I still live in Nairobi and many Nigerians here have issues getting money from Nigeria as most of the cards don't even work! We resort to who needs money in Nigeria and gets shillings in return. Someone had to pay N41,000 into a Nigerian bank account for another Nigerian here to give him 13,000 shillings whereas one should have withdrawn nothing less than 20,500ksh if the cards were working as it should!

stop misleading nigerians, no Bank converts your money to dollars through black market on your ATM card. This is a mastercard or visa platform and you will conform with international standards ie official rates. That was why CBN reduced the limit of spending so as to conserve the dollar used to back up nigerian tourist spending abroad.

I reside in Nairobi and used my Fidelity visa for withdrawal. Pay in N100k back then l will get to see about 51,000ksh, l withdraw the 40,000ksh which is the daily limit, the remaining l use to do POS payment down to a balance of N500 and Fidelity sent me email alerts reflecting the exchange of around N2 to 1 Kenyan shilling.

Why is the same fidelity sending an alert of N19,217 for a withdrawal of 6,000ksh?

It really makes sense. Nigerian banks have criminally adopted the dollar while exchanging with fellow African countries. Before now if one had N200K in his account in Nigeria and travels to Kenya with his/her debit card, about a balance of 102,000 Kenyan shillings will reflect on the ATM and one can have access to the entire money but today one will still see the balance of 102,000 Kenyan shillings but can have access to only 62,000 Kenyan shillings because the Nigerian banks have first converted the Naira to dollars using black market rate before converting it to shillings. So for every N200K used in Kenya through debit cards (when it does work) the Nigeria bank makes a profit not less than $350!

I do not celebrate hypocrisy neither do l rationalize it. She engaged in what she voiced against, I believe that makes her understand that we are all weak and it is God's grace that strengthens one from succumbing to the desires of the flesh.

Even after her earlier statement, She was courageous enough to carry the pregnancy to term. The cheap way out was to have it terminated it so she portrays a "clean image" before the world. It is her life, it is her journey and her destination is in God's hands.

Airfreight charge to kenya is N450 per kilo at the Lagos airport then on arrival in Nairobi is 200 kenya shillings per kilo for clearing.

OP, l can boldly tell you that your exposure is so limited! Agriculture is way beyond what you grew up seeing! Dangote said over 90% of milk we consume is imported while "small" Kenya produces about 5 billion litres annually! Do you know how many millions of Kenyans the dairy industry alone is providing daily income to? Dangote is setting up a plant in KENYA to process their fresh milk into powdered milk so he can export it to NIGERIA, just imagine what the Kenyan economy is going to gain from that alone!

They exports thousands of 40ft container loads of Avocado annually to other continent.......do the mathematics!

Most of the flowers Nigerians imports from Europe were exported to Europe by Kenya and their flower farms employ over 100,000 Kenyans!

Agriculture today is not where ONLY those who have no opportunity to formal education can fix themselves in because many Masters and Ph.D holders are so deep into Agriculture! So the mentality of "am a graduate" holds no water!

Though Kenyans are paying 16% Value Added Tax but at least it is not a generator powered economy. How has the government at all levels managed the revenue accruing from what we are already paying that should embolden them to ask for more?
