You'd be surprised at what a real stud can do. Some guy was still doing it at 86.
I have no intention to stop even at 90. But why so many wives. Abiola had like was it 20 wives. God knows how many concubines. In the end he chose to subject all his offspring to the horror of DNA tests.
Foreign Affairs › Re: South African 1st Lady Pregnant. Paternity In Doubt by Pennywise(m): 4:00pm On Jun 08, 2010
Lets create time for a little maths. Three wives in their 30s will require like three shags each per week. That comes to 9 encounters/wk for Jay Zee. In the real world a man with 3 wives will have a minimum of 3concubines. That comes to 18 mandatory shags per wk.

Now if this 68yr old man is permanently high on viagra and does nothing else (including being president) how can he meet up?

@Aisha2
You are feeling low.Well, that is understandable. At least 4 out of 10 pple feel this way in any given year researchers say. But suicide tots? That is heavy. It is serious. It is urgent in its need for attention.

Being suicidal is an admission that you lost. You need to fight back, go after your traducers if that will give you peace. Be like tpia and say to hell with them all.  cheesy

Be happy. Life is too short not to be.

You have pple in by far more precarious situation. How you deal with it is all that matters.

You can see life as sea waves with peaks and troughs. The peaks will come and you will enjoy it too.

For those of you who are bickering, shame on you all.

The SECURITY of a COUPLE depends on their FIDELITY.
Anyone who cheats on you can as well kill you.
This is a lie from hell.

With all the actions going on you will expect to see bodies everywhere but you dont. Where do you dream up all these from bro?

Some mistresses actually believe this kind of thing- that they can breach a secured marriage or relationship to earn themselves a place. It hardly happens and when it does it is not always because of intimacy with a third. Check it out there is always other reason

Se.x is a purely physical activity. Affection is emotional. It is wrong to assume they are always mutually inclusive of each other.

I personally can kneel for my partner(husband, not b.f, fiance, etc) as the loving demands. but there are a million more ways dan kneeling down to show respect.
Not a bad idea. considering ur husband will be kneeling for you all night long, most nights.

Politics › Re: Senate Proposes N15,000 Monthly Salaries For Unemployed Graduates, Aged by Pennywise(m): 1:47pm On Jun 05, 2010
@Topic,
This whole idea captures the thinking (or the lack thereof) of Nigerian lawmakers-simplistic, idealistic but unrealistic, foolish and ultimately dangerous.

How can they begin to contemplate such a huge welfare payout without a corresponding increase in wealth generation. When you multiply that with all the problems of a mindlessly corrupt bureaucracy, inadequate and ineffective law enforcement, unreliable and corrupt statistical data etc etc most of which are yet unknown (but with us nevertheless) Nigeria will end up with an inflationary rate far worse than Zimbabwe's yet certified graduates and the genuinely aged are still not getting any money.

I sorry for these legislators. We 've never had it so bad. They should realize that this is not about counting the nos of 'honorables' in the house and working out how much each will take home from a given 'action'.

Career › Re: My Boss Hates Me Because I Bought A Car by Pennywise(m): 5:19pm On Jun 03, 2010
This whole thing about starting your business should wait until you gain a reasonable amount of financial independence. Otherwise your dream will forever remain a mere dream.

Regarding your primary headache, you have to understand that there is no such thing as a perfect workplace. The devil can present as a co-worker, supervisor, driver, an insurbodinating surbodinate, just about anyone trying to eke out a living as you-be it in a one-man biz or multinational. Infact the kind of jealousy, envy, backbiting etc that goes on among some multinational staff will make you think your boss has a heart of Gold.

The question is are you going to start looking for a new job each time you disagree with someone? No. Make the best use of the opportunity that God has given you until you are fit enough to move on.

In the meantime enjoy your new ride. Look up old friends especially those who are still slapping. Let them know its not easy.
Family › Re: Should A Married Lady Ask Her Very Rich Ex-boy Friend For Finaicial Assistance? by Pennywise(m): 12:19pm On Jun 02, 2010
This scenario plays out all the time especially if the wife is a 'wise-girl'. And no the husband usually doesnt get to know. If the girl wants to keep things straight and let the husband know abt her intentions and he accepts, things can get unpredictable when they are out of the woods.

If a woman must then she must not disclose and she has to be prepared to deal with the emotional fallout of an extra marital relationship that often results esp if she keeps going back.

You also have the occasional shameless husband who will put their wives on the forbidden path for cash or contract.

Selfish and irrational deduction. A pretty babe doesnt need to be in the bridal train to get attention. A wedding can be taking place at the altar while the principal object of all the gentlemen's attention is at the back of the church. Her calculation will only be meaningful if she tells Ms pretty - "you are too fine pls dont come to my wedding".

Pro01,

I dont know you from Adam but I do know the work of a professional hack-writer when I see one-this is a bit low class but yet unmistakable.

Go tell your peeps that this is a waste of time. Efforts should be directed at preventing Ibori from being extradited to London from Dubai. If he goes to London, a minimum 5yrs in the slammer is guarranteed. Those pple are particularly deaf to crowd renting and hack writing. And then pray the US does not show interest in this money laundering matter b/c I am sure he must have taken some of the loot there too.

Nigeria is where it is b/c pple refuse to speak against evil. The ones who speak and occupy our political firmament are the ones ready to perpetrate evil for recompense.

Corruption is our biggest problem. It is the reason Nigeria must remain on its knees. Our legislatures are blind to the fact that the laws against corruption are weak, inadequate and infact encourages rather than deter corruption. Enforces have been pauperized and will connive with accused person against the state. The deprived and oppressed citizens too seek patronage as hack-writers, rented voices and foot soldiers in this melodrama. While the thief calls the shots.

Romance › Re: Are Igbo Girls The Most Beautiful Girls In Nigeria? by Pennywise(m): 3:30pm On May 22, 2010
Where you dont have definite statistical figures conventional wisdom dictates that you rely on personal experience. Therefore, I can with certainty declare that Igbo girls fine die! Certainly not all parts of Igbo land.

If I was to start looking for a wife right now I will be looking at the northern part of Igboland-mostly in Enugu/Nsukka axis (as well as Edo north Auchi- Afenmai). They come tall, slender, shapely, fine mostly fair and you can take the boo.bs and ar.se for granted.

I did my youth service around there. Thank God I left b/c I wonder what my life would have become.

Do you have any statistics to prove childbirth only affects Nigerian women in the manner you've described here?
In the absence of hard data, observation can be based on empirical evidence. Since this is not a scientific forum I consider his hypothesis valid.

Romance › Re: Falling In Love With A Married Man by Pennywise(m): 6:11pm On May 21, 2010
Is it really possible for a girl to be in a relationship with a man for 2 yrs and not know he is married? Yes it is to the extent that nothing in life is impossible.

More likely the girl is aware, hopes sth works out inspite of that and if the relationship turns sour she finds herself a good safety net by pointing to the man's marital status (she tried to ignore).

I find it absurd that any married man would lie about his status in the first place. Being married will suggest maturity, stability, dependability, security- all features a lot of girls desire in relationships added to that is the fact that he is not likely going to discuss your intimate secrets with friends etc. So these are traits to have.

However you may have boys who are married and that is where we may have problem. Here, anything is possible. So If you get yourself involved with a married boy, you are in soup.

I hate to say it but I consider myself guilty of an offence some pple made earlier on in this thread-not reading the story!

It appeared the baby had a simple scalp laceration that was repaired. The mother failed/neglected to present baby for follow up treatment resulting in ?wound infection, blood poisoning and other complications that resulted in the baby having neurological problems etc.

For all we know blood poisoning could have resulted from improper cord care which is a common problem in our general hospitals but usually does not result in long term complications b/c of the liberal use of antibiotics with some help from cooperative mothers which this woman is clearly not. Even if it is a direct result of the scalp injury the woman is more guilty than the doctor in not making the baby available for continued treatment.

I do sympathize with her though. Inevitably this can be linked to poverty and illitracy a direct consequence of state failure.

It's horrible that such a thing happened. D health sector needs a complete overhaul 'cos its a disaster as it is.

There's no point complaining when nothing would be done. We just do not have enough specialists in the first place. If we did, then a medical officer (PMO or not) should not be in the OR doing the job of an obstetrician but unfortunately, this happens all the time. Although in this case, they CLAIM to be have been performing the procedure under specialist supervision but I very much doubt that.
I think this doctor was either being reckless or made a genuine mistake that a simple enquiry will unearth. From what I hear C/S is a basic straightfoward surgery that is quite easy. I understand that in some east African countries nurses routinely conduct this surgery (and are cert to do so) esp in rural practice.

This should not be the basis over which Nigerian medical practice should be judged.A mistake is what it is. If the doctor is considered reckless then appropriate sanction should be meted. Also our obstetricians should be held to higher goals rather than dexterity in what is a very basic surgery.
Romance › Re: Nairaland Relationship, How Far Do They Go by Pennywise(m): 12:23pm On May 19, 2010
Relationships are created daily on NL, but can these relationships be nutured by NL? I think not. Grab your partner and run.

Long ago (now it seems) I likened NL to a beer parlour and this has been re-echoed by other users which means it must be true. Granted that the objective of any particular relationship may differ-marriage/long term, short term or extremely short term, it is inexpedient for both to remain regular at the same B/P.

Besides, what you have said on the record may create a dangerous minefield for future relationships. Which is why the pennywise brand is wholly unmarketable as relationships go.
