afrodoc: Toss up between CDM sub for Casemiro and CB sub for Varane. For CB we have Lindelof who can do a job and then Shaw as well. There is no decent sub for Casemiro in the squad at this time. For Casemiro, ETH might look at the academy. What are the chances of Savage or even Mainoo stepping up? Varane is always an injury away so that's a concern. I reckon we will sign another CB. In the attack, I think Amadd will deputize for Antony while Sancho will deputize for Rashford. If Martial leaves and we sign Hojlund, we might need another striker if not Rashford will be overworked because he'd be our starting LWF and the only option up front whenever Hojlund or whoever is signed is out injured or suspended. |

I think that with the De Gea news, it is safe to say we have a deal in place to sign Onana.
Now, let's go sign Hojlund and another player (CF/CM/DM/CB), I'd prefer a CB as first priority and a CF as second option. |

For all the years that he served. He deserved better.
At least a sent forth.
The last game of the season, he won the golden gloves, that would have being the perfect time to send him forth.
But we flopped it.
Thanks to a Legend.
A man that stayed irrespective.
When the fax machine failed, he never created a scene.
Man stayed and serve.
Wish you nothing but the best Big man.
At least you didn't fail trials in Eritrea, Sudan, maikunkele and Bosso.

Leyqute: LoL. You just called me a drunkard for hoping something could be done to curtail Martial's recurrent injuries next season and the next minute you're ridiculing me about who's going to buy him
You said the Glazers don't want to sell him but it is not the case, the reality is that his wages is way too high meaning no mid-table team can afford him unless we negotiate a contract termination and he is free agent. It is the same thing for most of our players. Even if we can't find buyers, those guys should be made to train with the reserves, they're useless to our course... |

enemyofprogress: DAVID DE GEA is no longer contracted to Manchester United, but still, he's waiting for Us to get a new goalkeeper before he would announce his departure.
United board had a renewal proposal on table with De Gea during the season, incorporating a salary PAY-CUT, which he accepted wholeheartedly. But after some below-par performances, the board unwisely withdraw the said contract proposal.
Any other player would've left angrily after the club Kinda betrayed him. Which if occured, United would've been left without a designated No1. This is the reason our IMMACULATE LEGEND has decided to be on standby, encase we are unable to get a new goalie due to our restricted fund budget. A GESTURE GREATER THAN LOVE.
DAVID DE GEA is a CERTIFIED Manchester United LEGEND 💯✅ De Gea has shown that he loves the club. Whatever happens from here, he has earned my respect... |

Bombblacks: What makes you believe we are a long way from a title winning squad? A good transfer window and we should be aiming for top 2 this season and deep runs in the Cups. First off, we finished second under Ole a couple of seasons back and I asked, did we finish second because we are the second best team in the league or is it because others top teams had a disastrous season altogether? I pose the same question again, if Chelsea and Liverpool hit top gear, can we keep pace? Talking about the transfer window, does it remotely look like we will fare any better? We still have bums like Maguire, Sancho, Martial in our team yet you want me to dream. No bro, I'm awake. |

raumdeuter: Both coming to a new league are not sure like Kane Kane can come in and score 25-30 goals and it wouldn't make any difference because the squad is a long way off a title winning squad however, with Muani and Hojlund we are sorted in attack for a good number of years enough time for our slow-paced board to fix all the gaping holes in our team. |

raumdeuter: Every transfer is a gamble but Kane is a lesser gamble than other strikers available. Kane is 30yrs players like Lewandowski Benzema are playing into their mid 30s. Even if Kane gives 3yrs of performance which makes you competitive I will take it
Who are the other strikers in the market? Hojlund which is huge gamble as he has not produced at this level before, Kolo Muani same thing. Osimehn are you sure he is not as old as Kane? Plus issue with acclimatizing to a new country I will sign Hojlund and Muani for 120m or thereabout rather than sign 30 years old Kane. One of Muani or Hojlund or even both will likely make it which to me is a better long term investment. |

raumdeuter: Leave resale for small clubs. Big clubs dont think about resale. They make themselves a destination club. Even in your example Liverpool is not selling Sallah because they realize that is 2 steps forward 4 steps backward
City sells players they dont need or players who want out. The ones they want like Aguero Silva, they squeeze every juice out of them
The sale value of KdB will be 150M but City is not even interested until he decides he is no longer interested Salah has done more than enough. KDB has delivered for City since his arrival so, the question of resale value is not a thing. My only issue is that Kane at his age does not come with a guarantee of long term performance. |

Leyqute: The previous season when Man City had yet to buy Haaland and had no striker, Grealish scored just 3 premier league goals. Throughout the season.
If not for oil money, City would be demanding a 100m refund from Villa. He flopped in his first season but not last season. Football more much more than goals and assist. |

Leyqute: Are you praising Graelish for 'retaining possession' ? Is that his primary job as a winger?
You're saying this as if you won't curse him if he was a 100m United winger and all he did was retain possession. In City, they have a goal machine in Haaland and other goal threats so, Pep has not problem with Grealish not scoring or assisting else Foden will displace him. The demands of Grealish at City and the demands had he joined United is and would have been different... |

Leyqute: Unku Christo, you can message me directly. Na me bring di matter.
Out of the 94 goals city scored in the league, Graelish only contributed to 12 of them ( 5G+7A).
He was even poorer in the champions league. Played 13 games, has 0 goals plus 0 assists.
No, Graelish was not "very good" last season. He had a brief moment in either April or March where he scored or made remarkable assists. But that was it.
If Graelish was a United player and he scored 5 PL goals last season, as a 100m player, you'd be calling for his head today. Grealish helps Man City retain possession and is very good in ball progression. While I am not of fan of his style of play (He sometimes hugs the ball too much) you can't use stats to dismiss his impact on the City's style of play. For him to be benching Foden then you should know he is doing something right because Pep is not the kind of manager that rewards average performances. |

pkasso: You are right about Tonali being a better fit than Mount. He is comfortable dropping deep and orchestrating play but he's more of a CM, just like Eriksen. I like to see him as a 6-8 hybrid, Mount is more of an 8-10. Those of una wey dey expect actual possession football from tenHag, make una dey dream dey go. With Mount and Bruno in midfield, na direct, transitional football, which is not bad as long as you guys create chances, score goals and win games. I wonder if some of them have watched Tonali before arguing. My point about Tonali is that if we are to analyse what ETH was trying to achieve last season using Eriksen then Tonali would have been the better option compared to Mount... |

Religious, traditional and political leaders in the South East have to voice out at this point so, their followers buy into the actions of the government.
Nigeria is deeply divided along ethnoreligious lines thus any move by the Tinubu-led FG which is not in sync with the position of the leadership of the South East across all spheres will be viewed as a ploy to go against the region. No army will put a stop to the menace if the locals are sympathetic to the Ipob course. The people affected have to show a strong willingness to end the vicious activities of UGM through their leaders that way, the FG can easily step in and have the situation under control. |
