U1: The two are basically the same. Main difference lies in the fact that primary bills are fresh issues by the Central Bank, while the secondary bills are resold bills.
For example, when someone buys from the primary market and wishes to sell off before maturity, another person buying such bills will be doing so in the secondary market.
For this reason, you can find many different tenors in the secondary market, including 70, 88, 122, or any other number of days. These are the remaining number of days before the maturity of such bills.
But you can only get 91, 182 and 364 tenors for primary market bills. Good stuff... For those resold bills what determines the rate, maybe using 182 and 364 days as case study respectively ... |

Good day Nairalanders, I've been a devotee of iOS devices all my life, ever since the then popular symbian n java phones had a major phaseout but due to the nature of my new job (phone app/software development and blogging) I decided to diversify few months ago to getting an android device (Tecno camon CX) my very first android phone ever...but I have noticed something with the photo when I take pictures few minutes later I encounter challenges viewing the pix, all I will see is a white at times black blank space with an encryption that says "CANNOT GENERATE THUMBNAIL" and I have some vital pix I'm to work with which are on the phone but I'm unable to view them. Phone techs in the house what could be the likely cause A friend of mine suggested memory space issue but I have nearly unused 32gig memory card on the phone. Lala Mynd44 n co. |

U1: Op, I think it's more feasible expecting to make such returns by doing a business with the money. Treasury bills, which seem to be the best paying, safe investment, currently pays only about half of what you are aiming at, and that's per annum.
If there were investments that meet your criteria, many people, including I, would have rushed to it.
And by the way, primary market treasury bills starts at a tenor of just 91 days. You can even get shorter tenors in the secondary market. Thanks a lot, I would have embraced business since I have some laid down gainful business ideas n plans which is the project I talked about but for now I just need a monthly yield off the 500k no matter how small it is, but let it be a monthly inflow. For Treasury bill, it would have been a perfect idea but the hindrance with it is the timing. Can you break down the primary n secondary Tbills and how they work. Thanks! |

Pentools: Warm greetings fellow Nairalanders. I have a quite perturbing issue at hand when it comes to most reliable and relatively secured investment mode for a spare 500k
Having read so many threads on investment, specifically on investing 500k and other diverse amounts am still not appease with the response(s) provided. Perhaps my own view n expectations regarding the investment ideas given are somehow dissimilar.
To trim the matter smaller, I have this spare 500k I should be using in 6months time for a project. But instead of bagging the money idly somewhere in the bank, I'd like to get a clear and detailed financial advice on the possibly best and secured way to utilize the money within this space of 6months not uttering in anyway the subject money itself.
I once thought of Treasury Bill but I learnt its minimum is only but a year am now considering Fixed deposit but dunno the better bank with reasonable rate for Fixed deposit, most importantly dunno if the decision is financially right enough.
In as much as am not after the bigger ROI, I just need an investment opportunity that gives me at least 25-30k at the end of every month with my initial capital still intact.
Please beloveths your advice and opinion highly count, cherished and welcomed so so well..
P.S no suggestion of opening a business, shop or office of any sort since the money would be spare just within a six month interval, no ponzi, hyip, or shady/unknown online biz . Thank you!!!! Uncle lala please please and please make the thread known by showing it some love. Thanks! |

The game is in sync with the season... People downgrade this show a lot... I watch it for a reason.. The show has so many subliminal messages being passed on every occasion... The moment your are able to pick the message and decode it and watch the result pan out, you become curios to watch more.. thereby increasing you reasoning and detective capacity....
Now, how many people saw this coming? Ebuka kissed Bam Bam on the cheek when he entered the house... Was is that simple? No. He played judas, the one i kiss is the one you take Would Bam Bam resurrect back into the house on the easter day to reign till the last day and win the price? That s another discussion for next time..perhaps an April fool Until then keep watching... The shallow in heart see the top only, the deep ones see the bottom... There is more that meet the eyes than you see.... Its @Deepwater for all....Dont drown
Same way the house mates were asked to pick the envelope last week with a guaranteed sum and leave the house. that was when i knew wisdom is profitable and the house mates are all daft people.
The instruction was clear from biggie, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE 84TH DAY, PICK THE ENVELOPE AND LEAVE NOW that envelope was a cheque of 45M for crying out loud... that is the money to be issued on the 84th day.... while didn't anyone notice that.....The statistic is clear, the average so called social Nigeria doesn't reason deeply, all they do is complain Much sense made already. Quite deep,,,,deeper than first cut. |

Kenneth Okonkwo should stick to acting. Enugu is too big for him.

Career › Re: How To Have A Good Time Doing A 9 - 5 Job by Pentools(m): 3:00pm On Mar 30, 2018 |
JARUSHUB: Adedamola Okubanjo
Working a 9 - 5 is considered by most to be stressful, life-draining and the hardly fun. I don’t agree with them. Most people are just doing it wrong, they refuse to set out plans that can make their work better. Here are some personal tips I have tried out and identified that they made my working experience more fun, less stressful and enjoyable in every sense of it
Live close to your workplace
If you are not a BOSS that has a nice car and a driver, please try as much as possible to live close to your office or workplace. This will enable you have more slumber time and to resume early for work. Resuming early for work makes you look super serious and this will register in the sub-conscious of your bosses. Tardiness gives you a bad reputation.
You will be able to prepare for work better and also have time for yourself when you get back home from work early.
Car pool if you can
If you have a co-worker that lives around you and owns a car, why not car pool with them to and/or from work. This gives you time to bond while on the journey and also time to catch a quick nap before you get to your destination. (not that we are taking advantage of them. You could even contribute a little token for fuel purchase.)
Carpooling helps cut transportation expenses and reduces the stress that can come with public transportation.
Have a great and comfortable work-space
This refers to the set-up of your work-space in the office. Have a good chair for proper back support. Make sure your laptop is in good condition and also the table must not be too low or high to enable you view your laptop screen well. Organise all your documents well, a scattered table means scattered work. A well organised desk makes you structure a mental to do list. Put all pending documents in a drawer and only arrange the document you are currently working on in front of you on the desk. If your chair/laptop/internet provision/Air conditioning/lighting is not good in the workplace, please endeavour to tell the employer and press on the issue as it would be of great benefit to everyone.
Refrain from joining factions or gossiping
Offices are like classrooms, you go there every day to develop yourself and in turn meet people from different background, having different interests and characters. Like minds are bound to gravitate towards each other creating some sort of clan or grouping in the workplace. You are bound to have some people you like more than others but refrain from gossiping or cutting yourself off from some of your co-workers. Have a cordial relationship with everybody no matter how much of a pain in the rectum they might be. Remember you are there to get work done and develop not register with a faction.
Collaborate and get involved
Collaborate with others but don’t get distracted from your work. If there is an activity outside work that you can get in on, why not? But if that activity would impede you from carrying out your primary responsibilities, respectfully decline stating your reasons, there will always be a next time you can help.
Office romance can be tempting, so think before you kiss.
An interesting one. We are humans and we get closer and closer and closer and before we know it we are dating. In the workplace this might create tension. If you are developing feelings for a co-worker it would be good to identify your organisation’s principle concerning that. If your organisation accepts such then you have to clearly ask yourself what you want from such relationship with whom you are interested in. OP I just dey look you sha cus u never jam crazy and malicious boss or colleagues. Its never easy as u think, genuinely search deep inside you, then you will see its never easy as it sounds, and no justification for a 9-5 job, its simply slavery. Moreover I bet you are not even employed probably you're on some copy n paste shiiii. Self employment/entrepreneurship is a wonderful experience, have a feel of it n be glad u did, quit giving vulnerable n gullible ones bubble high hopes. No job out there and the available ones can never worth the 9-5 u put in,not with this horrible naija work settings. Think peace of mind n freedom, think entrepreneurship or even partnership. |

SnakeChopMoney: Wow
If you have the opportunity to leave this country and never come back please do. I so much love Nigeria to the extent that i will die for Nigeria, come back to life and still die again for Nigeria but i had the opportunity to get a dual citizenship in a country i now call home, it was the saddest decision i've ever made but i don't regret it.
See the people we share a country with lining up to cheer for the man who caused their agony, sorrow, grief, lamentation and poverty
He's sitting in an air-conditioned 200 million naira bullet proofed Mercedes with about 40 security personnel while these uneducated broke fools with less than 20k in their bank account standing in the sun cheering for an 80 year old clueless cow
No matter how tired I am, seeing this Fulani cow president on the TV always gives me the strength to get up and change the channel ....yeye man. This is epic....My NL best post ever. Even if you don't have the opportunity, search for it by any fair and soothing means. I've always said that the best thing that can ever happen to any Nigerian will be to run FAR AWAY from the coast of this Doomed nation, FAR FAR AWAY!!!! Its quite disheartening I've got to sound this way but no point sugar coating it again its completely true. The tiny few asides the POLITHIEFTIANS that think they are doing well are unwary/unknowingly/knowingly SUFFERING and smiling. Although no safer heaven on earth but the difference is bold and crystal clear.... Its better to die on my feet than live on my knees. #IHaveDecided#SoHelpMeGod!!! I HAVE DECIDED!!!!! |
