Engineering student and P.E student, both are uploading clothes on WhatsApp status(this is not to demean anyone).


Those things only seem like a big deal when one is seeking admission, in retrospect, they don't really matter.

And besides, all fields of study are a waste if you're not in an enabling environment (Nigeria)
And all fields of study are worth gold in an enabling environment. So simply search for that enabling environment.

The Last pics is used to compare the sizes of the hybrid and our local tomatoes using the cup as a measurement

I kept maintaining the land, clearing of weeds as I have done from the point of transplanting till they got bigger and started getting ripe.
That's when I noticed a total difference between our local (normal) tomatoes and the hybrid type. It's far bigger and fleshy compared to the local ones and has a faster growth rate.
I decided to share this because I saw a post making a guy feel less important because he asked what's the opportunity to in studying agriculture on Nl.
The point is anyone can do it even those that study law but tbh, there is a lotta difference when u study something and you also put your heart into it you will always find out more when you stay devoted.
It's obvious during this lockdown that even if everything goes down someone must keep producing the basic needs of which food is part of.

Good day to everyone here in the agriculture section.
I will be posting in bits
Pardon any error encountered during the process of reading this, I will try to keep it short.
I decided to go into farming during the lockdown period since schools we're shut down.
I started planting the tomatoes (hybrid seeds)in a nursery tray and pure water sacks on march 29th precisely.
Before planting the seeds I already filled the sacks with soil and manure and made whole into the sack so as to allow drainage.
After 2weeks and a few days I decided to transplant to my already prepared ridges and provided a support system made with bamboo, barbed wire, and twine rope to keep the tomatoes, upright and prevent falls during a heavy downpour.
At week 9, I noticed some have started flowering and it seems like it's attracting insects, so I had to spray with insecticides and make sure I kept providing support for the new branches producing flowers which will later turn to fruits.
At about 3months I noticed most of the flowers have started yielding fruit Probably attracting a certain kind of green worms, making me spray again.
