I don't like it when supposedly educated folks sound like touts. Fuel subsidy was not budgeted for by the last administration so, regardless of who won the elections, this was always going to be an issue unless you want the government to borrow to fund subsidy.

If you are dragging Tinubu for taking no measures up until now to cut the cost of governance then, I'd gladly join you but as per the after-effect of subsidy removal, it makes no sense.

Buhari was well aware of the issue that's why he made budgetary provision for fuel subsidy up until the end of his administration...

If we all scrutinize our governors like we do the presidency, Nigeria will be better for it.

The only reason we should be using Pavard at CB is if we bought him for the RB position and then develop a problem at CB. Just like when Shaw had to fill in for Licha at CB when he got injured.

What you're saying is tantamount to asking us to buy Shaw to come and play CB when we all know he's better at LB. It doesn't make much sense.

If we're recruiting for the CB position (doesn't matter if it's to cover or displace Varane), we should be going for a CB straight. Not an RB that can play CB. If it were a CB who can play at RB, like Lindelof, then it wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Dayo has also watched Pavard and Upamecano much more than you have and he places Upamecano (who is decent on a good day but can go from 100 to 0 in an instant) higher in the pecking order over Pavard.

Why should we be pursuing him as a cover for Varane?

This is the same thing as buying Rasmus Hojlund to come and play full-back when everyone knows he’s better as a striker. It doesn’t make much sense.

Are we buying a CB that will start over Varane or are we buying a CB that will act as cover for Varane and possibly Lindelof?

If we are looking for a CB that will possibly dislodge Varane and Lindelof then, other options are better but if we are looking for someone that will act as cover when Varane and Lindelof (If ETh sees him as the next option) are out then Pavard is that guy. His versatility is a plus.

Pavard offers us versatility and ye comes with experience and at a good age. We have seen top teams sell good players before who went on to achieve great things for whatever reason.

I wouldn't even mind if we signed Pavard and Tobido and cashed in on Dalot or AWB assuming we do not have a promising RB coming through the academy.

Pavard is hardly ever injured and gives you a 7/10 performance in almost every other game.

If he joins, we can as well cash in on Dalot or AWB and look to the youth team for a potential 3rd choice RB...

I understand he is not one whose game and personality attract lots of attention but as a footballer, he is very solid...

Omo... links to Pavard and J-C Todibo. Pavard might be the better option as he can also play effectively as a RB.

Pavard is 27 yrs and more experienced but Tobido is younger at 23 yrs and has more potential...Tobido is very good at progressing with the ball from deep though while Pavard can be used as a RB without a drop in the quality of his game.

Any of them will do.

have my doubts about Rashford as a CF so, I wouldn't mind if Martial can deputize for Hojlund for a couple of games that way those Saudi clubs might just remember him...

For me, Garnacho should not be a starter yet, he should be an option from the bench unless Rashford is injured.

The Siemens electrification project is an example of Buhari and Co being stuck in the past and focused on centralization. It focused on the national grid.

As it is, with liberalisation the importance of that project will significantly diminish as most states do not need the national grid. Which does need repairs but will not be as critical in a liberalised power sector

Imho, the govt should explore downgrading the project. From a project management perspective the value from it has been eroded.

Maguire is an England International, a mainstay in the Three Lion's defence while McTom is an ever-present in the Scottish team, a solid all-around box-to-box midfielder...Even for £100m, I'd say it is a steal, West Ham is doing the deal of the summer...
