Ole is a small coach, he is reducing us to relegation level...His set up invites pressure...Sack Ole, please sack the mediocre. |

kokaneprodigy: The fact that he caresses the ball in an effort to always be at the centre of the camera and the manager keeps him for 90mins and features him in every PL game tells you the manager likes it. So is the senior players that will tell him not to listen to a manager that already loathes them(senior players)?
He’s been playing same shii since last season and keeps getting playing time And you think he won’t be encouraged to do more of it.
This thing is simple logic!
You see why I said u and Solo watch games with emotions.
Both of em should fu.ćk off!!! I like Guendouzi but he delays attack by holding on to the ball longer than necessary however that has a lot to do with his age. Ozil, Auba, David Luiz, Lacazette, Sokratis etc should be in a position to correct him. At United, I remember when Ronaldo came and was fixated on entertaining the fans and drawing plaudits from fans, men like Keane, Giggs, Neville had to scold him. They demanded that release the ball earlier and it payed off. Arsenal need leaders and not what is on show... But did you notice that the players wanted to lose the game desperately yesterday that at 1 vs 2 and with 7 mins added, Ozil was more comfortable passing backwards than going forward. Martinelli probably didn't get the script and Lacazette looked disappointed in himself after scoring. I have never seen fans of a club so oissed off after their club scored a goal except last season when Evertaons celebrated every goal Man City scored just so Liverpool don't win the league...Football is funny. |

Whilst I don't have all the details surrounding this trending topic, I am certain there was a lot of corruption in that amnesty scheme. A lot of folks know it's true, so many persons who were not ex-militants got scholarship and benefitted from the scheme to the detriment of those it was exclusively meant for.
As far as Nigeria is concerned, there's little or no way you'll be involved in a scheme like these and not have dirt on you...Allen should search himself and if he's guilty, he should forfeit the money via a plea bargain and continue his business but if he is certain he didn't do no wrong, let him press further charges against them. |

Bale should've left for Manchester United after his first 3 seasons in Spain when it was obvious that no matter what he did, all the glory and praise was reserved for Ronaldo.
Neymar realized the same thing but instead of joining a club like Man City/Liverpool or even Manchester United where they have the publicity (Especially Manchester United) he opted for PSG where nobody gives a damn about what happens in the French league.
Football is more than just your performance on the pitch. If Sterling played for Manchester United last season and we won the domestic treble, I am certain he'd have joined Messi and VVD on the podium... |

If Abraham was in Kante's position for the opener, he'd have hit the ground immediately Mendy got close. He has the perfect height but he lacks the stamina that should make him a force to reckon with. If he must be taken serious, he should build his stamina as he is easily brushed off the ball.
I also feel your midfield will benefit from a player like Pogba who isn't afraid of pinging long balls, many a times, Willian was free but to get the ball to him, it required Kovacic passing to Jorginho then Kante/Azpilicueta before it reaches Willian by which time City must have regrouped...Even Abraham made some nice runs but Kovacic and Jorginho were more interested in retaining possession than trying risky passes. The one time Kovacic went for the risky pass, it led to the opener.
As a rival fan, I'm was hoping that the game ends in a draw but all the same, for the bants, I don't mind... |

afrodoc2: This is why i say he was overrated. Saying he would have achieved more than Ferguson when there isn’t any good evidence to back it up.
Fergie won trophies locally and in Europe with and without money. His Aberdeen records exist. And if we delve into the 1st 5-6 seasons of the EPL we will see multiple years in which he won titles without spending the most for that year.
But the excuse artists for Wenger are blaming lack of money for a life time of choking in Europe.
92/93 season Fergie won the league despite being no 7 on the expenditure list.
93/94 season he won again despite being no 2 on expenditure list.
95/96 season he won the league with kids despite being no 40 ( yes no 40) on the expenditure list.
96/97 he won the league despite being no 6 in expenditure.
In summary Fergie won 4 league titles in 5 years despite never spending the most in any year.
Finally. In their first 5 seasons together Wenger outspent Fergie in 3 of those seasons but it was Fergie that won 3 EPL titles with Wenger winning 2. QED!!! |

I have always maintained that the masses need to look beyond peanuts. Even in the university, if you want to contest for a post in your department, they'll ask you to go and see this one, that one and so on and as you go consulting, everyone expects wine and some cash. Imagine the demands for just small departmental elections, how then will the chap not steal departmental dues in order to recoup his money?
Nigerians should stop stealing from themselves. In Nigeria, for a governor to visit his home town, he needs at least 10m cash just so he can satisfy those who will troop to his house with their various issues.
The day we stop taking crumps from them is the day we will comfortably stand up to them and demand for good governance. As things stand, if you stand up to a senator today demanding that he does better, one of your folks will go behind you to praise the senator in exchange for peanuts.
Nigerians (masses) need to change if things must change. |

Leyqute: Yyup.
I just listened to Stephen Howson speak about them.
Seems like they specialize in finding a weakness in the opponent’s team and then overload that position with bodies.
If they find out that your left wing is weak they’ll double up on your LB and overload the box looking to head in a goal. Once they get that goal they close up shop and become extremely difficult to play against.
The main problem is their work rate - those guys can run for the whole 90 minutes. If we score first it will be easier to get a second.
Even Liverpool who beat them at home by a lone goal were massively overplayed. After watching that game, I began to fear them...I have never seen a team neutralize Liverpool like they did and but not for poor finishing, they'd have won... |

Spy360: You singled out the good buys and avoided the bad ones. Klopp spent a lot of money to get here. It was money well spent though because of their last season's achievement. But it's also because they fortunate to have a very good manager overseeing it. A bad manager would make the club go into admin. Is this a risk Arsenal is willing to take? I guess not.
We are still in our trial process for a new manager. Even if we want to use Ljunberg or any manager, it will be for max two years until we are sure to hand him the club for long term. Klopp didn't just start spending. When your acquisitions prove value for money, the board has no option but to support you even further. Look at the numbers quoted for Salah, Mane, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho that's so unreal. Van Dijk and Allison was the board showing that they trust Klopp. If you get a good coach and Auba, Lacazette and Pepe start playing as well as their potential suggest, those 3 players can fetch you at least £350m in today's market or you think any club will offer more than £70m for Coutinho now? It's the same problem Mourinho had at Manchester United, he bought Bailly and Lindelof for over 30m, he bought Mkhitaryan, bought Pogba, Dalot, Lukaku etc and of all his signings, only Pogba and recently Lindelof (the jury is still out on him) can be classed as good buys, you might include Lukaku. If you are the board, will you support such a coach again when he comes asking for another CB? Klopp has earned it. |

footiemaniac: The season Poch was actually given money(£114m) to spend at Spurs, he failed. Pochetino cannot deal with the pressure of spending money and when the board expectation is high.
He only succeed in a less pressured environment like is compatriot(Moyes). I expected him to kick on this season after spending £114m and keeping their best players, instead he was flexing with relegation and got what he deserved(sack). You now want us to trust him with money to rebuild this squad with Ndombele etc. He bought Lo Celso to replace Erikson but he has been forced to continue using an obviously unhappy Erikson due to the injury woes of Lo Celso. Ndombele too has struggled with fitness same as Dembele. So, technically his players have not had an extended run in the team for you to pass judgement. Talking about board expectation, if not for Poch and his managerial prowess, will Spurs ever dream of demanding top 4 finish or league trophy from their manager? Look at Leicester City who were comfortable finishing in the top half of the table after their surprised title triumph sitting in second position. If Rodgers manages to see them maintain same form and qualify for the UCL in the next 3 years, one boss will stand up and say we are Leicester, we deserve to fight for the title even when he has not been backed in the market compared to those he is up against. |

At United there’s a huge pressure to win every game. A win is always expected and every loss is treated as a disaster.
Poch has never been under that kinda pressure before. You forget to mention the things at United that'll be to his favor. Things like more funds, better players a bigger global reach (scouting and support)... |

footiemaniac: If Poch was not tactically inept, he should have known that going toe toe with Liverpool in Champions league final was a disaster waiting to happen. If he had scored one goal and tried to survived on a defensive masterclass, by now he would have had a trophy to his name and his name written in Spurs folklore. Nobody will remember him years to come in Spurs if Mourinho start delivering them trophies.
OGS result against big teams this season : Man United 4- 0 Chelsea, Man United 1-0 Leicester, Man United 1-1 Arsenal, Man United 1-1 Liverpool and you say he doesn't understand tactics? Let us give him 5 seasons and same expectations Poch had at Spurs and see if he will not win us trophies.
He has the advantage of spending over 130m on his defense alone. That's just in his first season o! You can't talk about number of years Poch spent without talking about the funds at his disposal. If Poch had the luxury of spending the Lukaku money, Pogba money, Fred's money, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, Martial and the wages on offer here akin to what Sanchez was getting for doing nothing, Erikson wouldn't have thought of leaving creating issues in the dressing room. So when you want to hit on Poch, always remember that at Manchester United, he'll have a minimum of £200-300m to play with when he joins and on every other window, at least £150m...Give him such resources and see if he won't welcome the pressure that comes with it. |
