carbonado:Yea |
The Tunisians woke up in the second quarter, offensively. However, Josh Okogie is leading the scorers chart with 19 points.. |
Half time Nigeria 48-33 Tunisia |

D’Tigers are cruising into a 10-0 lead inside the first 3 minutes of this first quarter! Nice job from the guys! |
kokoA:🤣😂 |
lovewins:Thanks for the correction |
🚨🚨 D’Tigress have moved up three places on FIBA’s ranking, and are now ranked No. 8 in the world! 🙌🏽 They are now the highest ranked senior Nigerian national team within the last 31 years, following the Super Eagles #5 FIFA world ranking in 1994..

cococandy:Until the reality truly hits’ them |
basilico:Lol Of course didn’t fire that many employees. What I’m saying is that the general economic conditions (most of which predated both Biden, and Trump’s first term) are choking the working class |
So far, over 10 million households are either behind on their rent or mortgage payments 🙆🏽♂️ This is a pointer to the fact that the job market is tightening, resulting in an explosion of underemployment |
afrodoc2:My belle o 🤣😂😂 |
I’m watching on Courtside 1891 |
benalvino3:The issue may be affecting only Blue states for now, but you still have to think about the thousands to 100,000s of jobs that could be lost due to a sharp downturn of international tourism into the U.S. |
AndSunGorilla:He passed away the year after that world cup |
Lufthansa has had direct flights from Frankfurt to Chicago and to Boston for 40 years. A week or two ago, they permanently shut these flights down due to lack of interest. Miami Dade airport has had to shut, permanently, 30 gates because so few people are coming there that they don’t need those gates anymore. Think of all the shops cafes, coffee shops etc in those airports that have shut down. More unemployment as a result lack of customers. |
Ppogbae:For sure. The likes of Nigeria and Cameroon played the Euro teams without fear, and played with swagger! |
QueenJazz:I really meant Cameroon 😁 What killed’ that team was the shambolic way in which FECAFOOT handled their logistics going into that tournament, and the dispute over the players’ bonuses, which really affected the morale of that team. Otherwise, they would have made a deeper run at that World Cup. |
In hindsight, the best chances for African teams to win the World Cup were 1994, 1998 (Nigeria); 1990 and 2002 (Cameroon). Those teams were stacked with quality players who were playing in the top European leagues, and played robust attacking football |
D’Tigers 2025 Afrobasket schedule; August 13: Madagascar v Nigeria at 2:30pm August 15: Nigeria v Tunisia at 2:30pm August 17: Nigeria v Cameroon at 5:30pm |

Ondo state governor has donated N30 million and a house to SF defender, Tosin Demehin, for winning the WAFON.. |
Danielnino00:Bravo 👏 |
CrystalTiger:I don laugh tire 🤣🤣 |
Nigeria’s women’s and men’s flag-football teams have just won their respective African continental tournaments! Will Tinubu also reward the players with $100k each? 😂 |
lovewins:I called it 🤣🤣 |
I agree that new players should be, at least, tried out before the World Cup to further bolster the team. Thank goodness that, as African champions, D’Tigress could use the 5 games at the March Olympic qualifying tournament to try out different strategies/tactics and also gauge how the new additions would fit into Wakama’s system. Even at that, I doubt whether Wakama would ring in wholesale changes to her team. She would, at most, bring in 2-3 new faces. |
semid4lyfe:I dey tell you! But the problem may be finding a suitable period in FIFA’s calendar to accommodate the tournament |
From the FAAN MD: With the recent approval from the Federal Executive Council, I am pleased to announce that Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) will undergo major upgrades to transform it into a world-class facility. The upcoming developments include: 1. Rehabilitation and Expansion of Terminal 1 (T1): As our busiest terminal nationwide, T1 will undergo extensive rehabilitation. This includes upgrading the exterior façade, interior finishes, plumbing systems, and mechanical and electrical installations to meet international standards. 2. Expansion of Terminal 2 (T2): T2 will be expanded to accommodate more wide-body aircraft. This includes the extension of both the finger (boarding bridge area) and apron to enhance aircraft handling capacity. And existing hangars in the expansion zone will be relocated to allow for seamless execution of this project. 3. New Road Network: A modern, well-organised, and efficient road network will be developed to improve access to the airport, easing congestion and enhancing the overall travelling experience. {continued below} |
daveP:Yes oh! I want FIFA to introduce that tournament ASAP. It could be a 12-team tournament |
