Sensible comment.
E tire me o! Can't forget an incident years backs where l called some idle youths in the village to come work as farm hands in the rice project l was involved in but they bluntly told me that they are not doing any farm work only for them to sneak into the rice farm at night to go steal the harvested and threshed rice that has already been bagged waiting for haulage.

The theft was traced to them, l got them arrested and locked until their families paid every kobo worth of the paddy rice they stole before they were released.

A first timer was doing watermelon, and cucumber on an acre but d results are very unimpressive at every level.
I do not encourage first-timers attempting with such expanse. Learn the ropes with half plot of land and get to experience the dos and don'ts after understudying someone who have been cultivating it successfully.

CrimeRe: Thieves Who Stole Motorcycle In Church In Anambra Beaten By Mob (Photos) by Pavore9: 3:04pm On Sep 27, 2016
What if it was a situation where the thieves were caught and beaten while Mass was being celebrated. The question will be, was there a continuation of the beating in the presence of the Priest as the pictures shows that the Mass has ended with the Priest and the Parishioners outside the Church building.

Why are people pining every crime being committed today on Buhari? Those youths in the pictures are the type who will refuse to come work for you in the farm and earn their daily wages but would always be on the look out for what to steal and sell so as to fund their weed smoking, girlfriends and alcohol.

Where is ur location? Cos ur yield is quite good. I doubt if u are in the south east
It is very possible in the east. Few years back in Anambra State, l was among those who assisted a Rev. Father in harvesting good yield from his tomato farm which he gave out to some families for the Christmas celebrations. It is possible just as growing cabbage in the south east is.

Bro all this is quite easy when you have the know how. Getting a loan and proper handle of the farm is a problem. I invested in same and the person handling same has almost wrecked me, i don't see how i can make profit from my current standing point.
Just my humble submit anyway
Knowledge is the game changer. Rather than rely on someone else 100%, do get the training so that if there is a need to get someone to be in charge of your farm because your schedule do not allow you to you will be in a better position to earlier notice when things are going wrong and have it mitigated.

What is your farm into?

6 plots of land for 50K? It must be a while when you left the shore of Nigeria. No wonder, you say you stay in Nairobi. Is the whole of Kenya up to Lagos population? I doubt.
Let's assume Ogun was still in the colonial era when 6plots of land can be bought for as low as 50K, where on earth are you going to raise 150K from?
Don't tell me you are going to apply for loan from Bank. Recession has hit banking industry.
Don't tell me you ll borrow from friends and family, they too need all the cash they can lay their hands on.
The truth is, if you can survive as Nigerian in Nigeria, you can survive anywhere in the world
I just smile over your restricted knowledge! cheesy

When it comes to Agriculture, Nigeria is a learner where Kenya is! Check my profile in the Agric section! cheesy

Yes, Kenya is about 25% of Nigeria;s population but exports more agricultural produce than Nigeria. Kenya's total fresh milk production is estimated to be about 5 billion litres annually, how many billions of litres of fresh milk is Nigeria producing or is not powdered milk that is imported that we rely on? Have you ever seen a 33,000 litre tanker filled with fresh milk on a Nigerian road or see on a daily basis refrigerated trucks filled with fruits, vegetables and flowers heading to the airport for airlifting to other parts of the world ?

I used the word lease and not outright purchase, go to the Agric section and read threads where a hectare is being leased out for less than N10,000 annually within the South-West!

You think raising N150K to invest in what l will be getting over N2m as revenue within the next 4 months will be herculean to me?....nah! cheesy

Ironically the recession in Nigeria and the devaluation of the Naira is paying me wellla! l buy a local product in Nigeria for N100 and l sell it in Nairobi for 100 shillings which is equal to $1 and the cost of bringing it over is not even up to N40. Cost of product = N140, Selling Price =100 shillings ($1).

It is not all that gloomy! cheesy cool cheesy
