Congratulations, May the land Favour you. I am next in line for a miracle. IamTheJ: Honorable Nairalanders,
I have finally confirmed It's not a dream; it's real. It's PPR!!!!
Got a email notification from IRCC around 9:30 am on June 27 to check my mail for a message. Without delay and with my inner eyes raised to, and fixed on, he who lives in the highest heavens, I logged in to my portal. I scrolled up slowly as I didn't want to rush it. I saw "You have 2 messages" on my dashboard, my shaky heart was strengthened a bit because, from what I have noticed from people's posts on Nairaland, PPR often comes with it's twin brother, BVL. Yet I continued scrolling up in slow motion; lo and behold, it was PPR and its twin brother. Then I glanced at the "Final decision" section and saw "Your application was approved...". Guys! Only heaven could say how large my heart dilated in joy.
I needed to take the whole day to be sure I wasn't seeing a vision or having a daydream, and share with families and friends.
Further below you'll find my timeline. But before that, it may interest you to know that my application is quite unusual. And since I joined Nairaland, I haven't seen any one similar.
To give you an idea:
1) FIRST TIME APPLICANT (NEW PORTAL)
2) DID EVERYTHING MYSELF WITHOUT MUCH PRIOR KNOWLEDGE (submitted my application just about amonth after joining Nairaland)
3) 38 years old with very little or no secular work experience (there's a reason for that, though). Single, but not searching yet. lol!
4) Currently not working (though was doing an online course that is not even related to my prospective program - Master's in Philosophy)
5) As a logical follow-up of no.4, NO FINANCIAL/PERSONAL ASSETS declared ( there's a reason, though). Didn't submit any personal Bank statement; just my sponsor's. (People are refused visa on the basis of lack of financial/personal assets. But I got approval even without any; what God cannot do does not exist).
6) SPONSORED BY A MATERNAL UNCLE (Mum's immediate younger brother) living and working in the US as a medical doctor. (Third-party sponsored applications get up to 95 - 98% refusal; practically all approvals I've seen on Nairaland are either self-sponsored, spouse-sponsored, parent-sponsored). But I got approval; God too strong o. When he opens the door, no one can close it.
As you can see, what we call "red flags" abound. Plus a plethora of other imperfections i noticed in my application after I had submitted, as I got more enlightened following people's inputs on Nairaland. In fact, when I read people's refusal reasons and the watertightness of approved applications, I felt there was no need to keep deceiving myself. I never gave up trusting in God, though. Tell me, then, why we can't call this a miracle from the Most High.
TIMELINE
- Application Submitted - MAY 11
- Biometrics - MAY 12 ( Lagos)
- Upfront medicals done - MAY 9 ( didn't submit the information sheet with the application)
- Upfront medicals updated - JUNE 22 (after sending the information sheet via webforms and emails to Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja, and London around mmid-June)
- Eligibility Started same JUNE 22
- PPR and BVL - JULY 27
Total duration of my application is therefore 10 WEEKS and 2 DAYS.
I'll come back to share the DOCUMENTS Submitted (They are not that much).
Some unanswered questions on this thread will find responses with my case.
If you no Sabi pray and trust in God, begin now de learn am. If you no believe sey miracle still dey happen, you don see am now. lol!
KINDLY NOTE, HOWEVER: each person's case is unique. I tailored my LOE and I believe honesty pays. Know your case and present a tailor-made application. No complications.
Going to UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA. Someone told me amusingly that uOttawa visa applications are never turned down. lol! (Don't take this seriously, please). Na only God fit do the magic!
To be honest, I carry everyone here in my prayers. The Lord who did it for me will do it for each and everyone of you here trusting in Him. Rest assured of that. Thank you all for all your contributions on this thread. You'll surely smile soon, starting with the Fall session candidates because their case is more urgent. It'll surely end in praise!
I hope this encourages someone.
Thank you! Thank you!! And Thank you!!! |

My wife's PPR dropped today.
This is my first time of commenting on this thread, but I got all the guidelines I needed to package her application here.
I want to say a very big thank you to all the major contributors on this thread. I say God bless you all, beyond your expectations.
For those still expectant, God will surely answer your prayers.
My wife submitted her application on April 11th. That was the only time they sent any notification to her, before the PPR message dropped today.
God is wonderful. |

Wooow….. what a journey…. Thank God it ended In Praise…. Congratulations Congratulations congratulations…. May the land Favour you…. I am next in line I will testify tomorrow Papapa1234: Application for mother and child..
Application submitted: Feb 12
Medical Request:June 14th Medicals done: June 16th Medicals updated:June 17th and 24th (child and mother)
Bvl/passprt request : July 18th
GOD Almighty showed me mercy,he alone deserved all the Glory..
Got admission In Feb 2021..I deferred for personal and General reasons..
Knowing my profile..i knew I needed a magic touch..been reading the thread for years until I decided to kick-start this journey..
I am full time home maker, never worked and I have a long study gap, I knew I had work to do.. The reason some agents I met said it wasn't possible..
I was gonna opt for Journalism cos I majored in Arts/Humanities With the advice of Justmellow and Frank I settled for a business program since we had documents to prove that...
I made my secret findings about Frank ,everyone poured accolades and talked about his expertise..
I concluded I was gonna use him..
He did magic to my application.. he told me I had nothing to worry about..my husbands profile is more than enough to get me Visa..
I didn't even submit my personal statement of account..what the VO will see is just husband ,dad and siblings sending me money..last born palaver lol...
APPLICANT'S DOCUMENTS All Cic documents SOP(written by Frank,I proofread to my satisfaction) Unofficial Uni transcript Statement of result Business invoice Business ID Card Notarized Affidavit of sponsorship(written by Frank) Marriage certificate Change of name (newspaper pub) Family pictures(wedding pictures, party pictures, home pictures, pictures, pictures pictures..) Business documents (myself and spouse are directors Bank reference letter stating myself and spouse as signatories to business account. NIN Lassra Admission letter Tuition deposit receipt Certificate of origin Online business course( certificate) Birth cert Certificate of origin Letter from my village King(serves as volunteer letter) Letter headed company letter stating my hubby will be in charge of the business
I requested for Gcms and saw the VO right (no savings,no income)tho it was "recommended passed"(I didn't like the word recommended, I wanted it to be "passed"and VO had positive things to say about sponsor..like I said I didn't my Statement of acct..
Even though Frank said it was nothing to worry about ,I was worried and he had no choice than to tell me to quickly submit a fixed deposit..
I submitted a fixed deposit cert via webform..medical request dropped after I had submitted the fixed certificate...I have no idea if it influenced it or not..Frank said it did not..I was gonna get medical request regardless...
SPONSORS DOCUMENTS(SPOUSE)
Letter of employment Letter of resignation from former workplace. Treasury bills, fixed deposits. Landed properties Building properties Statement of account with active inflow and outflow and solid balance. Dollar Statement of account with solid balance. Work ID Card Intl passport data page Pictures of us and the kids Old pictures of us(young lovers..lol) NIN Lassra
DAUGHTERS DOCUMENTS
Intl passprt data page Birth certificate NIN Watlist form and email correspondence of my school's daycare.. Email correspondence asking my school to add her to my health insurance. Pictures of her Birth and christening.
God brought Frank my way,if you are in doubt use his expertise..no regrets...but you have to be patient cos clients too yapa..lol
I appreciate all Nairlanders My friends turned sister whom I met on this group 7COLOURS...one would think we have known each other for long...
Lekiboboe and Justmellow..big ups to you, they created a smooth path for me by answering all my numerous questions in 2020 by email...they may not remember but I worry them..
All the names I remember from 2020/2021 have gotten visas and moved on to the next level...
To everyone waiting for PPR..I will continue to pray for all hopefuls..can't mention everyone but I know God will come through for everyone of you..
My story long ,if I write the whole story..this thread won't contain us...
Ps: I disturb IRCC oooooo..no control,I sent mails morning afternoon and night.I can send webform thrice a day..I was just doing anyhow..lol.surprised they didn't warn nor block me
GOD is Good...I give him all the glory..he has given me a new song to sing...
My dreams have come alive..
Glory! Glory!! Glory!!!
Feel free to ask me questions..I will respond to the best of my knowledge...
Ignore the typos ooooo |

Jeff5gold: I miss those days of coming here to ask and answer questions regarding Canada student visa. It’s almost a year since I arrived in Canada and what I have achieved, I don’t know if I will be able to achieve it in Nigeria in the next 5 years. I was lucky to get a job at Coca-Cola which I receive $20.3 per hour. I have successfully paid my fees of 8k for September term and looking forward to pay January fees before the end of August. Why I’m sharing this is because, I want you all to put more effort in your journey to Canada if being on a student visa can change my life in less than a year with all the regulations associated with student visa, imagine if it was a work permit. Disregard those who discouraged people about the cold …that same cold I walk on it to work.
Text me when you arrive in Canada. I want to see your smile #Edmonton,Alberta I will text you when I arrive in Jesus name…. I believe it!!!! |
