If Negotiation was an option why wait for 5years to do so after the lost of many lives, properties and wastage of military hardware? GEJ said generally in various press briefings that BH does not have a face so they have no party to talk to that's why negotiation wasn't viable. Does it mean BH now has a face?

Even if you will negotiate should it not be a hidden thing out of public purview? America and Iran are sworn enemies on the diplomatic front yet they both joined hand in the fight against ISIL. Our national pride and image was dragged in the mud in a yet to.be explained and supposedly covert operation.to buy arms to fight same Boko Haram.

We have spent close to 3Trillion Naira in defence funding in 2 years yet no result but more lost in military hardware and personnel and also.lost of territory.

MY GROUSE: If the GEJ led FG had negotiation amongst it's option why did they live in denial for 5years? why not persue this option.as adviced by the then Action Congress in its numerous press briefings? Eminent Nigerians have advised this option for years but our FG continued to tell us they won't negotiate with terrorist. Why did they now swallow their vomit? The Presidential Candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) retired General Muhammadu Buhari yesterday in Jigawa State described the allegation of corruption levelled against him by the President Goodluck Jonathan campaign team as “nonsense, untrue and unfounded.” The Director, Presidential Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Mike Omeri had in a press statement accused General Buhari of exhibiting double standard in public administration while in government.

Speaking to newsmen in Dutse, General Buhari said there is no iota of truth in the entire allegation, adding that “what happened was that, we have a policy during my regime that anybody that comes into the country his/her luggage should be checked at the Airport”.

Later in a statement issued by his spokesman, Yinka Odumakin, Buhari said, “Our attention has been drawn to another lousy outing by President Goodluck Jonathan’s ‘Chemical Ali,’ Mike Omeri, who ran to foul the atmosphere with a thoughtless charge that General Buhari is not sincere about his resolve to rid Nigeria of corruption.”

He said Omeri’s only evidence to support his assertion is the fabled “53 suitcases” of 1984.

Buhari explained thus: “in 1984, the Emir of Gwandu whose son (Almustapha Jokolo) was ADC to General Buhari was returning to the country from overseas. The head of state, on learning of his arrival, asked his son to go and receive him at the airport as they were only playing squash at the time.”

“Coincidentally, the Nigerian ambassador to Libya at the time, Dr Tahir Waziri had arrived at the same time with the emir with his three wives and 16 children. They all came with their belongings as he was coming home to take up a new appointment as chief of protocol to the head of state.”

“It was the suitcases of the family of 20 that were counted as belonging to the emir and falsely presented to the public. General Buhari has over the years asked those who have questions over the matter to go to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who was at the head of Customs operations at the airport on the day,” his spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, Buhari has asked Jonathan to explain “what happened to the case of N104m seized from Nancy Ebere Nwosu who allegedly swore to an affidavit to the EFCC that she was laundering money for Dame Patience Jonathan.”

He also wants the president to explain “the announcement by the then EFCC spokesman, Mr Osita Nwajah on September 11, 2006 that the sum of USD13.5 million was seized from another associate of Mrs. Jonathan which the anti-graft body said belonged to the now first lady.”

Buhari says Nigerians need an explanation on “who presided over the FEC meeting on October 2009, where a 4 km runway at Abuja Airport was awarded for N64bn? Whereas, late President Yar’adua was already in Saudi Hospital as at the time!”

Also, Nigerians need to know “what happened to the USD30billion Yar’adua left in the excess crude account that is virtually empty now?

The spokesperson explained that no amount of cheap blackmail will stop the desired change Nigerians are poised to effect in April polls.

I thought Nigeria can only procure arms and military hardware through covert and third party agents since we are now in the calibre of ISIL and the Mexican drug lords that can't do legitimate and verifiable military procurement. Ridiculous when Government spokesmen and illeducated and uninformed supporters try to place us along the likes of North Korea and Iran. Pariah states with UN resolutions/sanctions hanging on their head against international deals in military procurement.

Nigeria as a member of the 15 Nation highest ruling body of the United Nation (the security council) now buy piece meal ammunition from a nation that equally buys arms from developed countries through unscrupulous and tinted individuals. We are a bonafide and respected country across the globe, we can buy arms and ammunitions from any country in the world ready and willing to sell to us as evidenced by this deal or was any Israeli involved again? The problem with some of us is that we don't bother to read as long as it shows APC winning a motion against PDP.

Nobody is against deploying troops, what we are against is using the troops to intimidate, harass, arrest and kidnap opposition elements as was the case in Ekiti, Anambra and Osun Elections. The power to seek and request for troop is now domicile in INEC if they see the need and not with the president who feel he must do anything to turn the tide of votes against his interest and his party.

They needed to keep vigil to checkmate and preempt the already jaundiced and bias military that will attempt to mount roadblock, divert traffic, close and frustrate border crossing along neighboring states all in an attempt to prevent the massive crowd that will be at the rally. Wish I was in the country I will keep vigil along with thousands of patriotic and change loving Nigerians to show support and love to this man of exemplary and great leadership.

No state is made up 100% by its indigenes. APC will surely get chunks of votes in the SE and even in Bayelsa state and Jonathan too will get chunks of votes in Borno and Kano.

What you have said is true and the PDP would definitely capitalize on the ethnic/tribal card to fight a Fashola candidacy.

But lets examine it this way, imagine Nigerians are presented with a GEJ vs Fashola choice?..

If this scenerio arises, first of all, I can bet my last buck the entire southwest and Lagos would go for Fash.

Secondly, even though the domineering and tribalistic northerners would be greatly disturbed and sickened that APC isn't fielding a northern Hausa-Fulani candidate, I can bet my last buck they would rather have a Fashola meal instead of a Jonathan any day; in fact, they would rather vote a goat instead of Jonathan.

Lastly and most importantly, the Jonathanians of the SE and SS extraction; I can assure you that most of these people do not really like Jonathan and most are actually aware of his incompetence and shortcomings. The support for GEJ is rather due to a hatred for the domineering attitude of the North. While a lot would still remain Jonathanians, I am sure a lot of these people would reconsider their Jonathanian allegiance if they are presented with a non-Hausa-Fulani northerner. Fashola is the only candidate from the APC that can have this effect on the SS/SE

My brother, if the APC field Okorocha next year be rest assured he will only win in Imo State out of the whole South East and it is not because he is not Igbo but because an average igbo man sees an average northerner as an enemy and Islamist and the APC represents that to them. So the APC is not bothered about the two blocs per se outside Imo state and Rivers/Edo state.

No government has ever polarised Nigeria along.ethnic and religious divide the way the present administration has done. We've had Muslim Military Head of State with absolute power to Islamize Nigeria even.Abacha the worst despot didn't , yet they labelled a man of.Integrity and strong character as an Islamist since they can't wear a toga of corruption on him. Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia and Egypt are 90% Muslim countries but have their leaders Islamized them. Yet we hear and read from.dull and those who can't think.by themselves calling a leader whose personal driver of 45 years is a Christian as an Islamist.

If Jonathan had perform and taken decisive steps against corruption and physical and social infrastructure development across the country in the last 5years, I don't think next year's election should have been.a worry to him based on the overwhelming support.and goodwill he had post yar-Adua.
But what do you have? A rogue trader, an economic saboteur, a bank loan defaulter, a shrewd and irresponsible businessman who duped his own kinsman is the National Co-ordinator of TAN a group canvassing the return of the C-in-T that should tell you how low the government can go.

We can't continue along these path of national destruct the PDP represents since 1999. fashola or whosoever not even Alex Ekwueme can defeat Jonathan in some South East states so why bother. The good thing is the vote strength of just Lagos, oyo, kano and Kastina will equal all the total votes cast in the entire SE and SS. Let them continue in their delusion.

No sane nigerian will wish the country to continue the path PDP has led it in the last 15 years

Fashola truly would have been a great bet at the presidency but we need to understand the multiethnic and tribal diversification that makes up the entity called Nigeria.

1999 was purely a yoruba presidential race between obasanjo and olu falae based on the injustice done to MKO Abiola in 1993. It was a general consensus to give it to the yorubas then.

Now if the APC should field another Yoruba man eight years after the generosity of other ethnic groups to deny people of their tribe from expressing their fundamental right on the altar of sacrifice and national unity, then it will be unfair and an injustice and selfishness on the part of the yoruba race. So common sense and national consideration doesn't favor fashola for now since the yorubas benefited from a special waiver in 1999.

Nigeria belong to all of us. No part of it should monopolize power perpetually. Let it go round.
