Themandator: Mention one ....shey Na Europe and north America where orthoddox church dey close shop and some of the building converted to community centre Go to JDPC offices in some Dioceses and go do some research! When Pope Francis appointed Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo as Papal Nuncio to Ireland 2 monthso ago was there uprising there despite the fact of history that the spread of the Catholic faith in Africa cannot without mentioning the central role played by Irish Priests and Sisters in their missionary sojourns. A Priest from Anambra is sent to Imo, it becomes an issue! Where is the fellowship in that? I comfortably tell Priests and Sisters from Mbaise who work with me in different projects in East Africa that their home community "no be am"! |

5DMindset: The Mbaise people are the root of Catholicism in Nigeria. I have studied the news from both sides and I think the Pope didnt do a nice job by not listening to the Mbaise people.
The moment you keep imposing Priests from other tribes who are not Catholics but by virtue of Nigeria's tribal nepotism allow one tribe to lord over the very known Catholic tribes, then you cause trouble.
I am proud that Mbaise people disobeyed the Pope. They are the root of Catholicism in Nigeria and in fact Africa. They have so many Priests but none was considered worthy enough, but a different tribe and people are always choosen and imposed on them.
It is time that Catholic Church stop using this language of 'annointing' to cheat Africans. You are using our money to develop Vatican and you want to impose people on us.
It wont work. Is your position no t divisive? There are a good number of religious orders where Priests and Sisters of Mbaise extraction hold key leadership positions not because they are of the majority in those Congregations but for who they are, so let us not come up with "they are using our money to develop Vatican"! What is developing Vatican is not the Sundays offerings in Mbaise but the prayers of the faithfuls. The Vatican has the largest network and resources in the world dating back centuries and you claim you developed It? So the billions of dollars spent by Caritas annually in providing aid is from Africa? Do you know how many Dioceses in Nigeria that European and North American Dioceses have adopted and are footing the bills of so many developmental projects? |

emerged01: If you read my post carefully you will understand me. There is a stage when a kid thinks he can do all by himself/herself. As they grow they watch you as a father doing things on your own without assistance of anybody. When you come back from work,in your kid's presence u will pull off your shoes, your cloth without assistance. So when he comes from school,he will say "don't pull it for me". He also feel he can do it on his own(no crime committed). You will realize when he can do it,he wil come back to you and say help me. That's kid for you, they need to be understood. Yea,I agreed with you,you must set rules for them but they have their own rules you will have to follow to make them comfortable when they are around you. When he sees you as a father and unharmed friend,he will build a trust in you. With him trusting, you can always get him to do what you want him to do without force. Thumbs up! It reminds me of my class in psychology of parenting. |

ThinkSmarter: it is a pure lie The number of women re more than the number of men Hv u asked urself why upon all the polygamy that hv been practised in most part of the world, yet u hardly hear that any man is unable to find a female partner for marriage. It z cuz of civilization that brought monogamy that made it more significant nw It hv been that way for long. In all species of animals, the female always outnumber the male. Google search "what is the ratio between male and female population in the world"or any other keywords that suits you. |

But my concern is with this luggage wont it be counted as 3piece even though i have not exceeded the total weight? It wouldn't, you need to see my load when I fly ET. You haven't exceeded the 46kg but if you still do not feel convinced, do call KQ's Lagos office and forward your concerns. |

mybelovenigeria: Hi alexxo,
Thanks for being nice, helpful and resourceful.
I intend visiting Nairobi next month with my wife and kids, my family in short.
1. Pls what's the best means of transportation from the airport to any good hotel. I mean do you have Uber there too?
2. Where do I change money to Kenyan currency, at the airport?
3. what part of the country is welcoming to visitors on tourism, especially to families.
4. Where do we get to find food to eat. like restaurants.
Thanks in advance bro. Taking an Uber ride on arrival will be better. Change few dollars at the airport to cover the Uber ride and things needed immediately. Then in the morning head to the city centre and change what you intend spending while in Kenya at a Forex shop. Staying in a hotel since you will be around for just 5 days is recommended. There are many Nigerian restaurants in Nairobi, Mummy Dada is one of them located in the upscale neighbourhood of Lavington. I guess you intend experiencing kenyan dishes. |
