MisterDreamz: #3 According to my knowledge of genetics,a person's height/weight is determined by the dominant gene(either from mother or father). Will look out for that if it changes according to your post anyway! #19 The acid in the stomach is dilute(HCL) and not concentrated o "abeg"! Nice facts! 1. Height is not inherited in terms of dominant gene. It is inherited quantitatively. That is, there is contributive effect. (both parents contribute). This is called polygenic inheritance. 2. The Ph of the acid in stomach is about 1 to 4. So it's actually Concentrated |

bigfrancis21: Thanks bro. I'm officially a Master's graduate of the University of Maryland College Park. It is quite a prestigious thing to be graduating from one of the top 25 engineering schools in the United States. My joy knew no bounds when my name was called on the stage, shook hands with the dean, and handed over my 'certificate'. Well, 'certificate' as in you're given a fake one sort of but the original one gets mailed to your address about 2 months after graduation, the way it is done here.
I guess Fall/December is a good time to graduate as the joy of graduation also coincides with the christmas celebration. Congratulations Sir... Unto the next one. SUCCESS ALL THE WAY |

Fortissimo: Paulbets. How far? Unilag guy too. Biochem goin for fall 2016. Have u heard anything yet? I'm guessing admits will start flowing from February / march.
Which schools did u apply to? I saw were u wrote abt using WES. Did all ur schools require it? I'm almost done with my apps, just to chase down references. Did u need to get the approval of a faculty member tho?
All the best man. Yesoo CBG Unilag, going for fall 2016 as well. I have not heard anything yet, the schools told me admits are likely to be trickling in by that kind march. I applied to university of tennessee knoxville, florida state university, university of south florida, etsu, and kansas state university. However, at fsu i got a potential supervisor recommendation to apply. And yes I did WES and got 3.51, two of the schools required it. I have done what I could, so am fervently praying for the best. How is your apps coming by, be fast cause deadlines are here already. |

slimspzy: hello. just finished the exam few minutes ago! this thread was really helpful in preparation. av to contribute my quota Tip: if you ain't good with maths. start with barron, solve every question you see then move to the official GRE text. For verbal and writing us magoosh and the official GRE Text. But personally learning all the vocab wldnt help. don't depend on it. My experience : wroke at JKK in lagos, started with issue task, baba don write 15mins b4 I realise I mis-read the topic, sha rugged d remaining 15mins write sometin, argument task was cool tho., next Verbal, I never see verbal wey hard like ds b4. a lot harder than barron n magoosh (my opinion). study GRE frequent word list. na just 2 I see... guessed for most. twas hard. Quant : Quant was a lot cool. 1st was good. the 2nd was harder. guessed the ones that took time. Prepare for the Quant well, am not rili a verbal person. but don't be scared if the questions comes hard. I sha dey do all dey go. VQVQV Result : V- 147. Q-160. total 307. Nice scores man. Congratulations |

However, if you be omo wobe and you get plenty money, please ignore my advise. But wait joor, even if you have the money, go for funding and save your money joor. If you dont have use for your money, send it to me jare, i will help you. Yes boss, I ain't gonna dull. Funding all the wayway |

bbdd: So first off, you're applying to too few schools. If you're looking for funding, you have to cast your net wide because stories will arise. I can assure you. Some schools will give their stories at the last minute, some will tell you early. So I advice you to apply to a minimum of 6 schools.
You can get full funding and stipends. We have done it. We don't have two heads.
Also, forward your sop to me. Another thing you must package your app well. Or else it goes into the bin.
Your gre is kinda low. That's the only thing I'm worried about your app but it's still doable.
Believe. Thanks boss, I will do exactly as u said. Will forward my SOP soon this week. I have sent u a pm |

You tried. Admission is not solely based on GRE score... so many factors come into play, and for the record, 305 is not bad. you can get admission in almost any school you apply if you package well (The Ivy leagues might be an overstretch). Goodluck, (You will be fine with admissions ) And pls tell us your GRE Preparation and test day experience so others can learn tunamania: at OP did the gre...had a score of 305, whats the hope of securing admission with that ? 3.5 on the writing section too |

hassan85: It is the right thing to do. Politics aside. But Please ask them to collect Objs own too o.
A brain dead President is still this intelligent and got balls. Long live the "KING" OBJ was our president in the past. The Nigerian Constitution stipulated that every Nigerian Heads of State shall always have diplomatic passport and can visit any country. ... (Not the exact wording of the constitution though but u get the drift) So come what may, OBJ, GEJ etc shall always be protected in this regards. The Nigerian constitution made it that it shall not be possible for any past or present head of state to be middle class citizen let alone of been poor. (Steal or not). |
