Why do some ladies get really emotional and caustic whenever there is a mention of their gender. I hardly maintain a healthy verbal intercourse with my own sister save on issues devoid of gender classification. Even when she sees she gath no point against my position, she instead becomes critical on my choice of words. For goodness sake, this should be fun.

Did the apostles pay tithes to the priests while with Christ?

One truth the tithe preachers ignore is that the gentile converts never paid tithe and were never told to. The only issue was on circumcision which was a form of initiation into or identification as God's people.
Early Christians did not pay tithe. Tithing sneaked into the church after 18th century. In fact, religious tax and monetization of indulgences were the bane of Pentecostal movement against the Catholic church then.

They taught that salvation is by grace through faith and not works or good deeds. Unfortunately, many are smuggling back this integral part of of the law, albeit knowing that we are children of Abraham, not by the law or genealogy but by faith, and that we are no longer under the law. What pisses me off is the effort of many preachers to tie salvation to tithing.
He who keeps part of the law must endeavor to keep all, and he who is guilty of one part of the law is guilty of all. 'Do no work on the sabbat day' is part of the law. If you wash ur cloth on Saturday (7th day) you are a transgressor of the law.

When the story is negative, all the 11 states in the South-south and South-east become Igboland, But once the story portends positivity, Igboland returns to 5 states. I can see all ya efforts in vilifying the Igbos, I just pray that this uncommon obsession don't lead to dementia.

Yes, we should cast our burdens, worries & concerns unto the Lord. That does not mean that you shouldn't tell your neighbour or anyone you feel like about things that bother you. Like the above poster said, problem shared is problem solved. God uses people to help others. Unfortunately, humans are not omniscient or "omniknowest". One cannot proffer his help or render a life saving advice if he knows nothing about your problem? Sometimes, the person you told may not help, but knows who can help.
In my office, our office assistant would probably have died of bleeding if her friend did not tell us of her problem. Immediately, we swung into action and salvaged her.

Pardon me sir, the situation didn't allow me to snap but some did. I will collect the pics from them and post. The place is locked now. Just learnt that several others jumped from other sides of the building. Lots of injuries.

One person confirmed dead.

It's not Peace Park, it's in a building adjacent to it, housing Peace Micro Finance bank and Peace capital. I'm present there now. About seven person jumped from the 3rd floor. About two smashed their heads on the hard floor. I pray for them. Fire fighters and the Nigerian Police came about 15-20 minutes later. They did a good job, but were late. Thank God for boys around. They really helped with improvisations, viz: mattresses, ropes, ladders, etc. Men were catching people that were jumping.

PRACTICING THE PRESENCE OF GOD.

Good morning brethren.
Am led to share this with you because, if we are not careful, we could be toiling so hard, but Christ may say to us, "I HAVE SOMEWHAT AGAINST YOU".


Revelation 2:2-6 I know your industry and activities, laborious toil and trouble, and your patient endurance, and how you cannot tolerate wicked [men] and have tested and critically appraised those who call [themselves] apostles (special messengers of Christ) and yet are not, and have found them to be impostors and liars.

I know you are enduring patiently and are bearing up for My name’s sake, and you have not fainted or become exhausted or grown weary.

But I have this [one charge to make] against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first [you have deserted Me, your first love].

Remember then from what heights you have fallen. Repent (change the inner man to meet God’s will) and do the works you did previously [when first you knew the Lord], or else I will visit you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you change your mind and repent.

Yet you have this [in your favor and to your credit]: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans [what they are doing as corrupters of the people], which I Myself also detest.

Studying the above Scriptures last night, i was really cut through the heart and i had to ask the Holy spirit certain questions.

When you read through these verses you'll notice these words;
WORK
LABOUR
PATIENCE
CONSISTENCY (not fainting or despair)
TRUTH (testing all spirits by the word)
DILIGENCE(no compromise)

BUT;

THE LORD MAY HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST YOU!!!.

I asked myself this question; Lord, how can i work to advance your kingdom, Labour in prayer to see souls saved, be patient in tribulations, endure when am mocked, and despised, suffer hunger and lack, be consistent, not giving up even though everything around me seem like what i believe in is a lie, i hold unto the truth of the gospel, believing absolutely that what you say is the truth, be diligent to read and prepare myself against errors, i have not compromised my stand, YET YOU SAY, I HAVE LEFT MY FIRST LOVE?
This bothered me greatly.
What is my first love which i have abandoned?
How could i have left my first love when even you testified that i have done all these things?

He spoke and said; Watch a man fall in love with a woman. When both of them are in love, they become FRIENDS, THEY HAVE A RELATIONSHIP, SHARING THINGS TOGETHER. When they become use to each other, it becomes a DUTY. They still do all those things they did before, but as an act of duty no more LOVE.
Its you i want, not what you do, YOU.
The key to our relationship is not changing what you do, but changing your attitude towards doing it.
Don't do these because you feel you owe me, No you don't. you can decide not to do it, and i will be fine, If you want to do it then do it for your love for me.
I know your work, labour and Patience, i know all of that. You are very passionate when it has to to do with my name. Most times i deliberately hold back from you, but you are still doing these things dutifully.
Like a man with his wife, Activities have taken the place of community, (relationship, communication, connectivity) These were the things which held us together, now its just DUTY.
I don't want duty, i want YOU.
I created man for me to fellowship with, not for activities. Being active for me does not engender a good relationship.

Return back to when we use to sit and chat for hours, enjoying each others company, not looking at how much time has past.
Being in my presence doesnt really means taking a retreat, No. Being in my presence means practicing to take my presence with you everywhere you go, communicating with me in short conversational prayers, not necessarily long complex ones. when you eat, bath, work, buy and sell, every time, We use to have that.
In your prayer be sure not to assume you can bribe me, or bully me into doing your will, it wont happen. Ask honourably, remember i said to king Saul in 1st Sam 2:30, It is those who honour me, i will honour, not those who despises me.
Our long lasting relationship is making you take my presence for granted, don't do that. Keep being as sensitive, alert, careful as you used to be when we first met, take nothing for granted.
In everything which you do, both in the way you talk and in the way you do things, do as though you are doing them directly to me.
THIS IS THAT FIRST LOVE. RETURN TO ME.
I LOVE YOU.

What many Christians have failed to realize is that salvation belongs to the sinners. Christ told us to go and proclaim the Good news, but we never really told them that. We tell them that God is mad at them, and is counting their wrongs. The reward given to the person that started in the morning is same as the one given to those that started at the dying minute.
Sinners are the most favoured and you are there to inform them instead of passing a judgment of condemnation.

How can someone be dishing out lies and people are busy swallowing it. Smh.

Who cares. I've learnt not to defend any of these politicians. None of them has the interest of the masses at heart. It's time to see these guys as they really are, whether APC or PDP. All I can say is that that he should be handled according to the law.

I may be wrong, but not unserious.
