I think my jigsaw puzzle on the role of okorocha in the APC primary is coming together and getting clearer now. Won't you just love the politics of the APC. |
ProfessorPeter:Akwa Ibom has been under the spell of Akpabio with lies and boastfulness his hallmark. I pray someday the people really get involved in the political process of the state. The idea of carry go and na him time must end. There should be accountability and probity in the utilisation of the resources of the state. May God help you people of those stAte and the oro people in particular |
ProfessorPeter:So udom is not good enough? You want APC governor but PDP president. Why not vote PDP all the way? Heard Tabasco is the senatorial candidate of the PDP eket zone? Una never ready for emancipation in akwa ibom. |
The chairman of the APC just echoed my thought of Okorocha giving the best speech amongst the contestants yesterday. Congrats to the APC. |
Bmark:Forget the sir thing, on nairaland we are all.equal. nothing gonna happen. He had said the book was already published 3months ago what took place 3days ago was just mere launching. The court said he should stop the publication of the book so he could claim semantic of words to beat the court process. He has Chief Afe Babalola as his lawyer, I'm sure baba fear no court or foes. It will end up as a court mumbo jumbo soon and will be soon forgotten. The court ruling just made the book more popular. Obasanjo loves and crave controversy. |
sandraokosun:Trust me Buhari needed their support else it will.always be a case of nearly and almost. The PDP has a formidable war chest made up of our commonwealth from oil blocs allocation.to their cronies and juicy contracts and import waivers which they expect the person who got them to do a return favour. The APC has made a lot of inroad since its creation and.the merger has done a great deal to our democratic process Remember PDP once said they will rule for 60years, it wasn't a fluke or mere gossip, the way the opposition was structured then was purely in their favour buhari have a lot of machinery behind him now than ever. |
StainlessH:Don't really know much about the politics of Abia and why it seems they love mediocrity and bad governance. Used to visit Aba from my base in Akwaibom back then in 2003 till 2010. I buy parts for my cars at Alaoji and do some beaf shopping at Ogbor Hill slaughter. At a point I stopped because the road between Ikot ekpene and Aba became a nightmare and up till date it remain.same. one need go through villages with boys charging per vehicle for passage. Heard it is still same and one begin to wonder why.successive governments in Abia state have failed the state. Was thinking with Alex Otti in the race and his experience in the banking industry he will bring succor and some needed change but alas he was given the Soludo treatment in Anambra.. Ogah, ihejirika, emeka worgu who I felt should make reasonable impact were edged out by ochendo. The indigenes of the state have a choice to make in 2015. Let them choose wisely |
berem:No party has done what the APC just did today. The delegates list was sent to all candidates. They met them and were allowed to mix with delegates from.each.states The proces was open and fair all through. Fayemi directed state chairmen of the party to forward all lists of elected delegates to their committe for onward delivery to the candidates. Never in the history of Nigeria did that happened. The delegates were free to do as they pleased. Their phone numbers were on the list forwarded to the candidates. The process was free, fair and open. All a candidate need do is to convince the delegate to change their minds. Which Atiku really did too well to try induce them. Can see why Fayemi lost the election in Ekiti, he is too refined to be involved in bad dealings. |
queenna1:Every politician uses such ventures to launch themselves in the consciousness of the People. kwankwaso pulling out would have hurt his own political aspiration in future. He needed to test his popularity and this avenue provided a good one, Nda Isaiah knew he won't win but through this, he has provided more exposure to.his businesses and launched himself into the heart and head of Nigerians. Politics is like a chess game. |
Bishop4bella:For sure Atiku would have won, but the fact remains the PDP would have shouted hallelujah because the necklace of corruption he wore around his neck will play well into their hands. Atiku has massive support and structures around the country. buhari's biggest threat was this primaries and him scaling it makes the dream of a new Nigeria closer to reality. |
realK:I'm APC all through bro, blood and water. I've never voted PDP since 1999 so I can't never be said to be apolitical. Who won't love the APC and what it represents. JAGABAN you're a true enigma. |
What the primaries has shown is that Buhari is not gonna do it all alone. He has a whole lot of political gladiators who are driven by the abyss the present government has led the Nation behind his candidacy. Aside monetary support, he now have massive structures behind him, he has the political sagacity of Tinubu and the craftiness of Obasanjo behind him in the south west, he had block votes from the south west today. He has the love and followership of Okorocha and the input of Ngige in the south EAST. He has the vexation of Amaechi and closeness with princewil to rely on in.the South south and the recent coup of Wike in rivers just got him more supporters in Rivers state also the imposition of udom Emmanuel in Akwa Ibom just earn him the Oron and uyo senatorial district vote there too. In the North, I think he need not campaign. His public relations and packaging is now a party affairs and there is a large unending financial muscle behind him now. Let the PDP bring it on, JonaTAN is his own undoing, he shot himself in the foot badly Sai Buhari 2015 |
The APC primaries has come and almost done but the real strategy and power play with horsetrading, intrigues, permutations and high power politics exhibited by the combination of the Tinubu, Amaechi, Oshiomole, and Rochas Okorocha were the factor behind the victory of Buhari today and not the political strength of Buhari. THE PLOT. Atiku has a strong economic and political ties in the South South, he equally is seen as a moderate Muslim to most Igbos who feel more comfortable with him than a Buhari, who have been labeled without an ounce of evidence as an Islamist. The thinking in the Tinubu's camp and the okorocha's led Progressive Governors forum was that Atiku will surely rip almost the votes in the South South and south east based on his closeness with policitical actors in the region and hence the need to water down that advantage. it was here, the thought of an Okorocha Candidacy crept up, with Okorocha in the midst, Atiku influence and block vote from both regions will be strongly contested with. Okorocha is sure of getting the Imo State Governorship Ticket, the fact there is no serious contender for the ticket was a plot in the grand coup of Tinubu and Amaechi with all APC governors in the plan. The LOBBY AND OBASANJO'S HAND. Rabiu Kwankwaso was appealed to to step down for Buhari so as not to share the Votes of the North West that ordinarily should favour Buhari but he was adamant on not going out of the race, so when Tambuwal's Emergence came through, the whole political calculation in the Race for the vote of the North West was further thrown into a crazy frenzy, hence the leaders of the earlier mention plot met with Obasanjo to appeal to Tambuwal to pull out of the race, this yielded positive results and played a vital role in the emergence of Buhari today also. MY WATCH. Obasanjo too wanted to play the little he felt he could, by the time conscious launch of his memoir MY WATCH, the sole purpose for the launch when it happened was to further dent the image of Atiku before the Delegates and help the course of Buhari. There is no doubt Obasanjo not for selfish reasons this time but in the interest of the Nation feels the country need a Buhari kind of personality to pull the nation through the drama of hopelessness it is presently facing. Forget Kashamu, he is just an excuse. watch out for more clandestine maneuvers in the Obasanjo's camp for Buhari. In all the winner of todays Primary is not just Buhari, but Nigeria as a country, the APC as a Party because the candidacy of Atiku would have caused the Party more baggage of Corruption-tinted Atiku Ticket which the PDP will take advantage of, this warranted the desperate acts of the governors to see sense with the Tinubu's plan of a fully backed and mobilized Buhari candidacy. Welcome to Freedom Nigerians, the change we crave is right here, Rejoice and be glad in it. All permutations are solely mine. MODIFIED..... Hope some doubting Thomases have now seen the coming to fruition of my permutation. Rochas always had Douglas house in mind. The presidential ticket was just politics and it serves 3 purposes for him. Long live the APC Sai Buhari 2015. |
barcanista:I don't see fayose as governor beyond 2015, with the legal issues surrounding his candidacy. The court go comot am once JonaTAN is voted out |
barcanista:Fayemi does not play the rofo tofo brand of politics that is prevalent in the South West, remember Tinubu drag him from Ghana to run for governorship. He believed his performance will earn him the ticket not knowing thuggery and the brute deployment of military forces are essential part of our politics. |
ruffp:That's my sentiments too. I feel with him and Fashola on the Ballot in 2019 or 2023, the nation can and will experience massive growth and development. I think the choice is clear now, either Nigerians decide to go with continuity of the present state of hopelessness or seek a change that the likes of Okorocha, Fashola, Buhari and others represents. The party is lucky indeed, eminent intellectuals AMD technocrat abound in the APC. |
barcanista:Between 21st and 23rd by God's grace. fayemi just organised one of the best convention in Nigerian history. I duff my hat to him and other members of the convention committee. |
@ mikeansy I think you are doing the quote a lot of injustice, he is not saying the head of state is not normal but rather questioning his judgement. State of the head is about certain decision that one take with other considerations not necessarily because one feels it is the best option. It wasn't an insult |
barcanista:Any of the candidates will do for me, if Buhari does not clinch it, his support and backing of the person who.does will heal a lot of wound. But I don't see Buhari losing anyway. |
maclatunji:Okay, maybe I didn't hear that part well then. Thanks for the correction if you're right. |
kossyablaze:Bros why you dey vex na? PDP dey do.their own convention, why not tune to NTA abi. Owelle na our own o |
barcanista:I am, was thinking someone will step down in his speech but it seems we are in for a long battle amongst 5 galaticos. I'm okay with any these 3, Buhari, okorocha and Kwankwaso. Will manage Atiku though but Nda Isaiah looks to me like a JonaTAN to some extent, he seems not really prepared |
Today I heard the fiery oratorical skills of Owelle Rochas Okorocha for the 1st time and I really see a future for Nigeria with him. "There is nothing wrong with the head of state but there CAN BE something wrong with the state of the head" Wow Owelle stole my heart tonight if I was a delegate, he surely would have had my vote. I hope the Igbo will Allow him and support him in the near future. He seems the surest bet to Aso Rock by the Igbos. The man is sound. |
barcanista:Hmmmm, not with what I'm seeing and feelers reaching me here o. atiku release enough war chest and the North East seems on Lockdown by Atiku.right now. Kano delegates will vote 90% for kwankwaso, Jigawa and Kebbi he will get massive support too. It is a nice primary and a joyful one indeed. It is a nice event really |
barcanista:Lolzzz, Atiku has too many baggage and will be a hardknock to sell, though he is a candidate that can fund himself without much financial burden on the Party. I pray Buhari gets it, Kwankwaso's candidature will divide the North West vote. Tot he stepped down before |
barcanista:It is not a lie. You forgot he is/was close to late Shehu Yar Adua who Abacha locked up then with Obasanjo and others. He lost his son in the episode, he was shehu's boy and rose through the ranks in the customs by virtue of Shehu's tutelage and backing so it was understood why Abacha was not comfortable with him. |
barcanista:Are you streaming it online ni? Atiku's speech is nice and detailed. He is a good candidate really just tarnished by corruption allegations. |
barcanista:Enjoying the whole arrangement and planning just the speeches that were too much. Kudos to Fayemi and his committee. Really impressed |
barcanista:Lolzzzzzz, no mind am. You never sleep too? Don't tell me you want make them declare the results before you retire. |
kossyablaze:You no get TV for house ni? |
Hmmm there seems to be tsunami ravaging the PDP in Akwa Ibom state. First it was Chief Umana Okon Umana today while watching the All Progressives Congress primaries and the speaker's goodwill message, I saw Robinson Uwak in his entourage and even Abike Dabiri was surprised too meaning it was a surprise. Does it mean the oro nation has risen against the imposition and rejection of their quest and cries for equity and fairplay? Anyone in Akwa Ibom and Oron in particular who is on ground should let us know the situation on ground. Modified... Just heard there was mild drama and riot in oron town on Monday after the gubernatorial and national.assembly primaries in Akwa ibom state. Cars bearing stickers of udom Emmanuel were burnt in uya oron, people waiting for primaries elections in Oron stadium were told election already taking place in uyo while candidates and delegates were waiting in oron. Uwak and most people at the stadium there and then declared for the APC with massive mobilisation in oron town. Indeed 2015 is pregnant for JonaTAN and the PDP with the shoddy primaries the party conducted. Na blessing for the APC sha. |
Can see why the TANdroids and GEJ's boko boys chose to bomb Kano today. So it was meant to derail the APC primaries. God has been revealing una plans |

Well, it doesn't matter to Buhari now, only he kwakwanso could have stood a chance for some good appointments.
