It looks like the only senior World Cup that Nigeria would be playing in, next year, will be the FIBA Women’s World Cup 🤷🏾
It pains me to say this, but I really don’t see any miracle that would even propel the SE to both the African and intercontinental playoffs; and it’s especially more painful when an own goal virtually killed off any remaining WC hopes. |

Qatar hosts the largest US military base in the entire Middle East, as part of a "security guarantee."
But that very air base coordinated today's Israeli airstrike on a civilian location in the middle of Qatar's capital Doha, a city of 1.5 million people.
That is why nothing beats national sovereignty, and anyone who trusts the USA for any reason is a massive idiot. Stop hosting US military bases in your countries and work toward developing your own ringfenced solutions for food, healthcare, and defence.
If you keep relying on them, the Americans will inevitably stab you in the back like the scorpion in the story of the scorpion and the frog. It's just their nature.

The truth of the matter is that the SE should just concentrate on doing “an Egypt” by focusing on winning the AFCON, as the Egyptians did in 1998, 2006, and 2010 when they failed to qualify for the world cup in those years. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by PDPGuy: 8:49pm On Sep 05, 2025 |
If SE can’t convincingly beat the likes of Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Benin, or Rwanda, then the team does not deserve to play at the World Cup. Simple!
We should just focus on winning the AFCON in December/January.. |

diggz: Enzo Fernandez is by far the worst midfielder playing in any top club across all the leagues. There’s not a single attribute he possesses as a midfielder that makes him stand out amongst his peers. We’ve been completely scammed. We got rid of Jorginho just to buy a £100million midfielder who’s even worse than the said Jorginho in Enzo. As long as Maresca continues to play him in that midfield without another midfielder pairing Caicedo, we will continue to suffer. Nah…Enzo needs to go! Exactly. At this point, Enzo is better off playing as a forward |

diggz: The creativity upfront is lacking because there’s no midfield to support them. Literally everyone is trying to cover for the ghostworker, while he strolls on the pitch like a pregnant 10months old woman. He simply cannot play that way against Barca or Bayern, otherwise, we would be cooked |

How Nigerians consider 2km trekking always makes me laugh. 4km trekking (10,000 steps) is the recommended daily steps and most people I know here cover that everyday and even up to 6km
https://www.nairaland.com/8507851/trek-alot-should-worried-old Exactly. I can’t trade the benefits of daily cardio for anything. As of now, I’ve walked/jogged 74.8km this month. My goal is to hit 90km by the end of the month. |

semid4lyfe: The increase only applies to local applications, and I find that strange cos the exchange rate has been stable for a while.
The fact that the application fee is higher than the national minimum wage says a lot about how poor salaries and incomes are in the country.
No be na wa, na real wa. I tell you, Naija must be the only ‘major’ country (in terms of population and size of economy) where the bolded is the reality 🤦🏽♂️ Moreover, the authorities do not care about any pesky exchange rate stability: they just want more money to buy mansions, spend on girlfriends/wives, and spend on vacations |
