Christianity EtcRe: A Grace Preacher To Answer All Your Questions And settle your Confusions. by Peritus(m): 9:24am On May 04, 2016
promise101:
5. Let's look into what Jude said.

Jude 1:4;"Some people have slipped in among you
unnoticed. Not long ago they were CONDEMNED in
writing for the following reason: They are people to
WHOM GOD MEANS NOTHING. They use God's
kindness as an excuse for sexual freedom and
DENY our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ."

Let's study the verse;

1. He said;".....they were condemned....."

Why were they condemned? Because they were unbelievers; people who DON'T BELIEVE in the son of God.

John 3:18;"18 He that BELIEVETH on him is NOT CONDEMNED: but he that BELIEVETH NOT is CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE he hath NO BELIEVED in the name of the only BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD."

2. He said;"....they were people who GOD means NOTHING...."

That means they were more like the atheists, who don't believe in God.

3. "...They use God's kindness as an excuse for sexual freedom and DENY our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ."

The biblical greek meaning of Kindness is grace, as a gift or blessing brought to man by Jesus Christ(God).

NOTE: These false teachers he was talking about, does not believe in Jesus, think that God does not exist(making God nothing), and went on to DENY that Jesus is not lord.

4. He said;".....They use God's kindness as an excuse for sexual freedom....."

Now, Jude was not talking about preachers of grace, not at all!

Because there is NO difference between what genuine grace preachers and what paul preached.

God's grace is not a license to sin, rather a license to receive the gift of NO condemnation without the deed of the law.

However, if he was talking about grace preachers like paul who preach against keeping of the law, righteousness by faith, eternal salvation, which is really BIBLICALLY true; he wouldn't have said that the people he was talking about were condemned already, that we don't believe in God(atheism) and that they deny Jesus. NOT AT ALL!

The mistake people make with that verse is that they don't put into consideration, the whole context of
the verse. And they will only end up understanding ONLY the verse that says;".....They use God's kindness as an excuse for sexual freedom....." Which misinterprets gospel preachers because we don't make God's grace a sexual freedom.

Let's go through questions;

1. How can these people who deny God, use his kindness an excuse?

If they are using it consciously, then it means that they have the belief that there is God, but when they do it ignorantly they deny God, though they are under his kindness.

Now, you have to know that God shows kindness both to the believer and unbelievers. People who deny God are IGNORANT of this truth, that's why they pervert it IGNORANTLY by living a life of sexual freedom.

So jude was talking about false teachers, who he said, don't believe in God and deny Jesus and are deceiving people in church.
I cant fault your submission. I'm particularly in love with your statement that, "God's grace is not a license to sin, rather a license to receive the gift of NO condemnation without the deed of the law."
Do you believe in once under grace, always under grace (even when one turns around)? If you do, reconcile it with these:
1.Hebrews 12:14-16, which says we should "pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone FALL SHORT of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many BECOME DEFILED; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright”.
2. Galatians 5:4: “You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have FALLEN from grace.
3. 1 Corinthians 10:12 “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he FALL".
4. 1 Corinthians 9:27 “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a CAST AWAY.
5. 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will DEPART from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.
I understand from above that grace could be lost due to future unrepentant actions, and/or reverting back to justification by the law. Do you have any contrary view sir?
Christianity EtcRe: All The Truth About TITHE by Peritus(m):
maximunimpact:
This is the thinking of a carnal man, do you know tithe was never paid with money by those who once paid it during the time of law? do you even know why tithe was instituted? the priests and levites do no work or have any inheritance, the tithes was what they leaved off. Since Jesus is now our high priest in your mind do you still think he needs our tithes to survive? Does he eat food or money? Stop deceiving yourself and your ignorant followers, i believe you are a pastor who depends on tithe to survive, so its no surprise you can go this length to say Jesus collects tithe in heaven. Better still quote one scripture stating Jesus collects tithes, even if it exists (which never does) are you now Jesus the high priest who eats tithes? barbecue its amazing how pastors show red eyes defending tithes as if their lives depends on it (actually it does)
Not only that, he definitely does not know that tithe is very new in the church from 18th century, but did not start as tithe. The first payment of such was during the time of Emperor Constantine when tax was introduced in the church and indulgence monetized, for the building/renovation of the Basilica and payment of church workers. This attracted severe criticisms from the protestants who believed that salvation was being monetised. This also was the bane of Luther's 95 thesis against Catholic church and papal supremacy. Sowing of seed, first fruit and tithe are all new in the church. Maybe for sustenance of the church, though severely abused.
The op does not even know that the then gentiles who received the Good News never paid tithe. It was only circumscision that nearly caused a problem before it was resolve that they should avoid food sacrificed to the idols, sexual immorality, strangled meat and blood, and nothing more. Tithe was never made an issue because Christians then were not paying it since they were not under the priests and Christ never collected tithe, neither were the gentiles ever under or made subject of any earthly priestly order. One may excuse tithing for whatever reason but lacing it with salvation is heretic.

What most of you don't understand that tithing is a way of live of the Jews so you can't tell them to do what they are use to doing. Now if Jesus did not talk about the pharisees paying tithe will you know they pay tithe? John says if all things were written the world will not contain it. But that is not where am going.

Go read Hebrew 7:8. It is the living Jesus that accept my tithe as a bank accept my money, my pastor is like Jesus cashier on earth. Tithing prove you believe Jesus is alive in heaven. Your not paying tithe show you don't believe the high priestly position of Jesus so how can he atone for your sin as a high priest. Our believe is validated in our action not our talk. A lot of people are claiming Christianity no experience to show. Their Christianity is a mouth thing.
It is a way of life of the Jews, so also is/was circumscision, killing of adulterers, buying and selling of slaves, not working on the seventh day. Do you keep them all?
Hmmm, even if I believe in tithing I would still have negated all you wrote up there. Please never you pervert the grace of God. If anyone had taught you that salvation is linked to tithing, tell the person he's wrong. The practice was never about being put right with God. It has always been about material blessings as per the law. Except it's not tithe.
Very soon I will start hearing that if you don't tithe, u are destined to hell, the same people that preach the message of grace. Preach the Good News, preach love & never link tithing with salvation else you make Christ a liar. Christ even bemoaned the Pharisees in Matt. 23:23 for giving their tenth, yet neglecting the more important matters. Grace is FREE and COMPLETE. It's been fully paid for.

If you don't pay tithe your not a christian, you can claim anything. The truth remains, your not a christian since you don't believe Jesus is risen from the dead and he is alive. Without resurrection of Christ no christianity
Habbaaa, when does tithing has to do with salvation and being a Christian? This is heresy. Even the book of Malachy merely attached a reward to it. Did the early Christians pay tithe when they got saved. Were the gentiles asked to pay it when they got saved? It wasn't even made an issue then. Fortunately, you are not the one to determine who is a Christian. I can't judge you, but tithing won't take anyone to heaven.
Christianity EtcRe: All The Truth About TITHE by Peritus(m):
soulpeppersoup:
According to mattew 7:23 (the Gideon international) lawlessness is sin. If you are not keeping the law your a sinner. Jesus said I did not come to put away the law but to fulfill it.

Jesus fulfilled the law of sacrifice and gave us power to obey moral laws. That is while stealing is still a sin etc.

Now according to Hebrews 7:8 Jesus is in heaven receiving the tithes of those who believe he is still alive which is the whole essence of Christianity. If you don't pay tithe, your Jesus is still in the grave.
I love your submission.
First, Mtt 7:23 says a different thing in the two interpretations that I use. Yes, Christ is the fulfillment of the law and the teachings of the prophets in that he brought the writings of the law & the prophesies to consummation, not that he came to enforce them. He himself is the fulfillment, after doing so, he proclaimed that "it is finished" Jn 19:30.
*Carnal Ordinances were imposed until the time of reformation & now Christ being the High Priest, a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands.(Heb 9:10,11). Change of priesthood brought about change of law (Heb 7:11)
*"All the prophets prophesied the kingdom up till John's time."(Mtt. 11:13). Why? Because Christ is the fulfillment of the prophesies. Luke 16:16 says "The law of Moses and writings of the prophets were in effect up to the time of John the Baptist, since then, the Good news about the kingdom of God is being told."

All the above shows that he is the fulfillment of the law.
You said he gave us a moral law: no, he gave us a spiritual one not borne out of flesh or precepts. If I asked you to name the laws, you would be tempted to mention the ten commandments, not knowing that keeping the ten commandments won't take one to heaven. Do you know that the sabbat day is the seventh day not Sunday. If you work on the sabbat day, you are a transgressor of the law. Christ himself defied this law several times and on one occasion in Mtt. 12:1-8 he told the Jews that if they knew what it meaneth, I will have mercy not sacrifices, ye wouldn't have condemned the GUILTLESS. HE broke the law yet he was guiltless. In Jeremiah 31:31-33 God says that time is coming when I will make a new covenant...not according to the covenant I made with their fathers...I will write my laws in their hearts." What is the new commandment? What does it mean to write laws in hearts? I'm sure you know it's not about cramming the old commandments.
Christ gave a new commandment of love and introduced worship in spirit. Now if we walk in the spirit, we won't obey the lusts of flesh. That we are under grace doesn't mean that the we should sin, or that the law shall not be kept at all. Grace reigns unto righteousness as sin reigns unto death. Our righteousness doesn't come from keeping the law, but by the grace.
With grace, you won't struggle to keep the law, rather, you live a holy life in communion with the spirit. All you do will be guided by love, even for your enemies and persecutors. Most holier than thou are the super transgressors. They spend most of their time judging and sending others to hell, having no love for whomever they feel is condemned.

As regards Heb 7:8, I want to ask you. Are pastors High priests? Christ is the High Priest and we all are priests. Christ doesn't collect sacrifices, but our obedience and praise. Where did he empower the apostles or pastors to collect tithe?
Saying that one is not a Christian because he pays no tithe is same as saying that the Bible lied on what it takes to get saved. Judaists pay tithes more than you. Your good work has no nexus with your salvation. G'Night.
Christianity EtcRe: How Should We Pay Tithes by Peritus(m): 6:57pm On May 02, 2016
Theophinio:
Sir could you explain to the house, especially me Galatians 5:3 in connection to tithing
Am learning sir, i just want to know
#PEACE
Yes, I will.
1. Can we first settle the fact that tithing is part of the old law, and there is no record that it was practiced by Christians in the Bible.
2. Can we settle also that the law is meant for those under it, serving as a reminder of our sins and bringing us under judgment, and is meant for those under it. Romans 3:19-20.
3. If you accept the above, then you should also know that "as many as of the works of law are under curse: for it is written, cursed is everyone that committeth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them." Gal 3:10.
4. Gal 5:3 was in reiteration of Gal 3:10. It's about some Christians who were insisting that one must be circumscised to become a full Christian. Paul, while correcting them, made them to understand that you cannot smuggle one thing from the law and expect not to be under all. Since we are no longer under the law but under grace (Rms 6:14) we shouldnt go ahead to save part of that which has been nailed to the cross.
5. Christ loves a cheerful and willful giver, he didn't say he loves one who gives out of sense of duty and obligation in expectation of a reward. The measure you give is the measure you receive. Christ taught us in details about giving (including offering and alms giving) how could he and his disciples omit this now very important part of practice.
Christianity EtcRe: All The Truth About TITHE by Peritus(m): 10:52am On May 02, 2016
Tithing is not part of Christian worship. Why do we say that we are not under the law/old covenant but have smuggled in a core practice of Levitical priesthood. A good part of the law predate Moses, eg. circumscision, blood sacrifice, tithe etc. but were made integral part of the law.
He who keeps a part of the law is bound to keep all of them all. Gal 5:3
Christ is our High Priest & we are all priests, the old order of priesthood has been abolished. Christ demanded for free giving as one pleases and alms giving. How could he have neglected such integral practice of the old law, being our High priest. It was never taught by the disciples too, why then is it made hyper important now.
Christianity EtcRe: A Grace Preacher To Answer All Your Questions And settle your Confusions. by Peritus(m): 10:26am On May 02, 2016
Sir, you omitted the last two questions, viz:
1. Do you pay tithe?
2. Interpret James 2:17 & 24 which says that faith without good work is dead, being alone. Knowing that we are saved by grace through faith.
Christianity EtcRe: How Should We Pay Tithes by Peritus(m): 8:21am On May 02, 2016
I've decided not to pay, but to give...not tithe but offerings and alms, and this could be much higher or lower than the supposed tithe amount.
I find it hard to understand why we are not under the law, but a practice which is purely in accordance with the Aaronic Levitical priesthood is preserved, and this is not even part of the ecclesiastical laws (10 commandments) which people argue that are retained. It couldn't have been an issue to me if not that Galatians 5:3 suggests that he who keeps a part of the law is under all. I feel that tithing is more of a practice (done in full expectation of rewards) than an act of free will and love. Christ taught us how to give freely (no percentage) and secretly. His teachings are detailed and equally adumbrated by the disciples, why didn't any of them mention the now very important tithe as a Christian practice? Why is it not recorded that any of the disciples paid tithe or practiced tithing, since such issue is not negligible as we see today.
I'm open to knowledge, so enlighten me more.
Christianity EtcRe: What Should I Do If I Know My Friend Is Going To Hell? by Peritus(m):
It is very wrong for you to sentence even the worst criminal to hell. We are denied the right to judge. If you see a friend who is not committed or born again, pray for him and speak the Word to him. If you see a friend who is backsliding, you that is in the spirit should correct him in gentleness and humility. Gal 6:1.
Jn 7:24 doesn't in any way give you right to judge. Christ was bemoaning the Jews who were looking for him to kill for healing a man on a sabbat day. He told them, "judge not according appearance, but judge a righteous judgement." This is because they use the law as a guise to perpetrate evil. You know Christ was trying to introduce spiritual worship as against strict and negative adherence to letters. As a human, can you judge without considering outward appearance?
There is no exception in Matthew 7:1. Don't judge! You don't see through God's eyes, because your human element must surely play a role.
Remember, the Jews thought they were obeying the law and enforcing it. Paul even said (Phil 3:6) that by the standard of the law (viewed humanly), he was guiltless while persecuting the Christians.
He that holds the keys can have mercy on whomever he pleases (Exo 33:19, Roms 9:15). You don't have spare keys to either heaven or hell, and so, cannot determine those who enter any. Do your work by spreading the Gospel and correcting your fellows, but don't pass the judgement of guilt upon them.

First, I don't pay tithe, I give offerings. The major issue which you are shying away from is not tithing, but mode of worship. Wait a minute!!!

If Jesus died for your sin. Does that not make you a recipient of blood sacrifice. If you take communion does that not constitute as a matter ritual cleansing in remembrance of the human sacrifice. Hmmm

You also said that something was wrong with the first covenant. By your statement it appears that there is something wrong with the second covenant.. If you believe in the blood of jesus without an actual blood. That constitutes imitation...

The third covenant is long overdue. Don't you think.. grin
What kind of reasoning is this? Do you hear of yearly blood sacrifice for remission of sin any longer? Who told you that communion is about cleansing?
My reply is based on the mention of cherubim and seraphim as it's one of the reasons people give to justify the use of sculpted images.

You mustn't go to church to encounter God, but it helps. Setting aside a moment to come together and go through the Word of God is very important. Most of us have several distractions, that apart from the time spent in the church, we don't have much time spent with God.

First, you can't kill evil spirit but can exercise authority over them, so you cant disguise that you are killing the evil spirit in a witch by praying "die by fire". Spirits dont die.
Secondly, you dont have the right to kill (physically or spiritually) anybody. It's only God that may wish to remove somebody if he deems fit. We are admonished to pray FOR those who persecute us. Mtt 5:44.
He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world, so you have no reason to fear those. You faith is all that matters.

Excellent piece.
Jude vs 4 says, that certain men crept into our midst, those who turn the grace of God into lasciviousness.
My dear, if grace stands alone and is whole, then the new commandments of Christ is in vain. For we can disobey his commandments on love (Jn 13:34, Mtt 5.44), on murder, fornication, divorce, oath & retribution (Mtt 5:23-44) without much ado. It then means that His statement that if we love him, we should keep his commandments (Jn 14:15) will have no force. We can then glory in sin and wickedness, since grace covereth all.
Let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he FALLS. 1Cor 10:12

Does it mean the ark of covenant, cheruben, images in the temple of Jerusalem were all idols.
Christianity is all about being Christ like; just as it was recorded in antioch. The apostles headed the Christian sect (Peter was the first pope). The catholic church gave chapters and verses to the Bible and also compile the new testament. The table of last supper, cross on which Jesus was crucified were all preserved in the basilica to this day. Catholics always maintain a daily communion with the almighty through the mass(simple powerful bold communion with heaven and earth, where Christ is both the priest and the offering for sacrifice). Daily reading from the bible plus hymn and simple but powerful prayer, and meditation on the word made flesh(Christ) and try to lead a life were Christ is the model. Christianity is not religion but lifestyle living like Christ.
I never wanted to dabble into arguments on issues like this, but your opening statement caught my attention.
Bros, we are no longer under the old covenant so we don't repeat that which has been declared imperfect and changed!
Jeremiah 31:31-33 (Hebrews 8:8-10) God said that He would make a new covenant with His people which is not according to the one made with their fathers (old covenant). Christ is the fulfillment of the new covenant. If there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, there won't be need for the second (Heb 8:7)
Everything about old system of worship was nullified by the coming of Christ starting from the physical tents, covenant box, cherubim & seraphim, Aaron's stick, blood sacrifice, ritual cleansing etc. They are mere shadows of the reality and no longer practiced or imitated (Heb 9).
So plz don't use the old system of worship to justify any doctrine.
Christianity EtcRe: A Grace Preacher To Answer All Your Questions And settle your Confusions. by Peritus(m):
1. How do you reconcile grace with Matt.5:21-48, where Christ made drastic changes on the old law (Exodus 20), thereby establishing new laws which though of the spirit center on good work?
2. What becomes of one who breaks those Christ's commandments in Matt.5 and the New commandment of love in Jn 13:34, but believes in grace? In other words, one who do not love his neighbours nor enemies, but claims grace. Reconcile it with 1Jn 4:8 that says that if one has no love, he know not God, for God is love.
3. Do you pay tithe?
4. James 2:17, faith without good work is dead being alone. vs 24 you see then, how that by work man is justified not by faith only. These verses suggest that though we are made perfect by grace through faith, but faith cannot stand alone without good work.
5. Jude vs 4 says that some men have slipped into our midst who pervert the teachings of grace to excuse their lasciviousness.

Joseph prince and chris, has no teaching of themselves, rather they preach the cross!!!!

You called me a grace pervert?
Please, quote any scripture to prove that!

I wouldn't have talked to you, if you are not accursed!

Gal 3:10; "For all who depend on the Law [seeking justification and salvation by OBEDIENCE TO THE LAW(right living) and the observance of rituals] are under a CURSE; for it is written, “CURSED (condemned to destruction) IS EVERYONE WHO DOES NOT ABIDE BY ALL THINGS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LAW, SO AS TO PRACTICE THEM.”

When you commit those your mistaken sins that makes you imperfect, are you in the spirit.

The accusations I listed above are lie, were you in the spirit when you wrote them?

What is the difference between the sin of lying which you committed and the sin of masturbation?

YOU ARE A PHARISEE!!!!

One main character of a pharisee christians is this;

PHARISEES CHRISTIANS DON'T MINGLE WITH SINFUL PEOPLE, RATHER THEY CONDEMN THEM FOR THE SAME SINLESS IMPERFECTIONS THEY ARE GUILTY OF.

The Pharisees said to Jesus disciples, "Why is your Teacher eating with sinners?" (Matthew 9:11).

Pharisees will mingle only with their own crowd of "holy" Pharisees. They criticised even Jesus for mingling with sinners. Is your holiness one that prevents you from mingling with your unconverted relatives? It is true that we can find fellowship only with God's children. But we can be friendly with all.
Jesus was known as the "Friend of sinners". If you want to be like Jesus, YOU MUST BE A FRIEND OF SINNERS.

A Pharisee will not attend the wedding reception of an unconverted relative, because he feels he will be polluted thereby. Jesus however would have gladly attended an unconverted relative's wedding reception. He went to the homes of sinners, where they probably had dancing and drinking going on.

He would share the gospel with those sinners. Contact with them didn't defile Him because His righteousness was inward. It is true that He spent most of His time with His disciples. But He spent a lot of time talking to sinful people. HOW CAN WE WIN SINNERS TO THE LORD IF WE ARE NOT FRIENDLY WITH THEM?
Even if he was wrong for judging (which cannot be excused), that doesn't confer on you the power to judge him also to the extent of calling him an accursed and a Pharisee. If any man is overtaken in a fault, you which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Gal 6:1
Back to the topic. I saw your effort in trying to play down the act of masturbation while likening it to lying. Yes, both are sins, but the Op asked a simple question on masturbation. He never talked about lying because he knows it's a sin: a dangerous one for that matter.
We should let the world know that masturbation is demonic. Again I say: one cannot walk in the spirit and still fulfill the lusts of flesh (Gal 5:16) because both are contrary to each other, Gal 5:17. The world (system) is where Satan is god 2 Cor 4:4, and is made manifest in the lust of the flesh. If ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law, Gal 5:18,, but they which do such things (who fulfill the lust of the flesh) shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. Gal 5:21.

Christianity EtcRe: Is It A Sin For A Christian To Masturbate? by Peritus(m): 4:31pm On Apr 27, 2016
My dear beg the Spirit of God to open your eyes. Masturbation does not start and end with the act. There are lots of attendant spiritual undertones. Need i say that it opens a door way to several sexual perversions. You cant walk in the spirit and masturbate, never.
Again, stop reposing your hope on pastors, no matter how good or spiritually firm you think they are. Bible is there as your guide. It is time when you need no church to interpret/teach you the Bible because the Spirit of God has been made free for all. He teaches us the truth, helps us in the areas of our infirmities (weaknesses) and intercedes for us in groaning that cannot be uttered. Many pastors embellish falsehood with a good percentage of truth, and they believe in the falsehood. This is the beginning of erroneous doctrines many churches teach. If you masturbate, just ask for the grace of God, make sure you are fully repentant of all sin and ready to serve Him.
Christianity EtcRe: Did Jesus Predict Muhammad? - The Huffington Post by Peritus(m):
The author should have started from verse 2 of John's Gospel chapter 16 that he quoted. verse 2 says, "the time cometh that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. (3) And these things they do unto you because they have not known the Father, nor me."
Judge this yourself. People are blind to discover that this prophecy till this moment is being fulfilled by a group of people in the name of religion.

John 14:16-17 says "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever. (17) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be with you." There is no way on earth will this passage insinuate any other apart from the Holy Spirit.

How can Jesus that says we should love our enemies, pray for those who persecute us, do good to those who hate us and bless those who curse us(Mtt. 5:44) lay foundation for someone that literally killed and commanded the killing of those he termed infidels.
Op, your write-up belongs to the trash can.
