Can't believe what I am reading here, Griezmann lacks pace, is on the decline and blah blah blah... The names that are popping up aren't gonna come cheap themselves, Kane? Auba? Mbappe? Kane has been excellent in the EPL under a free flowing Tottenham but he has failed in Europe where Griezmann and Atletico have excelled so if you must take a swipe at Griezmann for his poor goal return in the league, I don't know what you'll make of Kane in Europe...
Auba for all his pace is a poor finisher and in no way can you compare the offensive approach of Tuchel which clearly favors Auba and any striker you can think of to the defensive approach of Diego Simeone...Let Griezzy and Auba swap positions and let's see if we will have any course to even start a comparison...
Mbappe? We have seen Papisse Cisse come to England and tormented defenders for half a season, we have seen Darren Bent, Andrew Johnson nkor? Even Depay is back among the goal but this time, scoring screamers for fun but just because folks want to discredit Griezzy, anything can fly...
If you don't want him, simply say so and don't try to discredit his efforts.
elampiro: The question is why can't we play our own game instead of trying to defend? We should not allow opposition to build easily. All our forwards and midfielders retire to our half immediately we lose the ball thereby giving the opposition plenty space to plan and build.
The moment we decided to play a high defence and attack, Tottenham became afraid. They were even wasting time. So why can't we always play our game?
Smalling was actually shaking, I hope he gains his confidence before the Europa final. I think Jones should be allowed to play on the right side of defence to get the ball out of defence faster. Smalling is poor on the ball and Jones cant use left foot, so none of them is getting the ball out comfortably. However, with return of Valencia in the Europa final, we could get comfortable going forward from the back.
Wayne Rooney might not be the Wayne we used to know, but he gave three perfect final passes that could have resulted in goals.
Lest I forget, Mata, Lingard and Mkhitaryan didn't come to work today.
Smalling's case is really a concern, he isn't a youngster anymore or is his name affecting how he thinks of himself?
Anyone could beat Madrid? Why didn't they relegate then? How do you come up with all these funny lines?
You want me to believe that a team that finished as runners-up in the league that season, only to win it the next season, were weak?
Your jokes are really funny.
Eto was your team's focal point, it would be criminal for him not to score 30 goals in a season. Henry at Neymar's age was already considered a legend of the game, so?
Don't miss out the key words hombre; "30-something year old, 49 goals, 3 seasons, from left wing.
Epic!
Aren't you forgetting something? 'Lifting the team when it mattered'.
Another striker could have made a mess of that Zizou's beautifully crafted pass, but TH14 didnt.
Bow to the king!
Stop shooting yourself on the foot with the emboldened.
He had already led Arsenal to defeat us on three separate occasions, why then criticize him for not turning up on one occasion?
A single game doesn't make a player, neither does a particular fixture.
If Messi was to be rated based on his scoring record against Chelsea, i am pretty sure he will be in the good company of Emily Heskey.
Highbury home? Dude do you research, TH has scored nearly everywhere, against everyone. Stop posting what you are not sure of.
Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Roma, Bayern etc have all suffered in the hands of the igwe.
Bow to the king!
Are you gonna have him pay for schooling him big time?
I repeat, they're all Airmark wannabes...The havoc Airmark wrecks on Bayern thread is what they want to reciprocate here but they're not creative enough to do jack.
Jose has done nothing He won the calling cup playing Pogba,Ibra and every key player he had when others were playing RLC, Origi, Adelaide and Co, now the players are getting injured and he is using it as an excuse
If others had played their first team like the FA cup where we had Spurs, City, Arsenal and CFC in semis,we all know United wouldn't have won it
United have very very good attacking talents ,yet 11 home games ended in a draw!! !!!!! And scored fewer goals than Bournemouth That is unforgivable
He has struggled to beat Zorya,Feneyoord and Anderlecht comfortably.. ..I can't count the number of times United fans hiss in frustration in the TV room in my hall
Pep will go trophyless but you will be lieing to yourself if you say you can't see the future for that team
Performance wise, United has been horrible, very very horrible Next season he Will bench Martial, Mata, Shaw, Rashford and make you guys believe workhorses like Darmian, Young and Lingard are better
The only reason some of you want Jose to stay is because you have been starved of success for too long that you will find joy in any trophy even if na Community shield
The colored write up makes mockery of your whole point, a coach has managed to win some trophies and is on course to win one more but you choose to brand him a failure? Unfortunate. Burnemouth have outscored us and so? Is it not the same Mou whose previous clubs have managed to break scoring records here and there? So why are you blaming Mou for the teams inability to convert chances as they come, doesn't it clearly show that the quality of players here are a far cry from the quality he managed at Chelsea, Inter and Madrid?
adebayo201: I'm kinda thinking on how the lineup is goung to look like since JM said he's going to rest key players. My question is who are these key players?? Those that started the EL match??
I know some players are going to play today like Mata, Martial, Rooney Smalling, Carrick, Ddg, Lingard. Probably Pogba/Blind.
Why can't you guys just ignore those wannabes, you think they find it funny that their club is way back in terms of trophies, cabinet, popularity etc? The pain of looking at their miserly history is enough, we shouldn't add to it...
UniqueGem: In Reals XI, CR7, Marcelo, Modric, Sergent, Carvajal, and Casemiro are all more important than Kroos. I've realised many of you niggas here don't watch football, you judge players based on teams performance and not players actual ability and work rate. Kroos might be ahead of Modric in midfielders world ranking but thats because he plays for Germany, the best national team in the world. Start watching Madrid today, kroos in particular then come back here to tell us how much we require him at united. There was a time i'd kill for kroos tho' but in 2017, kroos is a Lazy footballer who's not needed in manchester(except the blue half)
Like seriously? Kroos has been better than Modric this season, it's no surprise that Real play badly in his absence
GloryIsaac: It's not just about being the best, who does the dirty job for the team?!!!! Never ever underestimate the midfielder who does the defensive contribution, keeping pressure off the defense...... Is Casemiro the best in Madrid? but they can't underestimate what he does for the team..
If you're gonna write off Kroos, you can as well write off Modric. Nobody said a DM isn't important but we can use Herrera as a DMin the mold of Busi but with more aggressiveness and get somebody like Kroos to control the tempo of our play.
Are we opting for a 2 man midfield if not, why the whole talk of Kroos can't play in a 2 man midfield, top teams are all playing 3 man midfield but folks here are still stuck in the past. We should be looking at Players like Kroos who is very similar to Carrick in his style of play to give us some control in the middle of the park. Don't understand the negativity here.
dubylhover: and they said he's lucky to be playing along side modric, another said hes average and cant control games..that pogba is better..
I have dead
I just tire for the kind of comments where man dey read here...Kroos lazy, lucky to have Modric...I just tire o! Kroos alongside Marcelo and Carvajal are among the best in Madrid
pazienza: I once said that Xhaka is a useless player and people blinded by sentiments questioned my judgement here.
Can Xhaka lace the shoe lace of Dembele, Wanyama, Kante, Herrera, even Declining Fernandinho?
The Answer is no!
The difference between Arsenal this season and the previous ones is our loss of key midfield battles in matches that matter.
Xhaka is not creative, is not a good defensive cover, too sluggish, has next to nothing ball control, can't pick out defensive splitting passes from the deep to safe his life. I'm not singling him out, but he was brought in to improve this team, instead this team in the absence of Carzola had deteriorated.
He was Arsenal big signing this season, and so far has been a flop.
And Yes! Wenger has to go. His cycle at Arsenal is complete. Anything other than replacing Wenger at the end of this season, would lead to more disaster to Arsenal.
Well, I have always known you to be reasonable here alongside Sod09 and a few others who had the guts to question Wenger, the rest can seem to see he has lost it.
ChristineC: good player he might be but that's not important. By the end of 2011/2012 season Manchester United had missed the league by whiskers mainly due to profligacy in front of goal, spurning chances that was actually more difficult to miss. Sir Alex Ferguson attempted an improvement by buying Shinji Kagawa to contribute his goal quota playing behind Wayne Rooney; yet the moment an opportunity arrived to add a true goal sniffer in Robin van Persie to his squad there was no hesitation. The result? Swaggered to league title on Jimmy Choo high heels. That's called identifying pressing need and tackling it head-on.
I was only trying to point out to you that he isn't average neither is he a one season wonder
ChristineC: who will he replace in this starting line up? The fans look forward to reliable improvement in the start team especially in goal scoring department. The money is not my problem but Instead of spending around +£50m for this 'unknown youngster' who may well disappear into mother earth after this season, I'd rather £160m for Neymar Jr. who we all are sure what to expect even if he may require some time to settle in England.
I took note of him couple of seasons ago when Monaco lost out in the Quarter finals to Juve, dude was awesome against peak Juve defense.
Bernado Silva is actually very good, only draw back is Mou who is more defensive in his approach...You can check out the guy when Monaco comes up against Juve, his left foot is magical.
You're losing 2-1 in ectra time amd youre still instructing your boys to play sideways and backwards passes instead and launching L1+/\ balls.
Leroy Sane made at least 3 or 4 mad runs that Yaya Toure and KDB refused to use. Navas refused to run forward and was tapping ball in his half. Sterling was looking like lookman.
Even Iheanacho made one or two sharp diagonal runs that were not utilized. He now had to go back to his half to play hold up ball.
Shocking from Pep.
In similar scenarios seasons ago, we've seen Kompany pushed up to play as an auxiliary CF for route one football but no, Pep thinks otherwise... Don't know what his fueling his obsession for tiki-taka but he is losing it. Funny enough, I have seen him push Pique up before, don't know why he just doesn't fancy it anymore, maybe down to his ego after berating other coaches for doing same.
