Though l live in Nairobi (Kenya) I must be honest l have not yet fully mastered the Swahili language and l am so grateful Kenyans communicate well in English, if l were in Tanzania l for don learn Swahili by force! l have interest in whatever one can achieve with what is readily available that is why l follow programmes that relates to such especially on TV. Most of these programmes are aired in Swahili but l closely follow up the ones in English and because l move around l am glad my Tecno phone TV is always with me. ![]() One of the programmes aired a young man who don hammer from mushroom farming He graduated from the university with s degree in Statistic last year and started his farm immediately (July) with a loan of N460,000 from family and friends. View the 3 minutes video at www.koboideas..com The young man in the video who showed the reporter his mushroom enclave (mud house) where he grows his mushrooms (the button variety) in bags and on shelves.. A room contains 1000bags which produces 2000kgs every 11 weeks. And a kilo of mushroom sells for 600shillings (N1, 200), so when he harvests and package the 2000kg, he gets N2.4m! and production cost no pass N300K .This guy dey hammer seriously! ![]() Abeg knowledge is power! |
Azo: Internet in Nigeria is one of the most expensive in the world if not the most expensive. I use sky in the UK and for 19 pounds which is roughly 5000 naira for unlimited and very fast internet but in Nigeria I use swift and pay 29,000 naira for just 20 Gb. Isn't that amazing? Needless to say the speed sometimes is not worth the while..N29.000 for 20GB? That is terrible! For that N29,000 l will be getting 180GB here in Kenya! |
So sad but their kenyan operations is doing well. Good and cheap calls and their internet speed is cool, which am getting 15GB/Weekly for N2,465 or sometimes their club night package which is 500MB for N38/daily (midnight to 6a.m). |
As a Catholic, l book and attend memorial Mass for them. |

A child needs to grow surrounded by the strength of a father and the love of a mother. Each parent plays a role in a child's development. Fatherhood is way beyond sperm and a wallet but the presence of security the mother and child feel. |
For me it is pap, it is not advisable taking it before heading to where you have no access to a toilet to ease yourself. |
Denn: How do you catch a monkey? That is a question that can be answered in the "spirit world". ![]() |
whichever comes first is still very welcomed, na person still dey wait for pikin after decades of marriage. though l think a female child being the first tends to help the parents in looking after the younger ones from a younger age. |
Hmm..let justice be served so that the spirit of dead and mind of the living will be at peace! |
Eyah! That place is densely populated! |
Mine is about N150, See my breakdown. l bought each of the loaves of bread for 40ksh (N76) but half loaf which is N38 is enough for me. The tomatoes there is 10ksh(N19) One big onions is N10, then half a litre (50cl) of fresh milk is N57 then one cucumber which is about N19. So l wash and make rings out of the tomatoes, cucumber and onion which l sandwich between the slices of bread and wash it down with the milk. l don chop breakfast be that ![]()

His appropriate class is Kindergaten one, where he will start with singing rhymes, identifying shape and colours, learning the alphabets etc, do not deny your child this foundation. |
Borrowing a calculator to add up other people's income is not a virtue! |
You still have hope, if you were in Awka where monkeys are untouchable, you have no hope because it is believed it played very active role in the survival and safety of Awka people. lt is said during those days of tribal and communal wars the monkeys informed the Awka people of the plot by their enemies to launch an onslaught on the town. They gave them information of where they were coming from and they took precautions. So in appreciation to the monkeys they had some sort of a covenant with them that since they had saved their lives no Awka would harm or kill a monkey in the town. If you kill the “enwe Awka (Awka monkey), you would be made to go through the traditional rituals of appeasing the land and the monkey would be given a funeral benefiting of a human being. l remember when l stayed at Amaenyi Awka, l saw a monkey hopping in the sitting room it came in from the balcony, l screamed.............. ![]() |
