Honestly u need to have a rethink. U may think its not doable, na lie. Budget and take it out and live within the remaining. U are single. U need it more now becos when u marry, its going to double. What will u do then? U are living in luxury compared to many. Just try. Im surprised oh.. do automatic savings from the bank. Dont touch it. What will you do if you no longer receive it?

Lol, the fact is that I'm spending a lot on personal development and also as the first child I've got to drop some. CFA exams standard fees alone is 1000usd and I still have other stuffs with japa oo. Anyways, thanks

I'm on 250,000 NGN/month and we are still struggling.

Food,
house rent,
children school fees,
light bill,
water bill,
car servicing,
generator and car fueling,
parents in the village,
security (vigilante) fees,
my own school fees,
too many bills jare.

Although, it became worse between 2016 till date.
Prices of everything have gone up almost 1000%.

It is unfair.
I'm on a salary of almost 400k but I dare marriage cos I see the salary so meagre for it. Sincerely, I still struggle with this ’cos I have a lot on my plate.

sinkhole:
cheesy cheesy NO. Purely on that amount!
You see, it's a long story!
I grew-up very poor, I actually did not know much about the luxury of life. When I started working after my NYSC, I was earning about 11k per month (private organisation), I was trecking all over the town and also going further in my education, then after my second degree I got a better job of about 40k per month and now I am in a place where I earned around 200k per month.
Luckily for me, I married somebody that is absolutely un-materialistic, we could go for months without buying new cloths and there will be no issue, she does not use jewelries and as long as what she wears on her feet protects her feet, she is OK wink

Please do buy her those materials things once a while even when she doesn't ask. Trust me she also wants it but she's just being considerate.

250 -350k/month. Currently, anything less than that is grade 2 struggling.

Lol, the amount you quoted is also struggling, I earn more than that as a single guy, I don’t smoke, womanise nor do pass myself but it’s still the same. The cost of living is really high this days

Things you should know about ACCA F1-F3 Foundation exam
1. It is one of the fastest ways to increase CRS
2. It is evaluated by WES as one year Canadian certificate equivalent
3. The exam is on-demand; that's, you can decide to register at your convenient time
4. Your results are displayed immediately at the end of the exam and uploaded to your account within 72 hours.
5. The exam is computer-based
6. Basically objective questions
7. The exam is all about basic knowledge of accounting, management & business and doesn’t involve deep calculation
8. Anyone can pass the exam regardless of your discipline

A quick one, do ACCA foundation diploma courses count as two or more certificates with BSC degree? Or one has to be chartered ACCA before it counts? Especially for WES evaluation.

I hope so. Im writing mine this weekend to boost my CRS

Just got a mail from someone that canada has restricted PR to those studied and are currently living in canada for now till almost half of the population is vaccinated. He advised that the fastest route is now via studies. How true is this house?

OK, in that case, you can consider a remark, or another exam for a better result. Another thing you can do which you might not want to hear is French. Do you have a masters degree?
Lol, you know I really don’t want to start learning french now but seems im really without any choice if i want to stand a better chance. Unfortunately, I don’t have masters and starting one will take atleast a year. Im also opened to any other suggestions to boost my CRS higher. Thanks

You will need to read the first few pages of this thread and go through the Anzsco website.
Sincerely, Canada is still your option cos offshore accountants is a long shot in Australia as the country has more than enough Graduates waiting to be nominated for that same occupation.
Not to discourage you, but if you intend to go ahead with it, brace up for the long wait.
There are many people here who have been waiting since 2018 and have not gotten ITA.
My advise, if you have the funds, go for it and see what the new financial year in July has for migrants

Wow, this seems really hard. I also have bsc in accounting and I’m chartered.
Age-29
IELTS- 8band
Experience-4yrs(energy & oil n gas)

Well, my babe is an IT auditor but with BsC in accounting with (CISA, ICAN & CIBN) and she has over 5 yrs experience.

Do we stand any chance or We should just concentrate on CA PR. Please be blunt.

Use the CRS calculator and see if you have a high score with the IELTS result, which by the way seems like a good result to me. If you feel you should have gotten a higher score, then go for remark.

I did that and i had 468 but main target is 472+ for better chance. Also, i am 29 already and I don’t wish to stay to long on list so that i dont cross over to 30 before ITA

TEF is not compulsory for PNP, but having it will boost your point. Check with the province you are interested in and calculate your point. If your point is above their cut off, they send you an NOI the next time they draw.

Your overall score in IELTS (7.5) does not really matter, what matters most is your score in each of the components.

Before you start applying to provinces, ensure you have an Express entry profile.
Good Evening House, i just got my IELTS results and i had 9877 in LRWS respectively. What are my chances in if i call for remark in writing and speaking. Thanks

Career / Re: Banks Lay Off 8,584 Staff In A Year by peacenaija(m): 1:14pm On Apr 27, 2021
It’s an undeniable fact that the banking sector amongst other sectors was affected by pandemic hence, the lay offs but my grouse is the 39.67% increase in executive team, these are people that takes larger chunk of the payroll so the justification of cost reduction is a lie. They can say they are strategic leaders but what is the essence of strategy that can not be executed by the tactical and operational guys that have been laid off. Obviously, there would be much work for few people and also the savings from this would perhaps be enjoyed by the executives during profit sharing and bonus. How would they cope with the skewed macroeconomic policies been churned out by the government and the food inflation rate that is poised to upward trajectory.
The banks can do better atleast their books is still showing large PAT.

All those charges are standard for all the whole banks in Nigeria.

In fact the stamp duty is mandatory by CBN, and it goes to the government coffers as tax, not to the banks at all.
So as you can see, you can't avoid the charges no matter where you bank.

Perhaps you’ve not tried used standard chartered before, however, i quite agree to your submission on stamp duty being statutory
