Hmmm, i got the shocker of my life on saturday when i went for my first scan, by LMP i should be 16wks by first week of may but according to scan i'm 16wks today....hmmm, i always use that scan center even in my previous pregnancies cos the scan is mostly accurate. I went in and lay on the bed not up to 5mins i lay on the bed, the next thing i heard is...''Congratulations.....you are having two babies"....whaaattttt? I just jumped off the bed immediately,i was about to run out of the room when the man held me and dragged me back,even the man himself was scared because for like 20mins i was just staring at the man like it seems your scan is no longer accurate. After much calming, he then said he was only joking. I said it better be a joke cos i can't remember when i asked God for that, even though i admire twins but i never open my mouth to ask for it before, even when someone says that prayer for me i send it back to the sender immediately. So i told the man neither myself nor DH has twins in their family so where will it come from and i warned never to make such jokes with me again, haaaa! After the whole drama, i left the room but the sonographer then called in DH privately to give him the scan result and told him that he wasn't joking but that it was true ...JESUS...when DH came out and showed me the result,tears started flowing down,i started thinking....where will i start from,how do i cope, we're not rich,we're just OK.Look at me still complaining of how i will cope with 2super active kids+another preggy with no help + working from 8-5,haaaa...who send me message, how did it happen? I concluded i will try another scan center next month.....i can't believe it yet......Right now i need a miracle in my life!

I took alot of Lipton when I was pregnant and it was cos it helped me with nausea and vomiting that I experienced throughout the pregnancy. But I always added lots of milk.

Do everything in moderation. Eat healthy

Tnks so much, yes I drink it daily o, but will cut it down, cox Dh has started singing baby weight to me. Tnks once again

Babies are the most efficient parasite in the world. They will take and siphon what they need from the mum. So sometimes it really doesnt matter what you do.

Genetics has a bigger role to play in the size of your baby than what you eat. At 20 weeks your baby is still developing. It is from 36 abi na 37 weeks that all they do is accumulate fat!


Just try and eat healthy, and anything fatty or sugary eat in moderation if you can or reduce the quantity (sometimes its hard to do as those cravings can derail all your good intentions.)

Never assume you are eating for two. I think they say is only 500 extra calories a pregnant woman actually needs (gist! Easier said than done!)

If you drink the milo every day, perhaps you can substitute it tea with honey and lemon or omit it every other day to cut down. Drink water instead or freshly squeezed orange juice.

On the Milo ish, I don't know o. I'd just advise you eat healthy, cut out empty calories, take lots of fruits and vegetables and if Milo and milk is your fav drink then by no means indulge in it. I don't think it affects the weight of the baby (other Sabi mamas go shook mouth).

Sabi abeg helep me ooo, by God's grace I've crossed the 20weeks mark...yeahhhhhh...it seemed like forever, but thank God.

I'm thinking of switching my normal Milo n milk breakfast to Lipton with enough milk. This is to help me control baby's weight the best I can in order to avoid tear or episiotomy abeg. I'm I on track? Should I ?

Has ur water broken? If yes those are stages of labor.

Those cramps are contractions, are they regular?
If u arw not sure of the regularity, download a contraction timer n time the contractions.

TT. Is an anti tetanus giving to every woman of child bearing age. The first 2 doses are taken one month apart and a third dose, i guess 6months after which cld be after delivery of LO. ITS IMPORTANT you ask them. You can visit d hospital To take the shot instead of waiting for your next appointment.
