Rossikk: I don't understand why on earth we need China to build schools in this country, when we have so many construction firms here. I can understand if it is railways or airports, but schools? That's ridiculous.I share equally your sentiment. You are very right. However do you know that even the African Union building was given to a Chinese firm to build? It simply goes to show how we in Africa have totally come to rely heavily on the Asians. Heck! Even most of the major Nigerian construction firms equally travel to Asia to buy the equipment for use here. |
Evestar200: Just luk at what is goin on in akwa ibom state,,then u will knw what massive construction is,,not dat trash they are doing in ogun stateAre you not from the Niger Delta? Show us any meaningful project going on in your flood eroded region. |
madridsta007: LOL... Seems you still the need likes of Achebe and Soyinka to teach you English.Lol. "Don't be silly", would you also classify that as an insult? I classed your comment as foolishness not your person. If I had said: "you are foolish for making a foolish comparison", that my friend is an insult. Jeez! Even Achebe would be wondering what is wrong with your comprehension skills right now. |
Gbawe: You should ignore those with nothing to say. They want to take the thread in a certain direction. My brother, just like you pointed out sarcastically earlier, I guess what is shown below is not massive construction. It is a "bicycle path". Honestly, some should just go and work on their own mental health instead of coming here to show the entire world they are damaged good. Stakeholders and users of a State are expressing joy at unprecedented development they are seeing and you who should be minding your own business, in your state thousands of kilometres away, is castigating them. Welcome to Nigeria the home of many sick 'puppies' with unresolved issues.I really do try to ignore these people as much as I can. I remember some few days ago, I entered a public transport within Abeokuta, and this foolish Igbo boy was complaining that Amosun is just busy destroying houses and shops within the metropolis all at the same time! That rather Amosun should start gradually from street to street rather than the MASSIVE project he has undertaken. I had to clearly tell him that all these project from Itoku to Lafenwa to Sapon to Ibara to Ijaiye to Olorunsogo to Asero to Adantan and all across the State are being handled by various contractors and road development agents. This creates room for proper competition and not delivering sub-standard urban development project. I love the NEW Abeokuta I can forsee. And for any random ediot to tell me the days of OGD/OGROMA are better than the HiTEC, PW carrying out development in my beloved state, such a person needs to be exterminated! |
madridsta007: Lol... When someone who has no point wants to speak, he starts by insulting the other person.LOL.....acting like the victim again. I did not insult you. If I had said: "you are foolish", that is an insult. I rather found your comment of comparing Mandela and Achebe as equal to be utter foolishness. I have asked pertinent question, but it seems you are not equipped to answer my question. It can therefore be concluded that Achebe is not on the same pedestal as Mandela. |
madridsta007: Hope you know his family can reject it? And they would. Please refrain from foolishness whenever you address me forthwith on this forum. Achebe can NEVER be in the league of Mandela. What did Achebe do for his constituency? What developmental or world acclaimed literature project did he bring to Ogidiland? Where was Achebe when Ojukwu started his useless Biafra war and he fled with his g-string pants on at night? Did Achebe go to jail for 27years for you Igbo people? Has he ever led any protest on the street of Nigeria for you Igbos? What qualifies him to be on the same pedestal as the Great Mandiba of South Africa? |
ameriel pepper: What constrution? Mtcheew!, I live in ogun state ( my mum built her house there). In itele that is after ayetoro, when you pass through ayobo. There's no electricity there for the past 3yrs my mum built her house there, so we her kids have decided to remain in lagos, our state of birth! Pls if you have that AMOSUN 's ear, tell him to send light sharperly to that area! Not surprised @ his name cos I know what it means in ibo language! That area is so poorly developed! Stop praising someone whom has not done anything! Please return to your village. You igbos have been reputed to be a bunch of uncivilized beings. Little wonder, you bunch are the most obnoxious loud gobs on this thread. So in your diseased and ignorant state of mind, it is the job of the state governor to provide electricity for you abi? How old are you in the first place? |
playmode: This is the MASSIVE construction you are talking aboutYou live in South Africa if I am very correct. I have flown out, lived and still living abroad, for a good number of years now. And I dare to affirm from what I am seeing in Ogun State, it is MASSIVE CONSTRUCTION going on. So what is your point? |
Should we talk of Ibara round about, Ijaiye, Sapon, Itoku, Abiola Way, Omida, Onikolobo, etc? Seeing is believing. |
Goddex: Very funny, if a state govt now celeberatesOpen a thread about the developments your own state is undertaking and we can then compare notes whether your indolent local government chairman and state governor are in anyway functional. I have been privileged to live across different states in Nigeria, privileged as well to be exposed to life abroad and I can say Amosun of Ogun State is giving a massive facelift to Ogun State. Just yesterday night, I stepped out of my house to discuss with a friend. Right in my neighborhood, I saw a police patrol car moving around in my estate. This is in one of the newly donated police vehicles given by the state government to your PDP Federal Police. Safety of lives is gradually being restored in the State. There is more the development of a State than gutters and roads and Amosun is clearly on the right part to ensuring that. Furthermore, I have noticed that Amosun's government is such that they listen to intellectual critics. So if you have something intellectual upstairs to contribute to the development of Ogun State, please log-on facebook. I can give you the name and personal facebook profile of his Special adviser on media and social networks. |
fittty: Road constructions also going on in ibadan. Saw it 2days ago when I visitedI heard so too. Briefly passed through Ibadan about two weeks ago while on my way to Ekiti state. That said, Ekiti as well is undergoing urban renewal as well. I was impressed with the road expansion network already done and the work currently in progress. |
As an indigene of Ogun State, and currently in the country, I am most impressed with the good work Amosun is doing. I was really shocked at how he is working on urban renewal especially in Abeokuta. I don't know if it is the same for other parts of the state, as I have not been privileged to travel to other parts of the State. However, there are so much room for improvement in the state esp. in Abeokuta. I hope Okada will be banned soon from the capital once the road expansion across the capital has been completed. When I go to town today, will take some pictures of demolitions being undertaken for the massive development and face lift of Ogun State. Let me quickly point out also; I have noticed that in all these developments going on, Amosun NEVER tags his name to it. Unlike during the irresponsible years of PDP/OGD administration in the state. This is what a selfless service is all about. God bless Ogun State. |
The easiest way to spit on Achebe and on his grave is by according him a national recognition in his death. Achebe clearly did not like the existence of a one Nigeria. He was biafra by heart and soul. He severally rejected whatever national award the nation and the government wanted to give to him. If the senate wants to honor, please march to his Ogidiland and build whatever you want there in his name. Achebe would be hissing wherever he is right now, to hear that he is being considered for national recognition. |
Why wait till June? ![]() The earlier you all start sitting at home, the sooner we can get some respite from your kidnapping business. MASSOB is truly a disgrace to Igbos. Demanding for Rev. King's release......speaks a lot about how your so-called leaders have a penchant for crime, murderers and criminals. |
A brainless scumbag, who had no leadership charisma, a friend to looters, thieves, liars and criminal abscondee like Alams. A man who is either setting up a committee, or he is on top of the situation whereas he has no freaking clue what the situation exactly is. Little wonder he is referred to as a Clueless Retardeen. |
Gbawe: Another lying, low IQ fool. Don't talk to me with your stinking breath. Instead, spare a comment for your lying compatriot being disgraced amd mercilessly put to the sword here. It is you who "sold my conscience"? Anyway, you sentimental m0r0ns only know how to lie against others and then get disgraced for it.The problem is that you accord every ill-educated and mannerless troglodyte on this forum with a response. They thereby think they are sound in political discourse, whereas in real life, they are nothing but living riff-raff. Little wonder another ill-educated troglodyte will think Osoba and Ajimobi are former PDP superstars. Bunch of ignorant gnats. |
suniblu: wat a fool. atiku ... hausaOh sod off you pathetic demented goat. Listen son, if you don't know the genesis of an argument, never ever open your fetid gob to discuss the revelation with me. Silly twerp. |
you should really take his advice. You are fast turning into a nuisance on nairaland day by day with your Tinubu/ACN propaganda. How can a matured man like you keep trolling each thread with propaganda? Tinubu is a fraud. Atiku called him a betrayer, Same as Ribadu. Olu Falea called him a rascal but you insist on painting him as a saint because you are a paid agent. You want to know the Acn superstars that are pdp rejects? Audu Ogbeh, a former deposed PDP chairman now an ACN chieftain, Ajimobi of oyo state, Chris Ngige, Achike udenwa, Olusegun Osoba, Atiku and lots more all superstars of ACN. I think its high time you start getting banned for trolling. your nairaland reputation is dragging on the floor. You gbawe is a dubious character
You wanking liar! So Osoba was a PDP superstar before abi? Shows how foolishly reliable you are in politics discourse. |
We are waiting for them. ![]()
|
Atiku looking for political relevance just as foolish Igbo NL tribalists are waiting to jump on the back of their oppressors just to denigrate anything Yoruba. Of what relevance is Atiku to Igbos? But heck no! Obdurate and inferiority complex goats must always bleat. Unfortunately for y'all (Igbos), you have no credible leader who thinks collectively and intelligently for the interest of your land and people. Unlike in Yoruba, our collective development matters most. If we have a leader that pursues interest different to the goals of Yoruba people, we discard them off. Ask OBJ or any of his PDP SW cronies. |
^^^ Your English writing is an eye sore and highly nauseating to any sane human brain. @ Eko ile, Those pictures you posted, says more than a thousand words. MASSOB men carrying handbags - LMAO! Sissy livered people. |
RSA: @Pataki I don't know you but I doubt you have a bigger d1ck than mine and I'm a South African.LOL. Sorry mate I don't compare my d1ck with guys. That said, feel free to submit your girlfriend for one hour testing and I promise she would never return to you again. Enuff said. ![]() |
