Hi all,

I am an HND graduate in Urban and regional planning. I am presently working with a govt parastatal as a Town planning Officer (3 months) I intend to do HND conversion to B.Tech before applying for NZ skilled immigration permanent residence. Kindly avail me of the necessary steps to follow prior to my application. Do you think the conversion is what doing prior to getting more years of work experience?

My questions are:
1) I want to do an HND conversion to B.tech in order to have more work experience prior to my application to stand a better chance when applying.

P.S. I have been reading from page 1, I just need to know if HND conversion is a right thing to do.

If you are going for a conference related to your job description it doesn't make sense to apply as a business man as unless the conference is also related to your business.

It's an annual conference and related to my job description. I'm just wondering because my salary is way small compared to the returns I get from my business. Thank you for your input.

Now, I just got a 70k LASG job and have my payslip and salary account statement plus pension. In addition, I still have a company I'm running with CAC cert and doc, Company payment invoice, Tax receipt and account statement to show for it.

1) Does my previous profile affect my new job status?
2) Do I need to apply as a LASG civil servant or as a business man?

In whatever you do, don't go to a polytechnic please. I'm an HND graduate and the discrimination is beyond reasoning. Aside from that, B.sc graduate would be placed above you especially in a Govt sector. All the best in your decision.

So I met a nairalander a couple years back in the literature section. I was drawn to her by her posts (o boy she could write a believable fiction)and I kept reading and keeping tabs for weeks till I eventually started a conversation on one of her other threads and after a few days i got her contact and we got talking.

In all my weeks of reading and following her posts , I had a mental picture of how this lady might look like ( the face , the complexion, stature an all) . It was on whatsapp I got to know how she really looked, although she was pretty... she was on the plus size and that was a turn off for me then. But we kept on talking and it got to the stage that we talked everyday.

The second month after we started chatting (April) , we decided to meet ... nothing fancy just a normal restaurant where we can talk. I arrived some few minutes before her. Some minutes later , I saw her come down from the marwa where I was seated, she was putting on blue dress. I didn't know when I shouted " o boy , this girl fat oh " I'd seen her pictures before but I never knew she was this big.

After the date, she called and I didn't pick , texted and I didn't reply , "whatsapped" and I left unread. I feel bad for what I did , I shouldn't have done that ...even if I couldn't date her I should have kept her as a friend (she's still one of the most brilliant person and the best fiction writer I know)
