I think it's worth noting that Rashford has scored 9 goals in 10 games for club and country.

That's almost a 1:1 perfect ratio of goals to games. Top class attackers have a ratio of 2:1 while world class attackers typically have an almost 1:1 ratio over multiple full seasons.

That's commendable in itself to be honest. Just needs to work on consistency and we'll have a world class attacker on our hands.
He needs to develop the technical side of his game, he depends too much on speed and shot power. I have seen instances where rather than dink the ball over a goalkeeper, he'll opt to hit it hard. In other instances, rather than beat a defender with body movement or a nice piece of skill, he'll rather try using his pace to get past the defender. He is young sha, I hope he improves and soon enough.

Really surprised no one is talking about how good Rashford and Daniel James have been this international break.

The finish from Rashford for England today was exquisite one touch stuff.

Really hoping they keep the form going on. Finally, Rashford has discovered his best position (which is also Daniel James best position lol)
When they replicate that form in Manchester United Jersey we will be here to sing their praises...I think Rashford thrives when he plays alongside a centre forward who can keep defenders occupied.

Why not?

Xhaka is a better player than Wijnaldum apart from Arsenal. A good coach can use him better. Guen is still growing who knows what he will turn out to be. Kroos? grin

Besides, a good coach can train those boys and drill them very well to master each others game. That's what Klopp did and it's working. Apart from VVD, I can see any really exceptional player in Liverpool including Sarah and Mane. Place them in another team like Arsenal under a coach like Emery and see how shiit they would look. angry
Xhaka in that system won't be effective, Xhaka is lazy and doesn't cover enough ground like Wijnaldum who in my opinion is highly underrated.

The formation is actually what Liverpool use.
Mane........... Firmino .......... Salah
Wijnaldum... Fabinho.. Henderson
Roberts.... VVD .... Lovren... Arnold
...................... Alison .......................

There is no no10, all midfielders are defensive but with ability for long pass. Arnold and Roberts push up, Wijnaldum and Henderson spread wide to cover them, Mane and Salah open up and join Firmino putting pressure on opposition defenders. Notice that both Mane and Salah are inverted which allows them to have a direct shot at goal with an unmarked foot.

The beauty here is that the system has been so perfected by the players that it seems orchestrated and easy to watch.

Auba........... Laca........... Pepe
Xhaka........ Torriera ...... Guen
Tierney.. Luiz.... Cham .Bellerin
.................... Leno......................
Xhaka and Guen won't offer half of the protection that Wijnaldum and Henderson guarantees...

Poor finishing has really cost us this season.
Even Sheffield that aren't in the top 10 are ahead of us on the table with less goals scored.
All these funny stats. 132 chances after 12 games? Is it those aimless crosses from Young they call chances? I know we have missed quite a few chances but that's been over a couple of games especially against Brighton, Norwich who have opened up for us freely like they were paid.

In most of our games, we have hardly looked threatening with labored effort just to create a chance. The comments here after each game week can attest to that.

Of course I know Keita, Milner are good players. In fact i wonder why shaqiri has never been lucky to get a starting role at a good club.

Personally I don’t rate ox. He’s had his chances over the years and he’s not fantastic.

I don’t have issue with them as bench players, but saying Origi and co will just walk into any top team starting lineup is not true
Ox as a midfielder is a completely different proposition. You are judging him from his time at Arsenal but to be honest, even at Arsenal, his best games was when he was deployed in midfield...

There's absolutely nothing special about those players.

I mean what exactly is special about ox tgat scored 20 goals in 6years playing as a forward?

Origi would not make the starting 11 of any top club in Epl. He won't bench anybody in Tottenham, city, loserpool, Arsenal, man utd. Well maybe he can make it to Chelsea's first team now that they field youngsters with less experience tho.

Lalana? Even loserpool fans most times forget he's still a kop.

They are bench players and nothing more than that. Except you are referring to Everton, Crystal palace and Co as top clubs where they could easily make the first team
Keita, Milner, Ox are as good as you can get elsewhere and the likes of Shaqiri and Origi can come in and do a job.

Once again you failed to highlight the role of the coach in AWB case while you did for Guen
Does it look to you that AWB has it in him?

Mourinho for all his defensive philosophy couldn't stop Maicon and Zanetti from attacking, he couldn't stop Marcelo, why? Because they were that good. Check out AWB's body movement when we attack and his composure on the ball.

Anyway, let's not make it about AWB but generally, our fullbacks and midfielders are subpar.

Agreed. Martial is more clinical. But Why hasn’t he scored 20 league goals a season? He’s spent almost 4 years in the EPL.
We never knew Sterling to be a goal scoring forward until Pep happened, on the other Mane is scoring with Klopp even Vardy is having the season of his career under a coach that prioritizes attack but no, we should hold Martial accountable under a coach that seems clueless.

James and Radhford have lost numerous chances created for them by the team this season. What are you talking about ?

Supporting cast is important but if the striker can’t beat the goalkeeper it’s all futile. Rashford lost 3 good chances in the last game before Greenwood scored with his first effort.

What are you talking about ?
Our strikers are not the problem for now. Aguero will miss 2-3 chances but you'll hardly panic if you had him to score on your bet that's because of the number of chances they create same for the Liverpool forwards. Yesterday I had Leicester to win and to be honest, never at any point was I in doubt.

I no even get power to argue, do you see the way Leicester kept the ball moving when even they were in Arsenals box? meanwhile if Arsenal reach Leicester box they'll just look clueless and dis is an attack that has Auba Lacazette and Ozil o, why Leicester na Ayoze perez and Barnes with Vardy dem take de destroy Arsenal defense.
Check out Ben Chilwell, Pereira, Maddison and Tielemans contributions in their attacking play.

Check out Ndidi's role in breaking up play...Here, we need McSause and Fred to do the job of one man, we have Pereira who isn't effective, we have Young and AWB who are average going forward, we have CBs who rather sit back and above all we have a clueless coach but no, we should blame Martial and Rashford.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 12:59pm On Nov 10, 2019
Vardy was not the difference yesterday, he had a good supporting cast to go with his endeavor if not he would have kept quiet. Our fan base will watch the game, see the effort of Ben C., Barnes, Ayoze P., Pereira, Maddison, Tielemans and Ndidi but will choose to ignore all that to praise Vardy. Let Ole set us up to play that way and let's see if Martial, Rashford and James won't find more space to strut their stuff.

Plus they have Jamie Vardy. He’s scored 11 league goals for them.

Had 2 shot on target against Arsenal. Scored 1. Also had an assist.

Anthony Martial and Marchs Rashford need more chances to score.
Chances as clear as the one Vardy buried? For Rashford, maybe yes but Martial will score if presented with the chances Vardy missed yesterday.

Lacazzette was piss poor obviously, but if u actually know how crucial transmitting defence to attack is and u watched that yesterday match really well, then u will see a whoke lot of times Guendouzi made so many uneccesary touches when all he needed to do was push the ball upfield and start an attack.

I mean it's just like Pogba getting the ball at the middle and trying to delete one or two of his markers when be could've done his normal long passes and pick out a sprinting Rashford or martial.

Guendouzi was not the worse performer on the pitch yesterday in all honesty, but he could've made a difference of he did less of dressing the ball like a newly qualified auxiliary nursing dressing the first wound of her nursing career
Emery is a clown tho. With your current team, the starting 11 should be...

..........................Leno.............................
.Bellerin....Sokratis.....Holding......Tierney..
.............. David Luiz...Torreira/Guen................
.............................Ozil.......................................
......Pepe........ Lacazette....... Auba..................

David Luiz will offer more protection to the back 4 alongside Torrira or Guen and his creativity from that position will be key to picking out the runs of Auba.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 9:51am On Nov 10, 2019
Eph12, what I demand from our fullbacks is akin to what you saw Pereira and Chilwell doing yesterday. Also, you saw Maddison and Tielemans at every opportunity join the attack thus even with 3 CBs, Vardy still found space because with Barnes in the wings together with an attacking minded LB in Chilwell on one side and Perez supported by Pereira on the other and in the middle, Maddison and Tielemans, the Arsenal defense was stretched and stressed to their limits.

I am using Leicester City to highlight my point once again just so you or others don't say it's Liverpool and Manchester City I am using to compare with Manchester United...

if u read well I wasn’t blaming him for this loss.

What I’m saying is overtime fans have always picked on Xhaka as the midfield problem. He hasn’t played our games for a while now and we see how the midfield is.

I hardly pick on players and instead blame managers cos they select the team.

But that won’t stop me from telling anyone who cares to listen that Guen does nothing spectacular in the team like they want us to believe.

Most fans here got carried away by the fact that he spends time on the ball doing things that are most times unproductive.

They claimed Xhaka is his problem since Xhaka stopped playing most fans have seen what I’ve been saying, u can go check twitter and Arsenal IG page now, same IG and Twitter they claimed was hyping him.

My point with Guen has got nothing to do with just this game. I hope u get my drift.

The midfield is shit and Guen can’t be exempted from the woes of that midfield cos he has had more appearances than any Arsenal player in there since 2nd half of last season. He has been the common denominator.
No problem, I get your point but as far as yesterday goes, Lacazette had a stinker of a game.

I criticize our fullbacks and midfielders in general terms and not just AWB. That I choose to use AWB to highlight the issue is because of the fact that he is our most expensive fullback yet the most deficient going forward.

Trust me, I want to see AWB do well.

Why is Guen subject to criticism here even when it was obvious Emery got his tactics and personnel wrong?

Lacazette was about the worst player on the pitch, if he was any sharp, Arsenal would've opened the scoring in the first half but he was wasteful. If you don't have an agenda against Guen, why will you leave Laca out of your criticism?

Anyway, as a rival I was happy but let's say things as they are.
