1Corinthians 13:4-8 (KJV) "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."

34. God does not kill or destroy but the law portrayed God as a killer. God blesses God does not curse but the law portrayed God as the one putting curses on people. God is a healer but the law portrayed God as the one putting sickness on people because of their sins. God is a spirit but the law appealed to the flesh. God is faithful but the law was not of faith. The law was not faithful because if you fail one law you fail all. The law did not portray God as a faithful one to His promise because the law was so conditional and dependent on man that people could not experience the faithfulness of God to His promises. We see this especially in the books of the prophets.

The law says whatever you sow you shall reap even to the fourth generation. God is gracious but the law demanded works thus portraying God as the taskmaster you have to work hard to please before He can reward you with blessings. God is full of mercy and compassion but the law portrayed God as one who never forgives nor forgets your iniquities requiring it until the fourth generation. Jesus ministry showed us the divine nature of a merciful and compassionate God. The law had no adequate provision for the fovegiveness and forgetfulness of sin. But grace and truth has exceeding abundant provision for the forgiveness and forgetfulness of sin through the blood of Jesus.

The law portrayed God as the source of all sicknesses and diseases as part of His judgement on the sinner but Jesus showed us that God is a healer, regardless of your sins. The law portrayed God not only as one who hated sin but also as one who hated the sinner. Under the law when one sins a whole family and even a whole nation has sinned at the same time. Therefore under the law sometimes the judgement does not come on only the offender but upon all. For example Mariam, Dathan and Abiram, Achan, etc. But in the new testament Jesus has been judged for all, so judgement cannot come to all but individually. While judgement is for all but vengeance is for only the enemies of God. Jesus not only suffered judgement but he also took on the vengeance of God for all sins and sinners. 33. The Law Could Not Reveal the True Nature of God. Psalms 145:8-9 (KJV) The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
Another reason why the law was not revealed in the old testament was because the law could not reveal the true nature of God. God is Love. Love is longsuffering but the law constantly demanded instant judgement without mercy. God is merciful. The bible says God is good and His mercy endures forever. Mercy is the first action of love towards the one He loves. But the first action of the law was condemnation and judgement. Under the law the mercy of God did not endure forever but stopped at most the fourth generation. Love is gracious but the law contained no provision for grace except the grace of God due to God's sworn promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob which was before the law came.

All through the old testament it was God's remembrance of His covenant and gracious promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that always invoked the love of God, His mercy and His grace towards Israel. It was His sworn promises to Abraham that most times withheld His hand of judgement which the law demanded. But faith is not so, faith is a product of the love, mercy and grace of God. It is the love of God through His mercy that makes grace available for faith to receive all that it needs and wants freely. So faith being a product of the love, mercy and grace of God could not be revealed where these nature of God were not revealed or freely available.

Love is unconditional but the law was conditional. The law demanded conditional performance before there could be a blessing. But faith only demands believing in your heart and saying so with your mouth to receive God's blessings. God is a father. The law could not portray the nature of God as a father until Jesus came. The law portrayed God as God or Master and Israel as His servants. But the grace of Christ makes all believers sons of God. The Israelites under the law were the people of God but they were not born of God like the Church. The law portrayed God as the Almighty Creator, King, Ruler, Law Giver and Judge, who is far separated from this world. But under the grace of Christ, God is a Father who lives together with His children inside them, always with them and in them for constant eternal fellowship and relationship. In fact even in heaven now we are sitted at the right hand of the throne of God in Christ Jesus right in the presence of God. Grace be with you. Ephesians 1:3 (KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

32. All the Promises and the Blessings of God are only fulfilled in Christ Jesus: 2Corinthians 1:20 (KJV) For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Faith was not revealed in the old testament because all the promises of God from the foundation of the world had not been fulfilled. No promise was truly fulfilled in the old testament but in types and shadows. Faith is based only on fulfilled promises not unfulfilled promises. Faith is based only on what is offered or available by grace. Faith only receives unmerited favours, unmerited blessings and unmerited promises. Whatever you can earn, whatever you can work hard to get and whatever you can merit to receive cannot be received by faith. Jesus the word of God is the fulfillment of all God's promises and blessings. The bible says all the promises of God and all the blessings of God are only in Christ Jesus. By the resurrection, ascension and glorification of Jesus all the promises and blessings of God from before the foundation of the world have all been fulfilled. There are no outstanding or unfulfilled promises or blessings.

We pray, ask and demand all things by faith in the name of Jesus because all the promises and blessings are fulfilled in Him alone. All the promises of God are yes and Amen in Christ. Yes and Amen means it has been fulfilled and given to us forever and God cannot change His mind concerning that. Unlike the old testament when God blessed and made promises to some people and changed His mind. In the new testament God does not and cannot change His mind because all the promises and blessings were made to Jesus and for Jesus, and there is nothing in heaven or earth that will ever make God change His mind concerning Jesus His son. The bible says all things are of Jesus, through Him and back to Him. All things were created by Jesus, for Him and for His pleasure. Hence all the promises and blessings of God were made to Jesus, for Jesus and for His pleasure. And in Him by faith all that are His are ours because we are His body.

The promises and blessings God gave to Adam in the garden of Eden was to Jesus because Adam was only a figure of Jesus who is to come. The promises and blessings of God to Abraham were not made to Abraham but to Abraham's seed who is Christ. As much as Abraham received the promise it was not fulfilled until in Christ the seed. Being the body of Christ and sharing the same life with Him all the promises and blessings of God in Jesus belongs to us and for our pleasure. All things are ours in Christ, all things are for our sake and all things are working together for the fulfillment of all the promises and blessings of God in our lives. There is nothing good but the goodness in Christ. All things are already ours by grace hence we can only receive them by faith. Faith cannot be revealed when there was nothing free to receive. When Jesus said it is finished, it also meant that all the work, the promises and all the blessings had been accomplished and fulfilled. Grace be with you. John 1:1-4 (KJV) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men."

31. Jesus The Word of God Was Not Revealed In The Old Testament: The bible says John 1:14, 16 (KJV) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth......And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
Faith was not revealed in the old testament because Jesus the word of God was not yet revealed or manifest. The word had always been with God from the beginning but was never manifested in any form. But in Christ Jesus the word was not only manifested and revealed to men, but the world took on humanity, manifested and revealed Himself as a man. The law were mere written words or spoken words but Jesus is the word revealed in the flesh and likeness of men. Infact while the law was the written intentions or will of God but Jesus is the word of God in action, the living word. He is God or the word living under the law and fulfilling the law Himself personally for all men to see and behold. He is the revelation of the life and the will of God.

If you need to see God, see Jesus. If you need to see the word of God, see Jesus. If you need to see the will of God, see Jesus. If you need to see the love, mercy, compassion, grace and the faith of God, see Jesus. If you need to see the divine nature, see Jesus. Not only was Jesus the revelation of the word and God, He was the fullness of the word. While the law and the old testament was types and shadows but Jesus was the reality and the full reality. Look no further for God, nor His word, nor His will, nor His commandments. Colossians 2:3, 9-10 (KJV) "In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.....9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:"

The law was not the revelation of the word of God but the revelation of transgressions, sin and death, a revelation of the wrath, anger and judgement of God. As a result the revelation of the true nature of God was not revealed to them. The law could not reveal the love, mercy, grace and faith of God but only in types and shadows. The law came by Moses who was a servant but love, mercy grace and the faith of God was revealed by Jesus, the son of God. The law was revealed through angels and mediated by angels. The word of God was only revealed in types and shadows in the old testament. The new testament is the unveiling of God, of His fullness, His word, His life, His love, His Spirit, and His character. All these were revealed in Christ and through Christ and has been given to us freely by grace to receive them by faith. This revelation of the fullness of God and His word is the reason why most of our blessings in the new covenant are qualified with the word ALL. Only all are given to us unlike the law. Faith is based on the knowledge and revelation of the word of God. Faith cannot be revealed in types and shadows or letters of the word as was the case in the old testament but only on the revealed word. Hence faith begins only where the knowledge and the will of God is known.

The birth of Jesus and the blood of Jesus was the beginning of the revelation of the will of God for man. Faith only comes by hearing the word or by the revelation of the word. Your faith is only as big as your revelation of the word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing. The more you hear, the more the revelation you will have to give you faith. You cannot have faith of something you cannot see in your imagination or hope. Faith could not come in the old testament because the fullness of the word of God, promises and blessings had not manifested Himself or revealed Himself. Until Jesus the word became flesh and began to preach and teach there was no hearing of faith. The word was revealed in the old testament in types and shadows and through angels. The word spoken by angels could not generate faith only the word spoken by the word of God Himself can generate the hearing of faith. Jesus is the living word. Grace be with you. UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH IS. Part 30.

Galatians 5:18-25 (KJV) "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

30. In the spirit there is no time or space only in the flesh. In the spirit there are no special times of prayer but you pray as you are led by the spirit. So also there are no special places of prayer for spiritual warfare. If you think so or do so you are walking in the flesh. Don't go to the river side to pray as the best place to fight marine spirits. Neither face east or west or south or north. You can choose a place or time that is quiet so you can fellowship with God in prayer, not for warfare. In the flesh there are times, places and spaces but in the spirits such do not exist. Do not use the devil's methods to fight him. If you do so you are walking in the flesh and he will decieve you and dominate you. Don't think that calling the name of Jesus seven times or calling Holy Ghost fire seven times before you pray has spiritual impact. It is of the flesh because it is imitation of the way witches carry out their enchantments and incantations. Jesus called it vain repetitions. You don't have to conclude a prayer by saying Amen, Amen, fire. There are no scriptures for these excesses. They are done based on carnal understanding of spiritual warfare. They are all mental exercises and of the flesh, nothing of the spirit or spiritual.

They are not of faith or done by faith. Faith is based on the word of God. People spend hours and days praying and even fasting all using carnal and fleshly methods. At the end they feel mentally, psychologically and physically satisfied they have engaged in spiritual exercise. Faith in not based on feeling. Imagine a person spending his prayer time saying die, die, die, die, as many times and he thinks it is effective spiritual warfare. Is death of the spirit or of the flesh. Is praying for death walking in the spirit or in the flesh. Are you praying for the believers who are living spirits to die or are you praying for the unbelievers who are already spiritually dead to die or are you praying for the devil and evil spirits who are already dead spirits to die. At the end all they want is in the flesh which is unforgiveness, bitterness, vengeance and physical death of a person. We wrestle not against flesh and blood. We do not fight against human beings. The devil knows we do not fight against human beings hence he will constantly use people against us so that we can walk in the flesh. We do not fight to hurt or harm or kill anyone. Such actions are not of faith or by faith.

The devil will through up all kinds of challenges your way through people so that your focus will be on people. He will send familiar spirits to give you revelations about the human beings responsible for your problems. You are not the first. Take no offence at anyone no matter their offense against you, if you want to walk in the spirit and if you want God to hear your prayers and if you want your faith to work. Faith works by your love towards God and towards your neighbour. All the problems of Joseph, David and even Jesus were caused by the devil through human beings, yet they never focused on the people as their enemies. All the problems and suffering of Apostle Paul were mostly in the hand of the Jews. The ones he suffered in the hand of the Gentiles were mostly generated by the Jews, his own blood relatives. Yet we never see Paul pray against them or fight them or say anything evil about them or desire evil for them. Christianity is a spiritual warfare against the devil not against human enemies. The devil has no spiritual weapons to fight you so he will use human beings, flesh and blood as his major weapon. Fighting or praying against any human being is not spiritual warfare but carnal warfare. Neither is it a prayer of faith or praying by faith.

The devil is having a field day because many believers don't know spiritual warfare. They are busy fighting in the flesh or carnal warfare thinking they doing spiritual warfare. Right from Adam the devil fights God and human beings only through people, he has no other effective waepon. He knows God loves people even the most wicked. He knows that the only way to pitch you against God or to remove your divine backing is to pitch you against human beings. The devil is a liar and a deceiver so never see any problem with natural or carnal eyes. Please know that the devil knows he is no match for the believer spiritually. So his best bet is to decieve you to condescend to his level in the flesh to fight him. In the flesh you are no match for the devil. Don't be led by the devil, evil spirits and witches. Don't try to emback on any spiritual exercises because of the devil, evil spirits and witches, if not you will be led to walk in the flesh after them. Don't be a devil and evil spirits chaser. Be led by the Spirit always. Walk and live by faith.

Praying, fasting, studying should be your normal daily life not when the devil comes calling. If you carry out these exercises because of the devil or evil spirits or challenges you are walking in the flesh. That is why the Lord Jesus recommends we live a fasted life unto the Lord and pray always. Praying, fasting and studying is part of our fellowshipping with our Father day and night. Make out your best times and places to pray in order to fellowship with God not to fight the devil and your enemies. When you are in constant fellowship with the Father you will always prevail against the devil and the flesh. Grace be with you. UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH IS. Part 29.

Ephesians 1:19-23 (KJV) "And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all."

29. The bible says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, not of the flesh but of the spirit. But the weapons of the enemy the devil and all his cohorts are all carnal and the works of the flesh. The mistake we have made as believers is to think that the devil, evils spirits and witches that they are fighting in the spirit with spiritual weapons. In spiritual warfare only living spirits fight spiritually with spiritual weapons. All dead spirits fight only in the flesh and carnally. In Ephesians 6:10-18 all the weapons mentioned there are all spiritual, based on the word of God. The devil and evil spirits may be spirits but they have no spiritual weapons to fight. All the words of the devil are lies. When the bible says Jesus spoiled principalities and powers, it means that when Jesus died, went to hell and rose from the dead, he disarmed the devil of all his spiritual weapons and powers. The devil has no spiritual weapons or spiritual powers to fight any believer or any living spirits including divine angels.

The devil and all evil spirits are powerless before angels. Which makes them far more powerless before the least believer because in Christ Jesus we are now higher than the angels. In fact the angels are now our messengers. The believer with this understanding has no battle to fight but to take his stand and exercise his authority over the devil. This is what the bible calls the good fight of faith. When we cast out devils in the name of Jesus it is the angels who enforce our commands. So we must understand that while we are fighting the devil spiritually they are not fighting us spiritually but carnally through the works of the flesh. While we are fighting them through our spirit, they are fight us through our mind and our flesh. They manipulate things in the invisible to influence what you see and what you feel, so that they can create fear and doubts in your mind. In 2Corinthians 10:3-5 immaginations exist only in the mind not in the spirit. We respond by casting down immaginations. Not by reasoning with the devil. Notice in all our fight against the devil we use only the languages of authority such as cast, resist, reject, give no room, and stand firm.

So we must stop elevating the activities of the devil, evil spirits and witches as spiritual. As long as we see them as spiritual we will be fighting them wrongly and with fear. Ones you see demonic activities as spiritual you will end up fighting in fear and in the flesh. But when we know all their activities are carnal, we are more bold and confident to subdue them and ignore them. More so because the weapons of the devil are carnal all his methods are carnal. We must never see the methods of the devil as spiritual. So do not condescend to the carnality of the devil by trying to imitate his methods. For example, simply because witches wake up at midnight to make incantation does not make midnight anything special spiritually. So do not think that praying at 12midnight is spiritual warfare. If you think this way and pray that way you are walking in the flesh. The devil manipulates his works as spiritual to decieve men to walk in the flesh and as long as you are in the flesh nothing you do will ever please God. The bible never calls them spiritual so never do so or see them so. God bless you. 28. The spirit rules over the flesh, the devil, and all circumstances through faith in the word or the spoken word of faith. God as the Father of spirits rules only by speaking, so also as spirits after His likeness we can only rule our world by what we say. What you say is your faith speaking. You have what you say, tells us the extent of the power of spoken words. Speaking is the first and primary action of faith. All the activities of the devil, evils spirits and witches are aimed at taking you away from the spirit realm, from your faith and from eternity to bring you to begin to think and act in the flesh, unbelief and as if you are in time. Instead of speaking the word of God, the devil will make you say what you see, what you feel and public opinion. Time can never be against you. Can time be against eternity?

Eternity controls time, so take control of your time by your faith in the eternal word of God despite what is happening in time to you. Regardless of what times and seasons are saying, always confess what the word says about you in all situations. The word covers all situations. We are eternal kings called to rule over time, the world and all that is therein. One of the biggest mistake of the devil was to make Himself the god of this world. By doing that, he brought himself under the law of the earth and brought himself indirectly under the direct authority of man. Remember God gave the earth to man. Even though the devil stole it from man, the earth still belongs to man by eternal inheritance. Which was why the man Jesus could come and take it back from the devil. So every believer no matter how small you are, you are lord over the devil as far as this earth is concerned. So give no room to him. All things are yours. Hence in Christ Jesus we are god over all the gods of this world, we are kings over all the kings of this world and we are lord over all the lords of this world for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

The nations are your inheritance and unto the ends of the earth are your possession. It is sad to hear and see believers giving away their inheritance and possession to the devil in fear that the devil is taking over the world. Impossible. The devil owns nothing in heaven, earth or under the earth including hell. Jesus has the keys of hell and not the devil. Jesus has died risen and purchased back the souls of all men. So the devil owns no human being no matter how wicked and evil he may be. He is only under the deception of the devil. He is your inheritance so don't let the devil steal him from you. Any one that goes to hell is a loss of your inheritance. We have the power and the gospel to set all men free from his bondage. 2Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV) "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

A thief cannot own what he stole. The devil is a thief. All things are yours. Let all believers begin to live with this mindset and let's get all men saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Almost all the signs for the second coming of Jesus have been fulfilled. Why has Jesus not come because he is waiting to receive His full harvest of all the souls He died and purchased with His blood. Which means we are the ones delaying His coming. Let us get our minds away from our selfish desires of living holy so that we can make it to heaven, living by faith so that we can receive all the best things of this life, living by grace so that we can live as we like, etc all at the expense of billions of sinners waiting to be saved or harvested. God is looking for labourers, He is not looking for harvest. The harvest is ripe waiting for the labourers. God is looking for those who will live for the harvest and He will give them the nations for their inheritance and all the ends of the earth for their possession. God bless you. 27. The spirit is superior to the flesh, the mind or the physical. The spiritual determine the physical. The flesh and mind or the physical has no power to rule over a living spirit. The flesh has no power to access the spirits or harm a spirit except the spirit allows him. Faith is superior to sin and death because faith is of the spirit. Sin and death or the flesh cannot rule over faith except the spirit allows it. No amount of the works of the flesh can harm, kill or destroy the spirit and faith except the spirit permits it. If only believers will have understanding of this spiritual secret they will never be afraid of the devil, evil spirits and witchcraft and all contrary physical circumstances. You are of the spirit, the devil, evil spirits, witches and all contrary circumstances are of the flesh. As long as as a believer, you walk by faith or live by faith or live in the spirit, no amount of the devil's actions and activities can hinder you rather as the scriptures says all things will work together for your good.

We see this truth in the life of Jesus and apostle Paul in 1Corinthians 2:7-8 (KJV) "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." And Philippians 1:12-14 (KJV) "But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; 13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; 14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear."

The spirit of the believer is far more powerful and stronger than the devil and all demons, witches and all the problems of this world put together. Hence the bible tell us that greater is he that is in our spirit than he and all that is in the world. Also the bible tells us that in terms of position and power, the spirit of the believer or the life of the believer is in Christ at the right hand of God in heavenly places far above all the kingdom of the devil. All that is in the world and of the world are of the flesh. Faith being of the spirit overcomes the world. The victory that overcomes the world is our faith. Nothing in this world can overcome the spirit and the faith of the believer except we permit it through unbelief of who we and what we have in Christ.

All living spirits live and operate in eternity not in time. But all dead spirits including the devil, evil spirits, demons, witches and all contrary situations in life are all under time and season and they operate only under the limitations of time and space. Time is subject to eternity. Time does not and cannot rule or dominate eternity. And times does not determine eternity, rather it is eternity that determines times and seasons. Every believer is an eternal being, who lives and walks in eternity. As living spirits, we have the power to determine what happens in time in our world. That is why at the judgement seat of Christ all believers will give account of what happened in their world while they were in the world. Every time you live by faith, you are walking in the spirit and in eternity and you are ruling over times and seasons and you are operating from heaven at the right hand of God in Christ Jesus. You are commanding all things in time to work together for your good. Walking by faith is living in the realm of God, living in heaven and walking according to the eternal plan of God. When you are in eternity why are you afraid of time and all the activities of the devil, demons, witches and the world that are all of time. It is only a matter of time for time and all its problems to work together for your good and then pass away, but you and eternity shall still remain forever. Eternity will always swallow up time just as the spirit has swallowed up the flesh, sin and death in Christ Jesus. God bless you. Ephesians 2:1-3 (KJV) "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others."

26. A spiritually dead spirit can believe but He cannot have faith. As long as under the law the human spirits were dead faith cannot be revealed. You cannot have faith in the flesh or in your mind, faith only takes place inside a living spirit. Therefore until the blood of Jesus regenerated and gave life to the spirits of men, faith could not be revealed. Just as the power of sin was destroyed by the removal of the law through the blood of Jesus, so also by the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, the power of death was destroyed, and death was abolished. Righteousness replaced sin and Immortality replaced mortality. Until death was destroyed and abolished, faith could not be revealed. Death having been abolished the spirits of men were now free from the bondage of death to receive the word of life and the word of faith. The bible says Hebrews 2:14-15 (KJV) Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Also, as long as the earth, the world and every human being were children of Adam and slaves of the devil, it was impossible for faith to be revealed. Faith belong to sons not for slaves. Faith is based on inheritance. When Jesus died and resurrected by so doing, He destroyed the power of sin, death and the devil and liberated all men and all things on earth from the bondage of the devil. By so doing also, Jesus as the last Adam took over the ownership, Lordship, power and dominion over the earth which the first Adam lost by high treason to the devil. Jesus being a son, all who believe in Him become sons like Him and receive the ability to have faith, live by faith and walk by faith. The devil has no faith and cannot have faith neither can his children have faith. The devil is a liar, there is no faith in lies or on a liar. But Jesus has faith and can give faith to all who hear Him. Jesus is the word of God. Hence faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

A dead spirit only works and walks through the flesh. A dead spirit cannot work or walk through the spirit. Which means a dead spirit can only contact the flesh, work through the flesh and walk in the flesh, he cannot contact the spirit. He has no capacity to contact the Spirit of God neither can God as a spirit be able to contact him. Also, a dead spirit cannot understand the word of God because the word is spirit and life. The devil, evil spirits and witches can never contact the spirit of men or work through the spirit of men. But they control the mind and the spirit of men through the flesh. The flesh has in bondage the mind and spirit of all unbelievers. The devil through the flesh has in bondage all spiritually dead, spirit, soul and body.

All spiritually dead spirits are no longer of the spirit but of the flesh. All spiritually dead spirits including the devil, the fallen angels and all demons cannot walk in the spirit or live in the spirit or work through the spirit. In fact they can never do anything spiritual, all their works are of the flesh. Hence the bible calls all the activities of the devil and evils spirits and witchcraft as works of the flesh. Galatians 5:19-21 (KJV) Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. A believer can be dominated by his flesh or carnality but he can never be dominated or be under the dominion of sin or the devil forever because of the finished work of Christ and the resurrection of Jesus. Just as the Israelites crossed the Red Sea and it was impossible for them again to be under the bondage of Egypt or Pharoah. While all unbelievers are slaves of sin, the flesh and the devil, all believers are now servants of righteousness, the spirit and Christ. God bless you. UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH IS. Part 25.

Hebrews 10:8-12, 14 (KJV) "Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;....14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."

25. Until Jesus came it was never said of anyone that he had faith, or was healed by faith, or saved by faith or delivered by faith. It was after Jesus the grace and the word of God came that people began to hear according to the hearing of faith. Only after Jesus the revealed grace and word of God was manifest that the spiritually dead began to hear according to the hearing of faith. The hearing of the ear or the hearing of the mind is not the hearing of faith. Only the hearing of the human spirit or the heart is called the hearing of faith. The hearing of faith is hearing with your spiritual ears. Only a living spirit can speak for a spiritually dead spirit to hear. Jesus was the first living spirit. John 5:24-25 (KJV) "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. 25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live." That was why Jesus said of Himself that He is the resurrection and the life.

From Adam to John the Baptist every human spirit was dead. Jesus was the first living spirit to preach the word of God. After the resurrection all believers become living spirits and that is why Christ has sent us also to preach to all dead human spirits because we are the only ones that can speak to their spirit and they will hear. There was no hearing of faith in the old testament because the word of God was preached by dead human spirits. The law was the spiritually dead ministering to the spiritually dead. The high priest was a spiritually dead mediating for the spiritually dead. Only a living person can raise the dead, a dead person cannot raise another dead person. A slave has no power to set a fellow slave free. Only the living can give birth to children. The spiritually dead cannot give birth to living spirits no matter how much power in their word. Hence there was no new birth in the old testament. A believer is greater than the greatest old testament saint because he is a living spirit, a son, he has faith, he has the capacity to give birth spiritually and he can speak in tongues, etc. No matter how spiritual they were in the old testament they could only give birth naturally.

Even though the law was holy and spiritual, the law could not remove sin because it was the dead trying to save the dead. The high priests under the law were dead spirits ministering for dead spirits. A dead spirit cannot minister to a living spirit. Only living spirits can minister to a dead spirit and only a living spirit can minister to a living spirit. God is a living spirit, so the high priests and the priests of the old testament could not minister truly acceptable sacrifices because they were dead spirits. Hence only the sacrifice of Jesus a living Spirit was pleasing to the Father. Jesus said in John 4:23-24 (KJV) "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Romans 8:1-6 (KJV) "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."

24. The Blood of Jesus Is The Price for The Revelation of Faith: The next reason why faith was not revealed in the old testament was because the blood of Jesus had not yet paid, purchased and redeemed all things. The old testament contained promises of what was to come not what is. Faith is not based on what is to come but in what is already yours. For example in Ephesians 1:3 (KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Note that the blessings here are in past tense, hence faith is always now ready to receive what the word has already provided. It was only after Jesus and His blood had fulfilled the law and had accomplished all things for us that we can now by faith receive all that are already ours in Christ.

Where there is sin there cannot be faith. Unbelief is the opposite of faith. Sin is the first son of unbelief. Where there is unbelief there will always be sin. Every sin begins with unbelief. Where there is no unbelief there will never be sin. Where there is no unbelief there is faith. As sin is the first son of unbelief, so righteousness is the first son of faith. Faith is the absence of sin. As long as there was sin in the world, faith cannot be revealed. Sin and faith don't go together but the law and sin go together. As long as the law caused sin to abound and made men sinners, it was impossible for faith to be revealed. But after the blood of Jesus came and removed sin permanently forever by fulfilling and setting aside the law, grace came, through grace faith was revealed and through faith righteousness was revealed. There cannot be a vacuum. Ephesians 2:8 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Romans 1:16-17 (KJV) "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

As long as the law and sin were present in the world the righteousness of God could not be revealed. Jesus had to die and by His blood to put an end to the law and sin so that righteousness can begin to reign in life through faith. Romans 5:12-13, 17, 20-21 (KJV) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.....17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.).....20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord."

The wages of sin is death. The law promoted not only sin but also death. Sin is of the flesh, death is also of the flesh. Grace is of the spirit, life is of the spirit. Faith is of the spirit. As long as all men were in sin and spiritually dead, faith cannot be revealed. Where there is death there is no faith because sin and death are one and same. As long as the law of sin and death was in operation on earth it was impossible for faith to be revealed. As long as all men were dead in Adam faith cannot be revealed. The dead have no faith, there is no faith in the land of the dead. Faith is only available for the living. After death comes judgement. As long as all men were spiritually dead, faith cannot be revealed. Dead spirits cannot have faith or live by faith or walk by faith. A dead spirit cannot even hear the word of God. By the resurrection of Jesus death was abolished. Now because of Christ there is life and the spirits of men can now hear according to the hearing of faith. Until Jesus rose from the dead and purchased salvation for all human spirits, there was no hearing of faith. Faith comes only by hearing. Where there is no hearing there is no faith. Romans 3:27-31 (KJV) "Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."

23. Like the case of the first Adam, God did all the work for five days and on the sixth day created man and handed over everything to him. So also now in this new creation God in Christ has done all the work and is calling us to enter into rest by faith and recieve all things. The preaching of the gospel is a call to all mankind to cease from all works of righteousness and the works of the flesh and come into rest in Christ Jesus.

Faith is a state of rest. In Christ Jesus all things are ours. Faith pleases God because it is an acknowledgement that Christ has done all the work and I am here to take that which Christ laboured for. It gives God and the Lord Jesus great pleasure to see us receive by faith and enjoy all that Jesus laboured for because neither God nor Jesus needs them. He got it all for us. Jesus got it all for us to rule and reign in life here and now. But unfortunately many believers are more interested in making it to heaven than living by faith here and enjoying heaven on earth.

Even though the law was not of faith the revelation of faith did not and does not make the law null and void rather faith working through love establishes that the law was good and spiritual in all divine intent. The Spirit of the law was based on divine love. The law coming from God was not evil and was not given to destroy man but the law was given so that man can come to the end of himself and seek God for Salvation. The law was to show man that there is nothing he can ever do of his own effort, righteousness and holiness that can save him or make him right with God. If the law had not come before the revelation of grace and faith, man would have felt he did not need a saviour that he was capable of working his way to please God.

Even now we still see many religions of men seeking to please God despite the law and the revelation of Christ. But the law by the failure of any man to keep it except Jesus, condemned everyone to death, which death Jesus died on our behalf in fulfillment of the law of sin and death. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we are indirectly admiting that the law failed to make us righteous or be acceptable to God. It is an acknowledgement that we could not keep the law and that we are taking refuge in Jesus Christ who had kept and fulfilled all the law on our behalf. Having accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour it is now an abomination for you to go back again to the law as a means of righteousness and holiness. Hence Paul said it amounted to nullifying all that Christ did for you. God bless you. UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH IS. Part 22.

Leviticus 26:2-4, 12, 14, 16 (KJV) "Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD. If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit......12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.....14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;....16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it."

22. The law was not of faith because it contained only promises of works and rewards. The promises and blessings of the law were conditional on their keeping the law before they will receive the promise or be blessed. If they did not keep the law they would be under a curse. Where there is works and reward there is no faith. Faith is not based on a reward system but based on a free gift of inheritance by grace. Before the coming of Jesus, faith was at work in the old testament only in types and shadows. For example, it is clearly stated in the law that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. The blood sacrifices were a type and shadow of the blood of Jesus which was to come. As many as believed that the blood sacrifices were enough for the remission of their sins it was accounted to them as righteousness or faith.

But if you think the blood is not enough that you have to keep the law and the ten commandments before your sins are forgiven then that is unbelief and unacceptable to God as faith or righteousness. In the keeping of the law and ten commandments there is no law or commandment that provides for the forgiveness of sins outside of the blood sacrifices. So once you don't have faith in the blood sacrifices or atonement your sins can never be forgiven. Through out the old testament God judged the Israelites more by the blood sacrifices than by any other law. They suffered oppression, bondage and went into captivity because of their abandonment of the blood sacrifices to God and instead made sacrifices to other gods. For whether old or new testament without faith in Christ it is impossible to please God.

Under the law no blessings were available for them freely for them to receive by faith except the blessings of Abraham in the flesh which is the circumcision and blessings of the animal sacrifices. That was why when they were in trouble the only thing God will remember in order to save them was the faith of Abraham and later the faith of David. At no time were they ever delivered because of the law. Instead it was the law that took them into captivity for seventy years and scattered them all over the world. Israel was saved by grace and faith in the Passover blood from the land of Egypt but many of them perished in the wilderness and in the promised land they went into captivity because of the law. They were trying to please God by the righteousness and holiness of keeping the law instead of faith in the blood sacrifices. The same warning is for all belivers today who want to be perfect through the law and many are in captivity because of it. Pleasing God, worshipping God and serving God, the bible says is from faith to faith, not faith to works. The promises and the blessings of God under the law were conditional on man's performance or obedience before a promise can be fulfilled or a blessing received. But under the grace of the new testament all the works, obedience and performance that was required for the fulfillment of all God promises and blessings in our lives were done perfectly by Christ. Christ did all the work and performance not for Himself but for us. As God He did not and does not need any of those promises and blessings. As a result all that is required for us is to believe and receive all the the promises and blessings that Christ has purchased for us with His own blood by faith. God bless you. Romans 7:12-14 (KJV) "Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin."

21. Even though the law was holy and spiritual, the law could not make people holy because that was not it's purpose. Also even though the law was spiritual the could not make people spiritual because that was not it's purpose. Because the law was not intended to make sinners holy and spiritual therefore the law lacked the power and authority to make any man holy and spiritual. Men did not become unholy and unspiritual because they broke any law. All men in Adam became unholy and spiritually dead because of the unbelief and disobedience of Adam. Adam whom God made the god of this world, by believing and obeying the words of the devil, he made the devil who is unholy and spiritually dead his god and lord. As a result the devil became the god of this world.

But by faith we become spiritually alive again and are recreated a new man in Christ who came as the new and last Adam. All who believe in Him makes Him their Lord and Saviour instead of the devil. As the last Adam, Jesus by His death paid the full prize for the sin of the first Adam. Having done that, He has replaced the first Adam and has legally redeemed all men from the first Adam and from the godship and power of the devil. The devil's power and authority on earth and over men was based on the first Adam. Jesus having legally and officially replaced the first Adam, He has dethroned and destroyed all the power and authority of the devil on earth. All who are in Christ Jesus are now born again both righteous and holy and are no longer under the sin, death and the power of the devil. The law was added by God to show all men that they were sinners and that there is nothing they can do in this world that can ever make them righteous or holy before God or free them from the power of sin, death and the devil. Only hearing the word (Jesus) and believing the word of God or faith in the word of God (Jesus) can make you righteous before God. The Jews missed it because they put holiness ahead of righteousness. Through the law they were trying to be righteous by living very holy and blameless lives. God is first righteous before He is holy. It is His righteousness that makes Him holy. The believer is born first righteous, then holy according to Ephesians 4:24.

The law made men dependent on their works of righteousness instead of depending on the righteousness of God. Under the law people accounted themselves righteous and holy according their measure of obedience to the law instead of faith in the righteousness of God. As holy and blameless as the Pharisees were, when the word of God came to them they rejected it in unbelief. Zachariah who was described as holy and blameless doubted the word but Mary who was but a young virgin, unlearned in the law, who was not described as holy and blameless believed the word of God and pleased God. Even Paul who was also a holy and blameless Pharisee was the chief persecutor of the word of God until Jesus personally appeared to him before he could believe. Meanwhile the publicans, Samaritans and sinners believed the word and secured righteousness freely without works both in the ministry of Jesus and the apostles.

Even though the law was spiritual but it did not and could not minister to the spirits of men. The law only ministered to the flesh and minds of men. The law even though it was spiritual had no power to access or relate with the spirits of men because the spirits of men were dead. So the law could only relate with the minds and flesh of men. So the law being holy and spiritual was making holy and spiritual demands on the flesh and minds of spiritually dead men. Unfortunately they that are in the flesh can never be holy or spiritual. As the bible says Romans 8:3-8 (KJV) "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."

So instead of the law producing spirituality in man it produced sin and magnified the sin nature in man through the flesh. The more man tried through the flesh to serve and please God the more sins he found himself committing. God is a spirit you cannot relate with him or please him or serve him through your mind or your flesh. Every time men tried to serve God with their mind and flesh all their actions will be sinful before God. They that are in the flesh can never please God. UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH IS. Part 20.

Hebrews 7:19 (KJV) "For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God."

20. The law was added to make sin sinful but had no answer for sin. When Jesus was crucified He took on Him all our sins, became sin and died. Thus fulfilling the law. The wages of sin is death, but for the fact that Jesus rose from the dead, He conquered sin, death and the law of sin and death. With His abolition of the law of sin and death by His resurrection, sin and death has lost their power and authority over man. With sin conquered, death was abolished and the law lost its power and relevance.

Remember also that when Jesus died, we died with Him and when He rose from the dead we rose together with Him and in Him. In Christ Jesus who is our life, we have overcome sin forever. By the resurrection of Jesus, Jesus became free from the law together with all who believe in Him. There is no sin in Christ, there is no sin in the new life or eternal life. Sin no longer has dominion over us because we are under the grace of eternal life in Christ. Where there is no record of sin there is no law and where there is no law there is no record of sin. Love, faith and the Spirit have prevailed.

The law promotes sin, it never and can never produce righteousness hence Paul called the practice of seeking perfection through the law after you are saved as witchcraft, and sinning willfully or committing sin willfully. It is putting yourself back into the bondage that Christ had made you free. The law was not of faith and whatever is not of faith is sin. Living by the law is same as living in sin. You cannot live by the law and by faith at the same time. This is the error of those who after being saved by Christ go back to try to keep the ten commandments. Such a person is saying Christ is not enough for my salvation, cleansing and perfection, I need to add my own good works or self righteousness. It amounts to rejection of Christ, His blood, His grace, faith, love and righteousness. It is the same doctrine that is being promoted today by some Christian denominations and a certain religion in Asia.

The priesthood of the law and the priesthood of Christ are different they can't be mixed together, it is a spiritual confusion. While the law was under the levitical or Aaronic priesthood, the new covenant is under a greater priesthood after the order of Melchisedec. Two priesthoods cannot function at the time. Two high priests cannot function at the same time. There is always only one high priest and one temple. Only one high priest has access to the Holy of holiest. The mosaic law and mosaic covenant produced sin and death, therefore their high priests were subject to deaths and changes. Galatians 2:16, 18-19, 21 (KJV) "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified..... For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor......For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.......I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."

19. The law can make men righteous and holy only before the eyes of fellow men but not before God. God's standard of righteousness and holiness can never be attained by any fallen man, only a man from heaven who knows God personally and has lived with God from the beginning can live and meet God's standard of righteousness and holiness as Christ did. So God's plan was that what the devil intended for evil God turned it around for the good of man and for God's glory. As the devil through one man Adam made all men sinners without their committing any sin, so also God through the righteousness of one man Jesus wants to make all men righteous without their doing anything righteous or holy.

So the law was never given by God as a path for attaining righteousness or holiness rather it was to stop all men from seeking self righteousness and instead embrace the free gift of grace and righteousness by faith. So anyone calling himself righteous or holy because of his own decisions and actions has not submitted himself to the free gift of the righteousness of God. Men, just like the devil because of pride will want to earn and measure their righteousness and compare themselves with themselves which is wrong. Christ is the only standard of measurement of all things. Through grace and faith, God has put us in Christ and made us one in Christ so that we share all the measure of Christ in Him not of ourselves.

The measure of the righteousness of God which we received in Christ Jesus when we became born again, is instant, constant and unchanging. It cannot be diminished, it cannot be increased by any human actions or decisions. The only difference is in the fruit of righteousness which we are supposed to bear. The fruit of righteousness is the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, and temperance, all otherwise called holiness. They are called fruit singular because they produce just one thing holiness. In the same vein, in Adam all sinners are sinners, all unrighteous are unrighteous not by their actions or decisions but by their nature in Adam. The only difference is the measure of the works of unrighteousness or the works of the flesh.

Most people want to bring back the law upon believers so that they can have a yardstick of measuring righteousness and holiness among themselves, and so that they can pride themselves as being more righteous or more holy than others. As in Adam we were born into this world with the sin nature of Adam with no one having more sin nature than others, so also by faith in Christ when we are born again we are born of God, by God and having all the righteous and Holy nature of God regardless of what we look like in the physical. In Adam regardless of how righteous and holy you look according to the law, on the inside you are a sinner, unrighteous and lawless before God.

Man is a spirit, that has a soul and lives in a body. Who he is at every point in time is what he is in his spirit alone, not what he is in his soul or his body. While his soul is his vehicle for navigation on earth, his body is only the house where he lives here on earth. He contacts God his Maker only through his spirit and God contacts him only through his spirit, not his soul or his body. There are many decisions and actions we carry out daily with our soul and our body that are so good that many of us think we are doing it to please God. God is a spirit not a soul, not a body. Only what comes out of your spirit can please God. In Christ Jesus we received the love nature and the faith nature of God so that we can please Him. 18. Jesus fulfilled the law not for Himself but for all men. So when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour it means we died with Him, were buried with Him and resurrected with Him. Which means that every believer, in Christ fulfilled the law with Christ and in Christ and are risen with Him, justified with Him and in Him and have become the righteousness of God in Him. Therefore, we are qualified to receive all the promises and blessings of God in Christ Jesus. As believers we are born again, we are spirit being in the exact image and likeness of God, and we are sons of the love of God and this love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts. Since we are spirit beings and the love of God in Christ Jesus, we have fulfilled the law and no longer slaves or servants of the law.

When the purpose of a thing is fulfilled you don't go back to it again. The purpose of the law was not to save men through it, or to make men holy or righteous through it or a means of serving God or a divine standard of righteous and Holy living or how God demands all men to live. No. The law was not part of the promise of God to Abraham our father but an addition for the purpose of silencing all men who desire to be saved through the law or become holy or righteous through it or a means of serving God or a divine standard of righteous and Holy living or how God demands all men to live. The law proved that all men are liars only God is true. All through the bible apart from Jesus, God never expressed pleasure in anyone for keeping the law. No man was able to please God through the law.

But in the new testament we see numerous people across the bible that pleased God by faith. As a result, God's purpose of giving the law was fulfilled. The purpose of the law had to be fulfilled for the free gift of the grace of the promises and blessings of God to made freely available to all without the law but through faith. Faith is the only means we can access what Christ has done for us because it is not a physical thing but a spiritual thing. Faith like love is of the spirit. Faith works by love so it is only by faith that we can become the love of God and spirit beings like God. This faith is also a free gift from God because we get it not by keeping the law but by hearing the promises and blessings of God in Christ Jesus just as Abraham our father did without the law. The Law was Not of Faith because it Was Not Fulfilled And No Man Had the Ability to Fulfill It: The preconditions and regulations of the law were impossible for any spiritually dead man to fulfill. And God never gave the law to men for them to fulfill it, but for them to come to the and of all their efforts so that they can cry to God for help and salvation, then God will send the messiah His son Jesus to deliver them. Jesus fulfilled all the righteous demands of the law which is death for all sinners. Having done that He set it aside since from the beginning the law was only an addition. The law was an addition in the book of Exodus after God's promise to Abraham in the book of Genesis. The law was added after the promise not to nullify the promise nor to make the law a condition for the fulfilment of the promise as some have turned the law to be.

The law was added to reveal to men that they were sinners and that as sinners they can never do anything to earn the promise or receive the promise. The laws was added to show all men that they were sinners and unrighteous before God and that there is no law or commandments or rules and regulations they can ever be able to keep to make them holy before God or please God. In other words by the law no one can ever please God. It takes only the fulfilment of the law to be able to please God through the law. Only love has the capacity and power to fulfill the law. God is love. God is a spirit. Love is of the spirit. In other words only a person of the Spirit can fulfill the law. No child of Adam is of the spirit but of the flesh. Hence God as a spirit had to come down and take on humanity in the person of Jesus. Romans 13:8-10 (KJV) "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law."

God is love, God is a spirit. Love is only able to fulfill the law because love is longsuffering towards men, love covers multitude of sins and love keeps no record of sins. Meanwhile the law demanded instant judgement, could not cover sin and kept all records of their sins. Jesus came as the love of God and as a spirit in human flesh. Jesus is the manifestation and demonstration of the love of God and as God Himself in human flesh. John 3:16 (KJV) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 14:7, 9 (KJV) "If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him...... he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;" No son of Adam is love personified and God personified. It takes only keeping all the law and not failing in one all through out your lifetime to be able to fulfill the law. No law breaker is qualified to fulfill the law. No man before Christ or outside Christ is qualified to fulfill the law. Only Christ and and all who are in Him have fulfilled the law.

Christ fulfilled the law when in love He died spiritually and physical for all men as the last Adam. He was resurrected from the dead as evidence that He had successfully fulfilled the law. If He had died without the resurrection the law would have continued. Under the law the death of a sinner was never sufficient fulfillment of the law in his life as the law continues to visit his iniquity up to his fourth generation after him. But the resurrection of Jesus was divine evidence that Jesus had met all the judicial requirements of the law. As a result, the law had no more power and authority over Him and all that are in Him. By the resurrection, Jesus was justified and was declared not only righteous but he became the righteousness of God personified.

As the justification and righteousness of God personified He has become the only way to being justified and made righteous before God. No longer by the law or through the law. Under the law God was not righteous and justified to call any human being His son because they were all sinners by nature and neither was anyone qualified to receive and enjoy the true riches and blessings of God which are now available to us in Christ Jesus. God is a spirit, His true blessings and inheritance for His sons are not of this world but spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. A sinner cannot be a child of God. God bless you. 1Timothy 1:8-10 (KJV) "But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;"

16. The Law Imputes Sin On People: The law was not of faith because it imputed sin on people. Romans 5:13 (KJV) "(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law." 1Corinthians 15:56 (KJV) "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law." Until the law came God did not account sins unto men. The law was a record keeper of the sins and transgressions of men. Before the law, God who is love kept no record of wrongs of men, men suffered for their sins only according to the natural law of sowing and reaping. When the law came it credited, counted and imputed the sins of men upon them. As a result for the first time men became sinners before God. The law kept and constantly brought before God the record of the sins of men which consistently provoked God's wrath and judgement.

Instead of the longsuffering of the law of sowing and reaping, the law demanded instant judgement and death for all sinners. This was what accounted for the frequent divine wrath and judgement on the Israelites especially in the wilderness. There was no sin the Israelites committed in the wilderness that was new or that is not being committed by other nations of the earth at that time. God did not judge other nations as He did to Israel because the law was given only to Israel. So the law constantly brought the record of the sins of Israel daily before God. If not for His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the intercession of Moses and the daily blood sacrifices of the levites and priests that appeased God's anger, He would have wiped them out as the law demanded.

Where there is no law there is no sin or transgression. The law instead of bringing righteousness magnified sin, the knowledge of sin and lawlessness. Romans 3:20 (KJV) "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin." The law by increasing the knowledge of sin increased sin. The law increased sin because breaking of one law makes one a breaker of all the laws. Also every attempt of men to be righteous and holy through the law was a step further into sin and sin upon sin. Hence the law made men slaves of sin and unrighteousness but faith makes men servants of righteousness and holiness. While the law made men sinners and unrighteous, faith makes men righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:24 (KJV) "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."

While the law imputed sin on men, faith before the law credited men with righteousness and after the law in the new covenant faith now makes men the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. While the law counted and kept record of the sins of men but faith working by love keeps no record of the sins of men but cancels them because of the blood of Jesus. 2Corinthians 5:19, 21 (KJV) "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.......21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." So we see that the law was totally contrary to faith and the love of God. The law was man trying to seek and please God with all his might but faith is God seeking men who will accept and believe His word only just like Abraham. God bless you. 15. The Law Lacked The Cleansing Power to Make The Unrighteous Righteous: Again, the law was not of faith because it could not make the unrighteous to become righteous. The work of cleansing and perfecting of the believer is Christ's responsibility through His word alone and not through the law. The word cleanses through the spirit but the law cleanses through the flesh. Man is a spirit not a flesh. The word cleanses through the hearing of faith but the law seeks to cleanse through works. Cleansing through the word is Christ Himself personally doing the cleansing. Christ is the word of God. Whatever the word does it is Christ that is doing it. The word of God is the Spirit of Christ. Christ has placed in His Church the ministry offices for the perfecting of the body of Christ through the teaching of His word. And He has also put His Spirit inside every believer to lead and to guide us in all things. In the new covenant we are born of the word, saved by the word, healed by the word, set free by the word and we have all our inheritance and possession in the word.

The word is written in our hearts and in our spirits. As a result, we don't need the ten commandments to know when we sin. Our spirit, our hearts and our conscience are there to remind us of the law and convict us to repent if we sin as part of the cleansing power of the word through our spirit. In the new covenant, we are led by the Spirit not by the keeping of the law. The law is grossly inadequate to produce righteousness and holiness. Under the law many lived in sin without knowing it. For example Jesus said that fornication is not in the act but in the thought and intent of the heart. This the law did not cover. So compared to the standard of the Spirit, the law was grossly inadequate to meet God's standard of righteousness and holiness which only the word and the Spirit are able to do through faith. The law could only see sin physically and warn you but the Spirit can see sin, evil and unrighteousness minutes, hours, days and years ahead and warn you and help you to overcome them now. The law told you you are a sinner but it had no power to help you overcome sin. So under the law even though people knew they were sinners yet nothing could be done by the law to help them. So the law kept men in perpetual guilt of their sins, condemnation and death. But the Spirit through the victory of Jesus gave men power, authority and dominion over sin and death.

The bible also emphasizes this responsibility of Christ cleansing and perfecting His church through the word in Ephesians 5:25-27 (KJV) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even when we sin it is the word that cleanses us from all unrighteousness through the blood. Jesus is the word made flesh. As a man with flesh and blood He was also the word of God. The life of the flesh is in the blood. When Jesus shed His blood as a man for the sins of all men, He was giving His life for all. So both the shedding of His blood and the giving of His life were the word at work. The blood is only a means the word used for the forgiveness of our sin, just as the word used the stripes of Jesus for our healing.

One thing we must know is that this issue of bringing back the law as a means of perfection did not start today but right from the days of the early church when the Jewish converts were pushing for this all across the world. This heresy or false doctrine was the biggest challenge apostle Paul and the early church faced that even led to the death of most of the apostles. The law is of the flesh and the word is of the spirit. You cannot begin in the spirit and use the flesh to perfect the spirit. It is like using the devil to perfect a believer. The flesh and the Spirit are enemies and eternally contrary to one another.

Apostle Paul writing to the Galatians on this practice called it witchcraft and to the Hebrews he called it apostasy. Galatians 3:1-3 (KJV) "O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?"
Hebrews 10:26-31 (KJV) "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. 1Timothy 1:8-10 (KJV) "But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;"

14. The Law Was Not Made For the Righteous: Another reason why the law was not of faith is that it was not made for the righteous. The bible says the law came through Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus. While the law was made for sinners grace and truth was given for the righteous and for righteousness. The law condemned men to death but grace gives men eternal life. Jesus came to keep all the laws and fulfill them so that man can be set free from the bondage of the law which is sin and death. In 2Corinthians 5:19-21 Jesus became sin so that all men can be righteous by the hearing of faith.

The law says you have to do something to please God but grace says you don't have to anything just believe that Jesus has done everything for you and you will become righteous. Under the law every sin is recorded against you but under grace sin is not recorded because of the blood of Jesus. But in this life sin will hinder you and you will suffer the consequences and could even lead to premature death. Through the condemnation of our spirit when we sin, God expects us to judge ourselves and by confessing our sins and we shall be cleansed from all unrighteousness. Under the law you have to repent and forsake before forgiveness. Under grace we receive forgiveness the same way we receive salvation.

God is love and love keeps no record of sin. Jesus came in love and love keeps no record of sins. We saw this in His earthly ministry. When we believe God and walk by faith, all our sins are forgiven because faith works by love. But when we refuse to walk by faith our sins will work against against us. That is why whatever is not of faith is sin. To reject faith is to reject grace, to reject grace is to reject the mercy of God, to reject the mercy God through Christ is to reject the love of God. Sin cannot have dominion over you because you are under grace, but whoever is under the law shall be dominated by sin. It is only by faith we can access the love of God. When we walk by faith we are walking in love towards God. In love there is always mercy, compassion and grace. Without faith it is impossible to love God. Without faith it is impossible to receive the mercy and grace of God. Israel faced constant divine judgement under the law because the law was not of faith therefore had no mercy and grace provisions. You cannot love God by your physical good actions, or by obeying the law, we love God by faith in His word. Only what we do by faith pleases God. The law was not of faith because it lacked the grace, mercy and love of God.

The law was made for sinners and for the unrighteous. The law was not made for the righteous and holy. Jesus came to terminate sin and all unrighteousness by His taken on sin and becoming an embodiment of sin and all unrighteousness. The end of all sin and unrighteousness is death. When Jesus died the death of sinners and the unrighteous He paid the full penalty for all sins and unrighteousness as demanded by the law. The law was made for sinners and the unrighteousness to know they deserve to die for their sins and unrighteousness. Hence the knowledge of the law was the same as the knowledge of sin and death. So instead of the law promoting righteousness it promoted sin and death. The law is not for the believer or Christian today because we are the children of faith and we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The law was not made for the righteous.

When Jesus became sin and death He therefore fulfilled all the righteous demand of the law and the purpose of the law. When the purpose of a thing has been fulfilled it is finished. Thus Jesus became the end of the law for righteousness and life to begin to reign in life through Him just as sin and death reigned through Adam. So it is spiritually and scripturally wrong to put believers who are born righteous and holy by nature, under the law. A believer is not a sinner neither is he an unrighteous person. No matter the level of sin or unrighteousness that may be going on in his life you cannot call him a sinner or an unrighteous person because Jesus is his life, he has no life of his own, his life is hid in Christ.

So no matter the sins and unrighteousness in the church or in the world that should never warrant anyone or denomination to bring back the law. In the old testament the law failed to stop sin and you think it is in the new testament that the law will now produce righteousness in the lives of men. In fact such act of introduction of the law in any form is a trampling on the blood of Jesus as insufficient, incomplete and incompetent to do the work of salvation, cleansing and perfection of the saints. 13. Even though the law was spiritual but it was not of the Spirit hence it could not produce faith and righteousness. Faith and righteousness are of the spirit. Even though the devil and evil spirits are spirits beings and carry out spiritual activities yet all their activities are not of the spirit but the works of the flesh because they are dead spirits. Only living spirits in Christ can carry out true spiritual activities. As believers we are living spirits as a result we have unequivocal authority over all dead spirits just as a living person has authority over a dead person. Also even though by faith Jesus the lamb of God had been slain in the spirit realm from the foundation of the world but because He was coming to fulfill the law He had to come physically and live under the law, subject to the law, sentenced to death and died under the law physically for all to see, feel and touch in the flesh. As evidence to all creation so that on the day of judgement no one has excuse.

Having fulfilled the law the lamb went back to its normal spirit state in heaven as the new man in order to bring and restore the reign of the spirit that Adam lost, so that righteousness can once again begin to reign through faith. Righteousness is a spiritual state not a physical or natural state. Under the law righteousness was physical and natural based on physical observation of the law. But in the new testament righteousness is of the heart and spirit by faith. Jesus fulfillment of the law brought an end to all human activities and actions aimed at trying to please or appease God. As the bible says Romans 10:4 (KJV) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Faith in Christ is now the only means of pleasing God.

Faith and righteousness comes only by hearing and believing because it is an acknowledgement that God in Christ did all the work, I only heard and believed. All the blessings and promises of God in Christ are all in past tense because God had done all, therefore all I need to do is to hear it and believe it. But the devil, challenges of life and the patience of time will do their best to tell you it is not true. Hence challenges are called the trials of our faith. Faith and righteousness is standing steadfast in the promises and blessings which you have heard and believed despite all the contrary evidence. Faith and righteousness is not trying to do anything physical to appease and please God to fulfill His promises for you. It is only in the hearing of faith and righteousness that our sins are forgiven not in any other actions.

Forgiveness and righteousness only comes by faith, hence we are only required to confess our sins and they are forgiven. Believing what you see, what you feel and what is happening around you is not faith and righteousness. Many believers are trying to do many things physically to get God's attention instead of spending more time hearing the word to increase their faith. It is the one that has more faith that gets God's attention not the one that is very good, nice, gentle, highly gifted, great worker in the vineyard, consistent tither, holy or very committed member of the church, etc. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Whatever is not of faith is sin before God not matter how good in the eyes of men. God bless you. 12. Jesus is the word of God. Whether in the old testament, under the law or in the new testament, believing the word is believing in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Remember the bible says in Revelation 13:8 that Jesus the lamb of God was slain from the foundation of the world. And also the bible says we were in Him before the world began in Ephesians 1:4-5 (KJV) "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will," So every time one hears the word and believes it, the blood of Jesus cleanses him from all unrighteousness and he is immediately made righteous. Every time you hear and believe the word it is an acknowledgement and acceptance that Jesus died for you and is now the Lord and Saviour of your life.

This was how the old testament saints and those in the days of the ministry of Jesus were accounted righteous in advance. Even David in the old testament knew this hence he walked in it and was called a man after God's heart, in other words a man after God's righteousness. Jesus never demanded righteousness from anyone nor the obedience of the law but faith in Him and in His teachings. It was only unbelief in Him or His teachings that hindered people from receiving from Him. Jesus knew that whether old or new testament only faith in the word of God is what makes a man righteous before God to receive anything from Him. Works is what makes men righteous before each other. Faith in Jesus and His blood is the only means of righteousness whether old or new testament. God expected the Jews under the law to obtain righteousness through the Passover blood or the atonement not by observance and keeping of the law. Hence the bible says Romans 10:1-3 (KJV) "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."

Where there is faith there is righteousness because of the propitiatory work of the blood of Jesus from the foundation of the world. Faith in the word is faith in Jesus and faith in His blood. The faith of uncircumcised Naaman in 2Kings 5:9-14 wiped out all his sins against God and against Israel. Jesus healed the impotent man who was suffering because of his sins in John 5:1-14 without asking him to confess his sins, he only demanded faith from him. In Mark 2:1-12 by the faith of the paralytic man his sins were forgiven and he was healed. This also shows us that where there is faith, there is not only righteousness but healing and health also. When we walk by faith we become righteous and qualified to receive anything from God. When we walk by faith all things are ours because it is based on inheritance.

Unlike the law that was conditional on works. Exodus 15:26 (KJV) And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee." Exodus 23:25-26 (KJV) "And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. 26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil." The only condition in the new testament is faith and love. Faith works by love. God wants us to walk by faith and live by faith all the time because that is the only way we live an acceptable righteous and holy lives unto God. And that is the only condition that guarantees us all the promises and blessings of God. Whatever is not of faith is sin. Whatever is not of faith is unrighteous and unholy no matter how good and holy in the eyes of men. God bless you. Romans 10:3-4, 6, 8 (KJV) "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.......6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above.....8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;"

11. The Law and Righteousness: The law was not of faith because it could not produce righteousness. What matters to God is righteousness whether it is in the days of Abraham or the days of the law or the new covenant. Righteousness means right standing with God or standing with God or taking sides with God. Unrighteousness is taking sides against God, standing against God, or standing with the devil which was what Adam did. The word of God is God. The word of God is the only revelation of God that we have. No man has seen God. So in other words, righteousness is right standing with the word of God or standing with the word of God or taking sides with the word of God or believing the word of God. Unrighteousness is taking sides against the word, doubting the word of God, unbelief of the word of God, standing against the word of God or rejection of the word of God. Adam fell because he believed the words of the devil against the word of God.

Unbelief, doubting or rejection of the word is believing the words of the devil. Righteousness is believing and standing with the word of God regardless of what you can see, what you can feel, what you can do or what is happening. Unrighteousness is believing what you can see, what you can feel, what you can do, what people are saying or what is happening above what the word of God is saying. Righteousness is not in doing good or being good or being fair to all. God only wants to be believed, not what you can do for Him or what is happening or what you can see. What the word is saying is the only truth, every other evidence is a lie. Believing the word is saying that God is right and righteous. Unbelief of the word is saying that God is wrong and unrighteous.

Jesus is the word made flesh and the living word. In other words Jesus is the righteousness of God personified. Jesus is the righteousness of God. Which means righteousness is a person, not works, actions or rewards. The law failed to produce righteousness because it was seeking righteousness by the works and actions of men. The word of God is the only revelation of the righteousness of God. In the old testament righteousness was credited to Abraham simply by him hearing the promise of God and believing it. In the new testament we are saved by hearing the gospel of Jesus believing it in our heart and confessing Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. This is called the righteousness of faith in Christ and we are expected to live by same righteousness of faith as we hear all the promises and blessings of God in Christ Jesus in the bible.

The bible says Abraham believed God and it was credit to him for righteousness. The law was not given to them to believe hence it could not produce righteousness. The law was given to them to do and to observe they were not to believe. Because the law was focused on doing, it could not produce faith or the hearing of faith. Only hearing and believing produces faith and only faith produces righteousness and only righteousness of faith guarantees all the promises and blessings of God. Just as Abraham heard the promise and believed and was accounted righteousness. You cannot have faith by doing nor righteousness by doing but only by the hearing of faith. The word of God is spirit and intangible. The Spirit is like the wind intangible. Faith and righteousness are of the word and Spirit and thus are also intangible. But the law and its works are tangible and therefore of the flesh. Faith and righteousness are based on the intangible evidence of the word of God but the law was based on the tangible evidence of doing and observing the law. God bless you. 2Corinthians 3:3-4, 6-9 (KJV) "Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:..... 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory."

10. According to this scripture in 2Corinthians 3:3-4,6-9, the law could not be written in the hearts of men but on tablets of stones. Being on stones it hardened the heart of the people instead of producing meekness and repentance. Being in stones which had no life, the law had no ability to produce Godly repentance in the people as it was unable to access the spirit and the minds of men. In the new testament, the word became flesh, took on humanity and being a spirit being, it was able to penetrate man, spirit, soul and body transforming all who believe into the likeness of Himself the word in human flesh. The word became flesh to make all flesh become like the word. By this all who believe become one with Him and in Him.

The word became a living word to give life to all flesh. The word as a spirit can now access the spirit of men to produce faith in the heart of all who hear the word. The law being on stones was incompatible to the human nature. The law turned the hearts of men to hearts of stone but the living word came and was able to relate to man and produce divine change, spirit to spirit, heart to heart, soul to soul, flesh to flesh. This was the essence of the new covenant. Apart from the law being written on tablets of stones, the temple where these tablets of stone were kept, was also built with stones. But in the new covenant humans beings with flesh and blood are now the temple of God, having also hearts of flesh instead of stony hearts.

The law was written with ink but the word of faith is written with the Spirit of the living God. While the law was the means of ministration in the old testament but faith is the means of ministration of the new testament. While the law was physically written letters but the new covenant is written by the Spirit in the hearts of men. The law being mere letters killed and produced death in the people but faith gives life through the spirit. The law was the ministration of death which had a glory that was temporary and fading. But the ministration of faith in the spirit carries eternal glory. In 2Corinthians 3:9 the law is called the ministration of condemnation but faith is called the ministration of righteousness. It was these weaknesses of the law that made it a necessity for a new covenant. With the law ministering sin and death God would have eventually destroyed all men as he did in the days of Noah as it was impossible for anyone to be save through the law.

9. The law, wrath, curses and judgement go together. Faith promises and blessings go together. Galatians 3:10-14 (KJV) "For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." Romans 4:15 (KJV) "Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression."

Faith does not operate under an environment of curses. Faith operates only where blessings are at work. And blessings are only in manifestation where faith is at work. While we were yet sinners Christ died, redeemed us and made the blessings of God available to all. When we become saved by faith, these blessings immediately become ours by inheritance in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 1:3 (KJV) "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" It was therefore impossible for faith to have come under the law being an era of divine curses, wrath and judgement.

The law promoted vengeance and judgement being under the law of sin and death. Under the law, not only was divine vengeance permitted but human vengeance and judgement was permitted. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. But faith is neither vengeful not judgemental. Faith works by love, not by the law. Faith is patient, full of grace and mercy. Faith only operates where there is love, not where there is law. By the revelation of faith, the law of sin and death, wrath, curses, vengeance and judgement were abolished. All these are of the works of the flesh as found in Galatians 5:19-20. So whoever is walking under the law of sin and death, wrath, curses, vengeance and judgement are walking in the flesh. The law of sin and death has been abolished by Christ, so it is wrong to wish or pray to God to kill someone because he committed a sin or sins against you.

It is unbelief, fear and lack of faith for a believer to pray for someone to die because he committed one sin or another against you. We are to relate with all men according to the law of the Spirit no matter what they have done or are doing against us. Christ died for all, for all sins and for all sinners. It is sinful and of evil heart not to forgive someone that God in Christ Jesus had already forgiven. The law of love is the law of the Spirit. Love is longsuffering and keeps no record of wrongs. Faith works by love. Hence also faith keeps no record of wrong nor does faith harbour unforgiveness. Faith never works where there is unforgiveness or vengeance. If you are invoking the law of sin and death on anyone you are walking in the flesh and you shall reap corruption which is death. If you sow life you shall reap life, if you sow death you shall reap death. It is the devil that is spreading these teachings enticing believers to steal people's lives, kill people and destroy unbelievers so that they will not be saved. 8. The old testament law or the laws of the flesh are not operational in heaven. God or the angels or the saints in heaven do not need the laws of the flesh to live by. But they are all living by the law of the Spirit of life. The law of the Spirit is the law of God, the law of heaven, angels and all saints both on earth and in heaven. All the spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus that God has blessed us are all based on the law of the Spirit of life. God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit live inside every believer because the life we have inside us is the same as the life of heaven where God dwells.
They that live according to the old testament law or the laws of the flesh do not have the life of God in them, they can never please God and can never make it to heaven. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Romans 8:5-8 (KJV) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. The bible also says Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Faith and the law are widely apart and cannot work together. The life of the faith and the life of the Spirit is rest. When you live by faith you have entered into Sabbath rest. There is no sabbath day in the spirit or in heaven for God to keep, for in the spirit there is no time or days. Faith being of the spirit lives above time and is not bound by time. The law being of the flesh is full of observance of special days, times and seasons. Every believer is a citizen of heaven, so we are only guided by the law of heaven, not the law of the earth. God judges the believer only according to how he walks and lives in the law of Spirit or the law of heaven. If he steals, lies or commit sexual immorality, etc God will not judge him according to the law of sin and death but according to the law of the Spirit which is love.
Love is longsuffering while waiting for you to judge yourself. But if you fail to judge yourself God will judge you by handing you over to the devil for the destruction of the flesh which is sickness and or untimely death so that the believer can be saved on the last day. In the sight of God and in the Spirit there is only one law which is the law of love. But because the believer is still on earth and has the flesh in his body he will reap or suffer corruption in the flesh when he sins. He will suffer failures, demonic oppression, sickness, poverty and even premature death if he fails to judge himself and repent of his sins as a believer. 7. On the other hand all the laws of the new covenant are laws of the Spirit. The law of love, mercy, grace, faith, righteousness, etc are all laws of the Spirit. They are called laws of the Spirit because they come from the Spirit and the heart of God. They are the virtues of God. God is a Spirit. These laws always work together and are interdependent on one another because in the spirit there no time or space. For example wherever you find love, you will find mercy, grace and faith at work at the same time. God is love and out of love flows all these virtues. Wherever God is speaking or working you will find all these virtues at work always overtly or covertly. They are laws that target and demand obedience of faith from our spirit and our hearts.

The laws of the Spirit are the life, nature and character of God. Hence the law of the Spirit is aimed at giving us freely by faith the life, nature and character of God. It's main purpose is to make us sons of God in the full image and likeness of God. Unlike the law in the old testament that made the Jews servants and slaves unto God. The laws of the spirit are laws of the character and holiness of God. They are laws that produce divine nature in man. In the life of the believer they are expression of our divine nature that we are born of God after His image and likeness. They are laws which God Himself lives by because they are based on His word. The laws of the spirit are laws that transcends time, they are eternal and are operational in all realms, heaven, earth and under the earth. While the laws of the flesh produced the works of the flesh, the laws of the spirit produces the fruit of the Spirit.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH IS. Part 6

Galatians 3:22-26 (KJV) "But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

6. The Law Was Not Of Faith: Galatians 3:12 (KJV) "And the law is not of faith: but, the man that doeth them shall live in them." The third reason why faith was not revealed in the old testament is that the law was not of faith and could not produce or generate faith in the heart of the hearers of the law. The law was not of the Spirit but of the flesh even though it was spiritual. Faith is of the Spirit and of the heart. The law was unable to access the human spirit or the human heart so could only minister to the flesh. The law was incapable of giving life to the human spirit. But when faith came it regenerated and gave a new life to the human spirit. This born again human spirit has the God kind of life.
The Spirit and the flesh are eternal enemies. Hence instead of the law making the people spiritual it made them more and more sinful. Instead of producing righteousness it was producing sin. Instead of producing life it brought death. Instead of producing mercy and grace it brought condemnation, divine wrath and judgement constantly on the people. Meanwhile man is a spirit. Even though man has flesh and blood, man is a spirit not flesh and blood. Only whatever has access into the spirit of man can truly impact or change him. The law contained dos and don'ts which only the flesh can thrive in observing. Faith is not about dos and don'ts but of hearing the word and believing it. Even as the bible says of Abraham that he believed the word of God and it was counted to him for righteousness or faith. Abraham is called the father of faith because he was the first to hear the word only and believe without any performance attached to it.

There are two main spiritual laws in operation on the earth today, the laws of the flesh and the laws of the Spirit. All the laws of the flesh lead to sin and death. These laws came into effect on earth after Adam sinned and died spiritually. All the laws of the Spirit lead to life everlasting. The law of the Spirit came into being with the new covenant in Christ Jesus. All the laws of the old testament are laws of the flesh, no matter how spiritual, holy and moral they may be, including the ten commandments. They are of the flesh because they minister only to the flesh and for the flesh. They are laws focused on forcing the carnal flesh to obey God or live holy in order to be accepted by God or be blessed by God. The law demanded only a change of mind and a change of actions. The law had no power to change the spirit or the hearts of men.

Man is not a mind or a flesh, even though he has both and needs both to live on earth. Man is a spirit. Only a change in the spirit of man truly amounts to a change. Every other change is hypocrisy. Hence no matter how spiritual, holy and moral the ten commandments and the old testament laws were, they led the people deeper and deeper into sin and death. Man is a sinner because he committed spiritual sin that led to his spiritual death. Man is not a sinner because he is not able to keep the moral laws of the old testament. No matter how holy a man lives obeying all the laws of the flesh he is living in sin and will surely die. God bless you. Faith Was A Mystery Revealed Only in The New Testament: Romans 16:25-26 (KJV) "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:"
Ephesians 3:2-6 (KJV) "If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:"
The second reason why faith was not revealed in the old testament is that faith was part of the new testament mysteries of God that was hidden in God from the foundation of the world. Unto us in the new covenant are given the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know and understand the mysteries of God and mysteries of the kingdom of God.
Faith is another in the series of mysteries or divine secrets that was revealed by the blood of Jesus. Revealed by the blood of Jesus means that it was the finished work of Christ on the Cross that unveiled to us what faith is, how to get faith, where it comes from and how to use faith. Only in the Epistles are all these revealed. The blood of Jesus reveals to us also why faith could not be revealed in the old testament. Faith is one of the mysteries that was hidden in the old testament and from the old testament saints but now unveiled to us at the fullness of times. The blood of Jesus not only revealed faith but revealed the faith of God and made it available to all men. Jesus, the word of God is the faith of God revealed to all and made available to all. Also it is in the new testament that the word of God is called the word of faith. It is also the blood that revealed to us healing by faith, prayer of faith, the good fight of faith, walking by faith, living by faith, hearing of faith, etc.
In the old testament God gave them the law which was not of faith nor of the Spirit. As long as the law was operational on earth it was impossible for faith to be revealed. Hence faith came by Jesus to fulfill the law by His blood so that the mystery of faith can be revealed. The blood of Jesus served two major purposes. First, the blood of Jesus was the propitiation for the sins of all men, redemption and forgiveness of our sins. As long as there was sin reigning in the world, faith can't be revealed. Faith and sin are contrary to one another. Faith cannot reign when and where sin is reigning. Whatever is of sin is not of faith. Whatever is not of faith is sin.
Secondly, the blood was the sacrifice needed for the seal of the new covenant. Jesus not only died for our sins but He also died so that He can be resurrected to give us a new life and a new covenant. In other words Jesus died to fulfill the law of sin and death and to unveil the new law of the Spirit of life by faith in Christ Jesus. He died to end the reign of sin that faith and righteousness may begin to reign on earth. Hallelujah! 4. There was no way Isaac the natural seed or Israel would have been able to fulfill all these promises and blessings of God to Abraham we read yesterday. It is only in Christ and the Church nation that all these promises and blessings are fulfilled exceeding abundantly. The law produced curses instead of blessings. But faith produced blessings. By faith in that promise we become the seed or children of Abraham in Christ Jesus. And as children of Abraham we inherit the promise made to Abraham our father. Same way God entered into the new covenant with Jesus, when we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we become partakers of the same covenant with all and full rights in the name of Jesus. Hebrews 11:1, 6 (KJV) "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.....6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

3. Under the ministry of Jesus no one was healed or blessed because of his observance or obedience to the law. All were healed by faith only and were blessed by faith only. Jesus never found any of anyone guilty of the law even lepers and the adulteress, but He constantly found people guilty of the lack of faith. Only those who oppossed Him in the name of the law He found guilty of the law. Salvation and all the promises and blessings of God in the new testament are only available to us by the gift of the faith of Jesus which we receive freely when we hear and believe the word of God who is Jesus. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Faith comes only by hearing and hearing the word of God who is Christ. When we hear Him and believe Him we receive the gift of His faith as if all that Jesus did by faith we did it together with Him and in Him. Since we did everything He did with Him and in Him, we are also entitled by right to receive and enjoy all that the Father blessed Him for what He did in obedience to the will of the Father. The faith of Christ is a free gift we receive when we hear the word and believe it. Faith therefore is an inheritance we receive by promise as children of Abraham. Every believer is given a measure of the faith of God as part of our inheritance in Christ. It is not of works because it is an inheritance not a reward or wages. Children don't receive wages from their father but inheritance. Having received the gift of the faith of Christ we become sons of God and heirs of God, joint heirs with Christ and heir of all things owned by God the Father. Hence all things are yours.

After God's promise of faith to Abraham the law was added until the coming of the promise. The law only paused the promise till the coming of the promised seed. When Jesus the promised seed came He fulfilled the law and unveiled the promise to all mankind that through Abraham by faith all the families of the earth will be blessed. Now by faith all men have access to the promises and blessings of God. While the law was only for the natural seed of Abraham but faith is for all men and all the families of the earth. Through the law it was impossible for God to fulfill His promises to Abraham that Genesis 12:2-3 (KJV) "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 15:5 (KJV) "And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be." Genesis 15:14 (KJV) "And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance." Genesis 17:2 (KJV) "And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly." Genesis 17:6-7 (KJV) "And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee." Genesis 22:17-18 (KJV) "That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice."
