What is the name of the kid who played the RWF position against Madrid? The network didn't allow me to see the whole game. |
CrystalTiger:Our options on the bench are no match for our rivals. In defence, we still parade AWB, Maguire, Lindelöf, and Evans. The LB position is even worse because we don't know what to expect from Dr Shaw and Malacia won't be back until October and nobody knows if he will ever be the average player (Truth be told) he was before the injury. In midfield, you have mentioned them but you forgot to add Hannibal. In attack, our options off the bench seem to be Sancho, Antony, Rashford (yes, he has to settle for a bench role for Garnacho to start), Zirkzee. Only Zirkzee is promising of the bunch and he just might be a regular starter but at whose expense? |
zeusis: Very soon we go dey hear Greatest Gbo Gbo! |
Antony should be made to return half of the money we paid before he is chased away... |
Casemiro should be sold... McTominay has to leave... AWB is mid, he should join West Ham... Lindelöf has to go, not negotiable... Eriksen should go, he is very well-appreciated but Manchester United is not a retirement home... Sancho should be shown the door... Rashford should only be an option from the bench, he is simply not good enough to be a starter... Hannibal and Pellistri should be sold... Bring in the following players: De Ligt... A LB and a RB... Ugarte... Zubimendi... A winger who can comfortably play either wing. We should be more ruthless, if a player is not good enough, move them on, it's pointless keeping the likes of Hannibal and Pellistri for too long until their value depreciates... |
Casemiro shouldn't be so easily beaten. |
afrodoc2:He needs the experience. |
You guys like complaining. It's just preseason, una go draw City for league start to dey form king Kong...Conference league merchants. |
raumdeuter:Izzou seems to have decamped or is he still doing one leg in and one leg out like brother Kenneth? |
Ibime:It's too early to start writing the book of lamentations... |
izzou:You are right on point. |
adebayo201:Na Sancho money Afrodoc take enter forbes list... |
GloriousGbola:The people are saying they want a change. Nigerians will back any leader that will come in and prioritise the strengthening of institutions over individuals... |
raumdeuter:Something has to give. If we decide to go for the corrupt politicians then all of them have to be targeted... |
GloriousGbola:What I'm advocating for is systematic cleansing. One that will see the citizens chase the current political class (Across all political parties)...If it means the country split up then so be it. We just can't continue like this, it's not sustainable...I was recently transferred to Ikom (Cross River State), the money in this place is more than what you have anywhere in the State because it is like the nerve centre of cocoa trading. Cameroonians bring their cocoa to come and sell here and most of them reside here. There's so much money here ( a bag of cocoa goes for over 700k) but guess what, for the 2 months I have been here, I have not seen light. It was only recently that the people knew the value of cocoa. All of these are exported and we buy finished products for more. We have a government that is crying that there's no money but a proactive government will bring in the right investors and we will have a cocoa factory here. Go to Benue, with all the oranges, there's no beverage factory, you need to see how oranges are wasting away. Yet, we have people in government that are clueless. There exist a lot of opportunities in Nigeria. Go to Agbokim and see the beautiful waterfall yet in that community there's no hotel, the road leading to the community is bad. Politicians travel abroad to visit places like Agbokim waterfall but the one nature has blessed us with, we can't harness them. Baba, we suppose chase all our politicians comot from this country. |
izzou:Baba e reach to advocate for violence. The political class should be touched where it hurts them. When Nigerians are ready, we will go after them and leave the streets alone. |
raumdeuter:The fact that we are still talking about oil theft, terrorism and banditry after all these years points to the failure of government. |
raumdeuter:What have the government done to grow the economy ever since? There's a reason governments world over do population projection and that's for planning purposes. If we are still grappling with a struggling economy after all these years, it is a pointer to the failure of the government. |
TrebleChamp:The Tinubu government is just too reactionary for my liking. No proactive steps are taken only reactionary steps. For instance, it took the call for protest for the government to suspend tax on food items, start selling 50kg bag of rice at 40k and so on. Why wait for too long? It just reeks of insensitivity to the plight of the people. Tinubu should direct the NNPC to sell crude to Dangote at a discounted price and ensure the domestic market is served first before Dangote thinks of exporting. He should convene a meeting of all the Governors and immediately direct the suspension of taxes on all agricultural products. If anyone here has been to Benue before especially the route that leads to Cross River through Vendeikiya, you will notice that the number of checkpoints targeting agricultural produce is just too much. A farmer or businessman/woman will settle all those checkpoints plus those of the police and army after paying the huge cost of transportation and you expect them to sell to the consumers at a cheap price? It's just not possible... The cost of governance too is just too high. At a point where the government is complaining that the country is broke, you'd expect them to cut costs as a way of leading by example but that's not the case here. The protest so far is a joke to me because people are in the streets causing a nuisance instead of locating the houses of these politicians and razing them to the ground. The politicians do not live on air, their houses, hotels and businesses are around us, identify them and destroy them, it's the only time they'll be alarmed to decisively respond to the demands of the citizens... |
maik99:The thing tire me. Other team will be out there signing players, even Arsenal who had one of the best defences in the league last season have added Calafiori even though Timber is back fit. If it was United, fans would be asking if Calafiori is better than Shaw. The same players that frustrated us throughout last season is the one that guy is defending. Imagine if we tried to sign a LWF, you'd see clowns here telling you that the player is not better than Rashford. |
TrebleChamp:This move is counterproductive. The government should let people protest and security agents should do their jobs, only getting involved when it turns violent. Using ethnicity as a tool to divide and conquer is archaic and should be frowned upon... |
Mrviktor:Are we supposed to be on the back foot always? How often do City and Liverpool football have to defend? There's a standard but you rather have us keep a player that should ideally be at West Ham. The season will start now and you'll start abusing the same AWB. You will criticise the players for being average but when it is time to ship them out, you'll be back here saying the players we are after are not better than the ones we have. |
TrebleChamp:If you meant it as a joke then it's fine. The truth is that there is enough armed forces in every state to deal with any protest. |
Amigoss:You are always quick to attack and use gutter language. I have observed you overtime so I am least surprised. |
raumdeuter:It's sad that we all have to go back to discussing football when the season starts officially. Make politics influneced by ethno-religous bias no come spoil the fun for football threads. E get some people wey I hold in high regard but the things wey them dey spill here dey make me shock. Irrespective of the side you support, let's be rational please! |
OasisX:I just shock say na TrebleChamp dey write that kind thing. Ethnicity and religion mixed with politics na bad thing. |
izzou:The man is a joke. |
afrodoc2:Regardless of how it happened, I have always maintained that we need to sign another quality CB. It is better it happened now even if the circumstances around it points to incompetence from the medical and coaching staff. At this point we can go ahead and sign another CB. |
If the injury to Yoro is what will make us sign another good defender preferably De Ligt then, I choose to see the positive side. |
Make shame catch Iran...All talk, no action... |
This una argument be like wetin small children suppose dey do. You both know you would rather spin the truth on its head than accept a superior argument so, why bother with the never-ending exchanges? |
Those of you in the first page talking absolute bullocks, care to mention the people you find funny or intelligent enough? To each, his own...Peller might not be funny to you but to others, he is. |
