PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha: Still Wanted In The UK - Envoy by Pataki: 2:04pm On Mar 28, 2013
Rossikk: Wrong. The title of the thread is about Britain playing hypocritical saint to her loyal, thoughtless natives, who have so quickly forgotten how they were rap.ed senseless by the same Brits preaching anti-corruption at them.
You are morally corrupt. It is a waste of time engaging you in any form debate. Have a nice day.
PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha: Still Wanted In The UK - Envoy by Pataki: 1:55pm On Mar 28, 2013
Rossikk: When have you ever condemned the British for all their looting of this country? You saying it is ok for them to steal billions from us while you suck their nuts, only to start shouting like an illiterate when a local steals crumbs? Doesn't that make you stupi.d?
You sound very very ignorant and ridiculously stewpeed. The subject of discourse is not that the UK stole billions from Nigeria, the subject of discourse is Alams is an internationally wanted fugitive!
FamilyRe: Help!!! My Husband Has Been Sleeping With Our Daughter by Pataki: 1:30pm On Mar 28, 2013
So unreal as a topic.
PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha: Still Wanted In The UK - Envoy by Pataki: 1:17pm On Mar 28, 2013
Rossikk: You are a Slave to the British. They have no right to talk rubbish about corruption in Nigeria when their own record with regard to Nigeria stinks to high heaven. That is the point.
Shut up and stop being an obdurate irate goat. You have no point on this matter. So far as your odious being does not deem it right to condemn the act of your master - Alams about jumping bail in the UK, or whichever country for that matter, you are under a slave mentality upbringing.
PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha: Still Wanted In The UK - Envoy by Pataki: 1:08pm On Mar 28, 2013
Rossikk: Oh please shut up with you slave mentality. Britain is the world capital of looters' bank deposits, second only to the Swiss. If Britain were to investigate all the looted wealth sitting in her country she'd go bankrupt. What about the billions stolen by the British colonial govt themselves in Nigeria? They ruled this land for 63 years with near zero infrastructure at the end, after exporting resources worth countless billions in today's money. What happened to all that loot? What about Tony Blair? Why is he still walking free in Britain after leading that nation to slaughter millions of Iraqis based on lies, in order to steal their oil? And then you want to tell me that in this litany of gross criminality, it is Alams that they've seen to persecute? Sorry, but You are the one who is not thinking. You and the other slaves here who can't see you're being shafted by the world's biggest looters and hypocrites - Britain.
Slave mentality you said? No one exudes slave mentality except you. What manner of man will defend Alams, who jumped his bail in the UK. You have not addressed that issue yet you accuse someone of slave mentality. How rich coming from you.
FamilyRe: Parental Guide: Bringing Up A Child by Pataki: 11:13am On Mar 28, 2013
zayhal: I think I can relate with what @pataki is trying to say. While growing up, my parents, dad especially didn't hide it that I was his favourite kid. He was so protective and bought me things more than the others. He took me out during weekends and holidays more than my siblings and traveled to see me in school more than he did with them. Through all of this, my brothers only makes jest of me to be daddy's girl. There has never been an iota of jelousy in them. They only tease me with it.

I think if siblings begin to hate their parents' favourite child, there's other underlying problems in the family. I have families around me now where the favourite kid is clearly identified without trouble.

But in a polygamous home identifying a favourite child can cause big trouble.
Thank you very much. You succinctly stated it better.
Interesting perceptive. You don't think it can lead into a deep seated sibling discord well into adulthood?
Nope. Siblings build the relationship they want with each other as the years go by. I could have chosen to hate my brother because my father punished me more than him. But no. My brother and I are good friends.

I have heard you Miss. But from the way you aggressively defend MASSOB, I seem to believe some of your family members are leaders therein.

We Yorubas hold strongly to our beliefs. As exemplified by the bold utterances of OPC and Afenifere. Could the same be said of your sissy MASSOB members who keep on speaking as indolent and despondent men from two sides of the mouth?
PoliticsRe: Name National Library After Achebe: Reps To FG by Pataki: 10:29am On Mar 28, 2013
^^^
LOL.

Only if you had this same passion towards addressing Achebe when he was alive, you would have helped not only him but a million of other people from his region who are so dogmatic to Achebe the tribalist. Afterall, you claimed Achebe is your family friend - no?

I have reached my conclusion on what I believe is where you originate from. You don't believe in tribe, but values. Yet you were so quick to let me know that you are not from the Igbo tribe. You rather refer to your friends in the North as Hausa-Fulanis. When next you fill any Nigerian related applicstion form, and if asked for your ethnicity, please state 'value'.

Please my friend, are you equally a jester aside your professional calling? Or am I wrongly assuming here again? cheesy

If u find that you are more wittier and knowledgeable about this topic please feel free to create your own. My creating this topic was not to create a hostile environment or a vendetta.
Thanks
Oh you have been banned? Speaks volume of your kind of class and how dis-tasteful you reek of in real life. Even your new username indicates you are a spoilt brat.

Reading through the thread, I observed a couple of guys said you are beautiful. But going through the content of your posts here, I equally observed you have no intellectual capacity to engage your respondents on this topic you foolishly started. You think life is all about a pancaked face and soon to be sagging boooobs? Mstchewwww!

Conclusively, you have beauty, but no substantial brain to carry with it.
PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha: Still Wanted In The UK - Envoy by Pataki: 10:06am On Mar 28, 2013
eldoradoxx: I don't know why there is so much noise about the Alams pardon. Presidential pardon is granted to only persons who have commmited offence against the law and have been convicted and sentenced and served or serving their sentence. Alams fits into this, he was convicted, jailed(the only Governor to have gone to jail since Buhari's era). He had lost all the money he stole. Infact the hotel he bought for about 2 billion was taken from him etc. So what else was left if not pardon. Presidential pardon is like telling your child after serving a punishment you gave him that you love and stil care about him. If I were the president I would grant pardon to everyone who has served his term, let him go and start life afresh and become useful to the society again. On the issue of UK waiting for Alams, the High Commissioner should be well informed about issues before coming to press. The charge against Alams was that he stole public fund in Nigeria and illegally brought it to UK. Now, he had been convicted of the stealing and gone to jail and pardoned by the president. The implication is that he can't be tried again. The presidential pardon has now removed the illegality in the bringing of the money to UK (laundering) and by legal fiction, the money Alams brought to UK by reason of the pardon has become legitimate and cannot be subject to any criminal trial again anywhere. A case in example in Okah's trial and conviction in SA. If in the course of the trial, let's assume he was pardoned by the president of Nigeria, would the trial go on? No! Why? because the offence he committed was against Nigeria and if Nigeria represented by her president says there is no offence against her, what would the court be trying Okah for again.
I hope Alams makes you his legal adviser! cool
PoliticsRe: Name National Library After Achebe: Reps To FG by Pataki: 9:58am On Mar 28, 2013
You seem to have a penchant for drawing me back to this topic. Stop using 'sir' for me!

I noticed your comment about Wole Soyinka, pondered for some minutes whether to bring out the pedagogy in me or just ignore your conclusion you derived from assertion towards your tribe.

That said, I have been drawn back to briefly state what I think of Prof. Wole Soyinka. Just so that you don't feel all sleek about it.

I know Prof. Soyinka well enough. He is a nationalist rather than a tribalist like Achebe. He fights for what brings national unity that is what even his book or write-ups project. When you accused me of myopicsm, I laughed. Simply because, you are not seeing yourself as the true personification of myopicsm.

You illogically concluded that from my assertion and inferences, Soyinka could also be Igbo. Kindly note that I never said you were Igbo! I claimed or rightly put, inferred that you are from the South. Possibly to add further, from the SS extraction.

If going by your illogical conclusion that Soyinka is possibly Igbo; simply because he was sympathetic to the Biafra cause and possibly a good friend of Achebe - we can also assume Soyinka is of the SS extraction going by how he marched on the streets of Abuja to fight for Jonathan to become the acting president in 2010.

So you see my friend, we could go on and on all day long on this matter. But suffice it to say as at now: you are right, I am even more right. LOL.

Good day!!
PoliticsRe: Name National Library After Achebe: Reps To FG by Pataki: 9:16am On Mar 28, 2013
madridsta007: So those all these things reveal I am Igbo? Funny, you've gone to 'investigate' me because of tribe. Nigeria is in deep trouble if it has your likes as a majority of her population.

Wole Soyinka was a best friend to Achebe. He wrote the book, 'The mind died', when he was in prison for speaking about the widespread human rights abuse in Biafra.

I believe from your assertion, it makes him 'Igbo'. Funny.

I do not see tribe as anything, Oga. Perhaps you take it strongly. I don't, sorry. Add value to me, if you like originate from planet Mars, I will be your friend. I am sure that isn't a 'Nigerian' way of thinking, but that's me.

If I put up my picture there, I am certain you will recognize me as would many others. So I decline to.

I have a strong penchant for anyone that adds value to me. And for anyone that follows truth, conscience and objectivity. Unlike your flawed assertion, I do not speak particularly for any tribe. I have had the privilege of travelling to every state in the federation and have worked with excellent young minds from all sides of the country.

I criticize anyone that his or her ideals do not follow into tandem with that. Aside my professional calling, I am a writer and I have been sent emails warning me about the things I write, especially about Jonathan.

I understand myopicsm is wide-spread, but I guess I expected a lot from you. Sadly.
LOL. We could go on and on today trying to prove who is right and wrong on this matter - seeing that you have now drifted to the topic of myopicsm.

What you do for a living is none of my concern. I was rather more curious to know what your inclinations are. You are neither here nor there in my honest opinion. You either stand for something or you most likely fall for everything. The latter seems to be the case. That is just my opinion sadly. I drew up my conclusions based on my observation of your posts on the forum and further reference from the quoted post above.

The 'non-Nigerian' in me equally does not appreciate the 'Oga' and 'Sir' you accord me with repeatedly (albeit, it might be cheeky from you). I would kindly appreciate it that in future discourse, please refrain from such with me. Thanks a lot, Mr. Madridsta007. smiley

That said, I am honestly out of this discourse. Cheers.

I am sure those Lagos Ibadan expressway media houses contains a large proportion your fellow igbo brothers and sisters who rather than stay in their villages troop to the West to fork outa living - no?

Please show some intellectual decorum when at least trying to go tribalistic.

PoliticsRe: Name National Library After Achebe: Reps To FG by Pataki: 8:07am On Mar 28, 2013
madridsta007: Hahaha! Just seeing this! Who told you I am Igbohuh? huh

Your myopicism is as medical as its physical. Shocking.
Ha ha! I just took a quick peep into your profile.

You claim Achebe as a family friend, you have a strong penchant for the SS and SE people. If I am very correct as well, you are equally a pro-Jonathan as well.

You are very mindful not to state which tribe you are from in Nigeria on this forum. Even though you claim to have lived most of your life in the North. However my dear friend, if you wish to keep your tribe anonymous, that is most certainly your prerogative. But with your previous posts, allow me to deduce that your heart lies with the people from the South.

The grammatical structure of any thread gives absolute credence to the IQ of the OP.

Unfortunately, this topic is absolutely dead on arrival. The OP apparently has nothing substantial upstairs to warrant an intellectual discourse.

No pun intended.

Am not a tribalist. Infact my tribe is immaterial here. But I wanted to respond to the above questions thinking it was an honest inquiry until I came to the bolded. It shows your questions panders on tibalism than intellectualism.

At any rate let me ask you this: Does it mean that people that has distinguished themselves in their various areas of endeavors must have similar life experiences before they are placed in the same pedestal? Hmmmmmm!
Funny that you are drifting towards intellectualism. I was suddenly lit alive only to read your last paragraph. sad If you are really that intellectual, you would not answer my question with a question. That is not intellectualism that is plain indolent reasoning.

To answer your question, brings me back to my question. On what pedestal does it grant us to equate Achebe (a tribalist) to the great Mandiba? undecided Achebe wrote books, I have failed to see how his works emancipated or distinguished even ordinary Igbos from the mental servitude they are shackled with. Could your intellectual self clarify this for me? undecided

Why not post my photo right now? Sorry to burstyour foolish theory. I am not a paid PRO. I don't live any longer in Nigeria.

I am in Nigeria for some few weeks to conduct my own personal business/research. This involves me traveling across a few SW states. It has nothing to do with government PRO. Do you actually know that of all the SW states I have interacted with, it is only Ogun State that was not forthcoming with the information I came to Nigeria to find out.

This is simply because Amosun is heavily investigating the attrocities committed by the previous administration in regards to this.

If your are an Amosun hater, that is your cup of tea. I am simply pleased that Ogun State is getting an urban facelift. At least in my lifetime!
