Good morning mamas in the house, happy new month to us all, this ia our Month of Joyful news and we cant start to hearing joyful news from our March Mamas

Pls i will like to be enlightened because it seems a lot has changed here,

Some years back, we used to have
Prayer mondays, bumpy tuedsays , foodie Saturdays, etc here

I want to find out if all that has changed or it has been moved to diff days. Those things used to make the thread more interesting,

Pls i wish to be enlightened so i can follow up well, because i think Ms has left me for good now

I woke up on the 14th of February with terrible stomach pains. I was rushed to d hospital and did scan . Was told d hernia in 3 places had become strangulated. That I and baby are in distress I was 34 weeks 2 days then. I planned for a C-section at 37weeks. I couldn't bear it cos d pain was not stopping. I was wheeled into the theatre ND brought out 3hrs later. A lot of repairs were made...the diasis recti, appendicitis plus patching of d ruptured uterus. I thank God for life. Baby came out 2.1kg not breathing well. We were referred to a general hospital. That's another story.. 4 cylinders of oxygen, treatment for high bilirubin. It was traumatic but I thank God I and baby are home and doing fine. It was just God all the way.. Team March..I don port oh..Edd was 26th March.. Birthday...14th February. Gender...XY

Sorry ndi nne,back to my story.
I insisted that they should refer me to another hospital,I told them that during my first birth,I was given oxytocin,I was in pains with just 5seconds interval between relief before contraction,from 11am to 4pm,I know the trauma I had then,I don't want to experience it again,my husband told them to refer us,that is when they calmed down,lol,they were doing that their normal harsh voice,madam this,madam that.
Kept telling me to calm down,let them help me,I said lie lie,I am leaving,we left the hospital to the place they referred us to,I can't explain the distance,it was far,bad road,with strong contraction if just 10 seconds relief.i kept screaming in the vehicle,thank God it was 5am in the morning,so no vehicle was on the road.
We got to the hospital,haaa,the doctor is not there,that he is coming ��,when he got there,I thought he will just take me into the theater immediately and do the CS,but he started asking questions,blood group,blood percentage,urine test needs to be carried out,he then said mam,you are already close to 9cm,but your cervix is still swollen,let me use the drip on you,you should not suffer in vain,I shouted at him eeh,I thought this is y u came here,don't try to do anything I have not consented to on me,if not eeh���,I said I don't want vaginal delivery again,na by force,I was in pains,after shouting,I will shout at the hospital staffs,loll, well,they took me into the theater,giving me lots of drip,to calm my BP,to prevent bleeding,I was told that I should not try to push oo, because the contractions was giving me the urge to push,since we were in the other hospital,I kept resisting,cus I won't bear suffering bleeding and C's at same time. Well the CS was carried out,I was given this general drugs and not the spinal cord stuff,cus na inside one thing rolling me round that I saw myself �,those that went through CS will understand this.
Now to y I made mention of not doing the 9months scan,my baby was cephalic in the scan,so I was careless enough not to check at 9months,I said there is no point since I did it close to the 9months.
When they brought out my baby,it turned out that my baby was facing up,oh my godd,how was I supposed to push a baby facing up? Is this y I suddenly became stubborn and insisted on CS,if I had taken the oxytocin,and my cervix softens,what will be my baby's fate while struggling to come out,since she was not in the proper position. The doctor just told me,your stubbornness saved you,I knew God was involved.
I can't put down all,but I know i have passed enough message.
We will be one month in two days,I am perfectly ok,the doctor is specially made by God for CS.
Hope I don't bore you with long story��
Writing this is hard,I am a very lazy writer,loll!

Long story, i went for scan first week of Jan and was told i was 8weeks. 2 nights ago, i saw a dark blood like stain on my pant, so i went to the hospital to see a doc who sent me for a scan. I was attended to by another sonographer, he told me i was 17 weeks and i was shocked, cox its supposed to be around 13 weeks, i went back to the doc who told me to go for an external scan in echo lab, cox he too was surprised at the difference from my ist scan. So i went for the scan today and the scan showed 17 weeks just like the one of yesterday, infact the sonographer said the baby he is seeing can't be 13 weeks...in all I'm just grateful to God that this was sorted now... So that's how i drew my conclusion.

Another Pointer, i was supposed to renew my injection on the 16th of October last year, i didn't renew till 5th Nov, from my calculations pregnancy took place in October which made the Nov injection not to work.

Let me share my BA, it might encourage some pple here.

I don't even know where exactly to start. I have been visiting the TTC thread and this thread long before I even commented.
Got married to my God's gift to me really. A perfect gentleman and God's beloved. Took in the next month and birthed our angel without stress. I didn't know trying to conceive can ever be difficult, not to talk of almost impossible!

Miscarried the first pregnancy that happened even when we weren't trying.
Then I started having chronic tummy pains. I did all the tests in this world, MRI,CT scan,all the scans u can think of,yet nothing was seen!
But I kept languishing in undescribable pains! Oh how I wept each pain episode

I started numbing the pains with an addictive drug,because normal pain killers cant do it.
I decided to try again, I stopped d drug,and conceived again. I lost this one in the most brutal way....
Was at work,and had a sharp pain that brought me down. I was carried out.
Started having rectal pulling. Was rushed to the hospital,and was told it was ectopic

I died that day. I wailed! I started bleeding.
I was scheduled for an emergency. Darling hubby rushed down becos we weren't together cos of work. I went in for the surgery,the surgery was done. Again nothing was seen!!! No baby,no issues with me, absolutely nothing! I was wheeled out

That was my second miscarriage. The baby obviously left bfor I was wheeled in because I kept expelling some things at the hospital while waiting

I started trying again like mad. If u have ever had a loss,you will know exactly how hurting it feels and the urgent need u get to try again.
Tried and tried and tried,nothing again after a year of the second miscarriage.
Pple have started making side comments; do u still have only one child? Isn't it time for ur child to have siblings,etc
If I that have one suffered like that....I don't want to imagine what those without are going through!
Hubby decided to come home and stay more with me cos of the undiagnosed pains and all.
Took in again,this time around,we decided to keep it to ourselves.We were in intense prayers. Did scan and everything was ok.started duphaston.
3 months later,went to do scan and received the most hurting news; the heart has stopped! that was the third miscarriage.

The pain I felt can't even be described at this point. We were like ghosts.hubby and I. We missed the turn to our house while going back. It was horrible. I just kept sobbing. You can't hear me cry,but tears kept pouring down. Unstoppable,heart wrenching and excruciating.
I refused to remove my baby. I wished he/she will just start the beating heart again. But nothing. God said not yet.Hadto take drugs to expel it,and bled. After the whole process. We stopped trying.we said let's rest for a while.
I even started a contraceptive immediately. Taken once monthly. Took it twice and decided to wait for my period to start bfor I will know if my cycle has returned.....my period never started. I even went to do scan,the radiographer said I had PCOS,cos he saw many eggs. He didn't know they were eggs that stopped growing cos of the contraceptive I was on. We kept waiting for the period.
After some time,we just decided to do pregnancy test just in case,came out positive!
U see,when God decides to bless you or do His thing,He definitely needs no permission and He makes it perfect!
I was placed on progesterone insert and vasoprin. It might have helped but I know God was in charge.

I started bleeding at 34weeks, because of placenta previa. Was rushed to the hospital and had emergency cs because I lost some liquor too with the blood and baby was at risk.
In few minutes,I held the most gorgeous baby u will ever see! God's perfect gift to us!

What do I want to say?
Hold on! Your miracle is on the way,whoever you are!

Momas pls help.

My baby suddenly started having this white looking patches on his skin ( they look like eczema) at first I was applying sudocream, when it didn't work, I bought baby tribotan yesterday and started using. Has any1 experienced such? Will the baby tribotan work? What could be the cause? We are using boots baby soap and cream. Im considering changing the cream and soap . Pls respond.

My baby of 3weeks has catarrh n cough, pls can I give vital c? I applied mentholatum on my breast to help relieve the nose for him. Pls momas help

Mama do not apply anything. Ring method heals on it's own, your Dr should have explained the method to you nah.

The water is not to fill the baby oh, it's just a little water like you give after baby finishes a formula feed. Cos formula is more likely to constipate unlike BM

I assumed this was clear from my post but let me just clarify

I did. BM alone wasn't filling my son so from day 1 he had BM and Nan. Yes you need to give water. And it's absolutely fine. As you establish supply you can give more BM than formula but just interchange with each feed.

Is there any1 here that did mixed feeding for their baby? My boy doesn't seem satisfied with just breastmilk, I've been giving him both breast milk n formula, but I'm not comfortable at all.

people are ooo, especially when the word natural/normal delivery is used to describe vagina birth, I also think CS should be called natural/normal delivery too via C's.

Don't worry MoMA, our baby will come, obviously he wants to be an October baby...pray always, talk to your baby and listen to your doctor . I am waiting for ur announcement of my birth month baby

Baby never come oo, and I no see labour sign oo, abi is it because am a JJC. I feel kicks here and there, tightening in my lower abdomen sometimes mild cramps and a clear watery discharge with some white bits just this morning. I was at the hospital yday, consultant said till next Monday if no show nah induction dem go do.

Mamas please keep me in your prayers. I really wish this labour will come even if they will later augment it. But above all I pray for easy, safe, stress free and complication free delivery.

Peggygee for recovery from my experience
1. Follow your doctors instructions carefully. There are different types of incisions and stitches. If they say don't bathe, don't bathe. If they say come for dressing every other day, go. The care of your site plays a role in your healing
2. Don't carry anything heavier than your baby. At least until the stitches go out. No superhero moves. Walks are ok but take it easy so your body can heal
3. Once your doctor okays it you can wear a post partum belt. Note that post partum belt isn't a waist trainer. Personally I don't believe they do anything, I just ate healthy and worked out when I was able to and my tummy became flat again
4. For the stretch marks they will fade with time. Personally I use natural products for my skin. Ori and coconut oil morning and night.
