@rexel99, am glad u ended by sayin "Congratulations to the truly successful ones". I tink ther's over 80% fairness in the entire processsad 1) The shortlisting for d test was strictly based on d laid down criteria nt qouta.( 2) imagine if our scores were nt shown to us, dis argument wil nt arise in d 1st place. I'd lik u to consider wat Mr Dualprince said n b sure ur guy actually scored 76, if he did let him come to ABJ on d 8th cos I doubt if any criteria can deny such a score d list. That's nt to say 1 or 2 persons didn't get in wit ther connections, bt I tink merit was considered 1st b4 any oda tin. most of us had nobody bt baba God. So far so good, KUDOS to PRESSID. Once again Congratulations to y'all who made it, to those who didn't, we truly feel ur pain bt God's plans 4 u is stil intact. Much luv

In as much as am a very optimistic person, it is already obvious that somethings r nt going well wit d scheme. Yes we should b thankful for PressId in d first place, and I tink I am. But I also feel we have rights to know what's going on abt d whole tin. Nigeria is not a place to trust a scheme just because Mr. President announced it on Democracy Day. Should we wait 4 d entire scheme to fail b4 we get someone to talk to us? Maybe, maybe not....

gzendo: The wait continues. I have an idea anyways, though I do not have the contacts I may be needing. They can afford to keep us in the dark for this long because we may not have someone to speak for us. Nobody is necessarily asking them to do what is not in their action plans, but they can at least give an update, a feed back kind of, stating clearly at what stage the process is, and challenges they are facing, if at all there is any. You don't try this in developed countries. I remember some press gentlemen were at the test venue on that day. I personally saw NTA and VOA. This means they are involved since it is a national issue. The voice of the electronic and print media, if you ask me, is the loudest in this country. The press can wade into this matter and in less than 24 hours, I assure everyone, answers will emerge. Situational reports will start erupting from all corners concerned. If the press does not get immediate answers, we all can trust them for what they can do. Imagine one of these popular news-hungry AIT reporters stepping into NUC headuarters to get answers from PRESSID committee! Immediate harvest of information! So this is my suggestion. The Press!! Can we involve them?
gzendo u knw dis is brilliant. I once said those of us in d fct shuld com 2geda n carry out dis same action plan...bt nw I tink it is briallint involvin d PRESS. D painful tin here is being kept in d dark. @gzendo r u in abj, someone nids to initiat dis move

Sayo14: @PearlAdam...I don't really know what 2 believe too...Many of my close contacts once told me dt they can vouch on d integrity of Prof. Julius Okojie...they said, he doesn't undermine merit...this gives me high level of optimism in d scheme....NOW...I'm more than confused...
hmmmm...and who knows mayb d list of dis 100 has bn ready since, n wat NUC is findin dificult is d negotiation for positions wit d skus for these 100 befor releasin d names, we can't realy tel...cos am beginin 2 feel dis delay is beyond politics or wat we r tinkin

my point exactly, it's Naija... That's why we can't even be sure if the five-year-bond thing would work... It still emphasizes how messy, things can be here sometimes, policies are quite unstable...messy, messy, MESSY! I hope (Lionel) Messi's ears won't be perceiving or feeling (like people are talking about him somewhere) but of course, we all know that Messi isn't messy...lol... cheesy IF NAIJA WAS LIKE MESSI...
Hahaha, anyway 4 thos dat wil mak it tru...ther contribution to naija somday wil mak GEJ hav somtin to rememba in his regime

xlyze: @pearlAdams...I agree with you, I will miss this thread, but hey, who says it has to stop here. Y'all can always drop ur twitter, fb, etc usernames, if u so wish. It won't be badt. Make I no sound like pastor sha, but I saw a very bright future for our 9ja when I saw my mates @ Chams n somehow I had hope that Nigeria won't be totally lost with people like u guys. Pressid aside, I challenge us all to be great Nigerians to use d gifts we posses to make THE change we all yearn for. And one sure way to do this is to embrace God through His Son, our Lord Jesus, because @ the end of the day its all about His grace and His Mercies and His love. For really, it profits us nothing if we secure this whole world n all d degrees and have lose our souls, our eternities. Y'all know where I am driving @ right?
God bless you guys...
Ah! Naim I no add pastor to ur name? Correct, am Jesus Freak too...as 4 reachin each oda afta nw, u'r on point

You know I'm going to talk, right? smiley Thanks for the love, I love you too (#noHomo). Seriously, you guys have been great and wonderful, although I didn't know most of you before now, I'll miss you by the time we're through with this.. About correcting the mess, are you sure that if things are still this messy after completing the Ph.D. & returning to Nigeria to work for five years, that most people won't return overseas to continue their life after the 5-year bond, especially if they've been frustrated by the mess during the five years in the country? (if I'm being a little bit futuristic with that question, forgive me)
Ofcours u wil tok.lol. Bt I luv ur objectiv approach to issues, bt I wona bliv wen these "best brains" return to naija, somhw de wil tak up beta responsibilty. Mind u 4get dat 5yrs bond tin, it won't work...hav u forgoten it stil naija we r tokin here?

zzaacx: I believe what the NUC did with the list was good, mainly because the current situation in Nigeria is not stable, its getting worse by the minute. if it wasn't for zoning... Jonathan would be where he is today, Zoning came along during OBJ regime (yoruba), and even now the yoruba's are crying, because of lack of proper representation in the top levels of government due to some advisor of Jonathan. I believe if you can find a good chemist or doctor in the south, you will find someone equally as good in the north. All scholarship programs conducted by the federal government eg PTDF are all done on a state by state basis, only the Ministry of NIger delta concentrates on the South. Nigeria is not used to this new system jonathan wants to adopt. for the same reasons federal character commission was created.
As much as ur argument is reasonable, we all r tired of views n opinions rite nw. We jst want to see a list frm NUC. Shikena!!!

No sentiments, even if some argue dat Cinfores exam wasn't credible enof, one tin I knw is dat it didn't tilt to any particular discipline. Road signs, current affairs, IT,verbal logical n numerical reasonings seem genaral to me. Is Waec nw a more credible exam dan d one all 449 were subjected to? my waec is gud bt dis reasons 4 delay r jst so unreasonable
