resurrection and the life. He said of Himself, I am the way, the truth and the life; I am the light of the world, etc. The bible also calls Him the righteousness of God, the wisdom of God, the power of God, the Word of God, the love of God, etc. Since we are in Him every believer is everything that Christ is. We are not going to be when we get to heaven we are already all that He is.

We are not trying to get to heaven we are already in heavenly places at the right hand of God in Christ Jesus. We are sent to preach the gospel to the world because in Him we are the way, the truth and the life to the world. We are here to show the world the way, the truth and the life of God. Same way we are the resurrection and the life to the world by getting them born again which is resurrecting them from spiritual death to spiritual life. We are the light of the world. Christianity is a state of being like Christ in Christ. It is not just Christ for you or Christ with you but much more Christ in you and you in Christ. 81. John 11:25-26 (KJV) "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

The resurrection is not an event, not an experience or just an occurrence. The resurrection is a person, the man Jesus. The power of life and death is now in the hand of the man Jesus. Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Only in Christ there is resurrection and life. Outside of Christ there is resurrection but unto death. The power of resurrection is only in the hand of Jesus. No other person or creature has power to resurrect the dead. One may be able medically and otherwise bring a dead back to life. But such person raised from the dead if he died of a sickness after he is raised from the dead the sickness still remains in His body. He still remains sick and could possibly die again soon after if not healed. But when Christ raises from the dead it is a total wholeness. The person is raised and healed of all infirmities in his body.

The resurrection is a person that is why at the name of Jesus the dead are raised back to life. The resurrection is not just about human life but also about giving life to whatever that is suffering death in and around us. When something is consumed by fire it is irreversible but the resurrection power of Jesus has the power to reverse all irreversibles from death to life including what was destroyed by fire. It is the power of all possibilities and has no impossibilities. At the rapture or the last day even a creminated body will rise up again. The name of Jesus is given to us to enforce the power of the resurrection over all creation on earth. The power of resurrection is the same power that saves, heals, prospers, and changes unchangeable situations.

All things in heaven, earth and underneath the earth are subject to the power of the resurrection through the name of Jesus. The devil and all evil spirits flee in terror at the name of Jesus because of the power of the resurrection of Jesus. It is an irresistible power. If only believer will realise the power at our disposal in the name of Jesus, our lives will never be the same again and the world will never be the same again also. It is the power that can turn the world upside down. Philippians 2:5-11; John 14:13-14;

80. Revelation 20:1-3 (KJV) "And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season." This scripture clearly shows us how powerless and helpless the devil has been rendered by the death and resurrection of Jesus.

When Lucifer sinned in heaven it took Arch angel Michael and his angels by great warfare to cast the devil out of heaven. But here, as a result of the devil's defeat to Christ who has taken all his power and authority, now only one angel who is not even in the class of Michael was sent to bound him and cast him into the bottomless pit. If an angel can do this to the devil, it should reawaken us to our matchless authority over the devil for in Christ Jesus we now much higher than the angels in position and authority. Any believer even the smallest or the weakest or the least can deal with the devil. While the angel had to use chain to restrain and cast out the devil, the believer only has to use His mouth to speak to cast him out in the name of Jesus.

79. The second resurrection which the bible does not mention or call resurrection is the resurrection of all unbelievers. The second resurrection is the resurrection of all unbelievers beginning from Adam to the post millennial reign of Christ in Revelation 20:7-15. Unlike the saints the resurrection of the unbelievers is only once at the end of age to face the white throne judgement and to suffer the second death for those whose names were not found in the book of life. Apart from the book of life, there are other books called the books of works from which they shall be judged. While the resurrection of Christ and the first resurrection all received eternal life by either grace of faith in Christ or by the law but those of the second or last resurrection will be judged both by what is written in the books of works and the book of life.

They shall all be judged according to their works, not by grace and not by faith. In this we see the justice of God. The primary law of the earth is the law of sowing and reaping established in Genesis 8:22. It is therefore fair for God judge them by that law also knowing the fact that not all shall know God through Christ or the old testament law. The bible says God is revealed to all in creation and by creation. So all those outside the law and outside grace also have equal opportunity to make heaven. If by their works they did not reject God in their heart but had the fear of God in their heart in their dealings with men their names will remain in the book of life. But if by their works they rejected God in their heart and died that way, their names would have been removed from the book of life. God is not a respecter of persons. He does not have more respect for those under the law or under grace above those who were not under the law.

The bible says in Romans 2:11-16 (KJV) "For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."

Many might not make it at the white throne judgement that is why in this dispensation of grace God has commanded us to preach the gospel of salvation by grace to all nations and to all men to avoid their facing the white throne judgement. So that the gospel they have heard can be a witness for them or against them at the last resurrection. Romans 1:18-32; 2:1-16; 2Chronicle 16:9; Acts 1:8; 10:34-43; 17:22-32; 1Timothy 2:1-5; Matthew 24:14; 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20;

78. When a believer dies now, he is reunited immediately with Christ. The difference is that those who are reuniting now will have no resurrected body until the rapture. The rapture is the complete reunification of the Christ and His body one spirit, one soul, one body and one life. As a result the rapture is not counted as a resurrection because we have already been resurrected with Christ. The resurrection of great tribulation saints is called the first resurrection because it happens after the rapture. Being outside the rapture the great tribulation saints are not part of the body of Christ. Please note that the Church are not the only saints. We have three saints in the bible, the old testament saints, the Church and the post rapture saints. Christ and the church are called the first fruit harvest meaning the full harvest shall follow after the rapture at His second coming.

The old testament saints were resurrected when Christ died on the cross and He took them up with Him but not in Him. When Christ was resurrected the Church was resurrected with Him and in Him. The post rapture saints shall be resurrected but not with Christ or in Christ but for Christ. They belong to Christ because they all died for the witness of Jesus and the word of God. Like the old testament saints they are not part of the church or the body of Christ. For our information uncountable millions or billions of people shall still be saved after the rapture.

The bible says in Revelation 6:9-11 (KJV) "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."

Revelation 7:9, 13-14 (KJV) "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;....And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 77. After the resurrection of Jesus there are only two other resurrections according to the scriptures. The first resurrection is the resurrection of the saints who died during the great tribulations so that they can live and reign with Christ at the millennial reign. The bible says in Revelation 20:4-6 (KJV) "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

The rapture otherwise called being caught up, is not referred to as a resurrection because it involves the body of Christ or those who died in Christ. The head and the body are one. The head is not resurrected separately and the body resurrected separately at another time. That would mean the Church on earth or the body of Christ on earth is headless and Christ who is in heaven is without a body. That would also mean the new creature or the new man is incomplete being without a body in heaven and without a head on earth. But we know this is not so for the bible says we are sitted together with Christ now at the right hand of God in heaven and we are complete in Him.

The point I am making is that as the bible made it clear to us, when Christ died we died with, buried with Him and we were also resurrected or raised with Him on the third day. The church having been resurrected with Christ cannot experience another resurrection at the rapture. That would amount to Christ and His body being resurrected twice. At the rapture what we are experiencing is a reunification with our head Christ. Just as Christ the second member of the Godhead was separated for a season from the Father in order to carry out an assignment for the Father on earth. So also we are separated for a season from Christ for an assignment on earth. As Christ was reunited with the Godhead after his assignment so we shall be reunited with Christ after our assignment ar the rapture. Ephesians 1:19-23; 2:5-6; Colossians 2:9-12; 3:1-4; 1Thessalonians 4:13-17; John 6:51-58; 2Thesssalonians 2:1-12; Romans 6:3-5;

76. Unlike the rapture, all unbelievers must taste all death once and also must face judgement because they rejected the subsitutionary work of Jesus on behalf of all men. By their rejection they have willing separated themselves from the new Adam, the new creation and the new world that is to come. God has no choice but to oblige them according to their heart desire. For the scriptures says 'Ask and you shall be given, and whatever we agreed on earth that shall heaven agree and oblige you'. All unbelievers who are alive at the second coming of Jesus shall be consumed by His wrath unto physical death. At the white throne judgement all unbelievers will be resurrected from hell and physical death to face the white throne judgement since they rejected the subsitutionary death and judgement of God on Jesus on behalf of all men.

Jesus was the lamb of God that took on the wrath and judgement of God on behalf of all men. Jesus having died for our sins and judged by God for all our sins, it is unjust for God to allow all believers to die and face judgement. That in law will be called double jeopardy. Hence the rapture. The bible says in Hebrews 9:26-28 (KJV) "For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." The rapture is the exemption of all living believers from physical death and a proof to all creation that Christ has conquered and abolished death. All unbelievers shall be resurrected including hell and death for the white throne judgement to show the Lordship of Jesus over hell and death. 1Thessalonians 4:13-17; John 6:51-58; 2Thesssalonians 2:1-12; Hebrews 2:14-15; 2Corinthians 5:10,17; Matthew 7:7; 16:19; 18:18-20; Revelation 20:1-15; John 1:29; 2Timothy 1:10;

75. The rapture is a great victory over death especially over the second death. The bible says it is appointed unto man once to die then judgement. By the death and resurrection of Jesus He died once for all men and took the judgement for all men. Therefore by His subsitutionary work on the cross, physical death is no longer for all men and judgement unto second death is no longer appointed for all men. The bible says John 11:25-26 (KJV) "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

At the rapture both the living believers and the dead believers shall be caught up to heaven. The believers who are alive at the time of rapture will not and will never taste death whether physical death or second death. By the power of the resurrection of Jesus all men are no longer appointed to taste death for according to Hebrews 2:9 (KJV) "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man." Jesus tasted death for all men, died for all not just for believers. He abolished death for every man and destroyed the power of death over every man. Death flees at His name. Accept Him as your Lord and Saviour and all He did will begin to work for you. It is a free gift for all but you have to accept it before it becomes yours.

74. Revelation 20:13-15 (KJV) "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

When Jesus returns, at the white throne judgement He shall release all men held captive by hell and death and He shall destroy death and hell forever by casting them unto second death or the lake of fire. All men who are in hell shall face the last judgement. And all those whose names are not found in the book of life shall be cast into the lake of fire. Concerning the book of life it is a book containing the names of all human beings born into this world that God had sent for an assignment and purpose. Every one born into this world was born with life from God or with the life of God just as He gave Adam life at His creation.

Adam was to multiply and pass this life to all his descendants. So no one enters this world without his name in the book of life. All men came from God, the devil owns nothing and created nothing. He only stole what belonged to man. Everyone is born with his name in the book of life and given a guardian angel by God to guide him from childhood until he dies before the angel returns back to God. Names are not written in the book of life after you are born again or the day you accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour. It is wrong to pray to God to write anyone's name in the book of life as there is no scripture to back such prayers.

Even though a child is born spiritually dead in Adam but sin is not accounted to him and he is not called a sinner until he reaches the age of accountability where he knows the law. If he rejects the law or the knowledge of God in his heart before he dies and goes to hell his name is removed from the book of life and ordained for the second death. There is no account in the scriptures where God promised to write any one's name in the book of life or where someone prayed for God to write his name in the book of life. All we have is where people prayed God not to remove their name from the book of life and where God threatened to blot out people's names from the book of life. It is only after the rapture of the church and during the great tribulations that we have people whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world. Exodus 32:32-33; Revelation 3:5; 13:8; 17:8; 20:1-15; 22:19; Psalm 69:28; 139:16; Philippians 4:3; Genesis 1:1-29; 2:7; Matthew 18:10;

73. Unfortunately most believer are trying to have dominion through anointing power, some others want to have dominion through money, wealth and riches. Remember Adam had all the power, money, riches and wealth yet he lost everything to the devil because he did not understand and follow God's model of how to rule and reign in life. Adam instead of following the slow and steady divine formula of being fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, subdue it and have dominion, wanted to have dominion through the quicker way of knowledge of good and evil. He wanted to be like God, wanted to rule by knowledge.

Same challenge we must overcome in the Church today, we can only rule and reign in life through the slow and steady divine formula of being fruitful, multiplication and filling the earth with believers not just by our knowledge and power or by financial prosperity. No matter how much we know and how much of power we have and how many times we cast out devil, what really matters is our fruitfulness and multiplication in the kingdom. Kingdom is about people not things or power. Rulership is about people not about things or power. All the knowledge we have of the scriptures is to make all men disciples of Christ not just for us to accumulate divine wisdom and revelation.

We are called to rule and reign in life not for ourselves but to prevent all men from experiencing the second death. God will judge your ruling and reigning in life in your generation not by any other exploits but in the multlipilication of the kingdom and how much did you fill the earth with believers. Translating Genesis 1:28 in the new testament Jesus delegated all the power and authority over the earth that He had taken from the devil over to all believers to go into the world and make disciples of all nations. Christ has delegated to us all power and authority for us to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth with believers, subdue it and have dominion.

To rule and reign means to have dominion. Through Adam, death is ruling and reigning on earth to bring all men unto the second death. But through Christ, death including spiritual death, physical death and the second death have all been abolished for all men as it was before the fall of man. In Christ Jesus the last Adam, life is now ruling and reigning and we must make sure all men get this life and escape the second death. Genesis 1:28; 3:1-8; Romans 5:12-21; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; 2Corinthians 5:10;

72. Genesis 9:1 (KJV) "And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth." In Genesis 9:1 after God destroyed all living things on earth and started again with Noah and his family, notice that in this command of God to Noah, he was blessed only to be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth. There was no command or blessing to subdue and have dominion because Adam had sold out the power and the authority of man to rule and reign in life in the world to the devil. Satan was the one who then had the power to subdue and have dominion. This situation continued from the days of Noah till the coming of Jesus.

But with the death and resurrection of Jesus the power to subdue and have dominion over all things in the earth was taken from the devil by our Lord Jesus Christ. And that authority has been handed over to the Church to exercise in all its fullness over all things on earth including the devil, evil spirits, sin, sickness, poverty an.d death. We now have the full blessings and command of God to Adam in Genesis 1:28 restored to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, subdue it and have dominion over all things therein. Not only did Christ restore all, He also gave us additional blessings above that of Adam by blessing us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. And has now by position exalted us far above the angels, Adam, the devil and all evil spirits.

Hence the bible says in Ephesians 1:19-23 (KJV) "And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all."

We rule and reign in life by obeying the command of God to man from the beginning to be fruitful and multiply through soul winning and fill the earth with the new man or born again believers. It is only by our multiplication and filling the earth with believers that we can subdue all our enemies the devil, evil spirits, sin, sickness, poverty and death, and subdue the earth and have total complete dominion of the earth and all that is in it. That is what the bible means by saying that Jesus must rule and reign until all his enemies are put under his feet in dominiom. The responsibility of putting all the enemies of Christ under His feet belongs solely to His body the Church through soul winning. The enemies of Christ are our enemies. The devil took over the world and began to rule and reign not by power but by taking over the man Adam and Eve. The only way we can take over to rule and reign in life is to take over all men. 71. The resurrection of Jesus is the beginning of the reign of Jesus as Lord over all things in heaven, in earth and underneath the earth. In His death He went to the lowest and deepest parts of the earth where Satan has his throne and defeated him there by His resurrection. No one had even gone there and come out. It is a place of captivity for all sinners. As the throne of God is in the highest place of the heavens so also the throne of the devil is in the lowest places of the earth. As God reigns supreme from on high so the devil reigned supreme from beneath before the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Lucifer the devil desired to dethrone God and take over the throne of God but he failed. On the other hand Jesus by partaking of sin and death went to the kingdom of darkness, dethroned and overthrew the devil and took over the devils authority. By so doing He put the devil, all evil spirits, sin and death under the authority of man. Remember Jesus came as a man, ministered as a man anointed by the Holy Spirit, died as a man, was buried as a man, went to the kingdom of the dead as a man, defeated the devil as a man and rose from the dead as a new man. The victory of Jesus over the devil, sin and death is the victory of man over the devil, sin and death.

The victory of the resurrection of Jesus is the restoration of all that the devil stole, killed and destroyed from the man Adam. So all that Adam lost to the devil, the man Jesus has restored all and more. As all men are naturally born partakers of the sin and fall of Adam and the dominion of the devil, so also Jesus as the last Adam all believers are born again and spiritually partakers of the victory and dominion of Jesus over the devil. With the victory of Jesus, man is now the one ruling and reigning in life no longer the devil. All the authority and blessings of Adam to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion have been fully restored back to man. By this Adamic authority we have all power and dominion over the devil, all evil spirits, sin, poverty and death in this life. 70. The third and the last kind of death revealed to us by the resurrection of Jesus is called the SECOND DEATH. The second death is the spiritual and physical separation of all evil spirits from the heavens and the earth. It is the terminal and permanent separation of all evil spirits from all divine spirits. Divine spirits includes God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, all believers, and angels. Evil spirits include the devil, all fallen angels, demons and all unbelievers. Presently there are evil spirits and divine spirit in the heavenly places of the first and second heaven. And on earth we also have the presence of divine spirits and evil spirits.

For now unbelievers are not called evil spirits. It is only after the second coming of Jesus and the white throne judgement that unbelievers will be called evil spirits. Before then it is wrong and sinful to call or treat any human being or human spirit as evil spirit. Until an unbeliever dies there is still every possibility of his salvation no matter how evil the person may be.

This last kind of death is called the second death because spiritual death is the first death. When Lucifer and the fallen angels with all other spirit beings now called demons rebelled against the authority of God they all died spiritually which was their first death. When man sinned in the garden of Eden man suffered the first death called spiritual death. Physical Death is not seen as death in the spirit realm but as sleep hence it is not classified as the second death. Also physical death is only peculiar to man and not to other spirits. The third reason is the fact that by the resurrection of Jesus physical death was abolished. So in the sight of God physical death does not exist.

Jesus has freed all men from both spiritual death and physical death by His death and resurrection. Hell, Lake of fire or the second death was not made for man but for the devil, the fallen angels and demons. Any man that suffers the second death did so by ignorance, deception of the devil or by choice of sin unto death. Also if you as a believer allow any unbeliever in your generation to suffer the second death it is also because of your ignorance and unbelief. For we all shall be held accountable for the second death of any man in our generation at the judgement seat of Christ. The second death is a permanent separation of all sinners both man and spirits from God. The lake of fire is the place of second death and the place called the second death. So the second death is not just an event but it is a place specially created by God for that purpose. Spiritual and physical deaths are events that can be redeemed because they are temporary but second death is permanent because it is a special place. Hebrews 9:27; 2Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6; Revelation 20:1-15; Hebrews 12:9; 2Timothy 1:10; Isaiah 14:12-14;

69. We can raise the dead now both the spiritually and physically dead because Christ now has the keys or authority of death and hell. Keys stand for authority. Having taken the authority of death and hell from the devil Jesus is now Lord over the heavens, the earth, hell and all the land of the dead including the Lake of fire. This authority He collected was on behalf of all men because He died and rose from the dead on behalf of all men. When we believe, we become part of His body that died, was buried and rose at the resurrection. It is the reason we use his name to do everything or we do everything on earth in His nsme. So when He went to the land of the dead to collect the keys we were all with. So if Jesus has the keys of hell and death we have it too. Jesus and us are the ones to determine who dies and what death can do in our generation. We have the keys of hell and death to save all men from death, hell and lake of fire. We do not have it to destroy our human enemies.

As a result, the devil cannot kill anyone except the person permits it. With the keys in the hand of men no man is permitted to die or go to hell. With death abolished, physical death is no longer death but sleep until the rapture or day of judgement. Without Hebrews 2:14-15 or the death and resurrection of Jesus salvation would have been impossible, for all men were held captive by death before then. If Christ had not risen He would have also been held captive by the power of death in the land of the dead. Jesus said Matthew 16:18-19 that 'I will build my Church and the gates of hell will never prevail' because He knew He will destroy death and the devil by His resurrection.

The gates of hell are the gates of death. Gates also means the place of authority. All the authorities of hell cannot prevail because Jesus now has the keys to the gates of hell. Hell and death are one because hell is the place of the physical dead who died without Christ. With keys of hell and death in the hand of Christ and death abolished, we are not supposed to permit anyone to die and go to hell. With death abolished hell is not supposed to exist for anyone in your generation, you are supposed to close the gates of hell against all men in your generation. That is why we have the keys and that is why Christ said the gates of hell will never prevail.

Let not more people go to hell than heaven in your family, community, town, city, state, nation and the whole world. In the name of Jesus you are the resurrection and the life of your generation. How many people have you raised from spiritual death to life and how many are you planning to resurrect to eternal life in your life time. In 1John 3:8 the bible says Jesus was manifest to destroy the works of the devil. Jesus was not manifest to destroy workers of iniquity. There is a difference between works and workers. Works are the actions, workers are the people.

Jesus do not come to destroy people but to destroy the works of the devil in their lives. So do not destroy the workers but destroy the works and save the workers. It is the works that gave birth to the workers. Therefore if the works are destroyed the workers will be set free to work for God instead of the devil. In 1Corinthians 3:21-23 'All things are yours' means all things are now under your authority including people, life, death and the whole world. All things are under our authority to give them light and life. Notice death is part of what the bible says belong to us because in Christ Jesus we have the keys of hell and death. John 11:25; Revelation 1:18; Romans 6:3-10; 1Corinthians 15:50-58; 1Timothy 2:1-4; 2Timothy 1:10;

68. By the power of the resurrection of Jesus the fear of death was destroyed having revealed to man that physical death is no longer terminal point of all life. Even though it was appointed unto man once to die then judgement, by the power of the resurrection all men will no longer die before judgement. By the power of the resurrection of Jesus, at the rapture both the living and the physically dead shall all be resurrected unto new life. The living shall be resurrected from their physical dead body of sin. The physically dead shall be resurrected from the grave, regardless of how they died and where they died. Even though no physical evidence of the physical body can be found anywhere on earth yet the power of the resurrection shall fashion out their new body from the earth to be united with their spirit in the air. And we shall take on the new nature of flesh and bones like Jesus.

Without the resurrection of Jesus all men would have by law of sin and death died physically before judgement. Thank God Christ has set us free from the law of sin and death. In the old testament the bible says 'The soul that sinneth shall surely die' with no mercy or hope. But Jesus having destroyed and abolished death by His resurrection and shed His blood also to destroy the power of sin over man has set us fsee from the law of sin and death. A sinner is no longer appointed or destined unto death but has redemption and forgiveness of sin by the blood of Jesus available for him. Where there is no sin there are no sinners. Where there are no sinners there is no death. Death only exist because there is sin.

In Adam all are born sinners and appointed unto death regardless of your actions. In Christ Jesus all are born righteous and appointed unto eternal life independent of your works. As a result of what God has done for us in Christ Jesus no man is supposed to suffer the second death or eternal death since Christ had abolished death for all men. Whoever dies the second death or eternal death did not die because of sin but because he choose the devil instead of Jesus. By the death and resurrection of Jesus sin lost all it's power and dominion over man to take him to death. As believers we have the authority to break the power of sin and death over all men who are still under its deception and dominion of sin and death after Jesus has destroyed both by His death and resurrection.

We should stop blaming and condemning people for their sins. It is not sin that is their problem but the blindness that the devil had kept them all from knowing what Jesus had done for them. That is why God will hold every believer directly responsible for every unbeliever that dies without Christ. God has given us authority over the devil not just for ourselves and our personal needs but for salvation and rescue of all men from the blindness of the devil. They are only blind and in darkness but we are the light of the world. Light is greater than darkness. It is darkness that is always afraid of light and flees from light always. Any unbeliever that goes to hell is a loss to you, to Christ and to the kingdom of God. We are given the great commission because their salvation depends on us. All power and authority in heaven and earth belongs and He has immediately delegated all His power on earth to His church to cast out the influence of the devil from all and save all. 67. The resurrection of Jesus was the revelation and unveiling of the mystery of death. Before the resurrection of Jesus death was shrouded in mystery and feared greatly by all. This fear was so great that people die more of the fear of death than of death itself. That is why the bible says in Hebrews 2:14-15 the first thing Jesus destroyed by His death and resurrection was the power of the fear of death that had all men under bondage since the fall of Adam. Being spiritually dead and separated from the life of God, man was in constant fear of physical death as the immediate consequence of his state of spiritual death.

The fear of death is the basis of all fears. Every fear is rooted in the fear of physical death, whether it is the fear of sickness, poverty, failure, evil, the devil, or the fear of darkness, the unknown or uncertainty. Physical death was feared because it was seen as the terminal point of life here on earth and forever. But thank God for the death and resurrection of Jesus that uncovered to all that there is eternal life and hope after physical death.

Fear or the fear of physical death is the foundation of all the activities of the devil on earth since after the fall of man. Once there is fear, there will be unbelief and doubt, followed by sin. Fear is the reason for every sin. Fear is the reason for all worries, anxiety, anger, complaining, murmuring, bitterness, unforgiveness, vengeance, etc. The love of money is the result of the fear of poverty and death. Fear has torment. If you can conquer fear in your life you have conquered death and the devil.

Fear is the direct opposite of faith. Faith is being confident of life. Whatever is not of faith is sin. Whatever is of faith is life and righteousness. The victory that overcomes the world of fear, sin, death, the devil and all unrighteousness is our faith. Faith is righteousness. Faith is fearlessness, for the righteous are as bold as a lion. Thank God for the death and resurrection of Jesus that has revealed faith and righteousness to us in the new testament. 66. With the resurrection of Jesus all spiritually and physically dead in Christ will never die again. All the old testament saints who died physically before the resurrection of Jesus were raised from the dead together with Jesus and ascended into heaven with Him awaiting the rapture and the judgement seat of Christ. As a result of the resurrection of Jesus all believers who die physically are not said to be dead but to be asleep. They are asleep because Jesus has abolished death for all who believe in Him. When you believe in Jesus you will never die again. In essence there is no physical death for the believer for the bible says for us to be absent in this body is to be present with Christ immediately.

At physical death the believer only removes this earthly house to enable him exit the earth to be with the Lord. But at the rapture the spirit of all physically dead believer will return with Christ and their physical body that was left in the grave will take on a new eternal nature of flesh and bones like the resurrected body of Christ. And all believers who will be alive at the time of rapture will also experience an instant change of their bodies from flesh and blood to flesh and bones. With that new body our new creation and new man is complete spirit, soul and body. With the new body we all will go to heaven with Christ to face the judgement seat of Christ which is our place of eternal reward for all that we did in our flesh and blood bodies while on earth. It is not a judgement of condemnation as Christ cannot condemn Himself or His body or His bride.

After this judgement comes the marriage of the Lamb when Christ shall be officially married to His church as one forever. It is after the marriage of the Lamb that Christ will return to the earth with His church or body for His second coming. 65. When Jesus took on Himself all our sins on the cross and became sin, He died spiritually and was separated from the Father. Remember spiritual death is a result of sin. It was when Jesus died spiritually that He cried out on the cross 'My God my God why has thou forsaken me'. This cry was because for the first time in His life the manifest presence of God was separated from Him. Notice he cried my God not my Father. The presence of the Father was always with Him as a son but not the manifest presence. It is the kind of feeling a backslidden Christian goes through or one who has grieved the Holy Spirit in him due to sin. It is a feeling of emptiness, lost and will make you very uncomfortable.

I remember when this happened to me a few years ago when I went into prayer and fasting complaining to God concerning my marriage. Due to pressure from people I went into this fast to seek the face of God. Immediately I started the fast it was as if something left me and I lost my peace. No one told me to stop the fast and repent. It was not that the Father or God who abandoned Jesus or turned His back on Him as some have taught. That is not the nature of God towards His children for He will never leave you nor abandon you. Adam who was a type of Jesus, when he and Eve sinned God did not abandon them rather they abandoned God because of sin and went into hiding. Even in the midst of their sin God came looking for them.

It is sin that separates man from God it is not God that separates Himself from any one. Nothing can separate God from you, you are the only one that will separate yourself from God because of sin or it is sin that will separate you from God. God could not have abandoned Jesus because it was not His sin, in fact as the lamb of God it was God who put the sin of the world on Him. Remember Jesus was the lamb of God. It was God who was making the sacrifice it was not just Jesus who was sacrificing himself. God could not have abandoned His sacrifice. The bible says God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. And John 3:16 (KJV) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Matthew 27:43-53; 2Corinthians 5:19-21; Genesis 3:1-24; Hebrews 13:5; Ephesians 4:30; John 1:29;

64. The second type of death is the PHYSICAL DEATH. Physical Death is physical separation from this world or separation from the earth. Physical Death is physical separation of man and all flesh from the world as a result of sin and spiritual death. Physical Death is only applicable to all that have flesh. It is not applicable to angels, the devil or evil spirits because they do not have flesh. Physical Death is suffered not only by man but also animals, birds, fishes and plants. Physical Death is also the separation of the human spirit from the human body. The human body or flesh is the house that gives us authority and ability to live in this world unlike other spirits.

Spirits are eternal, they never die, they are only separated either from God , or from this world or from their body as is the case of man and evil spirits. The bible says in Hebrews 9:27 that It is appointed unto man once to die then judgement. Physical Death is separation of man from the world to await the judgement of God. For the believer it is a temporary separation from the world as he will return back to the the earth to rule and reign with Christ at the millennial reign of Christ. But for the unbeliever it is a permanent separation from the world to await judgement and condemnation to the lake of fire.

Before the resurrection of Jesus all believers who died physically went to paradise a place below the earth, because the way into heaven was not yet open to man. It was after Jesus took our sins and became sin and died spiritually and physically on behalf of all men, resurrected and went into heaven as a man and as our high priest that the way into heaven was open to all believers who suffered physical death. On the cross Jesus not only suffered physical death but he first suffered spiritual death because without spiritual death it was impossible for anyone to die physically. Physical Death is a consequence of spiritual death. Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 2:14-15; 9:1-15; 10:1-22; Genesis 5:1-31; Roman 5:12-21; 2Peter 1:13-14; 1Peter 2:24; Matthew 27:45-53;

This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. The communion is given to us to remind us that by the death and resurrection of Jesus we have overcome death and have been given power and victory over death. The communion tells us that when we partake of the death and resurrection of Jesus by faith we have moved from spiritual death to spiritual life. We partake of the death and resurrection of Jesus when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and we become born again or born anew. Our first birth was into spiritual death but when we are born again we are born into spiritual life. The first birth is being born of the flesh, the second birth is being born of the Spirit. The communion is our testimony that death has been abolished in our life and in the world for all who believe. By the communion Christ has abolished death and has brought immortality to all.

There is only one life, the life of God and there is life only in God. When we partake of the communion we partake of life, the one life the life of God. Outside God there is no life. All unbelievers, the devil and all evil spirits have no life, they are not living but dead. They are dead spirits because they are all spiritually dead. When Jesus rose from the dead He broke the power of death and destroyed death because death was supposed to be the terminal point of all sinners. There was supposed to be nothing like the resurrection of the dead. The resurrection of Jesus was the revelation of one of the mysteries of God hidden from all creation. People died in the past and were resuscitated or brought back to life only to die again later.

But it had never happened that anyone died and went to hell and all the land of the dead and rose up again, never to die again. Death was the ultimate authority and final authority of the devil. When Jesus rose from the dead He had collected and taken all the power and authority of the devil and rendered him powerless and completely impotent. Hence the scriptures say of Jesus in Revelation 1:18 (KJV) "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." And in Colossians 2:15 (KJV) "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it." By the death and resurrection of Jesus death is no longer the terminal point for all men, there is now life after death. The resurrection of Jesus marks the end of the fear of death. 1Corinthians 11:23-32; 2Timothy 1:10; Hebrews 2:14-15; John 14:6; Ephesians 4:8-10; Colossians 2:9-15;

62. Spiritual Death in man is only temporary as there is provision for redemption, atonement and propitiation through the blood of Jesus. Only blood can pay the price of sin because without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. Fortunately only man has blood, spirits like all evil spirits have no blood so there can be no redemption, atonement and propitiation for their sins.

Since by the sin and spiritual death of one man Adam that death entered into world, the blood, righteousness and life of one man Jesus can also redeem all men and pass unto all men spiritual life again. Hence Jesus said in John 10:10 (KJV) "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." In John 11:25-26 (KJV) "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" Also John 3:16 (KJV) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Every man is born into this world spiritually dead. Spiritual Death among men is not normally a result of your personal sin. Spiritual Death is a state of being, it is not something you become by your decisions and actions but it is something you can overcome by your personal decisions and actions towards Jesus Christ the REDEEMER of all spiritually dead men. No other action can get you out of spiritual death except the acceptance of the redemption work of the blood of Jesus on your behalf. When you accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour your spirit is recreated to a new spirit. Recreated from the dead spirit of all descendants of Adam to a new and living spirit of all the descendants of Jesus Christ.

Since spiritual death was not a result of your sins but the sin of Adam, so also you cannot receive spiritual life as a result of your righteousness but the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus is what has provided victory and authority over spiritual death. As a result now all believers in Jesus Christ are now spiritually alive but all unbelievers are still spiritually dead. Having overcome spiritual death even though we die physically we shall never die eternally rather we shall live eternally. For in Christ Jesus we have received eternal life or the everlasting life of God. When you have eternal life you have overcome death forever. We now have the same life that God has, instead of the life of the devil we had under spiritual death. This eternal life is available free for all and that is why we are freely teaching, preaching and sharing this good news of salvation in Christ Jesus to all men including you. 61. There are three kinds of death that Jesus came to destroy in His resurrection from the dead. They are Spiritual Death, Physical Death, and the Second Death. Death is separation from God and that separation can be temporary or permanent, spiritual separation or physical separation or eternal separation.
SPIRITUAL DEATH is separation from God due to sin. God is a holy and righteous, he does not dwell and cannot dwell where there is sin and unrighteousness neither can He have fellowship with sin and unrighteousness. Spiritual Death is the first level of death. When Lucifer and the angels sinned they immediately became spiritually dead. When the devil deceived man and He sinned man also immediately became spiritually dead. Spiritual Death comes mainly from the sin of disobedience and rebellion against the word of God and His authority. God told man in Genesis 2:16-17 (KJV) "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

A spiritually dead being may still be physically alive or spiritually active but He is separated from the abundant life and blessings of God. Man may be spiritually dead but he is still physically alive. Lucifer and all evil spirits may be spiritually dead but they are still spiritually active on earth. Spiritual Death is a temporary separation from God awaiting divine judgement. For man, being temporary means he still has a chance of redemption, repentance and salvation from permanent death. Which was what Jesus came to facilitate for all men. But for the devil and all evil spirits it is only temporary awaiting divine judgement because there is no redemption, repentance or salvation for spiritually dead spirits. There is no repentance in the spirit or for spirits because they do not dwell in the realm of time and space and they do not act according to time or space. Spirits know past, present and future so when they sin there can be no redemption because their sin was willful not a matter deception or ignorance as was the case of man.

When one is spiritually dead, death and the power of death is at work in such a person continually and everything the person does leads him more and more closer to either to physical death and or eternal death. Death and the power of death is at work in the life and body of all men to take them as quickly as possible unto physical death and if they are not saved, unto eternal death. So also death is at work in all devils to continue to do evil unto eternal death. Where death is at work sin also at work. Without sin there can be no death. So technically speaking to be in sin or to be a sinner is to be spiritually death. A believer who is living in sin is said to be spiritually asleep not dead. A believer is not a sinner and can never be called a sinner. A sinner is one who is spiritually dead or whose spirit is dead. A sinner is one by birth and nature just as the spiritually dead. Therefore I resist and I reject every sickness in my body and I confess Jesus today as my healer and I receive my healing now. Thank you Jesus that I am healed. 1Peter 2:24; Ps 107:20.

THE BLESSINGS AND BENEFITS OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS. Part 52.

Genesis 2:17 (KJV) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
2Timothy 1:10 (KJV) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Today we continue our study series titled THE BLESSINGS AND BENEFITS OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS to enable us to walk in the fullness of the resurrection power.

60. The fourth blessing and benefit of the resurrection of Jesus is the VICTORY AND AUTHORITY it gave us OVER DEATH. Death is not ceasation of existence. Death simply means separation from God. It is called separation from God because God is life and only in Him you can have life. Outside God is death. Walking in obedience or walking with God is walking in life. Walking in disobedience is walking in death. God is life and light. Walking in light is walking life. Walking in darkness is walking in death. Walking in sin is walking in death, walking in righteousness is walking in life. Sin and death always go together. Sin, death and the devil are always together, they go together and they walk together. The bible says in John 10:10 that Satan the thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: but Jesus says I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The power of the devil is death. The purpose of the devil is death. The kingdom of the devil is death. Every activity and every thing the devil does is to bring about death gradually or instantly. Jesus died and rose again to take away from the devil and destroy all his power of death in the heaven, earth and underneath the earth. The power of death is the grave. The opposite of the grave is the resurrection. That is why the resurrection is the greatest victory over the devil, sin and death. Victory over death is victory over the devil because all his power is in sin and death. The bible says in 1Corinthians 15:54-57 (KJV) "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

There are two types of grave the physical grave and the eternal grave. The physical grave is the burial into the ground. The eternal grave is the burial into the lake of fire. The physical grave is where men are buried, the eternal grave is where spirits are buried. People bury one another both the good and the bad in the physical grave but it is God who buries all evil spirits in the eternal grave. The physical grave separates dead men from living men, the eternal grave separates the dead spirits from the living spirits forever. The eternal grave is the eternal banishment and destruction of sin, death and the devil and all his associates forever. It is the terminal place of death after which nothing called shall be found or heard of forever.

All men will be resurrected from the physical grave but there is no resurrection from the eternal grave. By the resurrection of Jesus He alone now has the key or authority over both the physical grave and the eternal grave. In the meantime the devil has the power of death but Jesus has the key or authority of death. Which means it is the devil who kills but it is Jesus who authorizes based on the law of sowing and reaping. Even though the devil has the power of death He cannot kill whoever he likes except Jesus or men permit him. Genesis 2:16-17; 3:1-24; Romans 6:4; 8:1-2; 2Timothy 1:10; Revelation 1:18; 19:20; 20:10-15; 21:8; Matthew 14:12; 16:19; 27:50-53; Hebrews 2:14-15; John 1:1-5; 12:17; Colossians 2:12; 1Corinthians 15:4;

The bottom line of all what we are saying is that God wants you to begin to see yourself in the eyes and light of all that the resurrection of Jesus has done for you and has made you. And no more in your fleshly natural sin nature so that you can begin to enjoy the fullness of the blessings of the mystery of the resurrection power which includes eternal life and freedom from sin, sickness, diseases, poverty, demonic oppression, fear, doubts, anxieties and death.

If you need healing the bible says In Matthew 8:17 that Jesus Himself took all our sicknesses and diseases. Therefore you can receive your healing now by faith in the name of Jesus. Just lay your hand on the affected area of your body and say this prayer. Father God in the name of Jesus I believe that Jesus died for my healing. I believe He took all my sickness and diseases on the cross. If He took them, then I cannot have them.
