Nah, Laycon always dressed like an 80s era Ibadan superhero. It was so bad that Nengi apologized towards the end of their season for seeing Laycon moving around on the opening day of the show and asking him suspiciously - "Are you a housemate?".

This guilty conscience is probably one of the reasons Nengi always rocked the hell out of Laycon during their parties. Laycon even did nothing wrong with approaching Erica. His fault was actually thinking she would fall if he applied pressure despite knowing very well that Kidd was already screwing her brains out.

If Neo hired PR, it would have probably helped him a bit. Same as Tolanibaj. Most of the housemates, including Baye hired PR to help them while some depended on their past support.

Some of the housemate who knew they didn't get much support in their season hired PR to help them in all stars. Of course Neo didn't get much support in his season. I would liken him to laid back Eric who was his friend in his season who came to eat food and ship with woman. That was exactly what Neo did in his season too. He and Vee were always fighting over food while cussing each other sef. Eric's own love for food dey always crack me up sef. it was about food and women for him. He was with Lilo and even asked out Lilo sef but as soon as Lilo left, he quickly went to swallow large mussel of noodles 🤣 and then proceed to cuddle with another girl as quick as possible 🤣 I think it was with Wathoni who was previously eyeing Kidd. Then he came to the reunion to say Lilo didn't date him. Lol.

That said, Housemates who didn't get much support in their season ensured they hired PR this time around. But I don't think Neo & Tolanibaj did.

What's probably been helping Neo a bit at times is Beauty's PR/blogger campaigning for him. So he's got a PR after all. That made me think Beauty could be dating him after all. But I wonder why he denied Beauty to Tolani while adding that it was Beauty chasing after him. Because if he had told Tolanibaj about Beauty or any girl from the start, Tolani wouldn't reason him to begin with. I mean Tolanibaj was flirting with others at the beginning sef. Lol.

As for Prince, he's always been a laid back guy too. What helped him in his season was Nengi buzz, even as people were wondering whom Nengi would choose between Ozo and Prince, considering Nengi wasn't committed to anyone on the show until Nengi eventually turned him down. Then there was Tolanibaj's ship. Then he rode on Dorathy buzz/PR on the show sef, especially since no one knew if he and Dora would date or not until outside when they eventually did.

He was also competitive and didn't like loosing. Drafted in as a fake housemate to all stars tho, he would probably be more laid back.

Baye will win - unless somehow Spartans and Mercenaries get severely irritated. Baye can't be disqualified, she has become the baby of the house. Mercy is very perceptive sha, CeeC is still supremely confident in her fanbase (with good reason), and WM has since conceded after Ike's stunt that Baye has already won. Time will tell, but i'm 97% sure Baye has already won.

Second, Ijaws are still in Bayelsa, Edo, Lagos, Ondo(Apois like Sowore) and Delta. They fought the Itsekiris(Omashola's people) in a bloody ethnic clash in Warri.

Third, Pere pointedly once told Omashola to calm down with the Warri thing as he's also a Warri guy himself (born/bred), even though he's from Bayelsa like Nengi and Trikytee.

And no, I disagree with you that Angel is just as provocative as Baye. Maybe you are mistaking SYE Angel for All Stars Angel, they are not the same character and I believe I already said this over a week after the show started that Angel had changed. She is not as provocative.


I understand your need to give this such a special branding (we see this every year, somebody tries to convince us that this winner is so different from the last one, when in fact, they share the necessary similarities and slight differences), but there is nothing about her potential win that will be so out of place.

And certainly nothing that will make it a point of discussion at any Reunion.

You are talking about the Reunion as if it is viewers that will be there. It is not. Nobody will analyse any win. They will just talk about the events of the house, tell us what happened during Pepsi trip, mention any other things that may have happened in their personal relationships with each other, hopefully throw a few blows, and call it a day.


Nobody will sit down and start analysing how Ilebaye is such a great gamer. The greatest highlight to her win will be that she is going to be the First Gen Z winner and the youngest person to win the show. That's it.

Well let's wait for the reunion. And no, Baye isn't the first Gen Z to win. Efe (24) & Miracle (23/25) already beat her to it(They were Millennials then sha). She'll be the youngest though as you already pointed out.

Neo has never been a major hit with viewers, he's just never that guy, always comes off as a background player. I don't even think he "plays it safe", I think he's just generally a chill guy, so, he comes off like he's playing safe, but he isn't. That's just everyday him. Not very good for reality shows in general.

It just goes to show that even if Biggie brings people of different personalities, there are just some personalities that are not Reality TV material. Neo and Prince are two people that fall into this category- likeable guys, but not quite for Reality TV

Prince is different. He could have been reality TV gold, especially as he looks like a gigolo/playboy. But he and Neo have strangely displayed none of the sexual carelessness people expect of them.

The reason why a person wins the show has never been the focal point of any Reunion. The reunion is just to clear up some of the drama that happened in the house and some that may have happened outside the house that is connected to what happened in the house.

Nobody is going to ask, "So, why do you guys think Baye won?" or any question that may even be related to that. Dem never ask question like that in 7 seasons, so, why will they ask it now?

Baye's case is different. It's the first win that happened because of a somewhat one-sided depiction of events/majority of viewers misunderstanding events portrayed to them.

Efe came with the poverty theme (this was before the era of deliberately gaming viewers/strategy). This was unplanned but manipulative and pretentious. At the reunion he was rightly lambasted by housemates like Tboss, Gifty and Miyonse.

Miracle played a neat game selling his real personality (unplanned)

Mercy came with her killer fashion sense, enhanced body, party highlights, ship with Ike and feud with Tacha (spontaneous, unplanned).

Laycon was probably the first real gamer to win the show, looking poor and evoking the pity of viewers for being rejected by Erica which almost even snowballed into an ethnic issue with celebrities like Teni suffering backlash from viewers. It was later we knew that he actually hired a PR team (planned).

Whitemoney took gaming viewers to a whole new level, actually second guessing viewers and even identifying presumed strong housemates (planned).

Phyna rode off the pity wave that came from being part of a section of housemates that were called "The Trenches". She looked like an orphan and played the part - only to come out and at the reunion say she played the game and won as the best gamer. I don't believe this though, she's just too unrefined for that sophisticated level of pretence (planned).

Baye claimed to copy Tacha, but the truth is she didn't act anything. She was genuinely rude, provocative and unable to handle her liquor or fascination with boys. Egged on a malicious Doyin, she would act up and then cry when she got fitting reactions, but we almost never saw the beginning of her fights. With the exception of the Uriel incident and beef with Doyin,we never saw her provoking other housemates despite this being confirmed by them.

She wasn't the only provocative person (there's still Angel), but she was the youngest, silliest and smallest, making her fit the profile of the victim bravely standing up for herself against condescending, high & mighty OGs. Ike trashing her clothes was the last straw. Arisers, looking for a feel-good story plus content, jumped on it. Only gamers like Frodd and WM clocked that the narrative was favouring her when they noticed she kept surviving eviction after eviction.

Baye planned none of this, but Biggie failed in its usual standards of objectively showing the viewers events as they unfold. By the time the housemates had gotten wise, viewers already had their minds made up. It was unfair, but e don happen. Some viewers even saw Doyin as a heroic friend willing to fight injustice on her friend's behalf instead of a lonely, deluded, bitter, Hot and unattractive clout-chaser. Kidd and Pere should have lashed out and threatened legal action in the diary room for having their video linked to Ike's very cruel act against Ilebaye. So Baye's win will be the first and maybe the last of its kind - a mistake. What no one doubts is that she has already won.

Venita and Adekunle's storyline might stand the test of time, or they'll reenact Emmarose.

Pere was right. Frodd wasn't only the daddy of Pepper Dem , he was the daddy of Alex, Angel and even great at giving Ilebaye tough love.

WM and Chizzy see him as some sort of mentor. He seems to have been quietly even involving ex-housemates in deals outside the house.

Mercy really saw him as her emotional fortress.

It all makes me think the crying Frodd of Pepper Dem was clearly an act. Fatherhood, money, marriage and a new sense of responsibility as a daddy, husband and di okpala has turned him into a real odogwu.

Okay everyone, Venita's accent isn't forced. She did her first 5 years in Benin and then basically reached far adulthood in the UK, living in the same hood and attending the same university as Uriel.

Venita simply frequented Warri to the point where she mastered the Pidgin . She also reps Warri more than the likes of Efe and even Neo. Many IJGBs that grew here for a bit can flow in any of their English accents. Tiwa Savage had a thick foreign accent when she returned and it affected her Pidgin. Maria's Pidgin was bad but luckily her Igbo is untouched. Tolani successfully mastered both accents. Kidd's Pidgin is getting better.

I can actually hear everything Venita says. She just has a husky voice (like a chainsmoker), beside many British people can't even speak their own language properly (hearing Kidd and Uriel talk was a chore!).

I'm actually enjoying this DS with Cross. Very affable nitwit!🙂

Win or lose, Baye is the breakout star of this season, achieving a notoriety that surpassed that of even Phyna. She will leave the house with humongous fame, but will she be able to take advantage of it? Is she really just a good girl needing guidance instead of a baddie? Time will tell.

At this rate we might not be getting any new highlights out of her, she lost Pere, only to have more parents in Venita, Mercy,WM, and now Prince/Alex. Even CeeC indulges her now. Venita achieved the biggest victory by breaking her free from Doyin.

This might still revert to a battle between CeeC, Mercy, and WM.
