How well does Case Western Reserve University weigh?
I started their graduate Application Process but it is requiring me to input a US address (Specifically Ohio).

Pls who is in Ohio here, and can help me with regards to Address to use.

Thanks boss, I have saved the number. Your post actually nailed it and that's just the blunt truth. I have actually talked with some prof and they told me direct that they don't have funding at the moment and that I should contact them later in the year. Another ish about those top school is that most of them require GRE subject test... which I don't have the money and time to write.
well, I am applying mostly for PHD program with research in cancer studies.. then I have one MSc program in biology as safety.

Yes Boss, Fall 2016 all the way. Getting a supervisor has not been easy, and constructing a strong SOP and statement of research has been tough for me (Don't even know where to start from yet and I want it to be kinda perfect... imagine). I have shortlisted lists of schools but na to craft this SOP and SOR remain. I can use ur help honestly...

i didn't study for long(less than two months) so i know the scores could have been better.
i used a lot of materials doing the short study period and wld b glad to entertain questions.

I have been in the wilderness where am serving.
This is my Experience on the GRE general test which I took on the 22nd of August 2015 at the Galaxy uniprep Center, Abuja.
I had exactly two months to prepare for the test, but as usual I was preoccupied with many stuffs to do.

On the Verbal, I studied only the ETS official verbal reasoning practice book.... Lucky for me it was easy to read and I was able to finish the book within 2 days (about 2 weeks before my test date) (it might also interest you that 2 weeks before my test date I had verbal 156 and quantitative 154 on the ETS Power Prep practice). I also Downloaded the GRE app from playstore on my android, and used it to practice for the vocabulary (though I didn't see any word there on the test day). Well in the end, on the actual test, I managed to score 151 on the verbal section.

Forward to the Quantitative, I studied the Manhattan-8-study-guide series (I actually completed all the quant series of the study guide) and Nova (though I didn't read more than 4 chapters there, it was helpful). These two books were really helpful. Well in the end, on the actual test I managed to score 155 on the Quantitative section.

The Analytical Writing was the section I never took serious, I studied the A.W sampled answers included in the ETS official verbal reasoning book 2 days before the actual test day. On the test day, I didn't even know what to write on the Argument Task... I was just looking at the computer screen. Well I scored 3.0

My advice:
The GRE is really hard? Agreed., but one can really score well with intensive study. So if you have plan to write the test, give yourself enough time to prepare. Strong Preparation is really Key to High GRE score. The above materials that I used are really good GRE book, so use them in addition to your other materials and study. study. study. study. You will be just fine. Goodluck

Ok finally did d almighty GRE today and got meager score of 151V and 155Q. Not so great a score.. but thanks to u all... And DanjaNinja thanks boss

Bro I have used WES, and my documents are waiting for verification.
To send your degree certificate: make a photocopy of it, put it in an envelope, address it to WES and also include your Reference No. then send it through NIPOST (Any Post Office). if you send it through post office in Lagos, it should get delivered to WES in New York in 2 weeks time.

One of the required document for the transcript evaluation is a copy of candidate's degree certificate which is supposed to be sent to WES by the candidate concerned. Please who know the proper means through which the candidate sends such certificate to WES: uploading to WES online or sending the hard copy by post

i will advise you to download the GRE vocabulary app from android playstore. or even Magoosh GRE prep app on android playstore. they are all free and they contain thousands of important GRE words. they are helpful too

Nice TOEFL Score u have got.
I also have the GRE test in August 22nd, the verbal indeed is a big challenge but we will surmount it.

I will upload my ETS Official Guide to Verbal, try to read it along ur other materials, it will be helpfull

Boss, u know that $1 to N245 Exchange is parallel market rate, the CBN still maintains $1 to N199.05. I recently paid for my WES evaluation using Diamond Bank Visa Card, though parallel market was exchanging at around $1 to N235, Diamond Bank charged me at the rate of $1 to N207 approximately.

As regards Lagos, I still dey Enjoy Abuja and my service in Niger state. so I might show in Lagos during December time.

Yes you can register by yourself and its very easy as well. Just go to www.ets.org that's the official site where u can register for both GRE and TOEFL. GRE is $195 while TOEFL is $180. You can make the online payment with your paypal account; but u must have integrated ur master card to that paypal account. Also my best and recommended payment option, you can pay with ur Visa Card. I used diamond bank Visa Card and it worked pretty fine. Their exchange rate fluctuates between N205 & N215, not fully sure sha.
So go to the site and do ur thing urself. No need for agent, it's easy as ur normal internet browsing.

Pls can I register for both GRE and TOEFL by myself online with my mastercard ? Will it not give me any problem? Because agents are askinme for 55k each for GRE and TOEFL, total of 110k, and I am sure its not up to that.
The agent said if I try to register it by myself that I will end up paying twice. Pls is this true ?
