My first impression about the series is poor.

Low quality set, same old cast as we have seen in many movies (are these the only actors and actresses in Nigeria ?), terrible makeup, reliance on gore rather than good story telling (what is that last picture about ? a raped policewoman with pants drawn down and her eye stabbed ? eyuk!, and whats up with the hanging ?)

I am not impressed.

Ladies. See the comments in this post. The one that really saddened me was the sweet girl who got dumped cause she was "demanding". Were her demands really a necessity or were they vain demands?

If you can afford to help out a woman you claim you love when she was in need, not out of vanity, is that a bad thing?

Maybe she was poor and couldn't afford those things she needed, if you could afford it and you've ascertained it is a necessity, is it too bad to help her out?

I pray she is able to hustle, get through this poor phase of her life by getting a decent job or business so she can stand on her own.

If you hustle your way through and become financially independent, they'll say you won't be submissive. If you ask them for money for needs, they'll say you're demanding.

If you dim your light so they can shine, they'll say you lack ambition. If you go to school, gather degrees paid for by yourself and your parents, they'll say you won't be submissive.

If you're a working career woman, they'll say you are not fulfilling your wifely duties, if you're a house wife, you're a liability.

The Nigerian woman is screwed either ways.

Make your own money ladies, work hard to achieve your dreams. Carve a path for your self and observe and look out for the one worth committing to.

That's how a lady and I were so eager for a date coz we've been talking for a year online and never actually met in person but i kinda like her and we are very cool with each other, so i decided to know her better by fixing that date, i was ready to hangout at the nearest cool spot that can be easy for both of us to get to and i hate sleeping out. I had planned going to the mall and watching movies at the cinemas with her but i hadn't told her yet. We both stay at the mainland, you can imagine her listing to me where we must hangout, that i must order uber for her to and fro. she listed like 3 places we must go to and they were all in the island. So i should stress myself in mainland to island traffic because i want us to hangout. This girl is very matured(i don't look at young girls), a graduate but not even my class in any way cos I'm older by 5 years and more comfortable in life than she is. I was so suprised but acted cool, me love my things simple and none stressful. So i said okay i will let her know when I'm ready. I've not been ready since then and i don't think i will ever be. The mentality that life can only been enjoyed on the island is a huge turn off.

This is where the yoruba adage comes in " those who have cap, does not have head" may God help us all not to make mistakes in marriage.
