salford1: I now see where you are coming from. Also $89k CAD is a decent wage. That is around $125k gross in Alberta. The option of leaving your family in Canada while you return to work might be the better option untill you are able to resettle yourself in Canada. Relocating to Canada would come with its own sacrifice, but in the long run, you would be glad you took the decision to relocate to a developed country. I wish you goodluck in whatever decision you make. We are agemates. No need to address me as sir.lol Pls sir, I'd like to send you a PM to ask about something that's not entirely related to this topic. Thanks in advance. |

coolangel54:
Just a quick question: I have been practicing the IELTS but my major challenge in reading is the Paragraph Heading Matching, #crying#, I end up messing big time. The highest I have got so far from practicing is 7 but I am not encouraged at all because I need 8 upwards. To my question: I have one hour to write this part of the exam, is it possible for me to start from any part and maybe later move to the most difficult part of it? I just thought of this strategy and I need help from senior colleagues. Hello. Check Oxford Online English on YouTube. The strategy they applied to Matching Headings is quite simple and easy to understand. Cheers! |

You're not better than anyone here. Is this how you intend to get the answers to your questions. Oga, that joke did not refer to you in any way. You should have known that your case/question is not common and would not be readily answered here. |

cochtrane: A collection of success cases on Nairaland
After doing the rejection cases, felt I should do the success cases. So, I went through the "PPR declarations" on this Part 3 thread. GlitteringStar has done a good job of compiling this already, so it was just a matter of clicking. Some of these "declarations" shared important details and some were downright inspirational. Thought to share some important summaries from these you might find useful. Details concern self-employment, contesting refusals, following up with CIC after much delay, gift deeds and other POF issues, NOC, etc. Note that these guys all got PPR already, so they must have done something right. At the same time, what works for A doesn't necessarily work for B, so just use this as cautiously as you can. You can go through the main posts themselves to get a clearer picture. Good job! Thanks for taking your time to compile this report. |

sthillz: Same problem in Lagos
I don't think there is anything anyone can do. I waited two months for my passport because of this booklet issue. Best thing is just to continue to call your contact in the immigration office to keep you top of mind for when the booklet becomes available. I got mine (reissue) in Lagos after 18 days of capturing, though my contact mentioned that they are having a scarcity of booklet and laminate. |

mcstan18: We just discussed the "one and the same person affidavit" two pages back. It might come in handy for you, please use it.
In my opinion, I'd suggest he uses his Nigerian passport for this purpose since the name on it ties with those on all other documents he would be needing for his application (I'm assuming he used it to register for IELTS). A British passport doesn't give him any particular edge as either passport he uses would have to be stamped with the PR visa anyway (unlike the American passport). Like I said, it's my suggestion.
modified Makes sense. Well done sir |

I wasn't going to use hubby's own, but we requested for his and mine anyway, got the letters same day and hard copy same week from two different PFAs. It was a wawu something, the way they kept following up and effecting the amendments we wanted like say we pay money. Pls can I send you a PM to get the names of the PFAs? Thanks |

happytbaby: Okay, I just wanted to be sure.
In that case what people have used is a letter from your employer stating the amount you are entitled to and that you can have it immediately after resignation. You may not want to go that route though....depending on the nature and body language of your employer...make you no come sack yourself....you are the best judge of the situation. Some employers will not take kindly to such a request.
People also use staff co-operative....they get a letter from the Co-operative.... Thanks so much. I am not sure those guys will want to go through the stress of writing any letter. |

4Barr: On suggestion of a PFA to you (of course i'll suggest the one I use and work with, please send me a mail for this. I also got a letter in the right format for my application.)
On the Second point, all PFAs will pay you your 25% (if you qualify) and the payment has been approved by PenCom - Typically takes about 1-2 weeks from application. Thank you very much. I learned that some PFAs are very slow in processing the 25%. Pls just to be sure of how to go about the switching. "I will register with the PFA and then send my details to my CPFA". I just sent you a PM. Thanks. |
