Liverpool is on £150m spend.
we could have also continued with Martial and Fred. why is Onana and Mount any different?
Is Mount an improvement?

Onana? Prioritizing is a thing...When the deal was close, I remember I asked how Mount was any similar to Eriksen, the player he was bought to replace...

ETH is very culpable because Eriksen was his most important player last season thus if he wanted to replace him he should have gone for a like-for-like replacement and not Mount.

I even doubt Liverpool FC has outspent us or will outspend us at the end of the window.

Apart from Dominik Szoboszlai, they have been very shrewd with their dealings so far.

Na who asked us to sign Mount for over £55m?

We signed Onana when we could have made do with De Gea and Henderson and instead used the money to sign a player for a more important position.

I understand the Glazers are hated here so it's easy to criticize them but let's be logical...

What is this fuss about Palhinha. I saw Fulham tagged him at £80m. If Bayern pay that stupid money for him I will know for a fact Tuchel has come to steal, kill and destroy

If we were going to let Gravenberch go surely Brozovic would have been a better option at a quarter of that price I'm hearing Fulham want to sell
🤣🤣🤣

I just want to know the better players who are calling on Man Utd to sign them.

Is that too much to ask?
You are fixated on his wordings rather than what he meant. We are seeing other clubs signing top players so, we do not have any excuse not to sign them too. We signed Mount when Mac Allister was available. To think we even have UCL football to offer...

I am in support of the argument that there are a lot of good players in the market but for some reason, we keep opting for the 'not so good' ones...

Who are the "better players"?

I'm just curious.
The ones joining other clubs are not players abi? It is only when Man Utd is involved you start reading takes that paints a picture like they're no good players out there.

Btw I admire your dedication to watch one of our league's matches outside the top 3, Most EPL ones I know except those who bet and watch those games for their tickets hardly follow any game that doesn't involve vardrid or Barcelona
I am first a football fan. In La Liga, I support Barca, in Serie A, it is Milan, in the Bundesliga, it's Dortmund, in the Eredivisie, it's Ajax, in the Portuguese Premier Liga it's Benfica. I try as much as I can to follow all these clubs away from Manchester United.

It'll be the same thing. We saw the mindset ETH came into the job with. After 2 Ls back to back and a massive 4-0 loss, man had to switch things up.

Question is would Pep had switch things up the same way or he'd have stuck to his principles while getting slapped every other week. He'd probably get the sack in the first season.

Btw, Casemiro was not "ETH signing" in that sense, he was the club signing. World Class player became available and we went for him. If Pep had to leave under the same Circumstance, he'd struggle massively.
Pep in his first season struggled but we could see what he wanted to do. ETH has been supported like Pep but we are not seeing an established pattern yet.

It's early days but it's Wolves we came up against not City or Liverpool that's why I'm worried.

This is a very important point.
Yes...Whether we were playing rugby or park the bus system before, I care less at this point because we definitely have the players to at least keep the ball better and string some passes together.

I hope we do better against Nottingham.

If we had gotten Pep and Klopp, everything would still be the same. That's clear as daylight now.

Pep will actually rather retire than take this job. Take over a counter attacking side, try to turn them to as possession based side while everyone tells you you're over spending cuz you spent 200m in an inflated window.
This is not true.

Our starting 11 should be able to keep the ball better against Wolves.

Onana, Martinez, Casemiro, Mount, Antony are all his signings.

The other players are not bad in possession safe for a few.

If we come up against Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool I will entertain the excuses but Wolves? Haba!

I really feel for ETH although the baba dey mumu sometimes with him decision.

Eth will never implement that style of play that he's known for with idiots like Rash and Bruno. Just know this and know peace. So he must've been told to find a way to come up with a system that accommodates those 2. Therein lies his problem because he can't do away with silly fan favorites.

Also, there's the issue of not having the personnel for his style. Believe me, if ETH were to get the Brighton squad, he'd do better.

Two things will happen: Either we sell Rash, Bruno and co or we keep up with this merry-go-round and Eth gets sacked.

Even if another coach comes in and we don't get rid of these useless and inconsistent players, they'll frustrate him just like they did Ole, Ralf and now ETH.

ETH though shares a huge part of the blame with his lack of foresight when it comes to identifying players.

Our problem just took a complicated dimension because before we sell off these idiots...omo shocked

There's a reason even osho free Saudi no dey too eye our players.

Anyway, if we were to follow last season's script, then expect United to be back to winning ways against Arsenal just like we did Liverpool last season.

So maybe after the Arsenal game we'd go on a long unbeaten run.
It's Gollum and not Ole.

Is someone with your device? 😂

The reason for this is the same reason United can’t conclude transfers early. It’s the same reason they had to let go of their most lethal attacker due to “pressure”. It’s the same reason Maguire has refused to leave and many other negative things that are happening at the club.

Simply put, United is not a strong-willed club, and unfortunately, neither are a large number of their fans.

There are things one sees at the club that you simply can’t see at clubs like R.Madrid or Bayern Munich.
Are you saying if we get Pep or Klopp our players won't start pressing or get replaced?

The players ETH has signed have collectively not given us an iota of what kind of football to expect from his team.

Leyqute:
You should also consider the player recruitment department and the strategy of those teams.

United are used to buying stop gaps or ageing players for huge amounts of money. Examples yapa for ground. And when they're not that, they're not the right fit.

Arsenal is filled with talented youngsters who are geling together to form a formidable team. Martinelli, Saka, White, Saliba, etc are decent players who fit the profiles the manager is looking for.

Newcastle bought Isak and Bruno Guimaraesh at the beginning of last season. They were players who are either in their prime or approaching it. They added another promising young winger to that squad in January. This season, they doubled down and improved in that same direction.

United needs a better transfer strategy and ideology. We have to move on from an 'at all at all na im bad pass' mentality to identifying youngsters with the right profile and going for them.
Let's not start about player recruitment because all the players we have signed were and are recommended by Ten Hag. If Ten Hag decides to buy players that he can't utilize then it is solely on him and he should take the fall if things go south.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m):

Yeah, I absolutely agree they've significantly improved. It surely helps that they're not chasing after a particular style of play. And even if they were, the manager would have finished 8th back to back without any pressure while gradually building what he wants.

Newcastle can go for a Mctominay this summer and we won't be surprised. They're only concerned about winning for now. Howe have proven to be really fluid in the type of system he can operate in. He doesn't care if the full backs can tuck into the midfield, or any of that extra shit. He'll make it work.

That doesn't apply to a Ten Hag. For example, Pep will probably finish poorly initially in the same situation.
Newcastle plays better football than we do, yes or no?

Odizeey leave Arsenal out and use Newcastle to fight this fight. Newcastle were almost relegated until they brought in Eddie Howe who worked his magic and they survived. At that time, we had the better team by a long stretch...

A couple of transfer windows, since the Saudis took over have seen Newcastle qualify for the UCL and are now strong contenders for another top 4 finish whilst proving difficult to beat for any team in the league. The key point to note is that we had a superior team compared to Newcastle before the takeover and after the takeover, we have spent almost the same amount (the difference in amount is relatively insignificant) on players yet they have closed the gap on us and every other top team.

If we play Newcastle tomorrow, no one here will be confident we can win. The odds will favour them.

Something isn't right with this club especially since Fergie retired. All the top coaches employed failed to implement their respective styles with top level consistency.

Just flash and pan here and there, a little brilliance today, disgraceful and unrecognisable pattern the following week. Van Gaal tried with his possession football but he nearly induced the whole fanbase with chronic low blood pressure and insomnia.

Even ETH is struggling to implement a style of play. Wahala dey oo.
I just want a coach that will get our players running like City, Liverpool, Brighton and other players of top teams. Our players don't press as much and cover less distance overall.

I asked you that question for a reason. Before the takeover, who had the better team?

After the takeover, have they significantly spent us?

Obviously funds. He's now having to adapt to the team, trying to play a brand of football that's a mixture of his style of play and the DNA of the team. It's looking like it won't work.

Meanwhile sources say that the club is being urged by fans not to reinvest the transfer funds gotten from the sale of Greenwood on another player, but rather donate the proceeds to women's rights charities. I think that's a step in the right directiongrin
Lol Joke of a club...The abysmal football and slow transfer activity is not a worry for those useless fans but na Greenwood matter.
