So yeah, the fanbase is powerful. We saw the horrible football wasn't even going to come with the trophies we want and everyone said nahhh. There's a reason Ole got the job after.

Ole got the job because the team was struggling and not because the fan base was critical of Mourinho; if Ole's team hadn't shown good potential, he wouldn't have landed the job permanently. It has nothing to do with whatever the fans or legends said, it was the most logical decision then to hand him the job permanently.

If at the end of the season, we don't make the top 4 and have a strong run in one of the cup competitions we're competing for, Erik ten Hag will be shown the door and that will be down to the poor performance of the team and not what the fans or legends of the club say.

In case you don't know, Madrid's fan base is even more impatient; Modric was labelled a flop, and they have booed even some of their greatest players when they're not performing or when they misyarn. This has not stopped them from winning; the standards there are so high. I make bold to say that at United or Liverpool or any other English club, Bellingham won't be putting in so much effort, but because he knows that at Madrid it's either you step up or get butted out, he has to work very hard to keep his place in the team.

Like I don't understand. It's that type of impatience from the fanbase that made Ten Hag throw away style of play after that loss to Brentford in his first season.

The fanbase is huge, most so impatient; So many United legends are pundits now and those ones don't waste time to draw conclusions and judgements. That's how they keep their jobs. A rebuild will be so difficult at this club.

The same fan base that couldn't make LVG change his style or Mourinho to stop playing cowardly football? Is the fan base really that powerful?

We are not even better than Liverpool at breaking fast, but Liverpool does not attempt it all the time; they know when to keep the ball, build from the back, go long or hit teams on the counter.

Those who are saying we keep the ball better are not looking at the area of the pitch where we keep the ball. Passing the ball between Onana, Maguire, Dalot, Martinez and Mazraoui might increase your possession stats but it points to nothing.

We should be able to keep the ball much higher up the pitch. Our midfielders have fewer touches of the ball compared to their peers in other top teams and this for me remains a concern. As a team, we still can't create passing triangles that gives the man on the ball at least 2-3 passing options and that is why we lose the ball in most cases when we go forward. This is partly down to the tactics and set up. We can't depend on fast breaks or attempt fast breaks always, we are a big team and should be able to keep the ball sometimes and tire out the opposition.

EtH should start Zirkzee against Liverpool, Bruno as a false 9 is an experiment that is destined to fail. Also, Rashford has to be benched else we will struggle to make top 6. Spurs and Aston Villa don't look like pushover to me and Chelsea have a good team in there so if they find their mojo, then we will be up against it because I haven't seen anything to suggest we can best Villa, Spurs and Chelsea for that 4th spot.

By not creating and scoring enough goals we are asking our defense to be perfect in every game, which is not realistic.

The improved pressing is good, but we need more structure on the ball as well. Onana and Maguire caressing the ball for extended periods before passing it is disgusting to watch. And our midfielders Case and Mainoo have to do more to make themselves available for the ball and create angles and options for the backline to pass to them.

It annoys me when Onana does that...

Our playing style has indeed improved and we keep the ball better compared to last season, bald fraud is getting help from his new coaching crew in this area. Hope they also help him with his selection and substitution going forward.
How he doesn't see that the team need a proper 9 i don't know, Zirkzee on the pitch is more of a false 9 than a proper one..

We keep the ball on in our half of the pitch. Once we get to the midfield and attacking zone, our possession game is very poor.

It's two games but I can see that Erik ten Hag is still useless...

See high line yet we couldn't exploit it. No successful ball over the top.

You have a point but the foundation of my trepidation about the deal is that from the clips i have seen of him he is not a good enough passer. We need someone that is a good 1st phase passer, especially because our passing out of the back is still wretched.

I might be wrong because i don't think i have ever watched him play a full game, but the clips are not encouraging. Reminds me of when everybody here was hyping AWB when he was at Palace but i raised concerns about his ability on the ball. Some skillsets are more suited to small clubs while others are suited to bigger clubs.

I agree that he is suspect on the ball but he offers the back 4 the protection we demand from Case. We really are in an awkward position...

It's still Ukraine that will use their hands to call back their troops as Russia continue that incursion deep inside Ukraine...

Teams like PSG are quick to jump on any shiny toy. I dont think it is right to hinge your judgement on the decision of PSG to offload him after one season....If they accept anything below $40m then we should sign on the dotted lines.

I rather Ugarte joins than we depending on Casemiro and Collyer for the season.
