Let the youths and those who want good governance in Nigeria not be deceived. There's some sense in what people who objectively emphasise on party structures mean when they say structures are important in winning any election. Even in America, and other developed nations, most political parties that usually win elections are those with established means of support from the grassroots. All the rallies being held for Obi may not really translate into actual votes for him. For power to come back to the South, its either Bola Tinubu or Peter Obi step down for the other, else Atiku will use the division of Southern votes bewteen Obi and Tinubu to win. LP as an emerging party still doesn't even have party offices, established structures and party agents in all the wards across all the L.G.A's in Nigeria which is only had by PDP/APC. For LP to make any headway in 2023 Elections, grassroot campaigns and establishing of party offices and structures across the whole Northern parts of Nigeria must be in full gear. LP cannot win the election by banking on support votes from just Christians in the North and other places. Real work has to be undertaken in other to counter the force of PDP in the North and other places. Else LP may end up being 2nd position after PDP while APC may take 3rd position which is even due to the national dislike for the APC and its Presidential candidate. |
Basher8583:Its possible and She will have learnt her lessons by now and will become more careful |
Moh247:Your hate for Peter Obi is making you become like an insane person on different threads on Nairaland. If God allows Peter Obi to become President, what can you do? |
BOLA TINUBU Vs PETER OBI COMPARISON Hello Nigerians, enough of all this comparisons between former Lagos State governor BOLA TINUBU and former Anambra State governor PETER OBI. Yes, we all know and are also aware that both of them really worked hard in terms of infrastructures and other amenities in their various States. Tinubu did very well in Lagos State as a governor back then in 2000s, likewise Peter Obi. But please, nobody should misunderstand what is important here. We are talking about the next Nigerian President here, the person that will handle the complicated and collapsed structures and economy of the country called Nigeria. Nigeria needs a vibrant, young and active person from the Southern region to replace the current President from the Northern region. If I am to decide based on objectivity and not other biased subjective means, I am to nominate Peter Obi for the job. Not because he is an Igbo man or a Christian candidate, but because he is still young and fit to perform the mountainous task ahead. Bola Tinubu is very good and will work, but he is of age and wont be that strong enough and active to perform the serious task ahead. ONE LOVE, NIGERIANS. |
According to some BATified humans, Tinubu was the one that formed Lagos State, designed Lagos State, built all the existing infrastructures in Lagos State through Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo Olu by giving them the master plan to follow. Very absurd. Did you know that between 1999 to 2007, the outstanding governors in Nigeria then were Gov. Donald Duke of Cross River State, Gov. Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu State and the Minister of F.C.T Mallam Nasir El Rufai. Lagos State was never ever celebrated for good governance until Babatunde Fashola became the governor in 2007. I remember clearly the fight Gov. Bola Tinubu had with President Obasanjo about Local Government creation. That was the major reason Lagos State was on the news then. Apart for obvious reasons as Nigeria’s economic capital, there was nothing spectacular in Lagos governance then apart from the crime, filths, dirts and thuggery that littered the former pride of the nation. There was nothing exciting about Gov. Tinubu’s leadership except his meticulous politics. He was a last man standing of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) governors of the Southwest region then. We still remember and is on records how Tinubu was changing his deputy governors like sidechicks. There was one Bucknor then and another Femi Pedro, they all fell out with Gov. Tinubu. We remember clearly how Tinubu almost never wanted Gov. Fashola to complete his term but Fashola being a system man, managed to, unlike Ambode who, although being a very good leader didn’t know how to manage power. Tinubu, typical of most governors in his sets; 1999-2007, was mediocre like Lucky Igbinedion of Edo, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa and Dariye of Plateau etc. It is surprisingly unfortunate how some of his supporters want to re-write his history before our eyes. How would someone attribute the Lagos success story to Tinubu, it is very sad to read that sometimes. Lagos State was already Lagos before Tinubu was born. You can go and verify this. Can any Nigerian point at a mega project attributed to former Gov. Bola Tinubu of Lagos State? I mean one single project he started and completed like the Tinapa of Calabar or the 10 lanes road constructed by Peter Obi’s government 10 years ago still standing or the Akpabio’s miracle of Akwa-Ibom or the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge by Fashola or Wike’s flyovers, or the massive urban renewal projects Kwankwaso did in Kano, El Rufai has done in Kaduna and that Zulum is doing in Borno? You can’t point at any. You can only say he built men. How? As per their father? or by using undemocratic means to install stooges, who by their conscience chose to be men as expected. As a politician, Tinubu is astute but as a leader, he shouldn't come near to power. Wake up and shine your eyes. |
Tareq1105:I don't admire partially educated people like you reacting to my post. If it does not matter to you, it matters to the constitution of Nigeria. |
They want to reinforce failure and suffering in Rivers State. Well its their choice. Many Africans always choose to suffer sha. Development and progress is far from their mindset. One would think they'll be decamping to a progressive party, its the one that's worse than the PDP they're going to. Shoooo... |
Meanwhile Tinubu is crying upandan....Emilokan |
Vice Presidential candidate that wants to be handling insecurity. He should go and read Nigerian constitution in order to stop yearning opoto. |
Her former boss would now be reading her story on various news platforms. I wonder how the man would be feeling now. Grass to glory |
APC candidate always trying to bribe and use Pastors and religious leaders to achieve his political ambition. Nigerians are not foolish to vote for APC again, no matter the lure and financial inducements |
Mc Oluomo thinks giving motor park workers in Lagos, corporate uniform will make Nigerians to support BAT. Its all a form of campaign strategy for BAT. The strategy is dead on arrival if that's the intended objective. Nigerians wont vote APC again. |
BAT supporters will not like this. Especially when they see the massive crowd. They will do Fact check and tell you it was EndSars protest |
Whatever your opinion is, it is the angry Nigerian youths (in the words of Makarfi) that will decide who governs them in 2023. The Politicians BAT is meeting up and down would have little influence in the outcomes of 2023 |
Kokorokomaster1:When you finish spending all your money on her, she will fall in love with you |
Hello Nairalanders. It is becoming too obvious that Bola Tinubu is many times being led by the hand like a toddler? In some of his recent meetings with top polticians, he always seems as though he has little eye sight problems. Some of his supporters are saying it has to do with love and affection from the people he visits. But that statement cannot be true considering the numerous times he's being held by politicians he visits. There must be some things those around him are probably hiding so as to use his influence to gain political power and economic wealth if peradventure he succeeds. If that is the case, Nigerians (most especially the Igbos and Yorubas) must forget their current ethnic differences and really unite to reject the APC in 2023. Economic hardships and insecurity won't acknowledge who voted what party or not.

pcagbaji:Vote for APC next year. You'll understand what it means to drink garri in the morning, afternoon and night. Agbado will be the groundnut |
You are First of all a Nigerian. Being BATified without Labour will keep you stagnated Being ATIKUlate without Labour will make you a poor wise man . Becoming OBIdient is meaningless without Labour That is why you should support the Labour Party. It remains the only top political party with a candidate that understands the concept of "NO WORK, NO GAIN". |
Atiku is not even in Dubai. Foolish bloggers wishing people death in order to draw people to their fake blogs. That's how they posted Mercy Johnson is dead, Aki and Pawpaw is dead |
Peace was never an option. Sometimes no need for arguments online. Vawulence with anointing.
|
Softmirror:There's no place in Dubai that looks like that. That spot is in Paris |
Ochemicals:Every bad thing about BAT is Photoshop. This one too is Photoshop abi
|
It is obvious that the only campaign slogan by the APC and BAT's campaign team has been: 1. Peter Obi's Lies Bursted 2. Peter Obi's supporters are IPOB nembers". 3. Peter Obi is an online phenomenon. 4. Labour Party is a structureless party In reality, the APC and Tinubu have created no content to campaign with towards 2023 Elections except 'Emilokan' to 'Olule'. The BAT team have nothing else to say and are fast going down the political drain to be out. Emilokan is fast turning to Olulè! Why Is APC Not Concerned About Other Contestants? They are not talking about Sowore that has contested for President over 3 times. They are not talking about Atiku that has contested over 5 times. They have been fixated on Peter Obi as though they are really scared of Peter Obi now. In politics, you only attack your major opponent. This is why the APC has given little jibes on Atiku and none to Kwankwaso and other Presidential contestants. Their major focus of attack has been Peter Obi and the Labour party which says a lot. It is noticed that they keep spewing blackmail and division, while Peter Obi is increasing in popularity in leaps and bound. The SE is in the cart, same as the SS. The NC has been added. The majority of SW Christian votes are already with Peter Obi. The results from Lagos State may be a shocker to Tinubu and the APC. Even the henchmen of BAT like Mc Oluomo cannot help help him this time, there are no ballot boxes to snatch. Infact, once you snatch the ballot box or cause problems; the polling unit is in jeopardy, which will be detrimental to the few votes that Tinubu would have gotten there. However, Nigerians are also ready. Everyone can now afford hidden body cameras, so even the results from Lagos State may likely put Tinubu and APC out of the contest. Social Media Impact You will hear them tell you that Peter Obi can only win on Twitter. However In 2014, the APC used the Social Media, Twitter, Facebook, Blogs and others to defeat the PDP. At that time Nigerians on Social were not up to 25% of the voting population. In 2022, when the users of social media have tripled, they are now telling Nigerians that social media is no longer relevant. Who is fooling who? If in 2014 and 2019 Social Media was relevant to defeating PDP, how come it is no longer important according to them? The answer is simple. They have lost control of the Social Media platform to Peter Obi's Obidient movement. Peter Obi now controls about 70% of most SM platforms. We are moving to completely annihilate them on SM. The only few platform they still have a voice are places like Nairaland and some newspapers owned by Tinubu, where they can spew tribalistic vernoms. Obi and Labour Party New Focus Areas Peter Obi is now going to focus on Northern Christians who are already against APC. This is the place for full blown campaigns. Southern Kaduna, Bauchi State's Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro, Azare, and all Christians the politicians call minorities in Gombe State, Kebbi State, Sokoto State etc are coming out to vote for Peter Obi. In Borno State, about 35% of the population are Christians. Added to about 20% who seek good governance. All we need is 25%. Even though Bornu is Shettima's home state, Peter Obi is sure to participate in sharing the votes in Bornu State with Shettima and Atiku. You do not expect Christians who suffer discrimination in Chibok and environs to vote for another Muslim, especially Shettima. Go to Potiskum, go to the hinterlands of Adamawa, Obi is their favourite Presidential candidate. The Kano State they are talking about has over 500,000 Igbos living there and other indigenous Christians from Kano State. Same as Katsina, Zamfara Sokoto. Who do you think they are voting for? In Sokoto, no genuine Christian will vote APC, same as in Niger State and Nasarawa State. Where is Peter Obi not getting votes of at least 25% in the North? May be Jigawa and Katsina States. The noise making Mallam El Rufai of Kaduna has gone into hibernation after his 2 million man march statement on Peter Obi backfired and has now snowballed into 2 million. Wait for tomorrow to see how far. Governor Wike Is Their New God of Hope Please, leave those whose hope for 2023 is on Wike, the man is just catching cruise. The same Wike they hated for 8 yrs, calling him names and accusing him of Christianization of Rivers state, is now their lord and saviour. We do not put our hope in man. Our hope is in God Almighty. On February 25, 2023, Wike cannot even coerce his personal ADC nor his cooks to vote for anybody. If he is sharing money, we trust our brothers and sisters, they did it in Osun. Collect the money, N10k, N20k but vote for your candidate. The new electoral act has rendered rigging at collation centres irrelevant. That was where these governors had power. Now that is gone. Thugs are as useless as used sanitary pads. If you cause problems, the results are cancelled which may lead to rerun. Wike can only influence his employees up to the time they leave home to vote. He cannot control who those people vote for. Moereover, Tinubu may end up creating more trouble for himself with his romance with Wike. It is no gainsaying the fact the the North has no love for Wike. Same thing with Amaechi. If Omehia, Okpala, Dagogo-Jack, Secondus and Amaechi come together, Wike will be useless. NB: Watch out for those who only read headlines to start making mockery, posting rubbish, abusive languages etc. They are more of Tinubu's APC supporters and online urchins. APC used social media to win the PDP in 2015, but want to deceive themselves and some Nigerians that SM is not relevant again. It is therefore important for the Nigerian masses to keep up the heat for LABOUR PARTY to win the 2023 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS. |
Who will now decide the outcome of 2023 General Elections. Polticians or the Voters?
|
If Nigerians cannot maintain the existing Petrol refineries we have, is it a Nuclear power plant you want them to maintain? That is a call for a continental disaster |
Fact Check: On Peter Obi's Attendance Of N.B.A Conference Held In Lagos 1. The NBA conference wasn't held in the South East. So they can no longer call him a South Eastern candidate or IPOB. 2. The conference wasn't held on social media. His popularity is REAL and VERIFIABLE even in Tinubu's stronghold. 3. He didn't pay any of those Laywers "Shi Shi", who gave him a standing ovation. The crowd wasn't BROUGHT or RENTED. 4. The conference wasn't held in a Church, so they can no longer say it's a Christian affair. Many Muslims were also there. And to cap it all up, Nigeria still have 6 months to elections. Next year, the elections will be between Angry Nigerians and the Nigerian Political class. Peter Obi is the choice, the choice of the Nigerian masses. Zero regrets! |
Competence should be the most important thing. However when the candidate of the APC picks a Muslim-Muslim ticket in order to win votes from the North, then there is no need talking of competency here. It is about religion and getting more votes. But is Nigeria normal? Prof asked the right question. Until Nigeria gets normal, we will have to use Christian-Muslim ticket |
Is it Tinubu or Shettima that wants to be President? I don't understand what Kashim Shettima is doing in the equation of discourse rather than Bola Tinubu who is the actual candidate running for President under the APC. If the APC wants to hand power back to the North through Kashim Shettima. They should tell Nigerians their plans. Tinubu's absence at various public functions which demands he gives Nigerians an idea of what he wants to do shows that Tinubu lacks capacity and agility to lead Nigeria at this stage. He may have had the capacity in the past when he was younger, but its obvious he doesn't have it much anymore. Shettima as Vice President will usurp and sideline Bola Tinubu in the scheme and control of the government. Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be resting. But NO. His greed and desperation will not let him rest, until he is rested by the electorates in 2023 |
Lagos State is reportedly the first state in Nigeria to implement the pension law. It was signed in 2007 by then Governor Bola Tinubu weeks before he completed his two-term tenure. Tinubu, a former Senator, is the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party under which Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and President Muhammadu Buhari were elected. On Tuesday, November 10, 2021 Sanwo-Olu announced that the pension law will be repealed. He made the disclosure during the 2021 budget estimate presentation to the House of Assembly. The Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension) Law No 11 Official Gazette of 2007 states that 1. A Former Governor is entitled to a house each in preferred locations in Lagos and Abuja, the nation’s capital. Section 2 reads: “One residential house each for the governor and the deputy governor at any location of their choice in Lagos State and one residential house in the Federal Capital Territory for the governor on two consecutive terms.” The law provides for six new cars every three years, 100 per cent of the basic salary of the incumbent governor (N7.7million per annum), and free health care for the beneficiary and family members. Former governors will be entitled to furniture allowance – 300 percent of annual basic salary (N23.3million); house maintenance allowance – 10 percent of annual basic salary (N778,296); utility allowance – 20 percent of annual basic salary (N1.5million), and car maintenance allowance – 30 percent of the annual basic salary (N2.3million). There is also an entertainment allowance, 10 percent of the annual basic salary (N778,296); and a personal assistant who will earn 25 percent of the governor’s annual basic salary (N1.9million). A former governor is also entitled to eight policemen and two Department of State Services (DSS) operatives for life. https://dailypost.ng/2020/11/10/lagos-breakdown-of-ex-governors-pension-as-signed-by-tinubu/ |
Our prayer is that Nigeria’s coming election will usher in a new Nigeria, where productivity will topple consumption in our scale of preference, so that our country will become a better place. -PO

I'm really a fan of Peter Obi's Presidential ambition, but I think the hate he's even getting from some of his fellow Igbo politicians is nothing good to write about them. This is the major golden opportunity that the Igbos have now at producing someone that will become the next President of Nigeria in 2023, but see the foolishness and myopic mindset that some Governors and politicians in the South-East are displaying to him. Instead of rallying round him and supporting their best chance to produce a capable president, they'll rather support someone else just to keep the illusion of the Igbo presidency going. Later on they'll be crying for Biafra. If not that Tinubu is quite old and picked a Muslim as himself as VP, why will I leave my own and even support people who are not ready to support themselves. It would have been Tinubu first for me. See what Soludo posted. Gov. Soludo of Anambra State Wrote on his Facebook Page after meeting with the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate. Today after my engagement with the YESS family, I received in audience my brother and Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, in a private meeting at the Governor's lodge, Amawbia. Mr. Obi is one of the two illustrious Sons of our dear State gunning to be the President of Nigeria. The other is Justice Peter Umeadi of our great Party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). As the Governor of these great Sons of the State, I am proud of this moment in history, and wish them the best of luck.

Indigenous Christians and outsiders in Bauchi State are rooting for a Peter Obi candidacy (Labour Party). The Muslims are rooting for Atiku (PDP) Tinubu is frankly hated by Christians and even Muslims. |
