It is a major ego trip. Nothing more.If things dont go well there could be colossal loss in life and property of a kind we are too poor, too corrupt, too short-sighted to deal with.

Lagos is not desperately short of land to warrant a project of this kind

Hard to tell what the true inspiration is behind this project but it remains a hard sell to any reasonable person. The whole idea is flawed top to bottom. The board behind this initiative will soon realize its folly. They  will eventually pull the plug and then as usual, heads will roll.

It will not be the first misadventure in the private sector in Nigeria. We have seen it happen before with some high-flying CEOs. They carry out dubious calculations aimed at spectacular acquisition and license procurement in the end they fail losing billions. The difference here is that all the money will be going into the atlantic.

Looking at Lagos state and its land mass, not more than 25% is built up. So it will be wrong for the govt of that state to give any kind of support either as tax break or whatever or howsoever. Any such assistance should be investigated.

Drug trafficking in Nigeria has entered open season/ free for all. The sentences they get when they are found guilty these days (which is rare) is even a source of motivation.

Well done boys. And girls who care to join. But stay away from Indonesia and Singapore where ur arse is officially toast
Politics › Re: Naptip To Jail People Who Have Housemaids by Pennywise(m): 1:53pm On Jul 13, 2010
Many housemaids are better-off than workers on govt's minimum wage. Our 'honourables' may be blind to this fact, but it is reality.

if he values family more than work then he should maybe try feeding/housing or clothing that same family without job and see how that work.

seriously, i doubt anyone would be able to sustain caring for their family if they dont value/respect their work and on the other hand, whats the point of having the greatest job on earth if you have no family to share the riches/proceeds with?!

they both feed off each other, one without the other is pointless!
Rubbish.

What Anabel is saying is that she is not getting enough sex from her husband. What I want to know is when was the last time she took the initiative in bed? Does she give blo job and how often?

I have a friend who can never be interested in any girl that is less than 110kg. The problem is that his own body weight (complete with boots on) is only half this.

LADY OKIKI:
Outbreak or not there is a risk of throat cancer from MouthAction that doesn't mean it is set in stone and yes we all do it and enjoy it but the slight risk still remains a possibility. So be free have and give as much as want your mouth your choice
If it is not set in stone, then it cant be proven. If it cant be proven, it is unscientific. If it is not scientific, it is garbage like a whole lot of things we say on NL. Dont u think?

Family › Re: Is It Proper To Make My Wife Next Of Kin? by Pennywise(m): 12:10pm On Jul 10, 2010
Of course your wife should be your next of kin. If anything happens to you she will know how to take care of her own.

The issue of family interlopers comes in when you were not properly married. In any case today's Nigerian woman is ready to take full advantage even if the marriage was contracted in half.

Imagine if it was Nigerian Police that was in charge of the investigation. Mr Ogunmola would have been dead meat! His family would have sold all they own to gather his bail money grin
Absolutely. The DPO will then call a meeting of both parties where there will be reconciliation. This is to be sure the matter will not go beyond his head! No case. No court. Mr Ogunmola will forever live with the stigma.

There are already licenses so why is this news,  My dad had a license for his double barrelled gun
I stand to be corrected but as far as I know, there is no legitimate means at the moment to acquire a gun in Nigeria. No new licenses are being issued. You need to have friends in high (to tweak the law) and low places (get the tool) if you must have one. A lot of responsible pple just dont want to be bothered.

Check out USA 4 example,
Nigeria is not USA, and USA cannot be Nigeria. Now ponder this scenario. It is a real life story that played out in a major Nigerian town a few years ago. A gang of 5 breaks into a compound and attempt to gain entry into a bungalow. They couldnt get through the burglary proof. After a long period of trying (and shooting), two of them entered via the roof. The husband was instantly murdered and the wife brutally raped by all five robbers.

Stories like this is not in any way unique infact they abound. I consider the man and wife victims of a bad state policy not that of robbery.

As some one said, guns do not kill people, people kill people. If you are determined to kill and you have no access to a gun, you will get something else. The state should not continue to tilt the scale on the side of criminals and nefarious elements. There should be limited and controlled ownership of guns. Yearly license renewal does not make sense along with the entire laws regulating firearm possession in Nigeria.

Its even more painful when u realize that the combined mental bandwith of all the honorable senators is less than half that of a US senate member.

Imagine-"hardship allowance" how unimaginative can you get to cover your thieving track. A pry school pupil will be able to think up sth better that truly makes sense.
Politics › Re: Edo State Kicks Off State Id Project; Oshiomhole Registers and Receives ID Card by Pennywise(m): 1:50pm On Jul 01, 2010
This is a project that failed totally at the federal level with huge pay out to its architects. It is a justification for the collossal sums diverted already for other purposes so Oshiomole will have sth to tell EFCC when they come calling. On the face of it, it is another stupid policy of govt but beneath is a desperate attempt to even up the books before an election year.

Oshiomhole what a disgrace you are to labour. Scammer midget.

luap:
If you need to cheat, maybe you married the wrong person? The person you marry, should be the most desired person in the world. If you don't have that, think twice about marrying, she may not be the one.

Nothing like coming home after a long days work, and being with the person you love. Nothing like making love without sheets and the lights on with no inhibitions. The person you marry, should make you feel like your true sxual self. Be free and completely who you are. If you do not have that, then you probably will cheat.

Myself - my wife knows I am a sx freak, My hobbie is the karma sutra, and everyone knows, even my friends. I also carry a cello case that holds all my sx accessories (vibrators, lube, candles, clothing). We go on holiday, and I bring my cello case. Sometimes people think I am a musician and will inquire. The wife smiles at me, she gets a kick out of it. I have yet to desire other women, cause really my wife gives me what I want!!!
Gerhout!

@Op.
If beauty is the deciding factor for marriage in a world that has diverse/varying kinds of beautiful women it stands to reason that no man can realistically be expected to be faithful. I think.
