Good evening house like I've said earlier today is my appointment day and that of my family. I would like to share my experience.

1. Firstly, when READY FOR ENROLLMENT is not checked or marked in your tracking online, just know that theres an issue or some datas in your NIN doesn't correspond with your application (this is applicable to renewal and fresher)

2. Notary is not allowed. I Repeat NOTARY stamp is not allowed, they'll send you back no matter your money. They removed all guarantors form from my children, it was only my wife they used guarantors form for and I have to go to high court at GRA in Ikeja, lo and behold it was my area brother that's in charge. They've closed at 3pm and I got there 15 minutes to 4pm but because of my relationship with him, he eventually signed and stamp my guarantors form. The original guarantors form must have a Lagos state seal with a sliver shining woman holding sword and scale and if you tilt it, it will show the map of Nigeria). Two receipts will be issued to you in sum of #250 each making #500 for singing and stamping of guarantors form.

3. DIY should be prepared to be get delayed. They'll frustrate your life I swear. When we got there this morning and the ask us to check list and look for our names, none of our names was there, my wife, me and two kids. When I converse with an officer in charge he said I should go upstairs since he knows I'm a DIY.

Please don't ever make the mistake of going up and sit. My dear brothers and sisters, you'll sit til eternity, just try and find your way to enter the main hall downstairs and join the que.

4. My wife was frustrated, I told her, even if it is 8pm they answered us here, what I know is that I must achieve my aim today as I can't come again with 3 months old baby and 2 and half years kid. I waited till 6pm and everyone has already left the hall since we don't have money to buy our way out. After lobbying and persuading some staffs, a woman eventually showed us mercy and said I should come, she did the needful and ask me to go to room 16. The man there said they've closed and he send me to room 12 which is opposite room 16, the woman didn't want to attend to us. Eventually, the man who directed us to room 12 showed up and said we should come to room 16 which is for kids registration, assisted by another man.

One ask for mine which is renewal, he vetted but BOOM, there's an issue with my NIN (The names on my NIN doesn't correspond with my registration) and the person in charge of NIN has closed for the day. But to cut the story short, my wife's registration and that of my children was successfully done and collection date is July 5, all this without paying a dime but I see shege and hell.

However, I've been asked to come tomorrow for rectification of NIN issue but I'll make sure I have something with me just to show gratitude so that I won't experience what I saw today tomorrow and so that I can have my own capturing done tomorrow.

We got home exactly 9:30PM.

You can go anyday after your appointment date and you can wear any colour (of shirt/polo advisable) excluding white, I wish you good luck and stress free capturing for you and your family.

My appointment for capturing is on 08 May, but I plan to go the next day due to a serious engagement.
Hope I won't encounter any issue as a DIY family of 5.

Also, is there any colour of shirt that is best to wear for capturing?

Someone came to capture today. And the total money he paid online was 27k instead of 26k. So I think they've added it to the new registration payment. But just hold extra 1K if you paid only 26k online incase they ask for it

But how do i confirm from my end that it's active before Ukvi will do their confirmation because the only thing i know is that a certificate was issued after completion of the registration

Please i also need input from MA that has applied for Visa as an entrepreneur with registered business. How did you handle this?

I have been following this thread for weeks, I registered on the 21st of March. My capturing date was yesterday but I couldn't go because of the public holiday. I finally went today, and the staff I met was really nice. They don't accept affidavit of birth. I had to go to the NPC office. When I got back, He directed me to a cyber cafe to arrange my files. When I got there I had to pay 1,000 naira for manual application and file arrangement. When I finally got back to the office, He collected the file, checked everything, and wrote SD(self download) on my file. Then asked me to come back next week Tuesday for my biometric... I'd anyone DIY to go before their appointment date to submit their documents

(5) Signed letter of authorization from BOTH PARENTS – signatures should match the signatures on their respective passports and names should match those on the child’s birth certificate

(6) Copy of parents’ passports (Data Page)

(7) Copy of the child’s birth certificate

Note: In case where only the mother appears on the birth certificate, she will have to present an affidavit from the court that she has full custody of the child/children.

I haven't said it an issue and besides you and i are not a visa officer to know what question to ask and not ask.

People have come to tell us different events that happened on this platform.

Please irrespective of the 99% information we have that led to visa success that remaining unknown 1% could damage everything.

My response is should a question a raised about it.. if she can proof it no problem.

And i haven't seen anything wrong in my response.

Lets all be realistic here, we are not VOs here . We are trying our best to give right information to get success.

Having said the above each visa application questions are handed by different person not one person, what happens to Mr A could be different from what happened to Mr. B.

I was at Heathrow on Tuesday were different EO attended to different people ( couples, single, and family). It was easy for some families, singles and couples to pass the POE.

While it was hell for some. They were delayed and interview. Can you tell me what happened here?

It all depends on the urgency, if It's urgent get it in 3day but for normal process it in 2weeks time and the price differs depending on your contact there. You need to go with passport picture, photocopy of a valid ID card, affidavit from high court on age declaration but if you don't have it can be done for you there. The contact you meet will let you know of the item you will bring.

I would advise you to do birth attestation certificate from npc headquarter at surulere if in Lagos because it is accepted any where in the world should you have the intention of leaving Nigeria one day and more standard than age declaration.
