Good afternoon bumping mamas. Hope we are all doing fine. I'm new here (although I posted about my preg news a few days ago). I asked our sabi mamas what kind of prenatals I should be taking but nobody answered me oo . Anyways I sha went and bought Pregnacare Original and Folic acid with Vit B12. I hope I am on the right track? If there are any other vitamins to add, please let me know. Its not that I'm self medicating o. I only found out that I was pregnant this past Saturday so I have been making inquiries about antenatal registration but I just want to be proactive pending when I will register which will be by this weekend by God's grace. I have a few questions to ask and pls, able mamas don't pass by without answers o

a. How do I officially register on NL preggy thread?

b. I got married on 29th Oct. My last period was on 22nd and ovu was 5th of Nov. Found out I was preggy on 19th. However, I read online that the pregnancy will be counted from the first day of my last period. By this calculation, I should be almost 5weeks now. Ejo, is it true? I feel its funny considering that I never even stay husband house reach 5weeks.

c. The other issue that has been bothering me is this. From 5th of Nov, I had this terrible cold and catarrh and I took Actikfed tablets twice daily for 4days. On 11th of Nov, I had very terrible waist pain that I couldn't stand up. It was so bad that I feared I was going to get paralyzed and my village people that did not want me to get married had finally caught up with me . Kai, I had no idea it was implantation pain. On Sunday the 13th, hubby got Diclofenac for me and I took two tablets. By evening of that Sunday, I was having terrible heartburns (I have ulcer) so I thought it was caused by the Diclofenac I took. By Monday 14th, I bought Omeperazole and took one tablet. I did not take the Diclofenac again. I also only took the Omeperazole tablet once. By Saturday 19th, I did a strip and blood test which confirmed me preggy. Now my fear is if all these drugs I took will not affect my babies ( im praying for twins!) In any way.

d. Please who can recommend a good hospital for antenatal for me in Ago Palace Way? I dont want Festac cos I feel its far and I dont want to stress myself. I have gone to Outreach to make inquiries but do let me know if there are other good ones besides Outreach. I want to register this weekend.

e. Lastly, Please how do I reply someone's comment on this thread?

first of all, its true dat yr pregnancyis calculated from yr LMP but to be accurate, wen u go for yr 1st scan, it will be calculated, according to the scan.
for the pregnacare/folic acid, u r right on point.

Ehn ehn, im team june o, oyya mk una register me for team june. Though it will b cs cus of d previous one. So im not sure of d date yet cus I did d last one @36weeks and my baby was fine and healthy,thqnks to God.

Good morning mamas, with a heart full of joy I announce the birth of my baby boy Fiyinfunjah (Give praise to Jehovah). I delivered around 8:30pm yesterday via cs.

Birth Story
My due date was on the 16th and nothing happened, at my doctor's appointment the next day, the Dr said if by 41 weeks baby doesn't come then I will be induced. I was referred for a non stress scan and also to check the amnotic fluid of the baby. So yesterday I went for the scan, the non stress scan was good as baby's heart beat was normal but the fluid was low. Meanwhile for the past two weeks I noticed that after peeing in the process of wiping another set of pee usually comes out, I didn't know I was leaking water little by little. So yesterday the scan showed that I had little water left. The Dr told me to go to labor and delivery immediately that the baby must be delivered now.
Everything happened so fast, I was confused and scared. My cervix was checked and it was still close. A foley balloon was inserted to help me dilate to at least 4cm before they start pitocin. Baby's heart beat was also being monitored.
After about 2hrs I was having strong contractions but with each contraction my baby's heart beat dropped. I was then given oxygen but it didn't help. Ö

30 minutes after, baby's heart beat was still dropping the Dr said my baby can't handle induction so they have to bring him out immediately.
I was prepared for cs, epidural was administered and 30 minutes after I heard my baby crying. I started crying too saying "that's my baby ".

He was cleaned and brought to me while they stitched me up. He came out weighing 3.5kg.

Goodmrnd all. Firstly I want to say im so glad to b in dis forum, ive read and learnt ALOT from here.
to all those that hv just put to bed, I pray d Almighty God will keep and watch over u and yr LO
to all those still pushing, God is yr strength and may u carry to term and have a smooth and stress free delivery in Jesus Name.

im currently pregnant with my 2nd, last week I testd for malaria and typhoid which came out positive, I hd inj 4 3day, im still on d tyyphoid drugs which is causing me SERIOUS neauseouness, weakness, loss of appetite(mind u, I hd all des symptoms b4 I startd d medications but not as much as wen I startd d medications).
The thing now is dat I had 2 discontinue d tyyphoid drugs last 9t to see hw I will feel and sincerely dis mrng, as im ttyping, I feel much more better and stronger. I w as able to eat and even washed my boy's clothes dat ive piled up for dayys.
I realy dnt wnt to continue d typhoid med and im worried dat it may b completely treated. Any1 wit any suggestion?
by d way im 5wks+ according to scan and 7wks+ according to LMP

]dear mamas. I salute you all in the name of Christ. pls, I am confuse and need someone to a sure me all will be well. I have a menstral circle that is irregular.. some times comes after 2 months or so. dis time around, it has failed me. I discovered I am pregnant yesterday. I have had 3 ceasereans and it means dis will also be another CS. pls has any one had a forth CS? what is the limit to having a CS? abeg, share ur experience with a sister.

@arihodo, I kn sm1 dat hd cs 5times and shes hale and hearty. Though bodies differs.
im presently pregnant now with my 2nd pregnancy whc I kn its deffinately gonna b cs bcus initially, I had miscarriage due to fibroid so I had myomectomy, I took in after 3months, had my baby boy last Sept thru cs. Im pregnant now whc I kn I'll hv d baby thru cs.
it all dependsvon yr body system but at d same time, u shld hv considered dat its gonna b d 4th time foru.
its well my sis

funny enuf I dnt kn my edd cus im yet to see my gyea. Hopefuly I will go 2 d hosp dis week sha.

]Mamas how are we doing? Hope we are great? You people should see me see wahala my Consultant Gynecologist was angry with me that I went to do a scan that told me the sex of my baby. He was like he didn't ask me to do any scan, that after the 13wk scan I did the next I was supposed to do is at 36weeks that I shouldn't be surprise if the sex changes. Even my mum that I confided in after I was told the sex was very upset that I went to do a scan to know that if I had told her I wanted to she wouldn't have agreed Imagine! In fact, feel so sad that I told her even wen my DH told me to keep it within us. Now I have stopped tell her things.

Then pls, help my mum said because this baby is her first grandchild she has made a vow to God to have the child dedication in her church may while, my husband and I attends a bible believing church like hers. I told her after our own church dedication I will give her the child to go and dedicate in her own church that we would go.

She also said they must cut the babies hair after 3months cos the hair smells since he came out with the hair from the womb. Also, she said will do incisions on the babies body. I said no that my DH said he does believe in all that. She then said we should be ready to get offended by the things she wants to do. She can say all dis cos DH is very quite and respectful but now DH is not finding any of her ideas funny and he is ready to give the shocker of her life. How u na see my matter. Help me put mouth.

I think u also md d mistake of tellng her d sex of d child. Wen I was pregnent, I dint evn tell my mother until I was arnd 4-5months gone. Not dat shes a bad mother,but its my life. My mother is d best, goodly, godly and loving mother,

Pls dont put sentiments or emotions into dis, bcus she might come up with talks like "im yr mother.... Iu sucked frm my breast...." bla bla bla but I trust that God Almighty will give u and dh wisdom to handle this.

I'm pregnant with my 2nd bbabbyy, had to stop breasfeedi g abruptly 4my 1yr+ baby. D problem now is dat 4d past 5days my brwasts r still swollen, infact my right breast particularly. Its so engroged da I feel it veryy stone strong. How can I help dis go away?
