State government doesn't have the power to collect corporate tax from a business entity. That's strictly a federal tax collected by FIRS. State can only collect personal income tax and development levy from the staffs of the school and from available information, the schools are complying with that.

Can you also mention any other state in Nigeria were students of private schools pay tax to the state government?

It is odd hearing students of private schools being asked to pay tax, l think private schools were asked to pay tax as a business entity then they shifted it to pupils given the impression that the State government is taxing those kids for attending a private school. The State government's side of the issue should also be heard to have a balanced view of the situation because a lot of falsehood circulates the social media.

Financial compensation to families who lost their loved ones in the exercise should have been offered while the positions given should be open yo other Nigerians to apply for.

Do we even have an authentic database to work with in the first place. There are many sectors within our economy that are yet to be fully explored while we have millions of youths willing to work. The agriculture sector can easily absorb millions of people who are willing to work within the next one year as the sector is way beyond cultivating cassava and yam! Knowledge needs to be devolved through producing educative, entertaining and inspiring agricultural information to Nigerians.
