Thank you for your advice. The fellowship means $12K will be deducted from my supposed tuition and I am expected to pay the rest out of pocket except I have funding from another source.

The thing is, the school is not one of the schools people talk much about in this thread, or I have not read much comments on the school here, so I seek advice on the school's rating and all or perhaps we have any member here currently running a program in the school or know someone that can advice me.

Thanks.
Congratulations bro...
The offer is not bad for a start.
I would have said you should jump on it if the fellowship had come with full tuition waiver.
However, if you can comfortably pay the remaining tuition after the deductions, then I will suggest you go ahead with it. Also seek out for further opportunities like TA or GA...
The truth is that, the US has so many quality schools that can give good graduate school experience. People have wrongly thought that only the schools mentioned here are the only credible ones. That's why I advise people to make their research themselves and come up with schools that fit their profile and interests.
People should not pick schools because their friend picked it or because it has been mentioned here overtime.
The US has more than 500 ranked colleges that offer graduate programmes... It's left for us to pick from them. You will be surprised at the amount of funding people could get from schools that have never been mentioned here.
That been said, I have actually heard about Claremont and think is Ok.

Let me ask; do you have pending decisions in the Fall 2018 admission cycle.

Thanks for your response. You're correct. The funding did cover my tuition and stipend. I added the mandatory fees, insurance ,books and living expenses as written by the university and it is less than the stipend I was given. That means the stipend covers all that cost. Though I will have my bank statement handy, I won't be needing it.

Congratulations on the offer bro.
May God be with you and favour you in all things.
Have a successful visa interview...

ok I am back again and here are my admission decisions( for now) for fall 2018
- University of Texas Austin (msc/Ph.D)- Rejected
-Renssaeler Poly (Direct Ph.D)- Accepted but no news on funding yet sha

I am still awaiting the rest and may God help us all.
Admissions are tough these days.
Congrats on your Renssaeler Poly Admit, that's a big one... I think you should reach out immediately to the program coordinator and ask.
Even reaching out to Faculty can also be helpful.
In reaching out, put a phone call across and leave voicemail when they don't answer. Then support it with email. This can go vice versa.

How many more are you waiting on?

I don't know where to start thanking God from. After BGSU decided to omit me from their funding list in their MA MATHEMATICS program, the school I applied to with the belief that I was being overly ambitious gave me a surprise offer this evening. Please join me and praise God. I'm pleased with this offer. God be praised!!!
Wow!!
This is huge!!
Congrats bro

Hello HOUSE,
I was declined of admission about one month ago.

A professor from another faculty mailed me to apply for a PhD,waived my application fee.
I found out that he has linked my previous application to the new one.

I can see some column changes on my application page that says I should upload the following:
A column for uploading copy of I- 20 form
A column for Bank statement
A column for financial statement for one year.

I don't have the above listed requirements

Please house I have not received admission offer yet.
Showing on my application is Submitted!.
What does these mean as I don't have copy of I 20 and bank statement.
What can I do at present.Gurus please advise.
Thanks.
Boss...
Contact the Professor and ask him these questions.
He will have a much better answer for you.
Ask him about your admission status.. and funding possibility.
Try calling on the phone if you need urgent reply or send email.

It's the school that's meant to give you the Form I-20 after you have showed proof that you can afford the cost of studying and living in the city.

Hello Gurus in the house, please can someone help me to convert GP of 4.2/5 to 4. The school I attend to apply is requesting for 3.4/4.
With WES evaluation, your GPA will come out to be nothing less than 3.51/4.00

Good morning peeps,

Please I need recommendations on schools with good biotechnology programs (MS/PhD)

I'm also working on a list, but I'll need all the help I can get on this.

Congratulations to all recently admitted with or without funding.
It is usually advised that you make your own research and come up with schools that fit into your career goals and profile.
That been said, for me or any other person to recommend a school for you, we will need to know your profile.
You could also list out the schools you are targetting; then people here can comment a thing or two.

Yes true. Most have a deadline of April 15th for students to accept their offers. So March ending , hopefully.
Yes... God will do it for everybody.

I think the Spring Break is also contributing to the delay cause those meant to send out mails might have gone on break cruising.

Anyways;
The Time is Now

We are already in March and many schools are yet to make admission decisions. The wait is killing, to be honest.
The wait is really killing...
But I think many schools have made their decisions..
Then by March end almost all decisions would have been made.

I pray for admission with funding for every Fall 2018 Hopefuls.

I strongly recommend that you take the GRE for interview purposes to be able to present something when asked by the VO. GRE can be registered now for N45k only. Goodluck.

Hello everyone, please I need some info about evaluation of WAEC transcripts.

1) Is WES or ECE preferable?
2) How long does it take the preferred one to complete the evaluation?
3) Is a course by course evaluation necessary for a WAEC transcript? The school did not specify this that’s why I am asking.

Thanks in advance!

ECE will be much easier given that you won't have to bother going to waec office.. They will do the evaluation with just you providing waec scratch to ECE.

How have you been.?
Really been a long time... Trust you are Good

Catholic church will not give you unless you have a communion card, but outside Nigeria Europe for example, holy communion is like pure water, wherever mass is celebrated, anyone can join the line and have it, only we Africans turn things on our heads.
Say what you know. Don't act on hear say.
What's communion card?

Hiya so sad, never let your emotions control you, if na me say my wife dey do anyhow... omo I join the anyhw queue make we dey run am dey go who first tire go stop.... Now you killed a man out of jealousy. by the way why do you both get married if there was no love?
Truth is, people can be in love today.. and later in life become agressive enemies of each other. Doesn't mean what they had during the good times was not real.. it most likely could be. But this is how real life works. Nothing is ever permanent.
Love and goodwill you enjoy from another is never permanent.. everything is subject to change, humans change; they are not God after all. Some times the change may not be sharp contrast of who they were, it may be mild.
Anyhow, it is good we live within that understanding.

I wonder! Like say the marriage na force.
Come to think of it, we should remove that clause "till death do us part". It has become a trap for a lot of abuse.
Thank you very much.
I am a strong proponent of peaceful dissolution. If it's not working, walk away. And why should people be made to swear with their lives just so they can stay married in life. That's what that clause "Till death do us part" means - Swearing with one's life.
Is high time people understood that they must not constantly put their lives at risk (Violence et al) because they want to stay married.
I understand it usually starts rosy and sweet.. but once the bitter part of it is too much for you to tolerate walk away amicably instead of resulting to violence or abuse of any sort.
Marriage is not the reason for living neither is it the purpose of life.

@Keacy
If you are saying that you have the financial buoyancy to build the house and that it will only affect your marriage plans by only shifting the date from April 2018 to December 2018 or probably early 2019...

I would suggest you go ahead and build the house and then do the Marriage by December 2018.

Don't let this be an issue for you expecially when you can do both without much effect on your pocket and marriage plans (except the few more months gap).
